Debuffed

Kima wants to escape her life of demeaning service to an ungrateful petty tyrant. The Rogues' Guild offers kobolds like her a way out.

It's simple, all she has to do is sneak into the great dragon's mansion and make off with one measly little piece of treasure. And really, how hard could that possibly be?

Kima lay in her bed, scrutinizing her build. Usually she didn’t min-max quite this hard, but today was an important day. The pink-scaled kobold had been taught since birth to keep a careful balance of her traits when she constructed them every morning, but that wouldn’t do if she wanted to accomplish today’s agenda.

Setting her will this low was dangerous, that was for sure. She’d have to take the long way around town so she didn’t spend all day in the pie shop again. But Kima knew that pouring all of the points that would normally go there into her intelligence and dexterity had the potential to pay massive dividends.

The low strength didn’t matter, she didn’t need brute force to pull this off. But she would need every ounce of cunning she could muster in order to steal from the great dragon. Kima knew the stories of what happened to the poor souls captured trying to steal from the crimson-scaled menace. She had to be perfect.

She could almost hear Mother scolding her for unbalancing herself so severely. But Mother lived and died an unremarkable scullion, toiling away for years without recognition from the upper crust she served. Kima refused to dedicate the rest of her days to laboring away for the same lord who worked Mother and Father to death.

Kima would not be going down to clean the lord’s underclothes today as she was meant to. Today was the first day of her new life, and this build was the key to unlocking it.

She nodded at the ethereal display floating in front of her, and it responded with a pleasant chime before dissolving into thin air. Lovely, that was the easy part out of the way. Kima flipped through the plan in her head, giggling at how easy it was for her to sift through the steps with her expanded intelligence. Maybe she should do this every day, it was fun to be smart! It wasn’t like she needed strength or willpower to be accepted into the Rogues’ Guild.

No, that wouldn’t be necessary. She would be smart, she would be quick, and she would be the greatest thief the land of Nessia had ever seen. There would be songs about her, stories told in whispers over tankards of ale in every tavern in the land. Maybe someday she could even lead the guild!

That would all have to wait, though. First, she had to make her mark. There was no better way to do that than to steal from the great dragoness, a being only spoken of in whispers amongst the kobolds of Nessia. Few had ever seen her, and even fewer had ever spoken to her. Based on what Kima knew about her, the great dragoness was some mix of a god and a force of nature.

There was one thing every kobold knew about the dragoness in the massive manor house overlooking Nessia: she had a legendary hoard. She probably wouldn’t even miss the one little treasure that would get Kima the life she deserved.

What did it matter that all she heard about others who tried what she had in mind was nightmarish? They probably didn’t construct their builds correctly before setting out on their missions. Not only did Kima have a foolproof distribution, she’d stolen keepsakes from the highborn all her life. Her lord never noticed. Why would a dragon be any different to a noble kobold?

Kima slipped down the back stairwell of the servants’ dormitory undetected, pulling on a hooded cloak as she melted into the busy streets of the Nessian capitol. The pack she held under the cloak held everything she’d need to pull off the heist, with room to spare for the loot. The great dragoness probably wouldn’t even wake up. If she was silent enough to pilfer extra food from the kitchens with the cooks not five feet away, she was silent enough for this.

It was a long walk up the mountainside to the great dragon’s imposing palace. Kima stayed off of the beaten path, which lengthened her journey, but that was better than the potential for being spotted by one of her lord’s soldiers. It was unlikely, but if she was caught deserting her post like this, the consequences could be dire. She’d seen maids accused of laziness whipped in the middle of town square.

She took a moment to stop and rest, sitting on a log and opening her pack to have some food. Bread, cheese, and a bunch of grapes ought to be sufficient to sustain her for now. Kima giggled, imagining how angry her lord would get when he was informed that his personal mid-morning snack had been snatched from his chambers. Served him right. He should’ve shared.

Her journey went on in this fashion for several hours. Slow, but steady progress through the forest, taking frequent breaks to keep herself energized. The shortstack kobold may not have been an experienced adventurer, but she knew how to manage an exhausting workload. On feast days, her lord would work Kima and her compatriots from dawn until well after dusk.

This would work. This had to work. She couldn’t go back to slaving away under the heel of some uncaring high lord who thought himself a dragon by luck of his birth. The Rogues’ Guild would take her in if she could prove herself, and then someday she could have a life of her own.

After hours of careful trekking, Kima reached the summit of the mountain, finding the mansion’s wrought-iron fence before her. She approached from the south face, which was the recommended path from everything she heard. Nobody knew just how extensive the dragon’s surveillance capabilities were, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

The manor faced north, looking out over the capitol below. Trying to find her way in from that direction was unlikely to lead to anything but capture or death, and Kima had no intention of being captured. But back here, there was an old, rusty gate that by all evidence hadn’t been touched in years. A ticket in.

The pink kobold pulled out her lockpicking tools and jimmied the gate open in moments. She’d spent years practicing in the lord’s manor, and she had mastered the art. Dumping so many of her points into dexterity hardly hurt, it usually wasn’t quite this easy.

The gate did creak loudly as it swung open, but Kima darted inside and hid herself behind a hedge as quick as a flash. It didn’t seem like anybody was watching. She didn’t even see any guards, which struck Kima as odd. Wouldn’t you want some help in guarding such vast wealth?

She snuck toward the house, darting from hedge to tree to rock to keep herself hidden. Kima thanked her lucky stars for the dark cloak; her bright pink scales were as good as a banner flapping in the wind to give her away.

Kima stopped behind an ornate fountain, taking a moment to catch her breath. She mustn’t be too hasty. Rashness was her greatest enemy in this moment. Getting to this point was the easiest thing she’d do for the rest of the night. From here on out, she had to be perfect. She had to be the best thief in Nessia. She had to- ooh, what was that shiny thing?

She poked her head over the rim of the fountain’s basin, and her eyes lit up. Lying there in the water were the most beautiful golden bracelets. They shimmered in the moonlight, the precious gems embedded in them twinkling just for Kima. Her breath caught in her throat.

They were gorgeous. They wouldn’t be enough to impress the Rogues’ Guild, especially since she found them laying in a fountain, but there was no reason she couldn’t take them. She scoffed as she picked them up. Shame on the great dragoness for leaving something so beautiful laying in a fountain. Kima would take far better care of them than that.

She slipped the bracelets onto her wrists, and they were long enough to cover half of her forearms. Kima had never touched anything worth half as much as this before, it was bewitching. She couldn’t help but giggle softly to herself. With any luck, she’d be wearing this much gold and this many jewels all the time.

Suddenly, her build display popped up in front of her. Kima cocked her head. That was strange. In all her life, she’d never seen her build display except for right when she woke up in the morning. And when she looked closer, she saw something very strange indeed.

Oh. Maybe that was why the great dragon left these lovely bracelets sitting in a fountain. They were cursed.

Kima tried to remove them, but when she pulled at the bracelets, they clamped down on her arms and squeezed hard. The kobold gasped and released them, whereupon they relaxed to a tolerable pressure.

”Stars dammit,” Kima cursed under her breath, her eyes darting around the massive lawn as she crouched down behind the fountain once more. At least it seemed that she hadn’t been spotted.

That… was certainly a concern. She’d never encountered something that could alter a kobold’s build against their will. Builds were supposed to be iron-clad once they were set for the day. Even the kobold who made it for themselves couldn’t change it until the next day. And what was happening with that new trait?!

The display vanished before she could examine it any further, and Kima felt uneasy. She should go. She should leave right now and scamper away to safety. But she couldn’t very well go back to being a maid with these damned bracelets on! When one of her lord’s men inevitably tried to remove them, she didn’t want to know how hard they would clamp down. They might chop off her forepaws to get at them!

So Kima took a deep breath and steeled herself, making her way toward the massive manor house. It was no matter. When she got out of here with all of her well-earned treasure, she’d have enough gold to pay a mage to break the curse with plenty to spare. It was fine, if a bit inconvenient. At least it had only given her new “arousal” trait two points. It was relatively easy to ignore the prickling heat between her legs.

A window on the ground floor was already open, and Kima slunk her way inside. She stood up inside of some sort of trophy room, full of a wide array of sparkling trinkets. She gasped, it was an awe-inspiring display. Suits of armor made of gleaming steel, majestic swords and daggers, beautiful gowns made of the finest fabrics. But none of that was what caught Kima’s eye.

No, she walked straight toward the beautiful golden coronet, sitting on a wine-red pillow atop a pedestal in the middle of the room. It was a thing of beauty, made of what looked like golden vines woven together. Golden roses and pink diamonds festooned the slim headpiece, and try as she might, Kima couldn’t look away from it.

It was reasonable enough for a cursed item to be dumped in a fountain outside, Kima reasoned. The great dragoness must’ve wanted something like that out of her sight. But why would something presented in the middle of a room of such majestic treasures be harmful? That didn’t make any sense.

Kima picked the coronet up and placed it atop her head, admiring it in the mirror. Oh, the pink diamonds matched her scales perfectly! It was like somebody had picked it out just for her. She giggled and twirled around, her cloak billowing out behind her. No reason she couldn’t have a little fun on her first full-fledged heist, after all!

Fuck.

Kima didn’t even bother trying to remove the coronet, it would just clamp down on her head or something. She looked at the display with regret. Why did she set her will this damn low? With it already down to one, she was inches from being unable to resist any impulse.

The kobold had set her will to zero for an entire day only once. By the end of that day, she’d had sex with ten different kobolds, eaten enough that she couldn’t move, and stolen anything she laid eyes on. That little adventure got her tossed in a dungeon cell for a month after she took a cake meant for her lord.

The consequences were likely to be much more dire here. Kima had no idea what happened to the kobolds the great dragon caught, and accounts varied. Some said she ate them. Some said she kept them as slaves. Some said she just roasted them alive. Whichever was true, none of them sounded ideal.

She’d just have to ignore any of the other pretty things she found. Or at the very least, not be stupid enough to put them on. Her margin for error was all but gone, and she’d barely made it into the mansion. Kima knew she needed to be more careful if she was going to pull this off. Members of the Rogues’ Guild didn’t get cursed quite this easily.

The kobold bit her lip, holding her forepaws behind her back to avoid touching herself. An arousal rating of 4 was much harder to ignore than 2. She could feel her pussy getting wet, moreso with every passing moment. She shuddered at the thought of what a 10 would feel like. Hopefully she’d never have to learn.

Tearing her gaze away from a beautiful white and gold gown, Kima opened the door to a cavernous hallway. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows let the moonlight stream in, which was certainly less than ideal for Kima. She wanted to operate in tight, dark spaces. She needed something that would keep her from standing out, something a bit more stealthy than her cloak. Loose fabric was not conducive to effective thievery.

Her eyes fell upon an inky black suit, resting on a mannequin down the hallway. Kima crept toward it as quietly as she could, smirking. That foolish dragon had left a key mechanism for losing a chunk of her hoard sitting right out in the open.

It was a strange, stretchy material, and it seemed to drink in the moonlight. It was oddly beautiful, and it seemed perfectly sized to fit her. Gently, very gently, Kima pulled the mannequin off of its plinth and worked the strange suit off of its body. There were a few odd squeaks that made the kobold wince, but nobody else was around to hear them.

It was very odd, such a massive manor with not another soul inside it. There were no signs that it was abandoned; Kima hadn’t seen a speck of dust or decay anywhere. But if there were any other kobolds in the great dragon’s manor, they weren’t anywhere Kima could see.

She finally got the suit off of the mannequin and stepped into it, pulling the unusual material up over her body. It fit her perfectly, hugging her every curve and flattering her form. It looked rather nice, actually. Kima couldn’t help but smile looking down at it. The suit felt right, somehow.

The suit easily slipped under her cursed bracelets, its gloves covering her forepaws. She sheathed her claws, not wanting to puncture it. That felt oddly disrespectful. She was here to steal, not to destroy. That was the hallmark of a good thief; in and out without harming anybody or breaking anything that didn’t need to be broken.

The suit reached up to her neck, giving it a gentle, pleasant squeeze. The bubbling arousal in Kima’s core took quite well to the feeling of this cool, smooth material on her scales, and she had to bite back a moan. She considered reaching down to do something about it, maybe expedite this process a bit and restore her focus, but she shook herself out of the thought. She wasn’t one for quiet orgasms, and that would be a humiliating way to be discovered.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Kima doubled over as the fire between her legs surged, her juices dripping down her legs under her suit. Was there anything in this damnable place that wasn’t cursed?! At least this suit didn’t eat at her intelligence or willpower anymore, but it was difficult to be smart with this much lust in her veins.

Worse still, the suit squeaked every time she took a step. Stars, what was she thinking?! This was a terrible idea, what happened to her resolution not to pick up any more cursed items? In retrospect, it was obvious that it would affect her build further. Kima groaned quietly. This was getting out of hand. She needed to work quickly and get out of here before things got any worse.

A heavy oaken door stood at the end of the hallway and Kima snuck up to it, trying not to think about how loud she was now. The infernal squeaks were sure to get her discovered, but she didn’t bother trying to remove the suit. She knew it would be pointless. With how hard those bracelets squeezed her wrists, she didn’t want to feel that on every inch of her body.

It was unlocked, and it opened at the gentlest push. Thank the stars, something easy. But on the other side of the door was another damned interminable hallway, lined with more plinths full of glittering treasures. Kima whimpered. That glowing 1 on her will trait sat heavy on her mind as she helplessly walked toward the first one, a glimmering golden belt encrusted with jewels.

As she stared at it, feeling any resistance to putting it on melt away, the suit moved of its own accord. A wide swathe of the strange material parted around her hips, revealing her dripping pussy beneath. It was obvious where the belt was meant to go. As much as Kima wanted to resist it, she could feel it happening. The belt was going on her, regardless of her thoughts on the matter.

She picked it up, the hinge at the back swinging to allow her to slip it around her waist. Once she put it where it belonged, the seam where the two open ends met fused closed, with no apparent method of opening it. To make matters worse, a long shaft stuck out of the belt into her pussy, amplifying her lust tenfold.

When her build display popped into existence before her eyes again, Kima wasn’t even surprised.

Her new arousal trait going over 10 was exactly as debilitating as Kima feared. She fell to her knees, helplessly pawing at the confining belt. But her attire paid her desperation no mind, the suit closing back over it and leaving no evidence of her new confinement.

For the first time, the kobold stopped to consider that maybe she had strolled into a trap. But with her will trait down to 0, there was nothing she could do to stop herself as she walked over to the next plinth, her pussy throbbing around the intruder buried inside of it. Her moans were really getting to be a problem. Somebody was going to find her!

Oh, here was a merciful solution. A bright golden ball, seemingly made of the same material as her suit, with an attached leather strap. It looked perfectly sized to fit around her head, and that would silence the moans from her climbing arousal perfectly!

Some part of Kima said that didn’t make much sense, but she didn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t listen. It was more wonderful loot that she could take with her when she made her escape from this wretched place. The kobold ignored the little voice in her head that said her escape was never coming.

She opened her maw and slipped the rubber ball into it, pulling the leather strap tight around her head. Once she pushed the belt through its buckle, they fused into one solid strap, and several more blossomed out of it to hold her new gag in place. No matter what she did, Kima couldn’t move it a millimeter.

At least the gag did successfully muffle Kima’s moans, which were now far worse than before. She’d never seen a trait go as high as 14 before. Kobolds were only allotted 25 points for their builds, putting that many into one trait meant sacrificing just about everything else. Especially since she now had a fifth trait!

She never set her intelligence this low. It felt like chains around her mind, weighing down her understanding of her surroundings and leaving her more helpless than ever. When coupled with her building arousal and lack of willpower, Kima had never felt more vulnerable.

Which was unfortunate, since the hallway stretched on far further, with many more cursed indignities she couldn’t possibly resist.

Next was another pair of bracelets, a little bit larger and clearly meant for Kima’s ankles. But these were connected with a short golden chain, and would leave her hopelessly hobbled! There was no greater indignity for a small, agile thief. How was she meant to avoid capture with these on?

That thought bounced around in her head as Kima removed the anklets from their plinth, snapping them into their proper place. With her arousal trait so high, adding another piece of loot she knew full well to be cursed sent an unwelcome charge of pleasure through her body as they locked around her ankles.

Kima’s vision took on a strange golden tinge, everything around her swimming. She stumbled and fell over, crashing to the ground loud enough to alert the entire mountain to her presence. Yet no guards came out to seize her, no security measures activated at the obvious signs of an intruder. There was only Kima and the sea of cursed items before her.

The kobold struggled back to her feet, staggering forward. Now in addition to the suit’s squeaks, her ankle chain clanked with every step. She may as well have come in wearing full plate armor for all the stealth it offered her.

She giggled. She wasn’t doing a very good job of this, was she? Why did that feel so good? It didn’t make much sense, but neither did anything else at this point. Sometimes after a kobold lost a bet, they would have to leave many points unassigned for a day and walk around like this. They were common targets of public ridicule.

But those kobolds didn’t have to deal with a situation like this! Nearly all of Kima’s points had been stolen from her, poured into a mounting lust that she was helpless to address. Stopping to pleasure herself wasn’t even an option at this point thanks to her belt, and even if it was, she doubted it would do anything.

An orgasm wouldn’t cure the immovable fact of her build. Well, immovable as far as she was concerned. All of these damned curses seemed quite capable of moving her build around however they pleased.

She hobbled her way over to the next plinth, and this one was home to the greatest indignity yet. It was a hood, made of the same material as her suit, presented atop a bust. It was perfectly shaped to encase every bit of her head, including her curvy little horns. It would seal the gag into her mouth until it was removed, and Kima was unsure that would ever happen.

The coronet obligingly floated up into the air, making way for the hood. At least there were a series of miniscule holes where her eyes would be, which would grant Kima some sight, albeit very little. She tried to resist its siren song, but she lacked the will. Or the strength. Or the intelligence.

And with her dexterity so limited, it was a struggle to put the hood on. It was a struggle Kima eventually overcame, but she was panting into her gag by the time she pulled the stretchy material into place on her head. It hugged her scales just as tightly as the suit, if not more so.

There were a pair of small holes at the tip of her snout so Kima could still breathe, as well as the grille of tiny punctures over her eyes, but that was it. Every bit of her beloved bright pink scales were now hidden away under the inky black material. She could no longer speak, she could barely see, and all sound was muffled. Kima struggled to imagine how this could get much worse.

The kobold moaned as loud as she could into her gag, her knees quaking from the force of her need. Stars, she didn’t know if she’d ever felt this desperate. Though at this point, she didn’t know much of anything from before she put that first pair of bracelets on. The rest of her life was a blurry, gold-tinted haze under the weight of all these curses.

She shivered. What would happen when all four of her traditional traits reached zero? Having one there was bad enough, all four was something she’d never heard of. Would she die? Would the stars themselves strike her down for her foolishness? Kima didn’t know, and the fact that she didn’t made her cunt throb.

It seemed as though she was well on her way to finding out what would happen as she made her way to the next plinth, whining into her gag. Stars, she would do anything for an orgasm right now. She’d beg all the cursed gear for release if not for the ballgag forever secured between her jaws, or the thick hood pinning her maw shut. Every step only reminded her more of her steadily worsening captivity.

The next item was a massive draconic cock, just as gold as all of the accoutrements adoring Kima’s suit. She didn’t know what she was meant to do with it, but then she felt a burst of cool air on her behind as the suit opened up. The kobold gulped. Between that and the small cup of lubricant next to it, there were obvious instructions for where the toy was meant to go.

Kima wanted to ignore it and move onward, she really did. But now in addition to her depleted will, her lust was so overwhelming that she would do anything to get sexual stimulation. She had never really swung for anal sex before, but the belt left her few options.

Little golden hearts popped into and out of existence around the toy as she slicked it up and looked at it. She wondered what the texturing would feel like inside of her, and the hearts seemed to encourage that line of thought. They were so pretty, and so easy to look at. As far as Kima knew, she’d seen them her whole life, encouraging her to follow the proper paths.

She moaned as she slipped the toy into her hole without an ounce of resistance. Oh stars, that felt heavenly. How had Kima ever lived without that glorious pleasure inside of her? She took a step, and it rocked against sensitive places she never knew she had. The golden hearts were everywhere now, overwhelming her with bliss. She must’ve done well!

When the build display popped into existence before her, Kima giggled eagerly. Yes, yes, please, make her worse! Make her need stronger, steal from her traditional traits, drag her deeper into this beautiful, terrible world of curses!

There was a soft *ping* in Kima’s ear as she read that 0 for her intelligence trait. It was so deliciously forbidden, and the golden hearts floating up through her display reinforced that it was right to feel good about this. She was meant for this, she knew it. This was the proper place for kobolds, pouring all their points into desperate lust and taking on curse after curse.

All she had left was a little bit of dexterity. Kima was a stupid, weak, easily led husk, and she had never felt more alive. The golden hearts congregated around the next plinth, popping in and out of her reality eagerly. She was meant to go there and take on the next curse gladly, and Kima did just that. She didn’t have another choice, and she had no interest in one.

The plinth held two thick balls of the material that covered her body and filled her maw, with large holes at the base. The golden hearts drifted from the balls to her forepaws, and Kima could think enough to figure out what they wanted. Those balls went on her forepaws, of course!

The only downside to this was that it would be impossible for her to don further curses, but this was the last plinth anyway. A huge set of wooden double doors awaited Kima once she took this last curse for herself. With any luck, the great dragon would be on the other side. Kima hoped she was as pretty as all the stories said.

She slid one forepaw into her new mitt, and then the other. The holes obligingly opened wider for her as she did, rewarding Kima with another shower of beautiful golden hearts. She giggled happily into her gag, clenching down on the toys in her holes. How did anybody live with their points going to other traits? This was heavenly.

There it was. The final nail in Kima’s coffin, the corruption of her final points into her new trait. But all the kobold could feel was joy. At last! What did she need with brains or resistance anyway? That wasn’t what kobolds like her were for. No, what she was for awaited her on the other side of these doors.

She hobbled up to them and pushed, and they thankfully swung open for her with magical assistance. She lacked the strength to work them herself. Stars, the great dragon was so considerate. Kima was lucky to wear all of these lovely cursed items for her.

Waiting on the other side of the doors was an astounding collective of riches. The room was easily two hundred feet tall, with a high, cavernous domed ceiling that Kima could barely see. The pile of gold and jewels stretched up some fifty feet, bigger than Kima had ever imagined. Everything she’d heard about the great dragoness’ wealth did not do it justice.

And lying atop of the hoard, surrounded by popping golden hearts, was the majestic being Kima had once sought to steal from. She really was as pretty as all the stories said.

She was covered in deep crimson scales, with golden accents all over her body and wings. Her eyes were nearly as big as Kima was, as deep blue as the see and rimmed with yet more gold. She smirked down at the curse-laden kobold before her and beckoned the miniscule creature forth.

Some invisible force grabbed hold of Kima and pulled her into the air, so quickly it made her head spin. The gold hearts were everywhere up here as she floated in mid-air, pulling a helpless, stupid giggle from her lips. It was swallowed up by her gag and hood, but the great dragoness noticed it nonetheless.

“Hello there, little prize,” the great dragon said. “You seem as though you’ve had a fun time stumbling into one curse after another.”

Kima nodded and giggled, then gasped as the great dragon took ahold of her with one of her massive paws. She pushed Kima’s arms behind her back, where her bracelets locked together with an audible clank. She also removed the chain locking her ankles together and pushed them together, pinning them there as well.

Kima squealed into her gag. She didn’t know that was possible! Nobody told her that traits could descend below zero! She looked up at the great dragoness helplessly, finding a cruel, condescending smirk waiting for her.

”Oh, that’s right, little trophy,” the dragon growled. “I can take more from you than you ever thought possible. It’s only just begun. My lovely treasures took you down to where creatures like you belong. I’m going to take you so much lower than that.”

The golden hearts intensified. Even when Kima closed her eyes, they were everywhere. They were so beautiful, so lovely, and they reinforced that she belonged here. Caught in the great dragon’s talons, helpless before a creature who was obviously superior to Kima, as well as everybody she had ever met.

”It was adorable seeing your build when you first came in, little one,” the dragon said, squeezing Kima tight enough to force the breath from her lungs. “Sacrificing will for intelligence was unwise, as I’m certain you’ve now realized. Well, maybe you had realized it before, but I’m certain you’ve forgotten by now.”

Forgotten? Had Kima forgotten something? Oh well, it must not have been important. What could possibly be more important than laying limp in the dragon’s grasp, listening to her lovely voice? The toys inside of her made it impossible to consider anything else.

”You’re hardly the first to make that mistake,” the dragon continued, running her thumb up and down Kima’s body. “Plenty of your compatriots have left the necessity of willpower by the wayside when they came to steal from me. And every single one of them ended up just as hopelessly doomed as you, little one.”

She swiped her thumb over Kima’s eyes, and the hood parted for a moment to give her an unobstructed view. Once the stretchy material moved away, she saw something that made her heart skip beats.

It was countless kobolds, floating in midair, clad in the exact same assemblage of cursed gear as her. Wrist and ankle cuffs, suit, hood, mitts, coronet, gag, and presumably the belt and toy in their backsides as well.

Kima shuddered. This was what happened to everyone who tried to steal from the great dragon? She tried to count how many there were, but she couldn’t make it past five before she forgot how. There were far, far more than five. Even if she had any smarts, it would be difficult to register just how many kobolds were up there.

”Of course, plenty of the trophies you see tried different strategies as well,” the dragoness purred. “Some put a comical number of points into strength and aimed to find their way through with brute force. Some put everything into the willpower needed to resist temptation. A couple even made it in here with some traits more or less intact!”

She leered down at Kima, swiping her thumb over her eyes again. The grille returned, though this time it had half as many holes. The kobold whimpered, squirming in the great dragon’s grip, but she could do nothing about it. Not that she would if she could.

”But once they were here, they had to contend with me,” the dragoness hissed. “And you adorable little kobolds are no match for a fully-grown dragon, are you?”

Kima shook her head no, and she was rewarded with a shower of golden hearts. Nobody could ever be a match for the great dragon, she was so foolish to think she could steal from such an immaculate being. Now she would reap the consequences of her arrogance.

Stars, what beautiful consequences. The dragoness pressed a talon against the front of her belt, as well as the base of the toy in her ass. They roared to life, vibrating inside of her and coaxing screaming moans out of her lips.

”That’s a good little prize,” the great dragon cooed, keeping her talons pressed down and intensifying the vibrations. “Join the chorus of your fellow trophies, let out every drop of bliss you can when you’re so wonderfully confined.”

She didn’t leave Kima much of a choice. She writhed as best she could against the dragoness’ crushing grasp, which amounted to a few centimeters in any given direction.

”I wonder if you little fools will ever figure out that there is no ‘Rogues’ Guild,’” the dragoness mused. “It is nothing but a rumor that I and my agents propagate amongst Nessia to keep eager little thieves flocking to my home. It works wonders, don’t you think?”

”MMPH?!” Kima exclaimed, straining against her bonds. She wanted to be indignant about that, but she was mostly just surprised. Astonished at the depths of the great dragon’s manipulation of her kind. All she had done tonight was grow the dragon’s hoard.

”If you cast your gaze downward, you will see,” the dragon said, turning Kima to face the faraway floor. The kobold looked down and saw five of her own kind, clad in hooded cloaks and free of cursed gear. But in their eyes, she saw rippling rings of red and gold to match the great dragon’s scales.

”Go into town tonight, my dears,” the dragoness commanded. “Spread word far and wide of a successful theft in the great dragon’s home. Take care to go into great detail about the value of the items pilfered.”

”Yes, Maestro,” all five kobolds droned in unison before striding out of the room. Kima whimpered. It had all been a lie from the beginning. The one hope she clung to that could save her from a miserable life as a servant led her here was pure fiction.

Well, she could certainly do worse than being what she was right now forever. The golden hearts erupted forth once more as the great dragoness turned her around to face her once more. She may have been less free than ever before, but it felt oddly liberating to exist in total bondage.

At least she wouldn’t have to wash some awful lord’s underclothes as a piece of treasure in the dragon’s hoard.

The dragoness’ eyes rippled out into bewitching spirals, matching those she saw in the kobold agents’ eyes. Kima went totally slack in her new Maestro’s grip, the tide of golden hearts almost overwhelming now.

”Obviously, I can’t trust a greedy little thief with freedom of movement,” Maestro said, as though it were the most natural thing in the world. “You’ll join my horde of aspiring master thieves here, existing in torturous bliss forevermore.”

Kima nodded, and more golden hearts accompanied the gesture. The fire burning in her core was all-consuming, impossible to resist. Her will had been inverted beyond belief, replaced with Maestro’s vision for her future. Of course she would exist as a captive trophy forever. Had there ever been another choice?

But apparently Maestro wasn’t done with her yet. No, Kima needed yet more correction for her preposterous belief that she could get one over on this wonderful, perfect creature.

The great dragon waved a paw, and a jet-black corset popped into existence before Kima’s eyes. She whimpered as it wrapped itself around her midsection, pulling itself as tight as it possibly could. The trapped kobold wheezed as it forced the air from her lungs, and she could only pull in trickles of air through her nostrils.

”I usually don’t add more curses to my prizes once they’re in my grasp, you know,” Maestro said, smirking at her captive. “You’re a very lucky little morsel to be getting this much attention. Or unlucky, depending on your point of view. But your will belongs to me now, more than any other kobold here. So be a good doll and surrender every point you didn’t know you had to me, hm?”

A thick golden collar was next, squeezing Kima’s neck tight enough to restrict her breathing further still. The build display couldn’t even come into existence before Maestro added a thick blindfold over her eyes, plunging her into darkness with nothing but the golden hearts for company.

It was briefly saddening that she would never get to gaze upon the great dragoness again, but that “thought” drowned in a wave of golden hearts. This was what Maestro wanted for her, so it must be good. Maestro would never lead her astray. Maestro knew what she was really for, and she was nice enough to trap her inside of her purpose.

”I’m certain you figured this out long ago, but you won’t be resetting your build in the morning from now on,” Maestro said, winding thick golden chains around Kima’s body. “Only I can change your build from now on, and all I will do is drag your traits further into the depths and make you more desperate for it. Doesn’t that sound delightful?”

These were dizzying sums, ones Kima had no hope of understanding. They may as well have been ancient runes for how comprehensible they were to her. But the number of numbers present told a clear story: she was beyond doomed.

”I save my truly powerful curses for cases like you,” Maestro said, clearly enjoying herself. “If I put these out in the open, they would break you far too quickly. I wouldn’t get to savor the slow death of your sentience. And you, Kima, have made for a delicious meal.”

The chains squeezed tight around her whole body, and Kima wheezed out a moan. They were just as tight as the bracelets had been when she first tried to pry them off, only they didn’t relent. She didn’t know confinement this total was possible, and now she was going to experience it forever!

At long last, she slipped from Maestro’s grip, floating up into the air to join the rest of her kind. She strained against her bonds, finding to her delight that they did not offer any give. She would never move again. She would never think again.

Kima would only be a trophy for the rest of time.

***

Trophy hung in the air, just as it always did. It had never known any other life, as anything but being Maestro’s Trophy had been purged from its mind. It was a blissful existence, one full of tight, wonderful pleasure.

Every now and then, Maestro would grace it with Her presence. She said such wonderful things to it, told it how safe it was in Her hoard, how She would never let anything bad happen to it, and how perfect it looked as Her Trophy.

Trophy knew nothing but love for its existence. It was aware that it had a body, a mouth, eyes, and other things that free beings would have, but Trophy did not have them for expression and comprehension. Trophy only had a mouth, eyes, and a body to remind it that all of those things were trapped. It could not speak, could not see, and could not move.

The only things it saw besides the glorious blackness of its hood were the wonderful golden hearts and its build display. The hearts were omnipresent, forever drifting through its field of vision and reminding it that this was a perfect, desirable existence. They kept it in a happy haze, locking its drained brain down under their beautiful little pops.

The build display popped up occasionally, presumably whenever Maestro decided it needed a reminder of how low it was. She told Trophy that there were other kobolds with traits other than arousal above zero, and Trophy felt awful for them. What was it like to not know endless bliss like this?

It was delighted that it would never have to find out. Maestro would never free it from its bonds, as She was so happy to remind it when She graced it with Her presence. The great dragoness never let go of treasure once it joined Her hoard.

The build display floated before its closed eyes, still visible despite Trophy’s encasement. It was long past understanding what all of those symbols meant, but it knew that understanding was not the point. This was for Maestro’s pleasure. So She could enjoy showing Her prize just how stupid and helpless it was.

Though it was strange. For a while now, all of the symbols were the exact same every time the display appeared. Trophy remembered that they were different every time before, but it still had the same effect. It reminded Trophy that it was less. Less than kobolds, less than Maestro, even less than the others in Her hoard. It would thank Her if it could, but all it could do was moan. It hoped that pleased Her.
