Part 2: Electrokinesis
Hey, everyone. Pokémon Trainer Hilda here! Did I say Pokémon Trainer, even though I'm already in my late forties? Well, there are some occupations you can retire from; Pokémon Training isn't one of them to say the least. (Laughs) Death is really the only form of retirement for a Pokémon Trainer, kinda like Aura Guardians and politicians, but let's not go there. My nephew asked me to provide explanations for lightning based abilities, and I told him it'd be better for me to write out the whole part. Anyway, let's go!Electrokinesis, or electricity manipulation, is essentially what the name says. The user essentially creates electricity, and utilitizes it either for a defensive use, or an offensive use. And there are a handful of ways one can manipulate it. For those incapable of exactly using it, they can absorb it from existing sources for their own use, and there are those like Ethan and I who quite literally use our own bio-electricity to perform such attacks. Yes, our bio-electricity. If it wasn't obvious, that is very exhausting. But let's not talk about that.I guess like Aura Manipulation, there are a lot of abilities that can be pulled off, with various defensive properties, and that one attack that has a great degree of versatility. For defense, we've got what is essentially a lightning shield. Think of a ring of lightning that protects the user from attacks and stuff. In some ways, it's more powerful than an Aura shield, while in others the latter is superior. (Grins) I'd list ways a lightning shield is superior, but where's the fun in telling? Our powers have passive uses though. We can use it to heal people, but such power is better suited for defibrillation, if it wasn't obvious. And surprise, surprise there are limitations. The biggest one is that we don't have an infinite use of our electricity. I should stress that one can train hard enough with particular attacks to be able to use them without wasting any energy, but that happens very rarely. As electrokinetics, we do have the advantage to replenish our reserves by literally draining electricity from existing sources, which even heals us of any severe injuries we might've gotten. Think of transformers, vehicles, and.......................leeching the bio-electric energy from other humans, even Pokémon. The last is a move that only should be used when you have no other choice, I have to stress that detail. Do I even need to say why?At the moment, that's all I can really say without going into spoilers. Lastly, only a few can truly utilize electrokinesis. I suppose that part was too obvious, but I felt it was necessary to bring up. In
the meantime, have a good day everyone. *a shuffling sound can be heard as Tessler heads back to his iPad*That's all we can really say at the moment. But next time on this little sub-series, Type Effectiveness! What's super effective and what's not
