Redux A Noble Regressor 4

Another trip to the city. Will this one be uneventful?

“Ah, so this is what the Young Master does in his free time."
It was a bit late in the morning, and Jun's retinue were already starting to pack things up. There wasn't much to the food they ate, given they were travel rations, but Fu Si proved that they could be made more than palatable if effort was put into cooking them. Jun's Milf had taken his permission with a desperate seal that saw her waking up before anyone else to set fire to pots and water to stews.
During the last two days, she had, admittedly, made these trips less of a bother.
And then there was Xia Ni.
She was every bit as eager to continue their bouts of whole-day breeding as she had been at the beginning. And while having sex with her allowed Jun to do precisely that, too many things slipped through his hands while that happened. Not least of these was time.
He'd only just begun a count of the money in his chest, along with the receipts of the expenses he had paid recently out of hand. He honestly should have done this on the return trip the first time around but now was better than never.
Even then, he was still fucking her every day. Just not enough to eat up whole days. Jun personally thought this was more than just enough, but he supposed it should have occurred to him that his concubine was getting bored.
Right at that moment, Jun was going over the same moves, the same paces, and the same exercises that the spear demanded for basic competence. It just so happened that it was the best way to drain off the excess energy that sex with her gave him.
The upper part of his tunic hung from his waist, leaving his torso bare. He had opted to take off his undershirt too, as it was turning out to be a hot morning that day, and sweat was already roiling down his deltoids and down his triceps. Through his back and glistening his chest.
Soaking his long hair, and going down his stomach into his crotch.
“Eyes are up here," Jun drily told Xia.
“Boo," the big eyes of the pretty girl did as he bid her as she sighed.
“Do you need something?" Jun asked.
“I don't know," she said, “Just didn't want to stay cooped up inside the carriage, I guess."
“So you came seeking me out?" Jun inquired.
“Was I not supposed to, Young Master?" she pouted, “Fu is nice, I suppose, but she is super boring when she isn't fucking. Captain Lou is only funny when he isn't talking to you and the rest of your guards are sooo uninteresting!"
“So I am the least boring thing here?" Jun raised an eyebrow.
“I mean, I wouldn't say that…" Xia looked down at the ground.
Polygamy wasn't uncommon among men who could afford it and was almost expected in the Nobility. One main wife to make a house and a bunch of side women to show off how powerful a man was. Truth was, past a certain number, a man just couldn't pay attention to all the women he had. And if he was powerful enough, they wouldn't even have to do anything around the house.
So what were they to do? How did they entertain themselves?
Despite having lived through a whole life in this world, that was something Jun had never found out.
And, perhaps, Xia didn't either.
Fu now had things to do but, outside of fucking and talking to them, Xia didn't. Once they got to his mansion, Jun could get them what traditional entertainment and crap Noble concubines usually enjoyed, but they were all new at this. Even if Xia's value to Jun didn't lie in her companionship, but her peculiar bodily condition, he supposed she too could feel…ah.
Neglected.
“You don't think I am paying enough attention to you," Jun impaled his spear into the ground and left it there as he advanced on the young woman.
“What?" Xia looked shocked, “W-why would you assume that? Me, impose on the young lord?"
Jun looked her in the eye and pointing at the ground in front of him.
“On your knees."
Xia all but jumped to obey him, scrambling until her knees were making her tunic part the grass and her hands were sinking into the hem of the tunic hanging from his waist.
“I suppose I should punish you for your presumption," Jun brushed the hair from his girl's cute face as she lowered his tunic enough for his dick to plop out.
“O-of course," Nia swallowed as she breathed in the musk mixed with sweat that she uncovered, “Can't let a woman get presumptuous. I should know better."
Xia sniffed Jun's crotch and shuttered.
Jun grabbed her by the hair and tilted her head up, letting him see her lust-glazed eyes as he pushed his cock against her lips.
Xia gleefully slurped his dick inside her mouth as Jin harshly pulled her by the hair.
And slammed her face into his crotch.
Jun wasn't someone inherently given into violent sex. Many things could be enjoyed, of course, if you just but had the right preparation, but causing damage wasn't something that he found too hot. As it was? It was hard to avoid the abrasion, wounds and injuries that he inflicted on Fu through his week of almost constant sex with her. Friction would, at some point, start tearing skin even if you were at your gentlest, after all.
But that just didn't happen to Xia.
A whole week of being constantly penetrated, groped, slapped and even bitten didn't leave marks or bruises that didn't immediately clear up after some rest. So Jun didn't have to be as careful with her as he did with a normal girl. And, because he didn't, he was fine with finding the limits of Xia's body, such as they were.
“HMMM!" Xia moaned as he pushed her out of his mouth. Only to slam her into his cock again.
So far? He'd yet to find a limit.
“Mhhore!" she mumbled the next time he pulled out of her mouth, her hands grabbing Jun's hips as he stopped short of leaving her lips, only to thrust his hips forward this time just as he pulled her in for another slam.
Normally, Jun would have been content with that and stopped “exploring". But Xia? Xia wasn't happy with leaving things as they were. And if she was feeling neglected? Well-
“Are you not entertained?" Jun chuckled as the slapping sound her face made with his lower stomach resounded.
With any other woman, he'd have already started splitting their lips or broken their nose. But whatever benefit Jun got from fucking her was evidently not a one-way transaction; As tireless and as durable as fucking her made him, the same thing seemed to be happening to her.
Extreme Body of Yin. No wonder it was considered a treasure for Cultivation.
Despite not even touching her pussy, Xia seemed closer and closer to an orgasm the faster and rougher Jun got. Xia started slamming her face into him, as he entangled her hair in his fingers and rammed his cock more and more into-
“Young Master!" Lou Tang, the captain of his bodyguard, chose that exact moment to walk into this clearing, “The men have all packed and are ready to leave at your….word…."
Both Jun and Xia stopped as their eyes slowly moved towards the man. The man who almost dropped his spear as he realized what he had just barged into.
They stared at each other for a second, the situation so far out of handle that, for a moment, none of them knows what to do.
Luckily, Jun recovers first.
“Did you see anything captain?" he asked as he slowly pulled his cock out of Xia.
“What?" Lou dumbly asked. Of all the stupid-
“Did you-" Jun carefully enunciated, “See anything?"
Usually, it would take his guards significantly more time to get ready and get riding again. Unfortunately, this man was evidently GOOD at being the captain of a squad of men, because this was sooner then Jun expected. More unfortunately, he was a dumb bastard.
But even cluelessness had limits, surely.
Surely.
Lou Tang gasped as if divine inspiration had struck him.
“This Lou Tang obviously saw absolutely nothing just now!" he all but shouted as he turned around.
“Good," Jun grunted. God, the blue balls he was going to get from this-
“I definitely didn't see you try to cave your concubine's skull in with your crotch, Young Lord!" the man blurted out.
“...good." was all that Jun could finally say.
“By your leave!" the man finally stalked off and Jun had to, once again, measure the merits of getting rid of his Guard Captain in a more permanent basis.
“What an absolute moron," Xia angrily muttered as she cleaned her chin,
“This Xia will go and get ready," she sighed as she made to get up.
But Jun wasn't letting her.
“Where do you think you are going?" he growled, “Does it look like I am done?"
Xia's mouth turned into an “o" as a rosy flush came back to her cheeks.
Like hell, he was going to suffer through blue balls.
—----
They got to town just after midday, that day.
Lou masqued the awkwardness between them with excessive amounts of politeness. Which, given how hard he tried under normal circumstances, made him border on parody.
“This most grateful and fortunate Guard Captain has an announcement for the most merciful, and virile-err-manly Young Master," Lou announced just outside his carriage.
There had been a long line heading in and out of the city, but they had all parted for them. Jun was actually surprised, as he was sure that he would have needed to at least stop to prove who he was to the City Guards. But packed as the streets into the city might be, they were already making way for them.
“Yes, Guard Captain?" Jun simply asked.
“This Lou Tang sent a rider ahead to reserve a spot at the Auction," he said and, out of curiosity, Jun opened the roof top of his carriage and stuck his head out.
Indeed, there were three guards missing from his retinue.
But not the ones that were happy to have Lou be the Guard Captain.
“This Young Masters notices that two others are missing," he casually said.
“Ah, yes," Lou Tang nodded, “Two of the worst, that is to say 'least good', men suggested going ahead to also reserve rooms at a suitable Inn. This Guard Captain thought the measure prudent and allowed them to gain face by doing so."
Jun hummed.
So, there was no way anyone outside of his new Guard Captain would think that he'd want to stay. Not after his rush to come in and then leave on the same day last time. Although…perhaps they thought the inclusion of his concubines changed things?
They could not know that being back in this city where she could see her ex-husband again made Fu uncomfortable. Nor that Xia honestly didn't care.
But that would have been, as the Guard Captain said, thoughtful of them and Jun knew precisely what sort of people filled his retinue. So what was most likely? That some of his previously shitty guards were taking the initiative to actually do things?
Or that they were trying to play stupid games and force him to stay the night by offering him the possibility to lose face by not making good on a reservation made in his name?
Despite how stupid needlessly antagonizing him that way sounded it was the sort of plan one of his men would have.
Hm.
“Good Job, Guard Captain Lou," Jun said.
“Of course, wise yet soothingly resolute Young Master," Lou Tang beamed.
“But next time, check with me about lodging arrangements," Jun told him.
“So shall it be!" Lou actually shouted.
They made the trip to the Auction house in half the time that they did the first time they were here. Apparently, arranging the parking took more time than navigating traffic. The guard sent ahead to get a reservation to the Auction quickly led them to its main entrance, with clerks and attendants already gathering outside it for Jun's arrival.
Curiously, the two other riders were also already there.
“Come in, Young Master, come in!" the same representative that had hosted him last time beaconed as Jun got off his carriage. Xia and Fu looked at him askance, but he gestured them towards their seats. Walking around with two beauties would fit his image, but that would also have required him to show them off but, hm, there wasn't really anyone that he needed to impress, so he wouldn't.
“We have prepared a room with chilled wine and suitable companionship for you, my lord," the man said.
“This Young Master would have a list of the Auction items," Jun didn't miss a beat as he started walking.
“Right to business, then? As expected of the Yan family!" the man laughed and walked ahead, gesturing hurriedly at his staff who all walked ahead in the best pantomime of a power walk that Jun had seen in a while, “Please, allow me but a second to procure it."
That left him alone with his guards.
“Captain Lou," Jun casually said, “Where will we be passing the night?"
“Right, yes, Xin? Ten?" Lou Tang asked the men he had sent.
“Um," Xin pursed his lips as if he hadn't expected to get asked this question, “We, um, did not manage to find one."
“...Then why are you here?" Lou tilted his head, “Explain yourselves."
“Only a few Inns are suitable for our lord," Ten rushed to do just that, “And they've all told us the same thing: We cannot house a single guest more."
“They DARE?" Lou Tang growled, “A member of the Yan family inquires, and they think it's a request?"
That was, indeed unbelievable. But for different reasons.
Well then.
“It's fine, Guard Captain Lou," Jun assured him, “I did not, in truth, want to stay anyway."
“Would that these disloyal dogs knew how truly lucky they are that our Lord is so noble-" Lou Tang breathed out.
“Thank you, Captain." Jun said.
“-and not as obsessed with Face as the rest of the family." Lou finished.
“...that'll do, Captain." Jun sighed.
For once, Jun found precisely what he was looking for.
“These trinkets seem entertaining," he gestured at a couple of Talismans of Elemental Fire in the list.
“Ah, yes, newly licensed work from our city craftsmen," the representative agreed, “They will surely be honored beyond reckoning to know that their work was found pleasing by your august self."
Talismans, and not just the superstitious ones, were something that carefully trained engravers could do. Be it through bone, Jade, or paper. Through bamboo, copper, or bronze. Through, perhaps, more mediums that weren't even convenient, there were certain words that could be made to affect the world in the same way that the idea they represented did.
With Chi in writing, and an effect in meaning, the cause of supernatural phenomena could be inscribed on a talisman to be used at a moment's notice. At the discretion of it's maker.
Or anyone who wielded it.
The truly potent stuff was relegated to those who could “truly appreciate them". Cultivators, in other words. But even down where mortals crawled, there people who learned enough of Chi and the art to make triffles that no Cultivator would even look at it.
But that normal people would find nearly priceless; Cultivator-like abilities in the palm of the hand!
The only problem was that they were single use items. They were destroyed upon being used and so made it impossible to rely on them. Assuming, of course, that their effect, however magical, was of actual use.
A lot of Talismans were, indeed, just for show.
But Xinrui's work wasn't like that.
He would become famous enough during Jun's lifetime for his work to reach prices that Jun's father would balk at. Things that even Cultivators would not sneer at. But everyone began somewhere and, in the Peerless Pearl City, is where he would start a very illustrious career, with his initial work not costing anything above any other Talisman maker.
But already showing the signs of his future work.
Honestly, it was a rather a niche purchase, but Jun even if they weren't immediately useful, they were still a steal at this price.
After that, he looked for two more items that he knew were going to make waves, but it appeared he used up all his luck with his first purchase.
“Forgive me, Young Lord, but the cursed Sword of Xun was purchased a few days ago," the representative bowed in submission, “Perhaps one of the other cursed swords in our keep might yet quench your curiosity?"
Jun didn't, of course; Unlike the vast majority of so-called “cursed" items in the auction house, this one actually was.
It was the weapon of an ancient but dead Cultivator, which was a very important distinction. Despite that, or maybe because of that, some of its master's feelings supposedly still resided inside. In Jun's time, greed for the weapon led to it switching hands a couple of times, making each of its new masters as strong as vastly greater men, before it landed in the hands of a Cultivator and finally found a permanent owner.
“What about the Xithian Axe?" Jun pointed at an item he was initially relieved enough to find in the list. Yet again, it appears he was too late.
“Forgive me, my lord, for this List is hours out of date," the man all but kowtowed this time, “The Xithian Axe was bought by a Xithian man but a scant few hours ago."
“Do you wish for us to send word to our Guards, that they may seek him out and bring him to your merciful hands?" the representative inquired, “Surely they would be ecstatic to part with one of their barbaric weapons in exchange for the Young Lord's meerest of favors?"
“This Young Master will allow the barbarian to keep his things in exchange for ridding our lands of trash," Jun waved the notion off.
“So merciful!" the representative got up so that he could bow again.
The axe was, in truth, nothing supernatural. It was a plain steel axe attached to a wooden shaft. However, it was also the badge of office for a rather large nomadic band of the Xithians. If Jun had been able to buy it, there were favors and connections that he could have made in exchange for it with a force not connected with his family, rare as those were outside of Cultivators in Yan lands. A very useful card to have in his pocket.
And now that it was in the hands of a Xithian warrior, all he'd gain from taking it was a grudge of some sort.
Sigh.
Well, he had nothing else in mind.
“Is there really aught else that the auction house might get you?" the representative asked for the tenth time as Jun went over the list to see if anything else jumped out at him like it had last time.
“This Young Master is happy as he is," Jun grunted for the tenth time. The Talismans were going to be useful, sure, but they weren't the sort of advantage that would grow with time. Not like his girls were. And not like the weapons he was looking for would have been. To add to that, given how nervous the man was looking, Jun might have to buy something anyway if he didn't want to suffer the Auction House's attempts at making it up to him.
He was about to order a trivial thing, when something occurred to him.
“Do you take custom orders?" Jun asked.
“Why, yes, Young Master, we do," the representative licked his lips, “Though I must warn that the Yan Family's exalted standards might prove to be a step too far for our humble Auction House depending on what is it that you want."
“Yellow String Weed," Jun dug for a name that he had heard once long ago and found it, “Can you get me seeds of it?"
“I-I-sure, we can!" the representative said, “But…Yellow String Weed? Did this humble representative hear your Lordship correctly?"
It was all in the name. Yellow String Weed was, indeed, a weed. One that grew in ample amounts on the sides of the road and all over the fields of these parts of the Yan lands. They were edible in that it had seeds inside their flowers, but they were awfully bitter so no one except the truly unfortunate bothered.
They were also extinct by the time Jun died the second time around.
Why? Because someone made the discovery that they were, actually, an aid in Cultivation, if albeit a rather low-grade one.
And that alone would lead to it being harvested to extinction.
If Jun could have some in his keeping when that happened, he stood to make quite a bit of money. Anything that helped in Cultivation could be said to be almost priceless, but this one wasn't so valuable that any Sect would be tempted to exterminate the Yan family to get it. He'd have to arrange a great many things to capitalize on it, of course, but the discovery of it's use, and it's extinction, was still quite a bit away.
It was called Yellow String Weed now, but he would be ready when it started being called Yellow Spirit Weed.
“This Young Master's concubine professed some attachment to its flower," Jun sneered at the befuddled man, “As such, filling a whole valley with them seems like a trifle to make her happy."
“S-such a wise man!" the representative implored, “Truly, I had eyes before, yet only now do I truly see Mount Tai!"
“Yes, yes," Jun played the role of the pacified asshole, “Now, this Young Master doesn't concern himself with the arithmetic of the task, but I'd say about five carts of Yellow String Weed seed would be up to the task?"
“Yes, the Young Master hunch is not wrong at all," the representative quickly agreed, “Five carts does indeed sound like enough to fill a whole valley."
“Well then," Jun gestured at his Guard Captain, and the man had his chest unloaded from his carriage, “All that's left is to go through the uncouth matter of payments."
“Are you sure, my lord?" Lou Tang asked him after they were riding out of the city, “This Guard Captain is thinking that the men he sent were not good at making it known that it was a Yan son making inquiries at their flea-infested inns."
“It is fine, Guard Captain," Jun waved him down, “This Young Master thinks that it must surely be heavenly providence."
“My future is awaited elsewhere."
They actually made it a kilometer outside the town before they were stopped.
Jun was sure that his guards were playing stupid games with him. But it wasn't until they came back telling him that one of the largest trading hubs in Yan lands didn't have any inns with empty rooms, and that they had managed to make sure of that in a few scant hours, that he knew that it was going to be more idiotic then just trying to pull one over him.
And even then, he didn't expect them to bring in bandits.
“Guard Captain Lou?" Jun stuck his head out of the roof top door once the carriage had stopped and people started shouting, “Is anything the matter?"
“Stay inside, Young Master!" his Guard Captain shouted as he waved his sword at a group of bandits. Bandits that had four of his men with them, including the two that had gone to check the inns.
Jun sighed and fetched his talismans and spear out of his carriage.
