Aboard the Falcon Wing
The conflict between humans and the Varhesh, an anthropomorphic race of Lizards, isn't going well. The humans engineer a plot to kidnap the Lizard prince and thus cripple their morale. However the prince is sly and has a plan to slowly convert the crew of his kidnappers into full members of his species.
This is my first full non-human tf story. Any constructive criticism is welcome!
Everyone was on a great mood aboard the Falcon Wing. They had done it! All that time tracking and staying low had come to fruition.
The humans had set their eyes on Greezul, one of the Lizard king's sons. The cunning scaly fiend had been responsible for the failure of at least a dozen human raids. The reptilians were sneaky and seemingly popped up out of the thick forest trees unnoticed and attacked with fierce determination against the human invaders.
But not that night. The hunter had become the hunted. A party of humans sneaked into one of the Lizard's villages. With most of the human forces moving further south, no one had expected a human attack. It was swift and simple. They got in, fought whoever appeared and kidnapped the Lizard prince. The apparent suicide mission had turned out to be the first major success in the war against the lizardfolk.
Jerrik was the First Mate aboard the Falcon Wing, the brand new war carrack. Despite being only 27 he had already seen his share of naval warfare and distinguished himself on multiple occasions. The honour of securing Greezul and take him to the human capital would be get him a huge recognition. He didn't even appear to have a navy officer for the royal navy. He was short, about 5'6 and thin. He could barely grow a beard (which he shaved anyway) and his chestnut hair was cut short. But he had earned his place giving his max at whatever he did and, truth be told, he had been an instrumental part in the preparation of the abduction of the Lizard prince.
And there they were. At first the crew on-board only saw the vegetation shaking. They had no clue whether it was friend or foe butsoon enough a familiar face showed up and requested assistance for the incoming party. Some men lit up a couple of torches and went on to meet the raiding group, which only had the pale moonlight to guide them for fear of being easily tracked otherwise.
Jerrik watched as they brought him aboard. Greezul was indeed impressive. He was far taller than any of the crewmembers, over 8 feet tall with thick heavy muscles. His leathery scales were a deep green, nearly black on his back, arms, legs, head and tail. Cream-like colour scales filled his chest and belly, far softer than the thick green ones.
Four tired men dragged the unconscious enemy aboard the ship, while two others followed closely by with spears on their hands. There was no telling when the enormous anthropomorphic Lizard would wake up.
The unsettling calm aboard gave way for a joyful and relief mood on the Falcon Wing. Many watched in triumph as the enemy prince was carried aboard and then taken to the below deck. Others cheered and greeted the incoming crewmembers cheerfully. The captain approached Jerrik. He was a tall man with a thick black beard that was beginning to grow grey on his goatee, a grey that was also spreading on his receding hair.
"First Mate Jerrik! A splendorous victory, would you agree?" Captain Verwin said.
"Indeed, Captain. I'm gladly surprised we managed to actually get him."
"It was a huge gamble on our part. I'm glad it payed off. The king will be most pleased when we get home. Did you see what he did to Hakors and Orwyn? Almost sliced up the buggers with his devilish claws." Jerrik felt ashamed, he had been looking so intensely at the Lizard that he forgot to look at the crew that had just returned. "Did we lose anyone?" he asked.
"Fortunately no. Dreskoll did a hell of a job back there. He even managed to knock out that beast, I was told. Anyway, we'll talk later about this. Make sure the ship's ready and put us on route to the Royal City before they send someone after us, First Mate Jerrik. I'm going to pay our illustrious guest a visit" The Captain snickered and then left.
Jerrik gave the order and at once the men on board ended their cheerful celebration and got to their positions. The anchor was lifted and soon enough the Falcon Wing abandoned the coast of the Lizard island, sailing the dark waters. Despite Jerrik's deeper concerns, the enemy didn't show up. Probably since most of their ships were engaging the human fleet on the other side of the island.
When the captain got out of the below deck he was smiling like a child. He even shared his valuable wine (just a small glass, of course) to celebrate the occasion with the crew. After taking a drink of his own, Jerrik asked the Captain how the prisoner was. Captain Verwin merely laughed out, saying that the "stupid Lizard beast" had finally regained his senses but was safely locked in the ship's jail. He allowed Jerrik to meet the prisoner himself.
Thanking the opportunity to meet with the prized prisoner, Jerrik climbed down the stairs. Truth be told, Jerrik was fascinated about the lizardfolk. They were a fierce opponent who had built their society on firm pillars of loyalty and discipline. Brutal in combat and yet they held a cold calculated intelligence. He found the Lizard in a cage, guarded by two men (who were of course far enough so that the reptilian's arm couldn't grab them). They had that cage for mutineers and common prisoners of war. A prisoner as noble as that one would be given accommodations second only to the captain's, though the general distrust of the reptilian species and the sheer strength that one held were reason enough to dump him in the most secure area.
Greezul was sitting in a corner on the wooden floor covered with hay. He attempted to appear neutral although his eyes were cold and it was possible to hear him grit his teeth. Even then his sheer size and muscles were threatening and menacing at any situation. He was only wearing a brown loincloth, which showed that the humans had really caught him unprepared for a fight. Jerrik walked carefully towards the cell, still analysing the captive foe. The guards acknowledged the presence of the First Mate and remained in sentinel.
Even without armour and weapons the creature was amazing. His claws were sharp and could easily rip thorough clothes and skin. And those fangs! Even with his mouth close, some of his teeth were constantly on display. With that strong and big jaw and those little knives that were his teeth, the beast could probably bite off the entirety of a human hand. Jerrik's steps got quieter the closer he got.
"What do you want, human? Stare at your captured prize?" The Lizard spoke with a deep tone that startled Jerrik, who found himself at a loss of words. "I... yes. I was curious about you."
"Really?" The reptilian asked in mockery, finally opening his small and menacing yellow eyes. "Here I am, human. Count yourself lucky to gaze upon Greezul, the Sly" the Lizard got up, which made the floor tremble a bit. "In all his glory" he added. He couldn't stand completely as his head would just hit the wood above so he just moved his head closer to the bars, raising Jerrik's heart rate.
Jerrik admitted: he was truly terrifying. He himself looked like a kid next to the humongous creature. Even his tail was massive, nearly occupying the length of the cage. And those dark green scales in that dim lantern light seemed to be made of darkness. "Ha! The Sly? You call yourself that even now that we've captured you?" Jerrik mocked, trying to assert his position and confidence.
"Humph, a carelessness of mine. You talk tough, even though your species has never even won a single battle until today" "Something that is about to change. The greatest war asset of your people is you and without you they are lost." Jerrik said with a more secure tone.
"Such foolishness. You rub victories you never had yourself against the being that fought you on five occasions and on five occasions won. Open the cage, human, and let's see which one of us wins." Jerrik stood stoically in front of the Lizard with his arms crossed.
"I thought so." The reptilian replied. "Your dear Captain was just the same, spat out some funny words and left. Cowards and thieves, all of you." He groaned and again sat down. "What do you mean, thieves?" Jerrik asked. "At least the human admits his cowardice! Ha ha!" Greezul mocked. "One of your fellow mates stole an important thing from me, an amulet. It is meant for the successor of the king and under any circumstance am I to take it off, even for a moment. It angers me that I'm disrespecting our traditions due to your thievery."
"You're making a lot of assumptions, lizard. Who took it, then?" Jerrik said in a dismissal tone.
The reptilian quickly got up again and got as close to the human as possible, his snout touching the cold metal of the cage. "Do not make a fool out of me, human! After you puny insects put me unconscious I woke up without it! Capture me a thousand times for all I care! But that amulet is not for your greasy thieving hands!" He shouted loudly. The guards made Jerrik take a step back as they stood ready, wielded their spears, fearing the creature would start a violent outburst.
Jerrik himself was scared of the Lizard's rage. He felt that his heart would blow up at any second. Luckily, Greezul calmed down but his stare was still filled with hatred. "Find it or this will be a very uncomfortable voyage" he grunted as he turned around and lied on the floor.
"I'll see what I can do about your medallion" Jerrik replied, receiving only an unintelligible grunt in reply.
Jerrik left the below deck, still nervous. The giant Lizard was frightening. He figured he had better find that damned amulet, if only to pacify the angry Lizard. He also wanted to check on Hakors and Orwyn but the medic forbade any visit, saying only they were not in danger. He could wait until tomorrow, then. It was the peak of the night and not another ship on sight. He went to bed and slept peacefully.
The next morning Jerrik went to the medical bay of the ship to visit Hakors and Orwyn, the two men who alongside Dreskoll fought the Lizard prince. They were doing fine, considering they had been cut by those nasty claws. Hakors had been sliced in his belly, while Orwyn had some claw marks on his head (which luckily missed his right eye) and chest. The medic had assured that the wounds were non-fatal but had them stay under his supervision for then night. Jerrik was glad that there were no casualties or severe injuries.
"Hakors and Orwyn! The heroes of the night!" Jerrik said as he met them. "As if! That blasted Dreskoll stole our prey!" Hakors complained. "Hakors, you idiot! That's no way to greet the First Mate!" Orwyn complained. "I apologise, sir. That Lizard thing apparently killed the last of his good manners!"
"Please, there's no need to apologise. I'm here to check on you. And believe me, Hakors, everyone is looking up to you two. Only the brave would dare face a foe like that. Jerrik said.
"You should've seen it, sir. We snuck up on their encampment, took down the guards on patrol and then puff! They never stood a chance when we got inside. They were either sleeping or about to go to sleep. Then I saw him. The largest of them all. I didn't hesitate and attacked him." Orwyn recalled with a glimmer of pride in his eyes.
"Yes, you nearly got yourself killed if I hadn't been there, kid." Hakors added.
Jerrik smiled, seeing his crewmates lively after suffering those nasty injuries. "Listen, there's another reason I'm here. The Lizard told me he had an amulet with him. Do you know anything about it?"
The two injured men stood silent. Orwyn gave a concerned look towards Hakors, who gulped and lowered his eyes. "Shit, sir. I don't see the harm in it. We wanted the Lizard and we got him. No one said anything about a damn amulet" he complained.
"That's not how this works, Hakors. You know we aren't allowed to keep any treasure without the Captain's consent. Besides, enemy or not he is still a prince. Stealing from royalty is never okay. If the Captain found out about this he would probably cut your hand" Jerrik said in a serious tone.
"You're right, you're right. It's just... after that bloke Dreskoll snuck up and hit the bastard in the head I figured he'd become the hero and no one would care about us, you know. I wanted my fair share of glory. For me and Orwyn here. We were the ones who faced him, you see. So I snagged the amulet right after he hit the floor. Please don't tell the captain, sir. I just figured I'd sell it and share the money with Orwyn" Hakors begged, his eyes slowly tearing up.
"Just give it to me and we'll forget about this whole issue, okay?"
"Thank you, sir!" Hakors then reached under his pillow and presented the amulet to Jerrik. It was big, with an oval green stone. It seemed to have a small light inside it. Every few seconds it would bright up parts of the green. It was almost hypnotic. It was also massive. Even on the Greezul's neck it would surely stand out. Even the gold chain was huge, made to fit the neck of the prince.
"It's quite heavy" Jerrik said, enchanted by the beauty of the amulet. "I don't like it" Orwyn said. "It looks weird and it's probably cursed."
"Oh shut it, Orwyn" Hakors said.
Jerrik gave a smirk and left the medical bay, again assuring the nervous Hakors that he wouldn't tell the captain about what happened.
"Ah, First Mate Jerrik, I need to speak with you" the Captain said as he saw him leave the medical bay.
"Yes, sir? Is there anything wrong?"
"Yes and no. the good news is that those reptilian scum are not pursuing us but that one down there is angry and he refuses to talk to me. I guess me mocking him yesterday left him bitter. Fucking Lizards. Go down there and see if you can calm him down".
"Yes, sir!" Jerrik said but hesitated for bit before he added: "Sir, I've come across something I believe belongs to the prisoner." "Oh really? Great, just blackmail him or return it to him and see if he calms down, whichever works. That beast has already cracked the floor and punched the bars until they bent. If he continues his tantrum he might as well sink the whole ship. Now, get to it." Luckily the Captain's bad mood erased any questions he would normally have. Jerrik sighed in relief, knowing that Orwyn and Hakors's secret would probably stay with them.
Jerrik figured that the captive lizard would appreciate the return of his amulet. He met again with him at once. This time he was visibly angry. The calm demeanour of the previous night was replaced with occasional grunting and walking back and forth his cell. However he calmed down as he saw Jerrik. "Human. Have you brought me what is mine?" He asked, approaching the iron bars.
Jerrik took out the amulet from his pocket. "Is this it?" he asked with a hint of mockery.
Greezul's eyes opened wide in surprise and joy. "You actually did it, human. Tell me, what's your name?"
"I'm Jerrik. Here, you can have it back. Just promise you'll stop wrecking the ship" the first mate said as he saw the damage: the floor had a large crack and some iron beams were bent from the lizard's strong hands. Even one of the guards' spear had been broken when he had attempted to stop the violent outburst of the prisoner.
"Fair enough, Jerrik. I never expected you people to tactually keep promises" the huge reptile said as he put the amulet around his neck. "You have served me well" he added.
"Serve? I only serve my Captain and His Majesty himself!" Jerrik replied in anger.
"Ha ha! So temperamental!" Greezul laughed. "I'm sorry. I can speak your tongue well but I still fail at the meanings of some of your words. But trust me, Jerrik: you would be much happier serving me."
"Like I'd ever serve a Lizard!" Jerrik spat at the mere thought of that happening.
Again, Greezul just laughed. "I'm too much in a good mood to care about your pestering insults! Ha! Just a piece of advice: don't call us Lizards" his tone suddenly got slightly menacing.
"Fine, whatever. Just don't destroy the ship" Jerrik said dismissingly.
"Oh, I would never do that. Not with such a nice crew aboard..." Jerrik merely shrugged and walked away. But before he left, he noticed the grin on Greezul's face. There was something odd about it, a deep disturbing smile had lit up on his face. Jerrik walked up the stairs with a bad feeling in his gut.
The rest of the day went by peacefully. The wind was favourable and they would hit their home waters sooner than expected if the weather continued like that. Wherever the crew looked they saw the vast blue emptiness of the sea. The only time they saw land was by sunset. The three small and empty Snail Islands were visible on the port side of the ship.
By the end of the day, Hakors and Orwyn finally left the medical bay and were applauded by the crew, even by Dreskoll, who named the two the real heroes of the capture. Jerrik smiled and continued his duties until late that night.
As he drifted to sleep he was plagued with strange dreams. There was a voice whispering something, though he didn't know what it said. Pictures flashed in his mind. Men in armour, men in regular clothing and... naked men. They posed seductively but then they disappeared, replaced by lizardmen...
When Jerrik finally woke up he felt tired and he had a headache. Jerrik had dreamt almost all night though now he couldn't recall what the dreams were about. He drank a glass of water and got ready for a new day. Apparently some of the other crewmembers were feeling as bad as him. "It's been a while since I've slept this bad" Dreskoll claimed "I've spent two whole days fightin' and never felt as crappy as today."
"It's strange, yes. Maybe we've been under pressure for a while now and it's beginning to show" Jerrik said and then yawned.
"I also had these weird dreams" one of the crewmembers said. "Though I don't remember what it was all about". "Me neither" said Hakors. "But I remember it involved those damn Lizard things."
"You took such a beating you still fear them!" another sailor mocked.
"Oh, laugh as much as you want. I bet it's that monster down there playing tricks on our minds!" Hakors replied in a serious tone. The other crewmembers laughed and mocked him "At least we have you to save the day again, huh?" Hakors was getting frustrated and before the situation could escalate further, Jerrik ordered his men to attend to their duties.
However all men on deck were focused on something else behind Jerrik. None muttered a single word. Their jaws were wide open, some even rubbed their eyes to confirm what they were seeing. When Jerrik turned around, he too could barely believe what he saw. The giant prince Greezul emerged from the below deck, accompanied by the two guards. On his neck the precious amulet shone periodically. Jerrik was about to step in and demand to know what was happening but Captain Verwin spoke first. "Do not be alarmed, men. The situation is under control. I have invited the prince to my cabin. Attend to your duties and leave us be for the moment."
The Lizard got inside the captain's cabin (of course he had to lower his head to get past the small door) and the door was shut.
The crew was silent. That was beyond strange. Still, orders were orders and soon Jerrik made sure that everyone got to their position. He himself was feeling uneasy about this situation as well but he hoped the Captain knew what he was doing.
By midday, Captain Verwin sent someone to bring Jerrik. The First Mate entered the Captain's cabin, only to find a table for three. "Welcome, welcome, First Mate Jerrik. We are about to have lunch. Come on, sit down."
Jerrik noticed that Greezul sat at the head of the table, the Captain's seat. This was strange. It wasn't the first time Jerrik sat at the Captain's table but he had never seen him surrender his seat to anyone else.
It was so strange to sit with the Lizard. Especially at the Captain's request. He almost felt like he was being tricked on.
"Captain, I am surprised you let the prisoner up here and without any guards!" Jerrik said, trying to sound as neutral as possible.
"The prince and I have been talking for a while now. I agreed it would just be barbaric to leave him locked down there. He is our captive but he is still royalty!" The Captain replied. There was no hint of sarcasm or falsehood. Diplomacy with the Lizards had never been the Captain's strengths. This behaviour was worrying Jerrik. "I never would have guessed just how interesting your people are" Captain Verwin carried on in a calm diplomatic tone. Was it some game he was playing?
"It is entirely my pleasure. Unfortunately our people never had much contact with yours outside combat, that is. I am one of the few who can fully understand your language."
"Could you please share with us something in your mother tongue? I'm curious to learn more about it" the Captain said.
Greezul laughed. "Of course, of course. Let's see..." he then said something that neither of them understood. The language was strange: he moved his thick tongue, making some grunts and hissing sounds as well, his deep and strong-sounding tone showed dominance and control.
"What... did you say?" Jerrik asked, feeling unsure. "That it's time to eat, of course! I'm hungry!" Greezul said and gave a hearty laugh. The captain had his servant provide some food, great food in fact. The Captain served the freshest meat and vegetables alongside his esteemed red wine. The Lizard ate with his hands. After all the forks and knives were puny on his hands. He also drank from a bowl, as the cups were also small for him.
"It is a shame humans and Varhesh can't get along. Honestly" the Captain said after taking a sip from the wine.
"Varhesh...?" Jerrik asked in confusion. "Yes, the race of our guest here. How barbaric of us to call you «Lizards», truth be told. As you see, the normal human doesn't know a thing about you" The Captain said. His cheeks were red, probably from the wine. Jerrik however could barely believe what the man was saying. He knew just how much the Captain hated the Lizards! He wasn't shy at all while describing them as savages and barbarians. Was he just mocking Greezul? Or actually letting him feel like he had an advantage so that he wouldn't dare anything too radical while on-board?
Jerrik kept a concern eye on the Captain, while keeping the other on the Lizard. Unfortunately the huge monster still walked around with just his loincloth and Jerrik found himself uncomfortable watching the almost nude creature eat. The way his scally chest went up and down as he breathed, those strong pecs and hard nipples...
"That is quite alright, Captain. I could hardly expect a human to ever get to the level of a Varhesh. After all, we're stronger and smarter than you. This little war of yours has showed me just how unmatched you are in the field of battle" the Lizard said as he finished his last bite.
The First Mate stood up at once, fed up with the weird dialogue. "That's it! You don't get to insult us, you dirty Lizard. It's an outrage!" "Sit down this instance, First Mate Jerrik!" the Captain's voice boomed. Against his wishes, he did as the Captain asked. "Now apologise to our guest. There is no need for rudeness." Jerrik's face could barely hold the disgust he was feeling. "I... I'm sorry for my attitude."
"And...?" Greezul demanded, clearly entertained.
Jerrik rolled his eyes. "And for calling you a Lizard" he concluded. Strangely enough he felt dirty by describing the Varhesh that way. "Well, then. Apologies accepted" Greezul answered with a sarcastic smile on his face. He then proceeded to put his large feet on the Captain's table and began using his claw as a toothpick to remove the food remains on his teeth. Jerrik was utterly speechless. He looked at Captain Verwin but only got an angry look of disapproval due to Jerrik's inconsiderate words.
"May I be excused, Captain?" Jerrik asked, not being able to see that creature use the Captain like that. "Sure, go on ahead" the Captain replied, with a tone of dissatisfaction.
Jerrik gladly left the cabin. That whole lunch was just too weird. What was the Captain thinking? He must have some plan in mind, right? So why hadn't he told him anything? They were supposed to completely trust each other as a crew!
He found Orwyn and Hakors talking in a corner, instead of cleaning the deck. Jerrik approached them and they almost jumped as they saw him. "Aren't you two supposed to be at work?" "Yes, sir. Sorry, sir. We... well..." Orwyn started to mumble. "Yes?" Jerrik asked, impatient. "What Orwyn means is that we're concerned about that... thing being loose up here. I already got my dose of angry lizard claws" Hakors said, lifting his shirt to reveal the bandaged cut on his belly.
"I don't know much about it myself. I suppose the Captain has some plan about our guest, we'll just have to trust him" Jerrik said, trying to sound as reassuring as possible.
"You had lunch with them. Did the Captain tell you anything? Are we to just jump at the monster and be done with him?" Hakors asked, hopeful about such possibility.
"I told you, I don't know. Look I'm not comfortable either. I was just as shocked as you when that... thing just came up here like that."
"I fear..." Orwyn muttered after a few seconds of silence "that it's all because of that amulet. It was weird, probably magical. Is he using it to control the Captain? Even the headaches, everything. Could he be doing this?"
The other two remained silent and contemplated the possibility as they looked over at the Captain's cabin door. Unsure of what to say, Jerrik told the crewmembers to carry on with their work.
By the end of the day, Jerrik's headache and overall tiredness seemed to have gone worse, no matter what he did. Greezul had walked freely on the ship and the crewmembers all avoided the big Lizard. Jerrik kept staring at the amulet. Could Orwyn be right? Could that amulet be to blame?
He kept staring at the amulet. It was just as he remembered, still occasionally glowing. But Jerrik saw his eyes drifting to the Lizard himself. He couldn't get past just how fascinating he looked. Even the way he walked, so confident and strong, casually swinging his long meaty tail. The First Mate started to lick his lips. His penis slowly became engorged the more he looked at that strong Lizard. His eyes darted to the loincloth, the only fabric he wore. Strange thoughts popped up on his mind. How big was he down there? He had never even seen what their penises looked like but he was curious.
After a while of his daydream, he finally caught himself. What the fuck had he been doing?! Fantasizing about a guy? A Lizard guy, no less! Jerrik shook his head, repulsed by the disgusting ideas. Still his dick was painfully erect, a reminder of Jerrik's sick thoughts. He walked away, out of sight from that beast.
Greezul smelled the air and looked over at where Jerrik had been but didn't find him there. He merely smiled a lustful grin.
A little later, Jerrik attempted to talk to the Captain but he easily dismissed him without caring. Jerrik sighed at the Captain's dismissive attitude and resumed his duties for the rest of the day.
At night, Jerrik had trouble concentrating. His head was killing him and so he skipped dinner and went right to bed. Again he was having strange dreams of naked men. Even in his sleep he tried to deny the images. He liked women, not men! And yet he could not reject the pleasure he was feeling. But then his dream shifted again. He saw one of them, the Varhesh. Tall, strong and masculine, just like Greezul. But then more and more showed up, all only wearing a loincloth. Still dreaming, but fully aroused, the Jerrik in the dream knelt and began removing the loincloth of the Varhesh closer to him but just as he was about to uncover the manhood of the creature, Jerrik woke up.
Again he barely remember anything about the dream, except that it was filled with Lizards... no, Varhesh. He was also covered in sweat. He couldn't wait to get ashore and finally put the strange events and dreams behind him. In some way he had a feeling the prince was responsible for it all.
Jerrik washed his face and got ready to start his day. However he noticed that his_skin_ felt itchy. He washed his body with a sponge but his skin was still itchy. "Fuck, I hope it's not fleas" he thought.
He spent most of the morning scratching himself. It felt itchy all around. Jerrik kept grunting out of annoyance. On some places it seemed his skin was getting rougher, probably because he'd been scratching there so much. The other crew members complained as well. Poor Orwyn and Hakors had trouble scratching the itch coming from their recent wounds.
"Sir!" Dreskoll said as he met with Jerrik. "The Captain asks you to meet him for lunch today." "Again? Fine, so be it. How are you, Dreskoll?"
"Itchy, sir. I don't know but it was sudden. Everyone's feeling like that. And... between you and me, the crew seems kinda horny."
"What?" Jerrik asked in surprise. "I know, it's weird. I'm feeling kinda horny too, sir. I can't help it. It's not that unusual to find a crewman jacking off but today I've seen at least five people. Not only that but I've seen some of them... close, if you know what I mean."
"Fuck, Dreskoll. I don't even know what to say to that. What about our guest? Has he complained about anything? Or have you seen him jacking off?" Jerrik asked, sarcastically adding that last part. However, Dreskoll stood silent for a few seconds, imagining that hunky creature stroking his member.
"Dreskoll? Did you hear me? Are you alright?"
"Oh, sorry, sir. The Captain repeated that prince Greezul is allowed anywhere on the ship. None of us has talked to him but I've not seen him do anything strange. He doesn't seem to feel itchy at all. You can meet him in the stern of the ship. I think he enjoys the sun on his scales." With that, Dreskoll and Jerrik resumed to their duties.
Dreskoll's words still rang a bell on Jerrik. He noticed Hakors scratching Orwyn's back. The younger male seemed to enjoy as the bigger one rubbed his itch. Thinking about how some crewmembers were acting "close", Jerrik wondered... "Were they..." he then shook his head. This was getting ridiculous. Jerrik felt determined to confront Greezul now and then. He must be the one doing this weird thing and without the Captain nearby he believed he would have an easier time dealing with the reptile anthro.
"Ah, Jerrik! Always nice to see you!" The prince said as the First Mate approached him. The Varhesh was clearly enjoying the sun, sitting on a wooden chair that seemed far too weak to hold his weight. He still wore only his amulet and loincloth. Jerrik spent more than a few moments contemplating the garment and wondering what was underneath it.
"Enjoying the view?" Greezul asked seductively. Jerrik turned bright red.
"I don't know what you're doing with us but you'd better stop it" Jerrik tried to sound menacing but it just seemed child's play next to much bigger male.
"Oh? You seem angry about something. Why don't you just sit on my lap and tell me what's bothering you?" he said with a confident grin stamped on his face.
A part of Jerrik's mind actually considered the request. It would feel good sitting on those muscled thighs, maybe even feel the Varhesh's package... "No, shit! I've got to focus!" Jerrik mentally berated himself. He darted his attention towards the amulet. That was it. It must be the thing that has been messing with everyone's heads. He had made the mistake of giving it back to Greezul but he could redeem himself. He would grab it and just throw it in the water. The Varhesh gave no sign of trying to have a serious conversation, he would not expect it.
Jerrik quickly jumped on the Varhesh. The prince was surprised and momentarily stunned as the human threw his body at him. The chair of course couldn't hold both their weight and human and Varhesh hit the wooden deck, the human staying on top. Seizing the opportunity, Jerrik's hand went for the amulet but Greezul's quick reflexes proved to be superior as his big hand caught the human's and in a fit of power threw the human over him.
The back of Jerrik's head hit the solid rail wood. He had lost his opportunity but he wouldn't give up. He had to do it, not for him but the entire crew of the Falcon Wing. As he got up he felt something grab his neck. It was a tail! Greezul's tail had wrapped Jerrik's neck, slowly suffocating him. He tried to use his hands to remove it, but it was just too strong. He even attempted to bite it but those scales were just too thick and resilient.
"Well, well. I'm surprised. There's some fight in you left. But trust me, it'll just be a whole lot easier to just give up" Greezul said with not a hint of pity in his tone.
"Prince Greezul! First Mate Jerrik! What is going on here?!" the Captain shouted. The entire crew was watching them.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" Greezul said with laughter. "Your First Mate here just wanted to see how tough we Varhesh really are. I'd say he learned his lesson" he then released Jerrik's neck.
The human collapsed on his knees right in front of the prince. "First Mate Jerrik is this true? I've never seen such insubordination!" "I..." Jerrik tried to speak but his throat hurt and he exploded in a fit of cough.
"Please, Captain Verwin. I think he's had enough. I believe he learned his lesson well. Let's forget about this with a big tasty lunch. Alright, Captain?" the Varhesh imposed.
"Fine, so be it. Still, First Mate Jerrik, I demand you apologise to our guest. Antagonizing our guests is utterly shameful! Be glad the prince is so understanding because next time I won't be" The Captain's eyes were fiery with anger.
"Prince Greezul, I... apologise for my behaviour. Please accept my apologies" Jerrik said after he stood up and then extended his hand. Not only those words hurt as they left his throat but they also hurt him inside. His plan had failed. The Captain was still a thrall for the prince.
"See, Captain? It's quite alright" Greezul said with a smile as he shook the human's much smaller hand. The Captain mumbled something and returned to his cabin. "Still" Greezul said now that they were alone again and the crewmates' attention had turned elsewhere "I don't need your apologies. I demand your submission" he added with the biggest grin Jerrik had seen. He felt utterly weak and vulnerable. His spirit was utterly crushed as the prince left his sight.
Jerrik was feeling down like he had never been before. He hid inside the ship, not wanting to be seen and binding his time before he had to deal with another of the Captain's lunch with the prince. Unfortunately Dreskoll found him.
"Are you alright, sir?"
"I've been better. And you and the others?" Jerrik massaged his neck, trying to forget the weight of his humiliation.
"Still itchy and feeling... kinda weird. Many still complain of headaches, dizziness, and some slight balance issues. Still most say the sun eases things" Dreskoll reported, understanding Jerrik's avoidance of the events of earlier that morning.
Despite trying to be left alone, Jerrik was glad Dreskoll found him. He was taller than Jerrik, with a layer of fat over his big muscles. Despite having a stronger build and being older than the First Mate, at 34 years old, Dreskoll had always been very easy to talk to. He respected the authority Jerrik had and not once questioned his orders.
"What does the medic say?" Jerrik asked.
"He's at a loss as well. He can't find any bug bites to justify the itch. He believes it may be stress."
"Ha! We've faced storms and battles for days. Coming back home is hardly a stress, especially with weather like this."
"Well, the weather is changing, though. We might face a storm soon..." Dreskoll added. "Well of course. I just jinxed it by saying it out loud" Jerrik thought.
"I could have used you against that beast early on" Jerrik attempted some humour to get rid of the elephant in the room.
"Sir, you only needed to ask! I would have helped as soon as..." Dreskoll spoke fast and without pauses.
"There's no need to justify yourself. I was the foolish one to take on him by myself. Besides, I was just joking. You know, when you knocked him out back on land."
"Oh... I just got lucky and caught him off guard, really..." he rubbed his neck. Dreskoll was a humble man, he cared little about boasting. "If you don't mind, sir, what were you trying to accomplish?"
Jerrik's face turned sour. "I think that whatever's been happening is because of the prince. Rather, the amulet he carries. The Captain's been weird ever since I gave it back to the Lizard" Jerrik unconsciously groaned as that word left his throat. "And all these «stress» issues started by that time."
"Why did you give the amulet to him?" Dreskoll asked, surprised.
"He was being a pest down there because it had been taken from him. The Captain told me to calm him down and said I could just give the amulet back to him if it accomplished anything. So I did... I never expected it to be some magical artefact!" Jerrik made a pause and then resumed: "Besides, we have no proof that thing's magical. The medic could be right: it's stress, or it's something from the food, who knows?"
"You really think that?" Dreskoll asked in disbelief. "No, I don't..." Jerrik admitted. "Though I wish I could. But all this itchiness, headaches... horniness as well..." Jerrik stopped as he got visual flashes of Greezul's muscular scaly frame.
"And the dreams, sir?"
"What about them?" Jerrik asked, failing to see any relevance.
"Some dream about them, sir. About the Lizards..." Dreskoll said softly, almost like a whisper. Jerrik suddenly felt uncomfortable again with the word «Lizards». It sounded wrong, almost disrespectful. "Besides" Dreskoll added "some think the Lizard is not that bad... you know, sorta like the Captain's attitude."
"Varhesh..." muttered Jerrik. "Sir...?" the other replied, confused. "They are called Varhesh. Lizard is offensive."
Dreskoll laughed a bit: "I never expect you to actually care about what we called them, sir!"
Jerrik shook his head. "Never mind that. Anyway it's about lunchtime. I'd best be going before I make the Captain mad again."
As he got up to meet the Captain a wave of dizziness overcame him. Luckily, Dreskoll caught his arm, preventing Jerrik from falling. "Fuck..." he muttered "thanks for that."
"No problem, sir. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. Just lost my footing there. Don't worry" Jerrik said, trying to save his pride as he carefully let go of Dreskoll's support and carried on. The itching hadn't stop as well. In fact it just seemed to get worse. Jerrik seized the moment now that he was out of view from Dreskoll and the rest of the crew to scratch the itchiness that had overcome most of his body. He nearly moaned in relief as his hand scratched his back. Amidst all the scratching, he hadn't noticed that his short fingernails had grown larger and sharper. Deciding to not waste any more time he walked up the stairs to meet the Captain for lunch.
"Ah, Jerrik. How nice for you to come!" Greezul happily exclaimed as the First Mate entered the Captain's cabin. Again, the Varhesh was sitting at the Captain's chair. The Captain himself was looking stern, still angry about the earlier situation. Jerrik had hoped to get a few moments alone with the Captain and explain his concerns about Greezul's amulet but that seemed impossible.
The lunch was again enjoyable, despite the established mood. Jerrik found his appetite bigger than usual and made sure to eat any bit he could. His teeth dug deep into the meat and easily ripped it from the bone. They had grown longer and sharper, still Jerrik didn't notice anything.
Greezul did most of the talking. He spoke about his people and occasionally said a phrase or other in his mother tongue, per the Captain's request. Despite his general distaste of the race, Jerrik heard the conversation with maximum attention. Even those hisses and booming words of the Varhesh people seemed intriguing and melodious to his ear. It was strange and foreign but yet he found it strangely familiar.
"Honestly I don't see how the humans hope to win against us. And your leader's cowardice! My father is there when the fighting occurs. He kills and feasts with his men, just like a true leader does" Greezul said at one point.
Again, Jerrik felt angry. How dared he? Especially when he was still their prisoner! He also felt frustrated that the Captain did not even counter-argue. Jerrik noticed that he seemed odd. He too seemed to be itchy as well, occasionally rubbing his skin. But Jerrik noticed that when he scratched his full beard or his short hair many of those hairs fell loose. And even the colour of his skin_was odd. It was blueish, especially in places when his _skin seemed thicker and leathery. How odd...
Jerrik's attention returned to the huge Varhesh as he began talking again. "Anyway" he said "the sun has done wonders. You see, we are still reptilians: our bodies can't hold the heat as efficiently as you. Even my scales feel better than before! Here, feel them" the prince suggested, more like an order, as he put his scaly arm in front of the Captain. He in turned touched the rough surface slowly and hesitantly at first but then he let his hands wonder through those tough crusted scales, feeling the big muscle underneath.
"Feels good, doesn't it?" Greezul asked in a soft tone. He however did not wait for the response. "Check the scales on my torso, then" he said as he removed the arm from the Captain's reach and put his own hands behind his head. The Captain was completely hypnotised by the prince's body. He caressed the softer and lighter-coloured scales on his chest. "You see, our scales are tough but our belly and chest are much softer, that's why we practically only use armour there, and the head as well. Anyway, how does it feel? Do you like it?" he asked again to the Captain.
"Yes... you're so strong" the Captain muttered as he massaged the pectoral muscles of the prince, completely ignoring the glowing amulet that sat between them. "That's it... it feels good, right? Touch me, feel the power of my muscles, let your instincts guide you" Captain Verwin didn't even form a word, he was just too focused on the simple pleasure of touching those scales.
Jerrik was feeling horny seeing the Captain seductively caressing Greezul. His initial disgust and astonishment had turned to lust, envying the Captain as he greedily explored the prince's scaly body.
Captain Verwin inhaled the scent coming from Greezul, so thick and manly. His nose began sensing smells it had never been able to sense before. A scent of pure manliness and domination oozed from the large Varhesh. He fondly inhaled that powerful aroma that seemed to complete him and fondly licked Greezul's right nipple with his increasingly longer and thicker tongue.
"Aren't you a horny little one?" Greezul said, escaping a low and soft moan. His attention the turned to Jerrik. "And you? Don't you wish to join us?" he cockily suggested.
Jerrik got up and walked up to the reptilian prince before his consciousness could tell what was happening. Greezul smirked as Jerrik got by his side. "Kneel" he commanded. Jerrik, too powerless to resist, did as he was ordered.
"Lick my feet" he commanded. Jerrik's mind was utterly fogged. He just knew he had to obey the larger male. He began licking the soles of his huge feet. "That's it. You're much better like this. Obeying and submitting, just like your Captain here. Isn't that right, Verwin?"
Captain Verwin moaned a "Yes, sir!" before resuming his position of licking the prince's nipples. Jerrik, on his end, felt like he was in heaven. He moved up and down those tough soles and then paying attention to those thick toes. He carefully avoided the sharp claws as he licked and sucked the four digits. The fifth one stood higher on the foot than the rest, a short but still clawed toe. As he began licking the other foot, he also started massaging the thick leg of the reptilian, his hands slowly trailing upwards. Greezul seemed to enjoy that as he moaned and licked his lips. The prince's manhood, still covered by the loincloth, was getting painfully erect.
Amidst all the pleasure he was feeling by serving the Varhesh, the Captain looked up to meet the prince's gaze. The human had an expression filled with lust. Greezul noted with pride that the Captain's eyes shifted to a lustrous yellow. That only made Greezul's erection grow even larger.
With his arm, he slowly pushed the Captain from him and with his leg he also pushed Jerrik off of him. Both humans suddenly felt empty.
"Let's continue this in the Captain's bedchamber" he commanded as he opened the door to the bedroom. Verwin followed him energetically, Jerrik was right behind. Greezul got to the side of the bed and the Captain followed him. The giant prince then put his hands on the Captain's back and started kissing him. It was not a love kiss. The contact between face and muzzle was messy and lustful. The Captain stood on his toes to better reach his lover's mouth and he too began exploring the prince's body with his hands. The tail of the Varhesh hugged the human, dragging him even closer.
Jerrik saw them making out and felt immediately envious. When Greezul broke off the kiss and lied on the bed, Verwin crawled next to him and they resumed kissing. Jerrik's eyes moved from the making out scene to the amulet. There was something about it that made him feel strange. He feared that amulet. He couldn't understand why, though. In fact, Jerrik could barely think at all but a voice inside his head kept telling him to steal it and run away.
"Oh, but we're forgetting our friend Jerrik! Come on, jump in. there's room for you as well!" Greezul maliciously grinned at Jerrik. The Captain was still lost in lust: licking, kissing and nibbling on Greezul's body. The prince noted the hesitation on Jerrik and that his eyes were fixated on the amulet.
"I see. You want this, don't you? How ironic. It's because of you that I got it back. Do you understand it? Because you gave me the amulet back you're now standing there, lustful... and changing. Doesn't it feel good? " he asked as he took off the amulet and used it as a pendulum. Left, right, left, right... and always glowing...
"But I'll give you this one chance. Choose: do you want the amulet" he said, stopping its movement "or this?" he asked and finally took off the simple loincloth that had had a difficult time hiding the nearly two feet long member.
Despite his mind being foggy, Jerrik understood what was in cause. He would give in to the spell or finally have a chance to end it. He looked at the amulet and the cock, deeply divided inside. It shouldn't be so difficult to choose but he was too deeply entranced to even question himself. The Captain's eyes lit up at the size of Greezul's manhood and in his lust he attempted to jump on the prince's huge tool, who softly told him "Not yet, let our good friend have a taste first." Jerrik was impressed at the Captain's desire. He really wanted that cock. He didn't even seem to notice the amulet. The First Mate had to admit that it looked desirable. It was so long and red, leaking precum from its tip. And those balls... they were cantaloupe-sized and with the same dark green colour. He imagined the things he wanted to do. He wanted to lick that cock and feel it in his mouth, pushing in and out while rewarding him with those warm fluids. How did it feel like? What would they taste like? Jerrik had to know.
With his eyes fixed on the target, Jerrik hastily jumped on the bed. Even Greezul was surprised. The impact of Jerrik hitting the bed made the prince drop the amulet, which fell on the bedside table. None of the three cared about it, though and it just stayed there, ignored by the three lusty males. Jerrik had finally started sucking that long and thick cock, trying to get as much as he could in his mouth. Verwin moved downwards, licking and massaging the prince's balls. Greezul himself was in bliss as his hand caressed and gently pushed the heads of the humans into his groin.
A few moments later, Verwin lifted his head. Something had been bugging him for a while. Greezul stared at him, not knowing what he intended to do. At the same time, Jerrik didn't stop slurping as much as he could from the prince, which his human face couldn't fit much. The Captain then moved a clawed hand to his rear and cut open his pants. He moaned in relief as a small blue nub sprang free, the beginning of a Varhesh tail. Greezul smirked in satisfaction and pushed the Captain towards himself and they shared another long and lustful kiss. "Yes," the prince thought "everything is going perfectly."
Jerrik woke up. He was in his own bed, feeling lightheaded. How long had he been sleeping? He couldn't tell but his headache was gone and his general tiredness as well. He felt as if he had slept a whole week. He felt a strange wave of fulfilment and bliss. On the back of his mind he knew something was wrong but the thought seemed almost foreign, he couldn't understand it. They were having an excellent voyage, sailing with a smooth weather. What could possibly be the problem? Maybe it was just a bad dream he'd had.
The First Mate washed his face. The mirror showed some sharp teeth hanging out of his mouth. Jerrik curiously touched them. They were sharp and long. They could easily cut and tear. Even his face seemed different. His face stretched out a bit and his nose was flatter, the nostrils bigger. He thought it weird but he just shrugged it off and got out.
The sun was setting. That meant that he had slept through most of the day. "Fuck!" he groaned in a deeper tone. The Captain would probably be furious. But then again, if the Captain was furious he would have woken him a long time ago, right?
Shrugging his shoulders, he walked up the stairs. On the way up he found two crewmembers holding hands and on the verge of kissing, until they saw Jerrik. They immediately broke off and greeted him, who merely chuckled and passed by.
Jerrik walked the deck. Some of the crew were cleaning it up. Like the others down below, they greeted the First Mate with respect. Jerrik noted that some of them also had developed sharper teeth and claws. Some of them had grown in height and muscle, even. Still that did not concern Jerrik. That just meant they were becoming tougher. Even he, himself seemed to be getting buffer and taller, though that last part could be in part due to the fact that he started walking on the balls of his feet. He could still walk with his foot firmly on the floor but somehow he just felt more comfortable walking that way.
Unfortunately that also meant that his clothes and boots felt awkwardly on his body. He could see that was an issue amongst the others as well. Small tears showed up on their clothes. Some were even attempting to adjust the pants over their butts.
Jerrik inhaled deeply. The air was indeed getting humid and the clouds were darkening the sky. "So much for the smooth voyage..." he muttered. He looked over the horizon. Still no land ahead but he did notice three islands on the starboard of the ship. Jerrik recognised them as the three small Snail islands. A sense of déjà vu came over him. Jerrik was lost in thought for a bit but ultimately shrugged it off and got inside. It was beginning to get cold.
It was dinner time and Jerrik was glad to be eating with the other crewmembers. The Captain and the prince would be eating together, as usual, but Jerrik was glad to spend some time with the rest of the crew. Sure, the salted food was leagues away from the fresher share of the Captain (same with the wine he was now drinking) but Jerrik enjoyed the companionship. Still, for some odd reason, there were a few piles of hair on the table. Luckily he was too hungry to complain but he did notice that some crew members seemed to be getting some bald spots on their head. Not only that but when he himself rubbed his hair more than a few hairs fell from his head.
Jerrik was thinking about such oddity when Dreskoll sat on his side. "It's good to see you, sir."
"Good to see you as well. Is everything alright with the crew and ship?" Jerrik asked, his attention now focused on the new arrival.
"Well, yes. The sea is getting a bit restless but I think we have some hours before the storm really hits us." Dreskoll then lowered his tone and made sure only the First Mate would hear him. "But I think something's wrong with the crew."
Jerrik swallowed a piece of bread and focused on what Dreskoll had to say. "Why do you say that?"
"Well, remember when I said people are starting to like the Liz... Varhesh? Well they all seem to respect him now, almost as if he were the Captain! And they all call him Prince Greezul. Ain't that weird? Before all this they all hated those monsters."
"I guess that's the point of getting past a prenotion, Dreskoll." Jerrik calmly answered. "He is our esteemed guest, after all."
The man seemed shocked. "Not you too, sir! Don't you remember? He is a prisoner! You even fought him earlier today!" Jerrik remained motionless, thinking on those words. "And look!" Dreskoll continued showing with hands. They were so large and clawed... even the skin on them was strange. Rougher and discoloured, even. It seemed a yellowish-brown. "My teeth as well" he added as he showed his larger teeth, that looked more like fangs. "I'm getting lapses, sir. One moment I think this is all normal, the next I realise how changed I am - WE are."
Jerrik seemed to be waking from a slumber. What Dreskoll said didn't make much sense but he felt that same wave of concern. Yes! Greezul, the amulet, the crew! How could he have forgotten it?! Jerrik got up and had Dreskoll follow him to a more secluded part of the ship.
"Gods... Dreskoll. You're right. Why would I even forget that?" He attempted to reconstruct the events of that day in his head but for some reason his mind was blank when he tried to recall the period after he had lunch with the Captain and Greezul until he woke up, although he felt again that same wave of bliss he had when he woke up. "Wh-what happened to me... after lunch?"
"I don't know, sir. You seemed strange. You were tucking in your clothes after you left the Captain's cabin. You barely spoke a word and what you said, well... sounded like the things those creatures speak..." None of that rang any rings for Jerrik. But then he suddenly got some flashes on his mind: of him, lying with Greezul and the Captain on a bed. His mouth full from the prince's thick... No. that couldn't be true, could it?
Shaking his head and attempting to refuse those memories, Jerrik spoke: "Gods... I can't believe this. He's messing with my mind. Our minds... and bodies. These hands, these teeth... we're becoming like them..." Dreskoll said nothing but sadly nodded.
"What of the Captain? Or Greezul? Have they said anything?"
"We haven't seen the Captain or the captive since, sir. They are still in the Captain's cabin, I believe"
The First Mate then wondered about the rest of the voyage. They shouldn't be too far by now. He tried to remember the last reference he had seen out there. "That's gotta be the Snail islands, we passed them by a while ago" Jerrik thought but at the same time he understood there was something terribly wrong with that fact. "Wait!" Jerrik said, his tone more serious and urgent as he finally realised something. "The Snail islands! We had already passed them and yet today we passed them again... in the opposite direction."
"What?!" Dreskoll shouted in disbelief.
"We're heading back" Jerrik concluded. Neither of them knew what to say after that. It was insane! How had no one had noticed that they were sailing in the wrong direction?
"You...you're right, sir. I mean, I knew we were sailing south today... but... I couldn't see anything wrong with that" Dreskoll admitted, feeling guilty.
Jerrik put his changing hand on Dreskoll's shoulder (it felt thicker and stronger under his touch) "It's not your fault. Greezul's been doing this. He's been playing us this whole time. Even the Captain." Again he was assaulted by flashes of earlier that day. He was kissing the Captain... except that he barely even looked human anymore. He had a large muzzle that was getting filled with scales. The same blue scales that were covering most of his body. Greezul watched entertained as Captain Verwin grew in size, over 7 feet. Jerrik's mouth then sucked his superior officer's changing manhood, meanwhile feeling the scent of those two stronger males overpowering him, dominating him completely and so he willingly surrendered himself to them.
"NO!" Jerrik mentally slapped himself. He denied those thoughts. They weren't real, they weren't a part of him. Greezul had had him completely under his spell, but now that was broken. "Dreskoll, call the crew. As many as you can. Leave the pilot and a few others, we mustn't raise suspicions. Don't tell them why, just tell them to meet me here."
"Shouldn't the Captain know about this?" the other asked, nervously.
"No. the Captain and the Varhesh are too close. We can't alarm one without the other. Besides..." Jerrik's mind drifted back to those forbidden memories and again he admonished himself, though his cock had partially become erect. "...the Captain may be too far lost, understand? We have no choice. We need to deal with this fast. This is a mutiny."
Dreskoll's face turned serious. He understood the consequences of what was going to happen. In his 34 years of life he had never even once thought of a move against the Captain of the royal fleet. But now... things had gone sour. And while Jerrik was younger than him, he had the knowledge and leadership to command. He would have to bet his hope on him.
Soon afterwards most of the crewmembers were gathered together. Jerrik analysed them. They were quiet, not sure of what was happening. Everyone had a least one Varhesh attribute. In the worst cases their skin had already begun changing into colourful scales, their hair had begun to fall and there some tails were already big enough to be noticed underneath their pants.
Jerrik began to talk. He was nervous but made sure to dismiss any uncertainty from his tone. He began to speak of their duty as humans to do the right thing for the kingdom and that Greezul was their prisoner and had to be delivered to the king. Unfortunately some protests were heard here and there, supporting the Varhesh.
"Friends, it is our duty. Can't you see? Greezul's been messing with our head. Why is he allowed to roam the ship unguarded? He is a prisoner! And just look at ourselves! We are changing by the minute. We're humans! We shouldn't be growing fangs, claws and scales!" The members of the crew inspected their bodies, as if finally realising the changes.
"So what? Claws rip open our enemies, teeth can easily tear off flesh from bone and scales protect us!" a voice was heard. Jerrik recognised, with some difficulty, that it was Hakors who spoke. The man seemed to be ahead of the curve. His _skin_was giving way for green scales with red stripes. Even his face was changed, forming a snout. At his side, smaller and slightly less changed was Orwyn, whose few scales were a dark red.
Some voices agreed with Hakors. Jerrik tried to persuade them: "We are humans! We are not Varhesh no matter what the prince's spell would have you believe. We just need to steal the amulet and the spell will be broken. Everything will be back to normal" he assured.
"Where's the Captain? Why are you telling all this and not him?" Someone asked.
"The Captain... unfortunately the Captain is too deep under Greezul's spell. I-I saw it myself. He's more Varhesh than human and I think his mind might be already lost..."
The voices went calm but then one member claimed: "You just want to overthrow the Captain!" "He's just jealous that he's not as strong as the Captain or the prince! Just look at him, he's small and pathetic!" "Not to mention young." "He just wants to usurp the Captain's place and kidnap the prince! Our prince!"
The voices got angrier and angrier. Some hisses and foreign words were being spoken as well and, worst of all, they were getting response in the same idiom, the language of the Varhesh. Jerrik didn't know what to say. The crew was more lost than he had believed. He tried to say something, anything but any word he said only rose the animosity. "I just..." but it was no use. The words "weakling" and "traitor" drowned his attempts to explain himself and the current situation. Dreskoll put himself between Jerrik and the advancing crewmembers but they were surrounded quickly. Jerrik was mentally preparing himself to fight the crew when something hard hit the back of his head and he fell unconscious on the floor.
Jerrik opened his eyes. His head rested against a pile of hay and wood. It took him a few seconds to recall what happened and finally realised where he was: in jail. He forced his body to a sitting position with some effort. He was sore all over for lying on the solid wood but his head was the worst of it. The back of his head hurt a bit but luckily it wasn't broken.
"Whoa there! Don't be making sudden moves!" a voice beside him said. It sounded like a genuine concern instead of an order. In the dark he could barely see him, despite being a few feet from him. "Dreskoll?" he asked with a dry throat.
"Yes, sir, it's me. Looks like things didn't go well, huh?"
"It's all my fault. I was the one who gave him the amulet back. Orwyn was right all along about that damned thing" he groaned and punched one of the metal bars. He thought about getting up but he didn't even bother.
"If there is someone guilty of anything that would be Greezul, sir."
A sudden force then made Jerrik fall again on the floor. "Ow... what the...?"
"It's the storm, sir. It hit us bad."
Jerrik sat again, holding on to the bars behind him. He proceeded to look around but in the dim light he found nothing useful or anybody. "Where are the guards?"
"Up there, I assume. All men must be in position to face the storm."
"Except us..." Jerrik added with sadness.
"I reckon that won't take much longer, sadly" Dreskoll sighed.
"Why would say that?" Jerrik asked, staring at Dreskoll, who despite the closeness was mostly a shadowy figure beside him.
"It's still happening. I can feel it happening. I'm changing" Dreskoll admitted and a weight seemed to press on Jerrik's chest as Dreskoll moved closer to the lantern.
Scales were beginning to grow on Dreskoll's body. They were a rich light brown, forming clusters from his clawed hands to his neck. Like a typical Varhesh, the front part of his torso had smoother scales. Even the skin on his forehead had begun to get more scaly-like and some of his hair had fallen, leaving some spots completely bald. And his size... he had to be 7 feet at least.
"I know, it looks bad. It sorta started after they knocked you out" he said, sitting in front of Jerrik. His clothes were pathetically small on him now. They probably were too tight on him but Dreskoll probably wore them just to keep something human. "I... I don't know much what happened but I remember jumping in, trying to defend you as you were down. But they were so many and with such sharp claws and teeth! I punched them and kicked them but they overpowered me. My only concern was to protect you. Then I felt something inside me, I don't know. I wanted to become strong and so I felt myself getting bigger, stronger. These scales began sprouting but I didn't care. I lost control of myself and attacked them."
"What happened then?"
"I don't remember much. But Greezul himself stepped in. at that point I was more beast than man. I couldn't think, I couldn't speak. I could just fight and so I did... and I lost. He, well... he... made me... submit in front of the whole crew" he looked away in embarrassment. "After that I pleaded mercy for you and I was thrown in here, with you."
"Gods, Dreskoll..."
"I don't regret anything I did if it meant I saved you" he proudly said. Jerrik then noticed a movement on Dreskoll's backside.
"You have a tail... you should take off those pants, they seem restrictive."
"Just leave it. I'm still a human and I'll wear human clothing" Dreskoll pompously remarked. "Besides, I'm not the only one."
"Wait, what?" Jerrik asked and then noticed. He too had a grown a proto-tail, though his was smaller than Dreskoll's. He then noticed that he was beginning to grow scales over his arms as well. However his were a fine plum tone.
"Oh, shit!" he exclaimed as he analysed the rest of his body. He too was beginning to form some bands of scales, over here and there. They were fewer in number and size than Dreskoll's but that hardly served as a relief. His torso had the smoothest scales, which were a light grey tone. As he scratched his head he pulled a clump of his own hair and so he immediately stopped it.
"Shit. I'm not that far off. Ow, ow, ow... my feet are killing me!" he grunted and then with some effort he removed the constricting boot. "Oh no..." he murmured as he saw his foot. It was completely changed, plum scales and all. As he put it on the floor he noticed that his ankle was higher now and didn't touch the floor, same with his big toe, which had become shorter than the others (but still clawed) and stood higher on his foot. He partially ripped the other boot and another Varhesh foot greeted him.
Dreskoll looked and let a small laugh out but still wouldn't remove his own boots (or what was left of them, since his claws had already ripped the front part of the boots. Jerrik had never met this proud and stubborn side of Dreskoll but since they were changing into big reptilians nothing could really surprise him anymore.
His face... even his human face was staring to stretch out. The shape of his skull was becoming different. Jerrik felt like giving up there and then, he wanted to scream and crush that damned ship with his own hands but he felt a pair of hands hold him: "You can't give up! Not after all we've been through!" Dreskoll asserted, apparently reading Jerrik's emotions. He regained some composure and looked at that different and yet familiar face, nodding. Still, the closeness flooded Jerrik's nose with Dreskoll's scent. He could almost taste it: his genuine concern and kindliness. A flood of sexual thoughts passed through him, of being dominated by the larger male, kissing and getting fucked by him. It didn't take long for his manhood to spring to attention. It stretched his clothes as it begged for release.
Dreskoll noticed it as well and worse, his own organ began swelling too. The larger male slowly moved back and let some room between them. Both men felt embarrassed for a moment until Jerrik broke the awkward silence: "And what about the crew?"
"They cheered Greezul when he stepped into the fight. They are mostly changed as well. But the Captain... fuck I didn't even recognise him anymore but I just knew it was him. He's completely changed. There's nothing human in him" Jerrik shuddered. "He's tall but not as much as prince Greezul. He can't speak our tongue anymore, only that language. Still, everyone knew he was the Captain and..."
"Dreskoll!" Jerrik shouted in panic, interrupting him. Dreskoll looked around, trying to see what was wrong but Jerrik's eyes were planted on him. "What is it?" he asked.
"Didn't you even notice? You were speaking like them... in their tongue" Jerrik responded in disbelief. "Wait, what? Oh, fuck... I didn't... I didn't even notice that" Dreskoll admitted in embarrassment. He stood up and walked back and forth, trying to clear his head, occasionally grabbing the bars for support. "How... how's your head?" he asked Jerrik a few moments later.
"Better" Jerrik replied. "My pride was damaged the most, though."
Both Jerrik and Dreskoll chuckled at that observation. "It actually seemed like when I knocked out Greezul" Dreskoll said.
"How did you even manage to do that?" Jerriks asked, for once trying to forget about the current predicament.
"I saw Orwyn and Hakors fighting him. They couldn't do much, though. Greezul kept defending himself and only counter-attacked. Hakors had attempted to strike him in the leg but his spear simply snapped. So, while nearly everyone was fighting, I grabbed a spade I found and snuck up to the prince and BAM! Hit him on the back of the head."
"Please tell me it wasn't you who did it this time" Jerrik teased, carefully touching the back of his head.
"Ha! No, not in a million years. Hakors did it, with a plank."
"That bastard. You know, he was in a nasty mood because you had stolen his «prey»"
"And now he kneels when he sees the «prey»" Dreskoll sighed.
Two large footsteps were suddenly heard coming in their direction. Both changing humans stood silent and watched as Greezul emerged from the shadows, raindrops falling off his nude body.
"Nice to see you both awake" he grinned. "I'm surprised to see you so... skinny."
"Let us go, you monster! Let the crew alone!" Dreskoll demanded, getting as near as Greezul as the bars permitted.
"Well, well. Look who's got his tongue back. I much preferred it when it was so eagerly licking my fucktool" Greezul mocked and Dreskoll was too embarrassed to reply. "How pathetic. Still wearing human clothing?" Greezul asked in his mother tongue.
Dreskoll immediately felt self-conscious. He began ripping his shirt but Jerrik immediately got up and stopped it. "Don't listen to whatever it is he's saying!" he said anxiously and pulled Dreskoll away from Greezul.
"Ah, Jerrik. It's ironic to see you locked in there."
"Shut up, Varhesh. You're not messing with my mind ever again!" Jerrik stood defiantly.
"Varhesh? Oh, it's nice to see you using the proper name of my people, soon yours as well. Calling us «Lizards» seems so disgusting, am I right?" Jerrik almost grunted when he heard that name. Only stupid humans called them that.
"What have you done to the crew?" Dreskoll asked from the back of the cage, minding every single word he said. He could feel his Varhesh vocabulary getting richer and predominant in his mind.
"They're up there, of course. Sailing through the storm guided by our esteemed Captain. Each of them has completed their transformation. Their bodies and minds are fully those of a Varhesh" Jerrik couldn't believe what he heard. All hope seemed lost. They were the last two humans aboard. No, they weren't even humans anymore: just bizarre creatures neither human nor Varhesh.
Greezul's arm slid between the bars and pushed Jerrik closer to him. "Just give up already. You have nothing left. The sooner you realise it, the better" Jerrik was intimidated by those yellow eyes, the superior male's scent nearly intoxicating him. The memories of him pleasing the Varhesh prince flooded his mind and his cock started getting erect.
"That's it... remember how good it was?" Greezul said softly. Each time the prince's amulet shone a new scene popped into Jerrik and Dreskoll's mind. Scenes not only involving them but the crew as well. In those visions the crewmembers shamelessly kissed and made love to their mates and both Jerrik and Dreskoll understood: the Varhesh fought together as a unit but there was one special partner whose bond was stronger.
Seeing both of them in trance, Greezul smirked and went back upstairs.
The images filled both prisoners with lust and their cocks got erect. Jerrik got a hold of himself and sat down, trying to hide his horniness from Dreskoll, who meanwhile moved farther from Jerrik to avoid the rising desire he had to kiss him there and then. However as he walked around the small prison, the ship was hit by a large wave and Dreskoll found himself falling down, getting on top of Jerrik, who was momentarily stunned with Dreskoll's weight.
Amidst their discomfort, they found each other's eyes and their gaze was set for a few moments before voraciously throwing themselves at each other's lips. Dreskoll could feel Jerrik's body growing underneath him, his chest becoming larger and those pecs gaining muscles. He wanted to see more of him and so he ripped open the shirt and noticed the small and smooth scales growing bigger, flooding his chest and belly in a grey field of scales. Dreskoll knew his mate was starting his last changes to become a full-fledged Varhesh and he couldn't feel more proud.
"You are coming along fine, my lover" Dreskoll said. Jerrik did not fully understood him, as he spoke in the language of the Varhesh. Still, deep down he could understand the message and that made him feel happy.
Dreskoll took off his mate's shirt and resumed kissing him, noticing that both his and Jerrik's muzzle had finally grown to their full extent.
Jerrik began scratching his lover's back, cutting the fabric of that constrictive shirt. Dreskoll moaned in pleasure and pain as the claws scratched his back but soon enough the thick light-brown scales began getting thicker and stronger and then he could only feel a slight touch from the claws.
The larger changing human roared as he discarded the torn shirt, making Jerrik drool at the sight of his male's heavier and more muscular form. The scales on his torso were a light yellow while the rest of them grew into a thick brown with yellow patterns. A brown and yellow tail emerged from his rear and grew thick and long. Dreskoll smiled at the male underneath him. He wanted him so bad but a last restrictive though hunted him. "No..." he muttered. "This wrong. Sir, sorry..." he apologised in a guttural voice. The human language was being wiped out from his memory, even the notion of his own self: he was divided, was he a human or a Varhesh?
Jerrik grabbed his arm as Dreskoll attempted to move away. "No, Dreskoll. Please. I need you." Jerrik begged in the language of the Varhesh. Dreskoll looked at his smaller mate's eyes and saw a genuine care and need for him. Dreskoll couldn't say no to him. He buried those intruding thoughts and resumed kissing his needy partner in a lustful manner.
Dreskoll let his tongue past the complete fangs of Jerrik, wrestling with his tongue. His huge hands held on to Jerrik's head and unbeknownst to him, as he moved them around his hair began falling off completely. The smooth skin underneath was already being covered in plum-coloured scales. The imprisoned First Mate willingly let the older man take the lead. He could accept those memories now, of that afternoon in the Captain's bed. He had felt so good being dominated by the prince and Captain. He was smaller, younger. It was his place to let the older and stronger males fuck him.
Dreskoll meanwhile finally tore off his confining boots. All that human clothing on him was getting on his nerves. He could barely understand why he was wearing that to begin with. He was a proud and big Varhesh, not a wimpy scrawny human.
His smaller companion was having a similar issue: his pants were constricting his waist, legs and growing tail. Dreskoll mercilessly ripped Jerrik's pants and then his own, enjoying the freedom and relief of being naked.
The formerly confined tail of Jerrik began growing, much to his pleasure. The tail began enveloping Dreskoll's body, pushing him closer. At the same time, the larger male finished his changes. His human eyes turned an amber gold and his irises became two black slits. There was no hair, no skin and no humanity left in Dreskoll: he was a Varhesh. In his mind he had always been a Varhesh.
Beneath Dreskoll, there was a changing human. He recognised him as Jerrik, his mate. But he looked wrong. His tail was puny, his scales were too small and... skin?Hair? Why would a Varhesh have any of those? Dreskoll watched with relief as Jerrik's eyes became like his own. And the way Jerrik looked at him... he was filled with lust and passion. Dreskoll could see it and he could smell it. Never before had anyone smelled as desirable as Jerrik and the other male knew it as well. He could smell the dominant scent of Dreskoll, those big muscles surrounding him, making him at his mercy. His legs finally ended their growth. He stood at 6'8 and while his muscles were small in comparison to Dreskoll's, they were larger and stronger than any human's.
Jerrik couldn't wait any longer, he needed to feel his mate inside him. He lifted his legs and exposed his hole. Dreskoll licked his lips in anticipation, his long red tool already dripping precum like crazy. Jerrik in the meanwhile began stroking his own cock, moaning when Dreskoll finally entered him. He screamed in blissful pleasure and his mate rewarded him by shoving more of that huge cock inside. Slowly at first, he slid his member in and out, each time burying it further and further in.
The last hairs on Jerrik fell down and soon enough his whole body was filled with that purple-plum hue, save for his grey chest and belly. His tail then finally grew to its maximum size. He wanted to hug Deskoll's chest with it but it was just too large.
At long last his scales thickened as well, serving as a natural armour that all Varhesh proudly displayed. When Dreskoll opened his eyes he saw a full member of his species, moaning and grunting as he played with himself while he fucked his hole. That disgusting scent of human was gone for good. He nearly came right there and then as he looked at that arousing male. Jerrik was his mate and he was his. The larger Varhesh's thrusts became quicker and more inconsistent as he neared his limit. Jerrik could feel it as well, quickening his own pace.
Their minds were too lost on their need to say or think anything at all and then they grunted and shouted as they finally came, Dreskoll's voice sounding louder and stronger than his smaller mate. Dreskoll detonated his load inside Jerrik and the smaller Varhesh blew it all over his chest. Before removing his softening member, Dreskoll passionately kissed Jerrik. "I love you, Jerrik" he said, his rough voice attempting to sound sweet. "_I love you too, Dreskoll"_Jerrik responded in their native Varhesh tongue as well.
When the afterglow passed they noticed their surroundings. Human clothing was scattered on the floor. They could sense the scent of two humans who used to be there (and not that long ago, it would seem) but strangely their smell then simply disappeared without a trace.
A puny metal door confined them both inside the cage but it only took a punch from Dreskoll to knock it down. They were both confused and felt as if they were utterly abandoned down there. Where were their companions?
But then they heard heavy footsteps coming down. Dreskoll protectively stood in front of Jerrik, preparing for trouble. However the outline and scent revealed a huge Varhesh, who approached them had to mind his head or else he would have hit the ceiling. But neither of them had any doubts about the identity of the newcomer as they saw the dark green scales. "_Prince Greezul!"_they shouted in unison and knelt. They didn't feel the least bit ashamed of their nude forms. The Prince himself walked around naked, showing his unmatched giant member between his legs.
"Rise, my brothers" he commanded. Behind him they suddenly saw another Varhesh. He was taller and more muscular than Dreskoll, but not as the prince. He had blue scales and his authority seemed second only to the prince himself. Both of them recognised him as Verwin, the Prince's mate. They bowed to him in respect.
"My liege, we found ourselves back here. We don't know what happened" Dreskoll reported. "It all seems so confusing" Jerrik added.
Prince Greezul gave a warming smile. His royal amulet shone and both Jerrik and Dreskoll felt a wave of relief. "Don't worry, my brothers. We were just under a vile storm and a human attack. They knocked you down and put a strange spell on the crew. It took you the longest to recover and so we put you here for safety. But all is well now. I also see that you've been having fun..." the Prince smirked as he saw the cum on Jerrik's chest, who proceeded to clean the sticky substance off himself.
Both of them felt ashamed. Caught by a human spell was shameful. "My lord, I..." Jerrik attempted to explain and apologise but the Prince only raised a dismissive hand. "It doesn't matter. We're almost home and right now we hold one of the human's biggest ships. It won't take long before we beat them for good!" Prince Greezul declared with a tone of hope and triumph in his voice that was felt by the others, who shared a triumphant roar.
They got to the upper deck, where the rest of the crew interrupted their chores to kneel before the Prince. They were all naked but they were all comfortable that way. It was strange that none of them carried armour, as that was always the Varhesh norm when on-duty but that idea was put aside. After all, the Prince himself was aboard. Nothing could go wrong.
"The storm hit us by but it was nothing much. Tomorrow we'll be home." Verwin said_. "As for tonight, come dine with us. We might get some fun together."_ He added with a sly smile.
"_Of course, sir. We would be delighted to"_Dreskoll responded with a parting bow. He could barely contain his excitement about a sex-filled night with the Prince himself and his mate.
The memories seemed to be putting themselves together in Jerrik and Dreskoll's mind. They two had been fighting humans on the high sea and had managed to steal that great warship, Falcon Wing. However the humans had tricked them with a spell. Jerrik and Dreskoll could still remember bits of that hex. It made them believe they were humans themselves. "What a disgusting spell" Jerrick thought. Luckily Prince Greezul's amulet protected the crew from that spell but the two of them had been deluded by the human magic the longest.
"Dreskoll! Jerrik! Nice to see you in one piece!" A Varhesh with green and red striped scales greeted. They recognised the big male as Hakors, who was around Dreskoll's height. The one at his side was his mate Orwyn, who walked around with his naked dark red scales. "I guess we're even now!" Hakors happily declared.
"How so?" Dreskoll asked, curious.
"Don't tell me you forgot already, you scaly rot! You stole that armoured human from us! Orwyn and I were about to beat the hell outta him and you just sneaked behind him and knocked him out!" Hakors recalled, still sounding bitter over that. "You stole my honour that day. But then you went crazy and wanted to imprison the Prince and the Captain! You and your mate here!"
"That's First Mate Jerrik, Hakors" Jerrik snarled. And while shorter and weaker, his authority was felt.
"Oh, um, sorry, sir!" Hakors awkwardly bowed. "But yeah, I stopped your crazy deluded minds before you actually harmed anyone so I say we're even." Jerrik rubbed the back of his sore head. Hakors had hit him bad but he was honestly glad that the crewmember had stopped them while they under the bizarre idea that they were humans.
Dreskoll shook his head in amusement. "So be it. But let's see how the score stands when the fight is over, then!"
Jerrik let them both argue and headed to the bow of the ship. All around him the crew was eager and ready for another fight. His mate soon found him and stood beside him. The stormy night had passed and a new day was dawning. He couldn't wait to get home and fight back those invading humans. He would teach them not to mess with his people.
