Krim's Intro
Rain battered the top of the large steel cage as the arctic wolf within lay curled up against the bars. 9501. That was what his captors called him although Krim was his true name. He was A wolf stripped of everything; his home, his lover, his life, his pride. He was a prisoner of war. A reckless war to say the least, one he himself didn't know why it was fought except out of pure bloodlust and greed. His starking blue eyes stared out into the sky as if looking for his savior; he knew he wouldn't find them but it was all he could do other than sleep, and he dare not risk that for fear of punishment by his captors.
The wolf was large himself, standing 6'4" at full height. He was also muscular and well built, being a warrior for his village before becoming a prisoner. His body was scarred now, whip marks and slashes etched into his fur giving him a barbaric look. Though he had lost everything, his eyes still gleamed with a sense of hope. His captors tortured him vigorously to try and rip that hope out of him, but as it was his nature, he stood defiant. He would lash out against his captors knowing it would lead to a harsher punishment but he couldn't help himself. A caged wolf was always more dangerous than a free one he thought.
His thoughts wandered this night. So much had happened in such a short time. He still relived the day his life was torn asunder.~
~The sun shone down upon the village of koaka,  though there was a mask of gloom on all the villagers. Everyone had heard the rumors that war was approaching and the black smoke that rose on the horizon did not ease their worries. Krim stood at the gate of the village, ordering his fellow soldiers to prepare ditch holes in the path and to set up traps along the forest. His village was small. He knew they could not stand up to an army, but he wasn't going to give up without taking them down with him.
He left the front line leaving the warriors with his second in command and he started walking toward his small home. His armor weighed him down considerably, making the walk seem like a hike up a hill. He took off his helmet and wiped the sweat off his brow as he continued to his home. His mind wandered to his lover Mark. He couldn't help but grin as he thought about him. He imagined holding the smaller black wolf in his arms as they had done so many times before.
It wasn't much, a small well built cabin was his and his lover's home. They had always preferred a small comfy home rather than a large extravagant one. Enjoy the simple things in life was a saying they were both fond of. Krim padded up and peeked his head inside the open door of his home . He was greeted by a warm set of lips that locked onto his own. Krim could tell it was Mark and they kissed passionately for a minute, their tongues dancing around each other as Krim ran his paw through Mark's head fur. Mark pressed up against the larger wolf's body as he gently nibbled on his tongue. All their troubles seemed to melt away as the two wolves kissed.
A knock on the door quickly jarred the two out of the moment. Krim looked back awkwardly as Mark hid behind him and peered over his shoulder wondering who had just come. It was their neighbor Sarah. " well, I see you two are fond of the saying ‘make love not war'" she yelled half jokingly half serious.
"I was just greeting him" Krim said quietly, a blush forming under the wolf's white fur. Sarah chuckled as she saw Mark's tail sway behind Krim as if he had two tails himself.
"I didn't know Mark was the one that took the rear post Krim" Mark's eyes widened and he couldn't help but giggle. Krim's face reddened even more. "he.. Erm... never..mind." Krim tried to shrug off the comment and turned to embrace Mark in a bear hug, lifting him off the ground. Mark wrapped his arms around Krim and licked his face. They both stared into the others eyes lovingly and were again interrupted by Sarah.
"Jeez get a room you two." Sarah said smugly.
"this IS our house you know"
"well when the door was open I didn't expect to see a public sex show" she mocked the wolves playfully.
"we weren't having sex!" by this time Krim had put Mark down and his heart was racing as he thought about having sex with mark. His thoughts were interrupted as he heard Mark whisper ‘yet' from behind him and he turned around to see him smirking. Krim shot him a quick glare and he went off into the kitchen giggling.
Sarah nudged Krim in the back and he turned around abruptly. "you really love him don't you?'
"of course I do. I'd sacrifice my life for him." Sarah's face turned grave and Krim realized what she was going to say.
"you have to tell him he has to leave..." Sarah said under her breath as if trying to hide the inevitable truth. Mark wasn't a warrior and Krim couldn't act as though he was. He couldn't risk having him fight in the upcoming battle.. He loved him too much to risk his life. Krim could only nod and let his tail lower down between his legs. Sarah hugged him before turning around and leaving the home, not knowing what to say to make his ordeal any easier. It was their strategy. Distract the enemy with warriors while those who could aided the pups and elderly out into safety. Mark would have to leave to help the others escape and Krim had to help the warriors fight off the enemy. His ears flattened as he began to wonder how he would tell Mark about the plan. It wasn't going to be easy.
Krim padded into the kitchen to find Mark washing the dishes. He was humming a tune as he shook his tail to the rhythm of it. A small smile crept across Krim's face and he walked up behind Mark. He grabbed his ass with his paws and Mark let out a soft yip. Mark leaned his head back and looked up at Krim, "hey there sexy"
" hi there gorgeous." Krim pressed his lips against Mark's softly. Mark returned the kiss and turned around, wrapping his arms around Krim's neck. Before they could be lost in the growing ecstasy, Krim broke the kiss and started into Mark's eyes.
"what's wrong?" mark asked, knowing something was troubling the larger wolf. Krim stood silent and couldn't say anything for a few moments. Mark nuzzled his neck gently, licking at his fur causing Krim to let out a soft murr.
"c'mon hun, tell me what's bothering you" Krim sighed and hung his head slightly as he took a deep breathe.
"you.. Have to leave the village with the others.." Krim said under his breath. Mark took a step back as if he had been slapped.
"..w-why?! I want to help you and be there with you fighting!" he shouted.
"I cant let you do that.. I cant put you at risk-" "risk?! YOU'RE going to be at risk!" he cried.
"but I'm a fighter, that's my job.. I love you too much to let you risk your life fighting.." he murmured.
" krim.. Please.. you know how much I love you! You know id do anything for you!" mark sobbed as he threw himself into krim's arms. "I don't want to lose you.."
Krim wrapped his arms around mark and held him against his body softly nuzzling the smaller wolf's head. "ill always be in your heart.. Just as you're in mine" he whispered into his ear.
Mark slowly drew himself away from Krim. " do you.. Really want me to go with them..?" he said in a whisper. Krim could only look down at the ground and nod, his heart feeling as if it'd just been stabbed. Mark nodded as well and padded slowly to their bedroom and began to pack things up for the journey.
Krim stood in the kitchen, his paws on the counter as he held back tears. His breathing was shallow and broken, and he could hear mark sobbing from the other room. Krim shook his head furiously and regained his composure as he padded out the house, closing the door behind him. He slowly made his way back to the entrance of the village, resuming perparations for the battle.
Mark stood in the house, getting his things packed, and even some of krim's, in his hope that they would somehow win and return. He couldn't help but let tears stream down his face, getting his fur soaking wet. If only he'd been stronger, more athletic, he could help and be with his love. He was a quick wolf, everyone knew that, but he didn't have any strength. He blamed himself for not taking more pride in working out his body, and now he had to be split up from his love. His despair quickly turned to anger as he continued to think about it. He should be able to stand by his love if he wished. And the more he thought about it, the more he was determined to do it. He quickly wiped away his remaining tears and continued to pack his things. He'd fight by Krim's side if it was the last thing he'd do, he swore to himself he would.
