The Cohen Icosahedrion This one started out as an April Fool's joke and turned into its own spinoff story.
Silent Cruiser wasn't sure what he was about to walk into and thus sent a questioning pulse into the room beyond the door. The echo he received told of a simple room with a desk, a plant in the corner and a four-named Album sat behind the desk. Knowing what lay beyond the door did nothing to quell his nerves. He still didn't really understand why the chief doctor of the medical facility wanted to see him, but he wasn't going to ignore the command of a four-named Album.
“Come in, Silent Cruiser. You have nothing to fear from me. I assure you." The Phin beyond the door said, speaking in Phin, and the door slid silently into the wall beside it, revealing to Cruiser's eyes the room his melon had shown him.
“I apologize, Striped Gray Caring Healer. I am not entirely sure of my purpose being here." Cruiser said earnestly, speaking in kind.
“You are here because your mate is a human male and pregnant, Silent Cruiser. There are many things that you will need to know in order to properly take care of and provide for him during his pregnancy. Considering my human male mate has had two of my children, and my experience as a doctor, I decided to help you to understand what your human will need during these times."
“Th...thank you, Striped Gray Caring Healer. Is there really that much to know?"
“You would be surprised how extremely the human male body reacts to progesterone. Especially Phin progesterone." The older Phin chuckled.

Cruiser swam through water that would be waist high on Tyler. He ruminated upon what the chief doctor had advised him of as far as how the pregnancy and hormones were likely to affect Tyler.
He'd seen some of those effects already without the hormones. The way Tyler seemed to be constantly going between rage, tears, and laughter was worried for the regularly levelheaded scientist that the Phin had come to know, respect, and admire during his time on Land Earth. But from certain things he'd seen doing his own research on human pregnancies, those all tracked with the norm for human females. It was just that Tyler wasn't female that still confused Cruiser.
He wasn't going to fight it. He hadn't planned on getting Tyler pregnant, believing that banging a male human would have zero consequences. Neither of them could get each other's diseases. There was little to no risk of hurting the human if the Phin was the penetrating partner, so long as the Phin was conscious of the human's anal capacity and not exceeding what the human could handle, and finally no risk of entanglement from a potential pregnancy.
He'd chosen Tyler for a bed partner for that reason—the lack of consequences, but also because of the mutual attraction and the fact that Tyler was so shy. It intrigued him. And during their tryst, Cruiser had learned that Tyler was what humans referred to as a 'virgin.' Meaning 'one who has not had sex,' the human informed him embarrassed. The Phin was somewhat aware of this term already as he'd been in the Unity Programme for a while. But the fact that a sexually attractive individual of breeding age who had been with literally no one surprised the cetacean humanoid.
And then—due to being ill-informed—Cruiser had gotten him pregnant on his first try. With Tyler's emotional fluidity, and the fact that Cruiser had left without a goodbye, Cruiser could count the fish that the human had taken him back at all. Let alone chose to keep the baby. He was happy, of course, but he still understood that he'd been extremely lucky that pregnantmale human Tyler was so willing to forgive. Not every human he'd met would be so understanding.
It was in part because neither knew that the pregnancy was possible. They'd had a fling. Then Cruiser had had to leave. Because of his visa expiring. There were going to be many issues to resolve, but at least now they could support each other. Be together. And though Phin law had forced it upon them, neither was denying that being together, being a couple was something both males wanted. Being parents? Probably not so much. But now that they were here, Tyler said he wanted to keep it.
Which meant cetacation. A process neither he nor his human fully understood despite its being explained to them by the surgeon who would be responsible for the procedure. This scared Cruiser. But he knew he needed to be brave for his human. His human. The more he thought that thought, the more its truth became real to him. Which of course meant that he was more than happy to be Tyler's Phin.

Tyler's eyes cracked open, and groggily he looked around. He was in a hospital bed. He could hear the distinct beeping of a heartrate and blood-oxygenation monitor and saw the machine beeping away next to his bed. He smelled the faint acridity of bleach or some other strong disinfectant that they used to keep the room free of germs. He felt the light weight of the cannula's piping on his ears and cheeks. As well as the scratchy fabric of the cheap sheets the hospital used to dress their beds. He could taste something slightly fishy and noticed that he'd been started on an IV of saline.
Apparently, now that he was awake, that taste caused by the saline solution was enough to cause his stomach to roll. He sat bolt upright and frantically looked around the room while holding a balled fist up to his mouth and cupping his belly. He saw a grey waste bin and quickly grabbed it. Considering his lack of food in the last couple of days, the fact that only bile came up wasn't a surprise. The hands grabbing and taking the waste bin away from him was, though. He looked up and was greeted with the sight of a portly woman of fair skin and orange-ish red hair and a smattering of freckles in a line across her cheeks and nose wearing pastel turquoise scrubs. “It's alright, dearie. Ya got a bad dose of it dinchya. We'll getcha right grand."
“Whuh?" Tyler asked intelligently.
“Ah, sorry. Me accent is right murder ta understand. I'm from Oirlind back on Land Earth."
“I'm sorry did you say you're from Ireland?"
“Aye, dearie. Bang on!" She chuckled, “Let's getchya situated. I brought some biscuits and water ta try an' help settle yer stomach."
The nurse pulled an eating table over the bed and put a tray on it that had a glass of water on it and some crackers. Simple. Plain. Most likely wouldn't upset his stomach. Tyler grabbed one of the crackers and took a small nibble. The bland flavor wasn't anything to write home about, but it was food. And his stomach didn't roll at the taste of it. Tyler looked at the nurse with wide eyes.
It wasn't exactly good flavor. Bland and dry, but he could taste it and not immediately pray to the porcelain god. He tried to shove the lot of them into his mouth, but the nurse stopped him. “No, dearie, none o' tha' now. I know yer hungry, but yer stomach won' handle it well if you overload it. Take it slow."
Taking it slow was difficult, but he understood the nurse's concern. He took another biscuit, chewed, and swallowed. Then, looked at the nurse and said in lieu of a question, “I don't believe I got your name, Miss?"
“Máire. Máire Mac a 'Phearsain. But ye can call me Mary." She said.
“Thanks Mary."
Mary nodded. She sat patiently as he finished the frankly terrible meal. But food was food, and he hadn't eaten in days. When he was done, she took the tray, said, “Now don't ye feel better that ye've eaten?"
Tyler nodded enthusiastically. “Much. Thanks again, Mary." He looked around the room for Cruiser and didn't see the Album at all.
“We sent him ta yer quarters. He stayed here with ye until the wee hours of the mornin', after the procedure. We shooed him out around three." Mary said.
Tyler blushed at his transparency.
“If It's his baby, It's not a stretch to realise ye two have a connection." She chuckled.
