Lady Clove visits her metamour, James's steady girlfriend Miss Lonely Rider, to ask a bold question.

The Request

By Lonelyrider

James' treasured anthro mule girlfriend Lonely gets a surprise visit from his old flame, who has a bold proposition for her.

Lonely was putting the finishing touches on the peasant bread she was baking, humming a favorite song to herself as she laid the large round loaves on the table outside in her garden to cool. She felt a wave of sad nostalgia as she recalled when James used to live with her at her little stone cottage and they shared many fond meals in that spot, for he'd always loved it there. She looked to the stables, where her man had kept his two horses, seeing only her large and strong highland pony mare there. Her boyfriend had reluctantly moved away to an impressive manor his father had gifted him, and although she still saw him weekly, she missed him living with her. Lonely lined up pretty brown bags with little colored papers within and dropped a note containing a psalm into each one. She heard the sound of heavy wings and hooves behind her, and knew someone had flown in; she knew it couldn't be her man, as he had a gryphon mount, besides his own angel wingspan, and gryphons didn't possess hooves.

"Please come over, I'm in the garden!" Lonely called in a friendly way, to whomever it was, she sat and took a break as the loaves cooled, smoothing her pretty feminine apron she wore over her long velvet dress and corset. Lonely waved and smiled curiously as she saw a beautiful, slender & young mortal angel female enter her garden, she was about an inch taller than Lonely and slighter of build but still curvy in a thinner way. The female looked her up and down, seeming to be assessing her buxom & voluptuous build & beauty, though she did so semi-politely. The female put a well-groomed painted nail to her lips and thought.

"So...we finally meet. I know I kinda just...dropped in! Oh well. I'm Clove, I'd explain, but I assume you know who I am." The angel femme held out her hand and Lonely stood up with a gasp and shook it, the women eyeing each other curiously.

"Oh yes, yes very much so! It's lovely to finally meet you, Jamesy speaks so highly of you. He's been so thrilled to have you back around. Ahh yes, I'm Lonely, at your service." Lonely said with a little curtsy, her long-legged hoof dipping behind her as she spread her brown velvet dress. Clove eyed her with scrunched lips in thought.

"Hmm, you're a horse of another color, oh, no offense." Clove thought out loud, Lonely took the joke well and giggled, nodding.

"That's quite all right. Would you like some tea, or a sandwich, or anything?" Lonely asked politely.

"My, aren't you the little wifey material. Hans' servants can make my food, thanks but no thanks. No, see..I uh..." Clove hesitated a little, knowing what she was about to say was forward and rude, but she shrugged, reminding herself she didn't really care about that, "I really came here to ask you something, you see, I'm not one for formalities. Woman to woman, type shit." Clove said, feeling her long black glove.

"Oh sure, sure. What can I do for you?" Lonely asked warmly, sitting politely in her chair and listening, Clove eyed Lonely's big bosom and went on, clearing her throat.

"Okay, then. We all know James & many of his partners are poly, I'm assuming you are too." Clove opened, leaning on Lonely's garden chair and adjusting her dark brown wings behind her and long matching hair in front. Lonely nodded, serious as she listened intently.

"I am too, yes miss." Lonely replied.

"Ok, great, glad that's...that. If anything," Clove adjusted her stance, her wings flapping once, "Sexual were to happen between him & I, I came here to ask you if you'd be okay with that, in theory." Clove stated boldly, eyeing Lonely without breaking her gaze. Lonely looked surprised but not offended, she did feel a twinge of jealousy, but she politely ignored it, for Lonely wasn't one to control or dominate her boyfriends.

"Oh...uh...why thank you, for erm, asking that! You see, Jamesy is free to date whomever he wishes, as am I, I just haven't felt the need, oh um, but anyway, of course you may, please just be safe and have fun." Lonely replied in a cheerful way, Clove actually snickered a little and Lonely grinned shyly and blushed.

"Uh..okay, well, that was easier than I thought. Has he dated anyone else since coming back to you?" Clove pried, Lonely let her do it.

"Oh uh, no, he's been free to of course. He's had a lot of romance, which he's told me all about, but no other partners since his return. I'd be really happy about that for you guys, he thinks the world of you, he really does." Lonely gushed; Clove could tell she held back some slight jealousy but was being truthful about her compersion as well.

"Well, you certainly aren't a ball-buster, that's clear. I promise not to abuse that. It's just he's pretty crazy about you, too, and I don't think he'll accept my invitation without your OK, tempted as he'd be. Would you sign this letter I wrote, so I can show him we had this talk? Not that James is the distrustful type, but I just want something to reassure him that you don't have an issue with it." Clove opened a fancy scroll and handed Lonely an expensive and ornate quill, and she marveled at it. Lonely found the bottom line and signed her name in the magical red ink, which shimmered and bound itself to Clove's contract in shiny bold scarlet cursive.

"Well, then, I think I'm satisfied with this. Nice to meet you again, Lonely. Before I go...is there anything you want from me?" Clove asked, but she did so with much hesitation; she hoped the answer would be a fast no. Lonely thought quickly and smiled kindly at Clove.

"Only 1 request. Please...if you can, be good to my darling. He cares for you so much, & I know you make him very happy. You won't have to worry about me meddling, I never do. Please sister, treat him the best that you can, he's truly a treasure." Lonely asked with a sentimental bow of her head, closing her thick eyelashes.

"Back at ya." Clove shot, making a finger gun gesture, Lonely nodded and giggled good-naturedly.

"Always, I promise." Lonely agreed, giving another polite curtsy.

"Alright, good talk, girl. I gotta fly. Good luck with your uh, bread." Clove said, gesturing as she mounted her pegasus mare, who Lonely openly admired with wonder.

"Oh wow, she's gorgeous! Oh yes, it's for the local poor!"

"James taught me how to ride, when we were an item last time. Okay, bye Lonely! Hyah girl!" Clove shouted, her mare gave a fierce whinny and took off at a gallop, flapping her great wings and taking off bearing Clove away as Clove gently tugged her reins and her mare banked to the west. Lonely ran after, waving and calling.

"Goodbye Clove & mare! Nice to meet you honey! Take care, have a beautiful evening!"

Clove watched Lonely from the ground fading away below her and heard her calls on the wind, she leaned in tight to her mare and rode ahead with a fearless smirk, buckling herself into her mare's saddle harness as they swiftly flew onward to her next destination.
