They were sitting inside one of the local pubs, Oddfellas. As the two sat at one of the tables, the girl eating an omelet while the wolf sat in front of her, drinking some juice… while she had some coffee.
After she took a bite, chewing it before swallowing, she asks, “How come you aren’t having coffee?”
The wolf turns towards her, sapphire meeting emerald, to which he would furrow his brow, wondering why she was asking. “Oh, just because… not really a coffee drinker…”
“Oh… well… have you tried it?”
“Tried coffee? Nah… just not something I’d want to try.”
“How come?”
“Go back to eating.”
He was avoiding answering some of her questions. What his reasons were for not answering them, he would never say, instead going back to drinking his juice.
“Do you have any crushes?”
“Crushes?”
“Yeah, anyone fancy your heart?”
With a heavy sigh, he would turn away from her once more, doing what he usually did when he was about to avoid the question.
“No… no one that I can think of… why are you so curious?”
“Well… on our way here, I saw all the… well… the other animals… so… this is obviously not a prank… so might as well get to know you better, right?”
“Should I take that as a good thing or a bad thing?”
“Um… good thing.”
The wolf would slowly nod, drinking the last of his juice before he says, “Good… now finish your meal.”
She would roll her eyes before- “How old are you?”
“I’m twenty two, you?”
“Eighteen… how did you get your own place?”
“That’s for me to know.”
So silently, knowing he wasn’t going to answer her, she went back to eating her omelet. Maybe he will open up if she talks to him more… or something.
Fifteen minutes later, the two had made it back to his place, the wolf sitting on the couch while the girl stood up, trying to figure out how she actually got here.
“Maybe aliens…”
That got his attention. He frowns, turns towards her before he chuckles. “Aliens? You sure have a lovely imagination.”
“What about worm holes?”
“Do you know how worm holes work?”
“I watch movies you know.”
“I don’t know if that is an accurate source of information.”
The girl rolled her eyes before shooting out another theory. “Maybe I’m in the future… what year is it?”
“2016…”
“Oh… guess it’s not the future…”
The wolf resisted the urge to laugh, his lips curling into a smile. She would give him a short glare before a knock would come from the door. The girl jumped a bit, looking towards the noise before looking at the wolf, who stood up to answer the door.
As she stood there, in a simple white shirt and blue jeans, probably left over from an ex of his or something, she heard the wolf say, “Oh, hey Luke.”
“Yo Alex, what’s up?”
“Not much, what about yourself?”
“Oh you know, just decided to pay you a visit.”
“Ah… well come on in then.”
Footsteps came up the stairs, followed by ears and then a head… and as the canine came upstairs, he paused when he spotted her.
“Um… Alex… I didn’t know you had company…”
“Oh… right… Luke, there’s a girl over. That a problem?”
Luke gave her a quick smile before walking the rest of the way, to which she blushes heavily as she turns away, being that the canine was completely naked. Luke chuckled as he sat down, legs spread before he asks, “So, what’s your name girlie?”
“Um… uh…,” and she would look towards him, only to look away as her eyes fell upon his junk.
“That’s a weird name. But not the weirdest name… so how are you Umuh?”
“My name is Cassandra… my friends call me Cassie…”
“Oh… so how are you Cassandra?”
Cassie couldn’t even look at him, simply staring at a chair before answering him. “I’m… um… I’m good…”
“Well that’s good.”
Alex would soon make his way up the stairs. Whatever he had been doing down there, he was finished now. So as he walks up the stairs, stopping when he hit the landing, he would look at her before looking at the fox before asking, “Luke, why are you showing her your balls?”
“Oh… am I? Well… she won’t be the first to see them… nor the last.”
“Luke, close your legs, you’re making her nervous.”
Luke would turn towards him and, with a smirk, he would ask, “Do I make you nervous?”
“No, now close your legs.”
So Luke would roll his eyes before bringing his leg over the other, hiding his private parts from Cassie. “Ok, fine.”
Cassie would soon turn towards the fox before she smiles softly. “Thank you… um… Luke.”
The fox would simply give a short nod, smiling before he asks, “Why are you so nervous around balls?”
“I’m sorry?”
“Why are you so nervous around balls?”
“I’m not… I just don’t know you…”
“Well my name is Luke, I live three houses away, I work at Taco Bell, my social security number is 9-”
Alex would place a paw on him, stopping him before he went too far. “Ok, that’s enough information out of you Luke.”
The fox would slowly nod before he asks, “What about you Cassandra?”
“What about me?”
Alex smacks Luke on the back before saying, “Stop it.”
“Sorry…”
“So what brings you here?”
“Just wanting to visit… if you want, I can go…”
“I’ll call you tonight, ok?”
Luke would nod before standing up, his balls and sheath becoming visible once more to Cassie, who looked down to avoid looking at them. As he walked down the stairs before leaving, closing the door behind him, Alex looks towards Cassie before he says, “Well, that was Luke. Nice guy, I like him.”
“Yeah… is he always naked?”
“Yep, always. You get used to it though.”
“How?”
“The more balls you see, the less of an impact they have on your day to day interactions.”
“Really?”
“That or encounter a horse. It’ll blow your mind away…”
“A horse?”
“Don’t ask…,” and Alex would stretch out on the couch, placing his legs on the couch.
“You seem to have some interesting… encounters…”
“Meh, just an average day…”
Cassie slowly nods, looking around, stopping only when she spotted the television. “Wanna watch some TV?”
“What do you have in mind?”
“Um… Animal Planet?”
“Animal Planet?”
“Yeah, on channel forty three…”
“You mean Feral Planet?”
Cassie turns to look at him before she asks, “Does it have Jeff Corwin and Steve Irwin and their shows on it?”
“Well… yeah… they canceled Steve Irwin though because… well… he got killed by a feral stingray… it was really sad…”
“Yeah… it was… what about that one show… um… Most Extreme?”
“I got a couple episodes recorded if you wanna watch em?”
“Okay, sounds good… what about movies?”
“Like what?”
“Um… scary movies?”
“Alright, I have a lot of them in my cabinet.” He would stand up and head towards the television and the cabinet it rested on, getting on his knees before opening the two doors underneath. As he looks through, he would say the title of a movie, either getting a yes or a no from Cassie.
“The Strangers?”
“Um… no.”
“Scream?”
“No…”
“Prom Night?”
“Sure.”
So grabbing the DVD case, he pulls it out before popping the case open, placing the DVD inside the DVD player, after he turned it on and opened it of course. Closing the tray, he would stand up before grabbing the remote, pointing it at the DVD player before hitting play.
“Are you gonna sit over there or do you want to sit next to me?”
“I’m going to sit over here, but thanks for the offer though.”
