Ok you all know that i am not connected to the company that owns the digimon franchise and i do not own any rights to the renamon character, you all know my opion on the name renomon and i suggest that if you haven't read the other parts of my story please do so.

Chapter twenty three

The little girl stumbled up from the ground and fell back down still unuse to the changes her body had suffered, finally she crawled over to the table by the camera and stood up still crying.

"Daddy.....Mommy please help me, what's going on?!" she said as she cried.

She stumbled away from the table knocking the camera over as she did, the shot jumped and fuzzed out but you could still hear the sounds of children screaming then the mans voice came out of the speakers.

"You.....your not my daughter, you get away from here you MONSTER!!!"

"daddy what are you saying.....it's me Christy daddy, please make it stop hurting daddy please!"

just then the shot cleared up and showed the father running at the shifter child with a bat, he swung hard and connected with her side lifting her off the ground some and knocking her down.

"You are not my child!, now get away from here and don't come back or i'll kill you you freak!"

Just then the camera shut off ending the video, i brought up the video files again and started the next one.

A few seconds later the shot of a metal floor with three sets of boots came into view then the camera panned up and showed the faces of two men with bats laughing and joking with each other while wearing modified body armor then they turned to the camera.

"Hey this is jack"

"And this is james, and were are making this as a training video for all you would be shift hunters out their"

Jack spoke next, "Thats right this video will show you how to become a shift hunter but if you really want to be one of us then you should join the necro hunters"

They gave each other high fives and turned back to the camera exposing their shoulders to it giving the camera a good shot of the skull with a line threw it along with the words kill the shifters, "we necro's have the highest kill rate of shifters to date and we need you to join so we can keep that title going strong"

Just then another voice came out of the speakers and the shot panned over to the drivers seat of a van, "hey guys we got a report of a shifter kid that was seen not to far from here"

Jack's voice could be heared of to the side, "just a small one this time?"

"yeah looks like a girl to but the guy who called it in didn't say how old it looked just that it was a shifter"

Then the camera cut off for a second and came back on, when it did the time stamp showed that an hour had gone by and know instead of being in the van the two who called themselves jack and james were walking down the streets of some city and talking back to the camera.

"Supposedly this is the area where the shifter was seen, we still haven't found it yet but we have our nullifiers on just incase we do"

Right then james tapped his friend on the shoulder and started yelling, "Jack their it is!"

They both took off running across a street and the camera man followed after them, by the time he finally caught up the sounds of someone crying and grunting could be heard along with the crack of wood coming into contact with something soft.

"Die you filthy shifter!, we don't want your kind here".

the camera came into focus on jack and james as they beat the form of something small on the ground with their clubs.

This is all it showed for the next five minutes as they beat the shifter to death and yelled curses at it, finally they stopped hitting the motionless lump on the ground and turned to the camera panting.

Jack looked back at the bloody lump then the camera again, "and that is how you to can become a shift hunter...*huff, hufff*.....and if your lucky you may be able to join the necro hunters" he stood up straight and motioned for the guy holding the camera to get closer to their victim.

As he did the camera zoomed in and showed the broken and bloody form of a little girl wearing a dress that was covered in blood, she was spralled on the ground and her arm looked like hamburger meat and her head was caved in.

The little girls one good eye stared off blankly into the void and her large tongue had flopped out of her large mouth and onto the ground, Even threw all of the carnage that was done to her you could still tell it was the girl from the last video.

"Damn thats any ugly one, it's got to atleast be worth twenty points, what do you say jack"....*huff,huff*....

Jack never got the chance to reply because something black had sprouted from his chest making chunks of his ribs and whatever else came free splatter over his friends along with massive amounts of blood, he gave one last gurgle as he was ripped in half then his body fell to the ground and the blackness vanished showing his guts as they slid out of his shredded body and revealing a younger more emotional me as i stepped out of the shadows of the alley the event had taken place in.

I could see the sick look of glee on my younger self as i swiped a necro card and within a matter of seconds, i was falling on top of the other one and ripping him into pieces. The camera man had been to shocked to move even as my old self pulled away from the other one covered in blood and gore and turned to him, we both watched as i roared at the last man and i heard serinity gasp as massive black wings shot from my back then i jumped at the remaining offender, he droped the camera as i picked him up off the ground and the sound of flapping was heard along with his screams fading into the distance.

A few seconds later the sounds of his screaming came back and got louder then i heard serinity jump as the human hit the concrete with a sickening crack that smashed part of his skull in, suddenly his body jerked and blood shot from his mouth and hit the camera lens and the sound of tearing flesh could be heard along with cracking bones and a soft splat then silence.

then something wiped off the blood that covered the lens and my blood covered face came into view, "this is a messege to all shift hunters, for every one shifter that i learn about you killing i in turn will kill four of your men, that goes for you digimon as well....and just to prove my point i will leave your men here where everyone can see you for what you really are".

I turned the camera and paned over my carnage showing it what i had done to the three in the alley then i walked over to the van and jerked open the door, the dead body of the driver flopped out and came to a stop as the seatbelt pulled against him. His shirt was soaked in blood coming from his destroyed jaw because i had ripped it off and put it in his lap, "This is a warning hunters let the others know because whatever city i turn up in next i will be watching and if another shifter dies then so will you" i could hear the cold certainty and glee in my voice as i spoke.

I turned off the video and started unhooking everything, then i took it back to my chest and put it back in it's place. After everything was put away i turned back to look at the renamon and saw her looking at me like she was going to cry again, "don't those humans get in trouble for killing shifters?"

I studied her for a minute before answering, "i told you female shifters are abandoned by both humans and digimon, we have no rights when it comes to legal things so we are both free and restricted in what we can do"

She seemed to think about that for a second, "that was you wasn't it?, you were younger then but it was you"

I stood up and walked over to the balcony, "yes "it" was me....i was eight teen at the time and very stupid and for the next two years i went from city to city hunting and killing both shift hunters and their digimon for killing shifters, soon i came into the grasp of contact and he helped me fake my death so i could get the humans and digimon off of my trail for a while....in the end i started working for him doing jobs and earning money to support myself, i was so good at the kind of work he gave me that i soon became a shadow in the streets of night city, we both heard the rumors about me and he adopted the name as my street handle".

I felt her standing behind me and waited for her to walk away like everyone else i had shown those videos too, instead she suddenly pushed up against me and slid her arms around my chest and hugged me.

"Is it really like that for every shifter?"

"Most of those who don't get killed by shift hunters go on to try and lead normal lives in small towns in the ring while others go to work for the shift stations set up around the walls between the human and digital worlds, and those who can't do that become mercinaries like me"

I felt my heart pounding its way into my ears as she pressed into me and hugged tighter, "even someone like you most want to be held by someone who cares for you"

I felt something pulling at me from the back of my mind urging me to turn around and burry myself in her, to draw comfort from her that i had missed since i was a child and to let it all dissappear but i ignored the feeling and stepped away from her turning around as i did so to look at her.

"I have shown you why shifters cannot let emotions into their lives female and yet you unlike most you do this.....normally that would have been enough to put fear into a client and make them put distance between us, so why is it you stand before me offering comfort" i asked softly as i searched her face and blue eyes for anything i could find.

She smiled and stepped into me putting her head on my chest and making my heart pound even faster, "like you said Chad i'm just a naive female".

we stayed like that for a few minutes as i faught the urge to put my arms around her again then she spoke softly, "why won't you let anyone in chad, surely you must want something more out of your life. Like these small moments of comfort and safety"

"No i don't" i said as i gently pushed her away.

She looked up at me and i saw something in her face, "why not?"

I averted my gaze not being able to take the look she was giving me, "to sum it up as best i can, these moments no matter how beautiful they are.....even they fade into oblivion after they pass.....and leave nothing but darkness behind".

just then i heard a knock at her bedroom door, and stepped away from her then sat down on the banister looking out into the night sky.

"Enter"

the door slid open and a soft voice floated threw the room, "princess everything is ready for your bath when you are ready"

serinity turned to look at me then looked back at the servent, "very well i will go in a few minutes".

chapter twenty four

I followed serinity out of her room and threw the halls of the palace until we came to the back and stepped out the door, i looked around at the natural hotspring pools that dotted the large opened area.

There were three large ones and about five smaller ones, in the walled in area that were seperated by rows of bushes and plants but we were the only ones outside. As i followed serinity between the pools of steaming water i looked at the many different statues that the water was coming from before it hit the pools.

Some of them were renamon holding shields or swords while others showed different stages of evolution for the nightmare soldiers, she finally came to a stop in front of a small pool in the back with two towels and a two sets of what looked like soap.

I looked down at the extra set then to serinity, as she stepped into the steaming pool and sat down at the edge. She looked back at me expectantly before turning around and speaking, "you do realize the other set is for you dont you?"

I looked from her to the other set of things and back to her then she spoke again, "Chad your clothes reek of blood and you haven't had a bath in two days so you stink badly to me and probably to most of the kitsune you walk by so get undressed and get in the spring before i make you do it"

i studied her for a minute before taking off my coat and folded it then put it on the ground, next i took off my ripped up shirt and folded it then set it on top of my coat.

I took off my boots and socks then wrapped a towel around my waist before taking off my pants and slipping into the pool next to her.

The water felt good as i sat down at the edge of the pool, even as tall as i was the water level came up to my arm pits.

I immediatly started to wash myself as i sat there, after i was done i ducked down under the water and swam out getting my hair wet then i stood up and walked back over to the edge of the pool and out of reflex i tried to push my hair out of my eyes only to find it was still tied back with the ribbon serinity had put in my hair some time before.

I reached back and pulled on the ribbon letting it come loose and release my hair, i sat down at the edge of the pool and let the hot water pull the stiffness from me as i leaned back and let myself relax.

A few minutes later i felt something pull on my hair and i reacted on instinct, i jumped up and released the claws on my right hand as i turned around and lashed out at the offending creature.

"Stop!"

The claws on my prosthetic hand stopped inches from the eye of a female renamon servent who was holding a bowl filled with some sweet smelling stuff and looking at me with terror in her eyes, i looked over at serinity to find another renamon was washing her back fur so i slowly retracted my claws and lowered my hand and turned to her.

"what is that she has?"

serinity looked at the bowl then went back to relaxing and closed her eyes, "think of it like shampoo, it's not much different and it will make your hair smell better than it does now".

I eyed the digimon then reached over and unhooked my things from my pants and pulled them close then put my hand on the hilt of my new weapon before sitting down again.

I let the servent do her work as she washed my hair and back then when she was done i ducked down into the water again to wash out any loose things that were left, i came up and turned around and saw her taking my clothes away so i walked over and grabbed my belt with my things on it and looked it over.

when i saw everything was their i sat down again and looked around keeping my eyes peeled for any type of threat, i waited for serinity to get done with her bath then got out and looked around.

"What's the matter?"

"My clothes and boots were taken and i have nothing to wear until i get them back" i said flatly.

She laughed softly and started walking so i followed her, after we got to the exit we were met by two servents each holding a fresh towel. I dried off and handed the towel back and the servent handed me some new clothes, i took them and walked behind a blind and got dressed in the kimono and strange wooden shoes i had been given.

when i was done i took the ribbon and tied back my hair, then stepped out from behind the blind as i was putting on my belt. i looked at all of them as i walked out and saw them staring, i ignored them as i took up my position behind serinity and waited.

She thanked the servents and walked away as they bowed and i followed after her as she started off into the halls and back to her room, when we got back i walked over to my trunk and pushed it up against the wall and sat down on top of it watching her as she got into bed and lay down.

I sat awake and watched her as she fell asleep and after she had i turned on my porxi and set it on maximam range, then closed my eyes and tried to drift into a light sleep.

as i did i kept thinking about what i had shown serinity and the memories that it had sparked and it came back to me in my dreams.

I was sitting in the living room of my parents small house and looked back at them smiling then turned back to the t.v.

I felt the pain as my body went threw the changes, and i saw the look of horror on their faces as i looked back at them.

Next i was standing outside in the cold night air and my father was waving a pitch fork at me, i tried to reach out for his help but the look on his face wouldn't let me.

Next came the alleys of the city and the rain, i was digging threw a dumpster trying to find food when i heard a sound. I looked up and saw a bright light at the end of the alley then i heard a voice.

*It's one of those shifters let's get it and take it to the shift hunters*

Then i was running threw the back streets of the city trying to get away from the sound of humans running after me and yelling, suddenly i ran into a wall and fell to the ground. my head hurt as i looked around then back trying to see if they had found me.

*their's the filthy little thing!*

*get it before it gets away again!*

*but what about its wings?*

*if they worked it would have used them already, now lets get it!*

Threw the haze i saw them coming closer shining the light in my face, i felt one of them touch me and lashed out with my nails and heard him scream.

*Sonofa...the little basterd clawed me!*

next everything was a blur but i could here the screams of someone dieing then i heard another, when my vision finally cleared i was standing over the broke and mangle bodies of two men laying in front of me i looked down at myself and saw that i was covered in blood.

My hands were shaking as i looked at the bloody mess covering me then my gaze shifted back to the mangled bodies, *but i don't even remember moving!*

Just then i heard a voice come drifting back like a nightmare, *you didn't weakling but i did...heheheheHAHAHAHAHAHAHA*

my eye's snapped open and i looked around, i noticed i was breathing hard and i felt sweat rolling down my face *why after so long would i hear that voice again....that horrible voice* for some reason i reached down and put my hand on the sword that sat next to me and noticed it was warm. I also noticed something heavy resting on my chest and looked down, i saw Serinity resting her head on my chest and holding the covers on both of us as she slept.

I checked the time and saw it was a few hours before dawn so i picked her up gently and took her back over to her bed to set her down, as i walked she snuggled into me and started murring.

as gently as i could i bent down and layed her on the bed, when i did she wrapped her arms around me keeping me from getting back up she licked my cheek several times as i crouched over her. i waited until she let go and stood up then i grabbed the blanket from the floor and walked back over then covered her up.

I watched her for a bit and saw her curl up under the covers, i turned around and walked out onto the balcony and sat down in a chair looking out over the landscape waiting for the sun to rise.

chapter twenty five

The next day i felt some what gittery as i followed the princess on her morning rounds threw the palace but i kept it to myself as i walked behind her, eventually we came to a large hall that looked like it was being set up for a banquet and serinity walked back and forth across the hall talking to the servents as they got everything ready.

Eventually we left and serinity walked around the castle more until we came to a large open area were the soldiers were training with their weapons, she stopped at the edge of the walk way and i stood behind her and watched the guards as they went threw the fighting stances and moves with their weapons of choice.

"You seem uneasy chad, would you like to spare with one of the soldiers and get rid of that energy?"

I looked at her as she leaned on the railing and looked down at the soldiers, i looked out over the training field before answering.

"I do not think it wise and i doubt that any of your soldiers have what it takes to stand against a shifter like me"

She looked back at me and smiled, "you would be suprised at what our soldiers can do Chad"

With that she stood up and started walking over to a different area, i followed behind her as she walked and saw more soldiers. These ones were sparing with each other in three stone rings set into the ground, the crowd parted as we approched and the princess stopped at the edge of the middle ring.

As we watched the two sparing in the ring stopped to look at us, niether of them seemed the be panting hard as they looked at us.

"Princess what brings you to the sparing rings, perhaps you would like to test yourself again?" one of the soldiers asked.

"No captain today it seems that my bodyguard has a little to much energy and i would like to have him work it off if you don't mind"

The one who spoke looked from the princess to me and smiled a toothy grin before speaking, "by all means princess, i would be most happy to put him threw the paces of battle. I myself am curious as to what he can do in a fight"

Serinity looked back at me, "it is your move shadow".

I looked at her for a minute then took off the top of my kimono and walked past her into the ring, i felt the heat of the sun on my back as i walked around the ring once then i stopped back were i had started and took off the belt that held my things and put them on the ground at serinity's feet before standing back up and turning to look at my opponant.

I scanned the renamon standing before me and looked at his power levels, then i looked at his eyes carefully and took note of the overconfidance in them.

*He thinks that because he is a full digimon that i will be easy prey without my cards, unfortunatly for him he has never faught a shifter before and i am not a novice*.

"You may have your choice of weapons and you may switch out at any time captain, i on the other hand will not be useing one"

To make my point i motioned to my things on the ground outside the ring then turned back to look at the digimon, the renamon shrugged and smiled another toothy grin.

"Have it your way shifter but it is your fault if you get hurt, and just to make it fair i will not teleport"

Ingoring his last comment i walked to the center of the ring and stood with my arms behind my back, i watched the digimon as the he took up a spear and started circling me.

I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of his almost silent pads hitting the stone blocks beneath our feet, i listened carefully as he circled around me and started going threw the different ways he could attack me.

I visualized his position in my mind and the way he was standing by the sound of his steps, I waited as i heard him come around front then i heard him take three steps and the sound of the practice spear swinging threw the air came to me.

I ducked down and came back up after it had passed over my head, i opened my eyes and looked at him as he thrust at my head with the wooden spear.

I tilted my head to the right and felt the wind rush by my ear then he pulled back and thrust again taking a step forward as he did, his advances pushed me back but i never let the spear touch me as i slowly walked back.

I played with him for about five minutes as i dodged his attacks easily until he thrust at my stomach making me jump up, i landed on the spear shaft forcing it to the ground with my weight and looking at him as he stood there panting.

"Well now that the warmups are done are we going to start or would you rather play around some more?" i asked him in a flat tone.

*This is no challange, if this is there level of fighting then it would take atleast three more of them to even begin challanging me*

I saw him furrow his brow then he smiled another toothy grin at me, "very well shifter i admit i underestimated you, however i think we should make this more enteresting how about you?"

I raised an eyebrow at him, "explain"

Still grinning he ran forword trying to throw me of balance but i ran up the spear and did a flip over him and landed behind him facing his back, i had maybe a second to react as the sound of another weapon whistling threw the air behind me met my ears. I bent backwards and watched a practice sword pass in front of my face, i watched the new attacker turn the swinging blade into a downward strike and spun out of the way.

I came up from the spin and looked to my right in time to see the captain stab at my head with his spear making me lean back to avoid it, for the next fifteen minute i ducked and dodged the two weapons with ease as i thought of a way to make it more interesting.

I finally got a chance to make a move when they attacked in tandum, The captain thrust with the spear and the second attacker swung down with his sword. I grabbed the spear with my left hand and stopped the sword with the first two fingers of my right then stood up straight and looked at the captain, he was panting slightly and i could hear that the other attacker was a little winded as well.

"If you would like captain you can take a break and switch with one of your underlings until you've rested"

I felt the second attacker trying to break his weapon free of my grip as i looked as his commander.

"No shifter i am fine but i have to wonder if you can do anything besides dodge and dance"

I tilted my head at him before speaking, "are you sure you don't want to drag this out some more?, i'm sure that if you get two more soldiers in here i might actually be challanged"

"Shadow end this now, i still have many places to go today" serinity called from her place at the side of the ring.

I looked at her then back to the captian, "do not take this personally captain but i must end this as instructed"

The captain tilted his head at my as if to ask what i ment but before he could ask i snapped my fingers and broke the sword in my right hand then kicked out as fast as possible and connected with something soft, i was given a loud *oomph* for my efforts as my kick sent the digimon to my right flying back away from me.

I used the part of the spear i was holding and jabbed back several times before the captain could react and hit him three times, once in the stomach then the chest and finally in the tip of the muzzle then i used my other hand and brought it down on the tip of the spear as fast as i could.

The speed at which i did this made it hard for him to keep ahold of the spear shaft as it flew from his hand, i twirled the practice spear around me in a flurish as i stepped forward then i swept his feet out from under him knocking him to the ground before stricking out with the point of it.

I stopped a fraction of an inch from his throat and looked at him as he lay on the ground, "will you submit?"

The dazed look in his eyes faded quickly and he soon realized what had happend as he looked back at me, he gave my a toothy grin and laughed.

"Very well done shifter, very well done now i see why your here"

I twirled the spear around and away from his neck then brought it down butt first by my foot and held out my hand.

The renamon took it and i helped him up off the ground and gave back the spear then walked away, as i did the others gave me a wide birth as i bent down to pick up my things.

I got re-dressed and hooked my belt back on as i followed serinity back to the palace.

The rest of the day consisted of us walking around the palace and town visiting several places along the way and her making arrangement for the fayt her mother had told me about.

In all it was an uneventfull day until we got back to her room, after we got back i sat down in the chair and watched her as she busy'd herself with staying occupied.

Finally after an hour of her doing little things She turned to look at me, "Chad why did you not fight seriously?"

"Because they would have been no match for me if i had"

"Where did you learn to fight?"

I looked at her for a second then answered, "the shifter who found me taught me how"

She tilted her head, "do you know were he learned to fight?"

"underground tournaments"

"I thought those were illegal"

I shook my head, "Not when it comes to captured shifters it's not"

"Did you ever fight in one?" she asked.

"Yes"

"Do you only fight other shifters?"

I shook my head, "no, more often than not shifters are put into the ring with full digimon"

"Did you learn anything other than pit fighting?"

"yeah but i mostly trained myself over the years, with the internet for information i was able to study the pressure points of humans and most digimon"

She seemed to think about that for a minute before asking another question, "do you know any pressure points on a renamon?"

I nodded slowly trying to figure out were this was going.

"Will you teach me?"

I looked at her for a few minutes before standing up and closing the few feet between us, "hold out your arm"

She held out her left arm and i took her wrist in my left hand, i felt her shudder as i did but ignored it and pointed to a spot on the inside of her upper arm.

"If you hit here you can immobalize a renamons arm for the elbow down making it useless depending on the force you use"

She tilted her head and looked me in the eyes, "what about the other arm?"

she held that one up and i pointed to the same spot, "it is the same for this arm as well"

"What about taking the opponant out quickly?" she asked.

I let go of her arm and put three fingers on different spots on her torso where her ribs met her ab's, "to stop a frontal attack you can hit these points on the body and lock up the muscles until they are moved by an outside force or the effect wears off by its self"

"What about on humans?' she asked

I held up my arm and pointed to a spot just above the elbow on the inside, "this point will make any attackers arm useless when you hit it and since humans don't have the regenerative ablities of digimon they will never be able to use the arm again"

"Are there any other points i should know about?"

I pointed to my chest and touched several different places, "if you hit these points one after the other you will paralyze any human until they are hit again"

She studied the spots carefully before talking again, "so if i hit these points one after the other it will render a human attacker immobile until i hit them again?"

I nodded and started to turn but she stopped me, "what about if your attacking from behind?"

I studied her for a minute as i thought to myself, *why does she want to know all of this?, is it for her own gain or is she trying to show an intrest in me again?* that thought bounced around my mind as i stepped around behind her and touched my fingers to several places on her back that i knew held major nerve clusters unique to her species.

As the cold flesh colored metal of my right hand came into contact with her i noticed another shiver race threw her body but ignored it, *it is probably just her reacting to her heat, she is still young and might not understand what is going on*.

"A nightmare soldier has several weak point that are very sinsitive to touch most of these you know about as pleasure points like the one just above the base of the tail and bewteen the shoulder blades but a couple of them are kept hidden from everyone, like these ones" As i finished i tapped on the spots with a little force and felt her muscles turn to iron beneath her fur covered skin.

I stepped back around her and looked into her eyes to see that they had gone wide and were searching back and forth in a slightly paniced state, that seemed to fade when she locked them on my face.

"Can you move your body?", i asked her.

I heard her grunt with effort as she tried to move from her spot but all she was able to do was jerk her body a fraction of an inch from were she had been, i saw a cold shiver run from her eyes to the rest of her body as the realization of what i was truely capable of doing settled into her mind.

i stood in from of her and bent over slightly to look her in the face and almost reached out to touch her before i caught myslef mid motion, instead i reached passed her and tapped a spot on her neck . Suddenly she pitched forward as her body finally released its self from its paralyzed state, i held out my left arm and caught her before she hit the ground and as she came to a rest i saw she was panting and shivering slightly.

"Don't worry the after effect is only temperary female, but i should warn you that if i had left you like that you would have suffacated to death within a few more seconds", as i said this she placed a hand on my chest right over my heart to steady herself as she stood up straight.

Immediatly my heart tried to jump threw my ribcage as the touch sent a strangely pleasurable feeling threw my skin even threw the kimono i was forced to wear for the time being, she must have felt it too because she got a strange look on her face and turned to look at me then down at her hand.

Out of suprise to both her and my reaction i stepped back quickly she hadn't been ready for my to do that and slowly pitched over again, out of either instinct or reflex i scooped her up in my arms before she hit the ground and walked over to the edge of her bed and laid her on it.

As i did the smell of her heat hit me like a train and i felt my dick stir in the confines of the clothing i was in, i looked her over carefully as heat induced lust clouded my mind with thoughts of ravaging her body in as many ways as i could.
