Zara 6

The last little section of this part of the story before the next part comes up. Also expect parts for that story to pop up in this folder.
Gods DAMMIT, his testosterone fueled desires were getting harder to ignore. All of this blushing, hair petting, back rubbing, fur tickling, deep eye contact and closeness was threatening to drive him nuts, and her story hadn't exactly helped very much. Pursing his lips slightly, he squeezed his thighs together to try and keep his emerging joy-stick from tenting his pants. When that didn't work, he crossed his legs as subtly as he could.
"'Zara?'" said Gwen, "'Is everything ok?'"
...Apparently not subtle enough...
"...Mmhm," Zara grunted with a nod.
"'Are you sure?'" she asked. Zara nodded again. Her eyes briefly darted to his hips. "'Oh, uh...do you need to use the restroom?'"
Yes! An out! Zara quickly nodded and took his arm off of her side. "'Okay then,'" Gwen went on, taking her arm off of his as they gingerly sat up, "'Well, good talk, Zara, It was nice to just lay there and...chat.'" Zara nodded silently, straightening out his sweater. "'So then, do you...still wanna chat afterwards? Because I wouldn't mind if you do. I don't have anything I need to get done today.'" He pondered the offer. It was certainly tempting, but he wasn't sure if he was okay with letting himself get all worked up in front of her again. It was just...creepy.
...Right?
Regardless, he politely shook his head. "No thanks. That's ok."
"'Oh...'" said Gwen, unable to hide her disappointment, "'Ok then. I...guess I'll see ya in class then, huh?'" Zara nodded again, using his foot paw to feel for his bag. Once he found it, he reached down and pulled it up. He stood up as he carefully slung it over his shoulders, not wanting to accidently slug anything with it.
He took a step forward to leave but stopped himself. Realizing that he needed to thank her, he turned around and bowed to her. "Th-thanks for the help. I'll see you in class." Gwen returned his bow with a soft smile, wiggling her fingers at him in a small wave. At that, he turned back around and started for the door.
"'O-oh wait, hold on,'" said Gwen suddenly, causing him to stop and glance back at her. She stood up from the bed and slowly approached him with her hands clasped behind her back. "'Do you mind if I ask you something?'" Not really thinking, he nodded in response. Gwen's hand reached over to the long leaf trailing from her head and trailed along it as she went on. "'Well...my roommate won't be here tonight, and the air conditioner's gonna be making the room pretty cold...so...'" As a blush rose to her face, so too did Zara's. He could see where this was going. "'Do you think that maybe...you could spend the night here...just this once?'" Zara's heart was racing at this point. Him? With her? In bed?! Together?! Alone?! Up close and personal?! At night?! "'Um...Zara?'"
He opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out. He felt the need to think, but his brain had gone kapoot. Zara.exe had stopped working.
"...Ok," he muttered unintelligibly, not even fully aware of what he had said until Gwen's lips curled into a happy smile.
"'Really?'" she said gleefully, "'Are you sure? Because you don't have to.'"
Gods dammit, he thought to himself. Now he had gone and gotten her hopes up. _What now? If I back out, she might get upset again... _ Why had he said yes in the first place?
"'Zara?'" said Gwen, snapping him out of his thoughts, "'So does this mean you'll come over tonight?'"
"Uh...mmhm," Zara answered with a nod. GODS! THERE he went AGAIN!
"'Great,'" said Gwen with a happy smile, "'Thanks a lot, Zara. I'll see you tonight then.'" Baffled at his own actions, he merely bowed to her in response and made his way out of the room, stubbing his toe on the doorframe as he left. After closing the door behind him, he walked down the hall and sat himself down on the nearest bench.
I...really just did that, he thought to himself, I really just agreed to spending the night at Gwen's to cuddle with her in bed... He wasn't sure whether to be worried about the implications of what that meant, or about being creepy in general. He had already agreed to it though, so he couldn't back out now. He just didn't have it in himself to do that. Not to Gwen, anyway.
Gwen... She was really nice to me... She...didn't even mind how quiet I was... He began to think back to the events leading up to all of this. And as he recalled everything, he couldn't help but feel somewhat guilty. He had made her go through so much...all in the span of a day. She hadn't even been obligated to do all of the stuff she had done, yet she did them without any sort of hesitation. He paused, catching himself smiling. He reached up with a paw and massaged his cheeks, trying to get himself to stop smiling. No. Why was he smiling? That wasn't a thought to smile about. What the heck?
He shook his head; his body was weird. It made him do weird things, such as cry for little to no reason.
Pushing the thought aside, he stood up and made for the exit, realizing that he legitimately did need to use the restroom.
