To the people of Alzarin,

As you all know on the last month of December of last year a star from the heavens has landed within our territory. This star does indeed carry a curse as you all have heard or seen. And, as king of Alzarin, it is my duty to protect and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the kingdom of Alzarin. Henceforth, I am passing laws and acts in regards to countering the curse and preventing its spread to the populace.

  • The Cursed Fortress Act

Seeing the actions of the cursed doll soldiers still performing their duty to protect the people from the star and from themselves, I hereby decree an act of support to flourish their self-righteous deeds. All merchants or humble commonwealth that grant resources to building and maintaining the fortress around the star and the people guarding it will thus be granted a boon of reduced taxes and tithes to the Church and to any landlords you may be under.

  • Law of Questioning

The following symptoms have been associated with the curse.

  • Complete lack of pain

  • A feeling of softer skin, comparable to strings

  • Open wounds displaying cotton instead of flesh and blood

  • Swelling of body parts though no signs of distress

  • Partial transmutation of patches of skin into string or fabrics

Should you suspect that one of your neighbors, or yourself, to be affected by the curse, submit a letter and we shall send a knight to take them into custody for inspection.

  • Law of Salvation

Should we discover a person to be a holder to the curse, we must execute them on the spot and burn their bodies to ash. This is considered an act of saving a person from eternal damnation by the church of our Lord. Blessings from the church will be given to the cursed in hopes of forgiving their souls for their unintentional or intentional disgrace against God’s chosen image of the human form.

For those concerned about the Kirshols, the first to be affected by the curse, we have decided to cast them into exile with tools and provisions. Your king’s judgment believes they should not be punished for a transgression against God, however, we cannot ignore the fact that perhaps the landing location of the star may be a sign of the Lord’s work. Meet at the town square as they will be made an example of. Look at the cursed family Kirshol and remember well. Do not think you will share the same fate as them. They have become an image that is against the Lord and will be cast from the kingdom just as the first man and woman was cast from Eden for their sins. Do not follow their path, lest should you be damned.
