"The Gift", Daniel's Chapter 6.4
We have reached an ending for Daniel's storyline as of this, the 4th post of Chapter 6. There will be an epilogue serving as the fifth post, and then the story will have concluded for this protagonist.
This is an example of a bad ending, as was warned when Kon was paired with Daniel. Truth be told, this storyline lasted a LOT longer than I'd expected; the vast majority of bad endings for Daniel were scheduled between Chapters 2 and 4. Even so, out of the Yokai's many ending options, the vast majority ended up in a situation similar to this. Fortunately, since Kon's part ALMOST done, he'll be able to return post-storyline... right now he's sequestered away and still under an NDA since he is playing a major role in these final posts and I wouldn't want him to spoil anything.
No vote on this post because, well, the story is essentially over! Thanks for reading, and please feel free to leave comments!

Daniel's Storyline, Chapter 6.4

Although I couldn't help but stare at the train-wreck developing in front of me, somehow, somewhere an old, gravely voice managed to force its way into my frozen brain. "Hey... kid..."
I turned to look at who spoke, and saw a pair of glowing Blue eyes looking out at me from a dark alleyway. By the time I looked back, Herne and Kon had already started their deadly dance. My options were limited, but I slipped away into the alley after the newcomer; if I wasn't around then Kon couldn't threaten to use me against Herne.
The figure retreated further into the blackness, a single digit on his white-furred paw gesturing me to follow. "Further in... everything'll go wrong if he finds you."
I didn't know who I was following, but I realized he had the right idea. With any luck, I reasoned, Herne would be able to chase Kon off and then come find me once the coast was clear. Still, I couldn't help but worry-- what if it was the Fox who won. I slowed, speaking quietly toward my guide. "I'm worried about my friends..."
The shadowy figure looked back at me, his Blue eyes providing their own light in the darkness. "Don't worry, Daniel... everything'll be alright."
The fact that the stranger knew my name made me stop immediately. "You know who I am?"
Also halting, the Blue eyes blinked. "Sure... I don't have enough energy to bother interfering with EVERY case of Human abuse."
That was an interesting way to put what was going on in the street. "Human abuse?"
His eyes bobbed in a way that gave me the impression that he was nodding. "Sure. Spirits fighting over a Human, making him choose over them? That's abuse, pure and simple. Humans barely even know Spirits exist; you shouldn't have a decision like that forced on you. I'm sorry they put you through that."
I shrugged, letting out a long sigh; FINALLY someone who understood! "Well... I mean... what else could I have done? I mean, they all wanted to be with me."
The figured nodded again. "Ah yes... must be nice to be wanted, isn't it?"
My cheeks burned from a blush. "Yeah... not something I'm used to."
My guide took in a deep breath and mimicked my sigh. "Yeah... I can't imagine they're used to it either, huh? You've seen a handful of Spirits in less than a month and they've seen... what... two Seers?"
That number made me pause. "Two? Why would you say two?"
I heard the ruffling of fur and got the impression he was shrugging. "You, and that guy in the park."
Whoever the mystery Spirit was, he had apparently been watching me. That made me a little worried until I remembered the one other Spirit I knew-- one with Blue eyes. "Are-- are you that Dog from the bus?"
A soft, blue light appeared about stomach-high and the disembodied glow illuminated the nearby alley. "No, Daniel-kun... I'm not the Dog."
My voice was caught in my throat when I finally saw my savior; it was Kon... in a sense. The Fox was unmistakably the same Yokai who was fighting Herne in the street behind me, but he looked older-- a LOT older. If he were a Human I would have guessed he was in his early 60s, but in a way that time had been kind to him. He was thinner-- leaner than the Kon I knew, and his white chin fur was gray and almost beard-like.
The older Kon had a slight lilt to his ears and, unlike his younger self who was fighting Herne, the Kon before me only had one tail. My follow-up question was pretty straight forward. "What. the. fuck?"
He offered a smile in response, and held out the paw that wasn't cradling the pale blue ball of light. "I have so much I wish to explain to you, but it must wait, Daniel-kun... the fight will not last forever, and I must get you somewhere safe before he comes after us."
Slowly reaching out to put my hand into his palm I glanced over my shoulder. "You seem pretty confident that he-- that YOU are going to win... are you so sure Herne won't?"
His fingers felt cold to the touch as they closed around my hand. "Oh... I KNOW Herne will win... who do you think I'm trying to get you away from?"
I felt my heart skip a beat at the almost insidious tone and, when I looked back to the Fox, I was frozen in place by the baleful Red glow of his orbs, burning like crimson coals. Strangely, the blue ball of light in his paw continued to grow brighter, completely surrounding us. I couldn't fight him-- all I could manage was a feeble "No! Let go!"
A predatory grin spread across his muzzle. "You're not in control anymore, little boy."
His vice-like grip tightened even more and I gasped as he closed the distance, pressing his nose to mine-- so close I didn't just smell his rotting breath; I could taste it. His free paw rose up and the back of it stroked my cheek; I could feel his gaunt bones through his worn flesh and thinned fur... it felt as though it left a thin trail of slime in its passing. Unable to muster up enough will to tell him off, I relied on begging. "Please, Kon... please... let me go."
Raising his eyebrows and ears, the Yokai actually stepped back. "Let you go?"
I nodded eagerly, eyes focused on his ancient-looking paw that was still latched onto my wrist; I could have sworn I saw blood from where his little black claws had pierced my skin. "Yes... please.... let go of me."
His eerie smile spread far beyond the reach of his muzzle like he was the Cheshire Cat out of Alice in Wonderland. "Okay."
The moment his paw released me I watched his inky black shadow spread out beneath me and then, as if I were in some kind of cartoon, it became a hole and I disappeared.
I don't know how much later it was when I woke up but I was still surrounded in blackness. It wasn't just a lack of light-- it was physical. It was laying across me like a shroud. I could also tell I was laying on something soft... a mattress maybe? Trying to move, it didn't take long for me to tell that my hands were tied at the wrist above my head against something really secure. Only when I wriggled did I realize that I was laying on my side and something furry was pressed against my back. Oh... and I was naked.
A furred arm wrapped around my side and cold, hard claw dragged across my chest as it rose up to make a lazy circle around one of my nipples. Kon's unmistakable voice whispered in my ear "Comfy?"
I squirmed again. "Kon? What did you do? Where are we?"
He chuckled, licking the back of my ear as he pressed more of his body to me from behind; I could feel the unmistakable bulge of something wedged between my butt cheeks and he began grinding it against me. "Oh? Can't recognize your own bedroom, hmm?"
Still struggling, I tried to free myself from his grasp but it was useless. "I can't see anything... let me go. Now!"
His sigh was hot against my skin, but what was hotter was the sudden stab of pain as he bit my ear. I cried out in pain and he spoke condescendingly to me, gripping the flesh around my nipple with three claws. "You don't give orders anymore, Danny."
I squirmed again, crying out. "Stop!"
His soft growl sounded almost like a mix between something predatory and something... sexy. "Oh... I've only just begun."
Neither Herne nor Talapus had hurt me in anything they had done, but Kon did. He took me there, on the bed-- he raped me... at first. I lost track of how long he spent with me, continuing to do anything and everything he wanted with me and, exactly as Talapus had said, he couldn't cum until I did. But Kon knew what he was doing and the longer he spent with me the less I begged him to stop and the more I begged him to keep going.
By the time he was done I wanted everything he did to me... and he did it all.
