Beast Rise: 69 Days Later
Two Months after the collapse of society, a young human survives on his own in a world now filled with Beasts, anthropomorphic men who hunt the landscape searching for humans to turn. After being isolated for so long, can Roger keep his humanity any longer?
Hey, this is a fan story set in a universe my friend Surry created, called Beast Rise. It's a post-apocalyptic setting where a virus turns humans into Beasts, forcing them to try to survive in a new, constantly changing world. This is a fan story for the setting. it had a bunch of stuff i never tried to write before so it was intristing. no idea about possible sequeals at the moment but will keep my options open.
also yes, the title is the parody of the movie series

Beast Rise: 69 days later
Light shined in a dark room, stirring Roger out from his dreamless sleep. Even though he just woke up, the human felt exhausted. “Another restless night," Roger signed as he threw the covers off. He immediately felt the cold air prick his exposed skin as he moved to the calendar and tore off a sheet revealing today's date. November 27, 2024. 69 days. It _'__ s been 69 days since the world ended._ Roger couldn't forget the day it happened. Roger moved to the window and pulled the blinds down, his eyes scanning the empty parking lot of his complex. “All clear, might as well get the day started."
On September 19, the world Roger knew ended. Beasts, giant anthropomorphic men, flooded the streets all over the country, bringing chaos with them. No one knew where they came from or how it started, but by that day, it was already too late. There was panic from all the people running from the Beasts, people fled the cities in droves for protection. TV shows and the news were filled with talks of what the Beasts were and how they could handle it. The internet was buzzed with all the small details of events that lead to The Change and blaming all who failed to protect us. Roger watched it all go down from his apartment. He watched the Beasts swarm the streets, looking for humans to turn.
Within a week, the government tried to evacuate and contain the outbreak, but all attempts failed. Military checkpoints and evacuation sites were a breeding ground to the Beasts, who swarmed those locations like ants. It wasn't uncommon that after hearing about an evacuation site, it would be overrun with Beasts within the hour. Over the weeks, the orders became less frequent till they slowly stopped all together. The internet slowly became the source of any news and info about what was happening across the country, but that too stopped working as time passed.
After a month, amenities were gone. No clean water, no gas, and no electricity were in any of the buildings. With them gone, human survivors who were hiding slowly left their shelters to scavenge the abandoned cities in search of supplies. The lucky ones got to go home without issues, the unlucky ones got turned. Each day was a gamble with their humanity on the line.
Roger knew that to keep his humanity intact, he had to hide himself. The human stayed in his apartment as much as possible when the outbreak started, only leaving to get supplies. As the days passed, Roger fell into a routine of eating, chores, reading, scavenging, and sleeping. Even when the power and water were cut, it changed little on how the human went about his day.
Roger entered the kitchen and opened his cabinets. There was little in there and what he wasn't in a mood for, but the growling in his stomach meant he needed to eat something. “Cup noodles, I guess," pulling the noodles out of the cabinet. Roger filled a kettle with bottled water and placed it on a small battery-powered electric stove to boil.
As he waited, Roger got dressed. On the upper half of his body, he wore a thick grey hoodie he happened to get during his previous supply runs. His legs were covered in black sweatpants, as they were the only warm leggings he had for this kind of weather. With no heating, the apartment was at the mercy of whatever temperature mother nature said it was. Roger was thankful that at least winter was coming instead of summer for nothing else except that it was easier to fight the cold than a southern summer.
The high-pitched sound of the kettle launched Roger into a mad dash to the kitchen. The human was positive that he was the last person in the building, but rather not take chances. As the human poured the boiling water in the cup to cook, he started to talk to himself. “Okay, today I need to get some supplies. Almost out of bottled water and soap. Think there should still be at the store. Hmmmm, I think I read most of the books around here already. Should I go to the library today? It's kind of far with not much coverage. Maybe I can try another store. There is the one up Powers Ferry. It's probably picked clean of food, but some new books would be good. Maybe CDs or a coloring book." The human sighed as he ran his fingers through his brown hair. A numb feeling washed over Roger. Who am I fooling? Roger walked over the couch and picked up one of the pillows. With his hands shaking, he slammed the pillow down onto the armrest repeatedly.
Moments like this had become more common to the human since the others left the complex. Many left the complex when the evacuation orders were announced, the remaining few left when the amenities stopped working. While Roger was safe, the isolation was eating at him. How long has it been since he talked with someone besides himself? How long has it been since he shared a meal with anyone? Even with a clear answer, it might as well be a distant memory. It's only when the community was gone did Roger realise how much he needed others.
Roger stopped swinging the pillow. How long can I keep this up? Is this my life forever? The human kneeled and then laid on the floor. In the dark silent room, Roger laid motionless on the floor. In his mind, Roger tried to empty his mind. Thoughts like that were a risk to Roger. He only survived this long cause he isolated himself in the first place. He avoided the Beasts as much as possible for the sake of his humanity. But now Roger wondered if it was really worth it.
Roger got off the floor and grabbed his cup noodles. He opened the sliding door to his balcony and sat in one of the chairs he set out there. When the Change started, the human rarely used his balcony to avoid the chances of being found by a Beast. But now the human seemed indifferent to such an outcome.
The world outside was quiet and empty. The birds have already moved south because of the cold weather, leaving only the sound around to be of the wind and Roger's slurping his breakfast. Around the complex, signs of disrepair showed itself. Leaves covered almost every surface imaginable in the apartment complex. The cars who were abandoned have a thick layer of dirt and leaves on them from the disuse. Every patch of grass the human saw was overgrown from the lack of cutting and weeding. Whatever item that was left on the neighbours patio now had a layer of dirt on them. The potted plants all wilted from lack of care and water, though even roger wasn't sure if they were already dead before everyone left. Truly, in every sense, Roger was alone here.
As Roger finished his breakfast, the human prepared for another day of scavenging. Normally the human would wait until later to start, as the Beasts seemed more active in the morning, but the idea of staying in the stiffing air of his apartment was unbearable for Roger. He grabbed his keys and the wagon and left the complex.
When the Beasts first appeared, there was very little looting with how many Beasts flooded the streets. It was easy to get caught. When the evacuation orders started, few wasted time picking up supplies as they ran, leaving most places stocked up full of goods for the people left behind. The hardest part was actually getting inside of the buildings.
Down the road from where the human lived was a CVS, which has been where Roger has gotten most of his supplies. In the beginning, Roger sheltered an employee from the store at his place for a while. When the evacuation orders started, the employee left, leaving behind the keys to access the stockroom as thanks. Since then, Roger made multiple trips, bringing goods and supplies out of the store. Even after so many trips, the CVS had enough supplies to last Roger a little while longer.
The walk to the CVS was uneventful and quiet. The only noise the human heard was his own footsteps and the spinning of the wagon's wheels. Roger looked in the tree that ran along the side of the road, sparse enough to see from the other side, but the individual trees were thick enough to hide a Beast behind them. In a way, Roger wished for some sort of noise in this silence. The rustling of leaves, the breaking of a branch underfoot, even a scream would be a welcome change of pace for Roger. Instead, all he was left with was this isolating silence.
As Roger arrived at the employee entrance, he unlocked the door. The door made a loud creaking noise as it swung open. The inside of the storage area was pitch black, making it necessary for the human to pull out his flashlight. As Roger stepped past the threshold, he let the wagon get caught by the door, letting some much needed light in the room. During his multiple trips, Roger did his best to keep this place organized just to make his trips easier. As the human walked to the corner with the food, he heard the door creaking. Roger froze on the spot. As far as the human knew, he was the only one who was still in the area. Slowly Roger looked at the door.
Opening the door was a hulking ferret Beast. The Beast crouched through the door into the storage, and stood high above the human. Like most ferrets, or at least the one Roger saw, the Beast has dark fur covering most of his body with patches of white on his round stomach. It was a massive Beast with arms and legs as thick as Roger's torso. The Beast's massive pecs jiggled and swayed with every slight movement the Beast did. But Roger's eyes couldn't tear itself away from the ferret's manhood left swinging between his legs. An enlarged cock no different from a human's, reaching to the top of the ferret's knees. The second the Beast entered the storage area, a strong pungent filled the air, making Roger's eyes water.
Roger's legs gave out as he collapsed on the floor. The human started to shake with fear. Roger had only seen the Beasts from a distance, never had he seen one so close before. There was no way he would escape. His fate was sealed. The humanity he so closely protected would be gone in an instant. He couldn't cry or scream, only watched in stupefying horror as the Beast approached him.
The Beast reached out to Roger. “You okay there?" It asked, “I didn't mean to scare ya, did I?"
Roger just stared at the Beast. It _'__ s...talking? When were they able to do that?_ The human could only look up at the Beast in confusion.
The Beast tilted his head at Roger. “Oh," The Beast pointed at Roger, brought his head to his temple in a salute, then twirled his fingers, “do you need sign language?" The Beast reached towards his mouth, “how about lips," he said slowly, “do you read lips?"
“I," Roger choked out," I can hear you."
The Ferret relaxed, “oh good. I uh don't know much sign language." The ferret reached for the human and lifted him onto his feet. Roger could tell those muscles were clearly not just for show, the ferret was strong. The beast brushed off Roger, “the name's Finn, pleasure to meet ya."
“Roger." The human backed away slowly. Why was it so friendly? Since when did they talk? Memories of the first days of the Change filled the human's head. The Beasts were no different from zombies in other media in their eyes, mindless smelly brutes looking for humans to change. But this one was talking and trying to be friendly. Is it an act? A trap? Are they even smart enough for that kind of stuff? Wait, since it's talking, I guess it is smart enough to do that. “How did you find me? I was sure I wasn't followed."
“Find you? Oh no, I was trying to get in when you showed up. I tried to hide, but you didn't seem to notice me from my hiding spot."
Roger could only slap himself in the face for that blunder. How could have he missed such a massive being? Or even the strong smell? Fuck, that smell was so...so. As Roger tried to think, his thoughts seemed to get jumbled. The smell of the Beast seemed to be something Roger just kept his mind off of. The more the human thought about it, the more the human felt he was forgetting something important.
Finn pulled a large duffel bag off his back. “I'm sorry for asking this, but do you mind sharing some of this stuff with my Pack."
“Pack? Like, a group?
“Yeah." Finn paused, “did you not know we live in packs?"
“No, you are the first Beast I ever talked to. I mostly hide when I see them." And who wouldn't? Roger added internally. Roger remembered all the footage of people being grabbed by the Beasts when they first were shown on the news. It wasn't long after that his complex got invaded by them as well. Roger only saw the Beasts grab people before locking himself and CVS employee in the bathroom to hide.
“Really? Hope I am giving a good impression at least." Finn looked around the storage area, “anyway, about sharing the stuff here? I don't have anything on me right now, but we can trade stuff for it instead."
Roger looked at the duffel bag Finn was carrying and then at the boxes. It was true that Roger had plenty of supplies. This amount of supplies was honestly too much for one person alone. A lot of it might actually expire before Roger even got to it. Roger looked back at Finn. The human couldn't read the Ferret's face, but there was something about it that was attractive to the human. “Fine. You don't have to worry about trading stuff. As you can see, I have loads of supplies. You can just take what you need free of charge."
The ferret beamed, “oh thank you, thank you." Finn pulled the human into a hug, the human's head right in-between the ferret's massive juicy pecs, “I was worried I was scaring you. I promise when I get back, I'll bring stuff in return for all this."
As Roger's face was buried in the pecs, the strong smell assailed Roger's nostrils. Roger was overwhelmed by the strong odor. But at the same time, the human felt himself relaxing. Every muscle that should have been trying to pull away from Finn relaxed. He just wanted to breathe in this scent. The Human didn't even realize he was getting an erection.
Finn released the human and walked to the boxes, “so how is this place organized? I know I am here looking mainly for food, but we need a few things back home."
Roger slowly turned to Finn, only to realize he was no longer being held. “Huh, food?" Seeing the ferret a bit away from him shocked Roger out of his daze, “food! Right. It's right over there." Roger pointed. “I tried to stack them based on the food."
Finn gave a warm smile as he turned to where the food was being held.
Roger noticed his erection and turned his back to the ferret. What the fuck? Why am I hard? That usually doesn't happen to me. Is it because I've been alone for so long that a simple hug is able to turn me on? The human reached down and felt the erection through his pants. It's mine, but something feels different. It feels...bigger.
Finn opened a few boxes, pulling out cans of various soups and packets of rice. “they will definitely like some of this," he muttered as he placed the food in the bag. “Hey Roger, is it alright to take a whole box of stuff? I have quite a few people to feed?"
“Huh? Uh yeah, whatever." The human continued to rub the erection lightly through his pants. He felt like he was forgetting something. It was on the tip of his tongue, but he couldn't remember what it was.
Finn emptied the boxes and returned to Roger, “so besides food, we need a few other stuff as well."
Roger flinched at the voice and tried to adjust himself to hide his boner. “Huh, what else do you need?"
“Well, some toiletries for one. Soap, toothpaste, and toilet paper, for example. Since this was a pharmacy, maybe some med, if possible."
“Oh," Roger turned and walked past the ferret, “I know that at least some of that stuff is still on the sales floor at least. They probably won't be in large quantities, but it's something."
Going through the door on the other side of the warehouse took the two to the sales floor. Time had taken its toll on the store, with dust on most of the shelves. For much of the ongoing apocalypse, the store had been rather undisturbed, in large part to the bars that covered the front entrance to the store. Granted, many of the things left on the store floor were stuff Roger either had no use for or stuff the human can find elsewhere.
“The things like medicine and vitamins are close to the back of the store, in front of the pharmacy," Roger explained, “for stuff like shampoo and soap, they are around there." He pointed to another corner of the store. Roger turned to the ferret, who was standing directly behind him. “And you are free to take anything else here you might find useful. There is a lot of stuff here."
Finn looked around amazed, “this is great, we really hit the jackpot this time. A lot of the places aren't as well stocked as here. I might have to make multiple trips to get everything."
As the ferret walked past Roger, the human once again caught the scent of Finn. While he still couldn't tell what the smell was, Roger still liked it. The human craved the scent. He wanted nothing more than to bury his face in Finn's fur and inhale. But at the same time, something felt off. Roger felt something in the back of his mind nag him about something. Something from the early days of the apocalypse.
Finn bounced around the store, stuffing his duffel bag with everything the Pack needed. Soap, toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning supplies, vitamins, medicine, bandages, some clothes, and even some candy for some of his Pack's sweet teeth. The more the ferret stuffed his bag, the more excited he got. Finn was eternally grateful to Roger for this. He couldn't even think about how to thank him. There was one way Finn could think of, but wasn't sure Roger would be receptive to it.
Roger, meanwhile, tried to keep a distance away from Finn. Well, trying was a bit of a stretch. Wherever the Ferret went, Roger stood at the end of the aisle or some feet away, just far enough to be out of reach of the ferret's hands. Still, Roger's eyes were glued to the ferret, not out of hostility or mistrust, but of interest. Something about the Beast drew Roger to him. Maybe it was the isolation that drove him to seek out anyone to hear them speak. Maybe it was the first time he just spoke to a Beast finally curious about the beings who collapsed society by their appearance. Maybe it was because Finn was attractive and Roger was horny. Who could say?
Finn spoke about his Pack and his travels, how the ferret was turned early when the outbreak started and how he came to be in the area. The ferret also spoke about what he was like as a human, or at least the bits and pieces he could remember. Roger listened to every word. In turn, Roger spoke of tricks he learned as well. Some tools he found or tricks he learned how to make food last longer.
As Finn zipped up his overstuffed duffel bag, he turned to the human. “I really have to thank you again for this," he said, “I promise when I get back to base, I'll find something to trade for all this. You're a lifesaver, Roger."
“Ooh, I am," Roger responded, his face turning a bit red. “It's not a problem. I mean, no problem. I am happy to help."
Finn slung the strap over one of his shoulders, “don't worry, I'll be back with stuff in a bit. I won't leave you hanging for long." The ferret stepped past the human on his way to leave.
As Roger saw Finn walk away, fear took hold of him. Finn was going away. Roger will be alone again. Even though the ferret promised to return, who knew how long that would be? It could be hours, maybe even days, till the human saw Finn again. With each step of the ferret, the fear in Roger's chest grew. Before Roger could calm himself, he sprinted to Finn, wrapping his arms around the ferret's massive waist. “Please," the human whimpered, “please don't go."
The hug from behind startled Finn, “whoa, whoa, hey, don't worry, I promise to be back and—"
“No, please. I don't want to be alone. I can't stand it anymore." the human started to shake as the tears formed in his eyes. Roger's hands dug into Finn's fur, as though he was scared of losing Finn.
Finn understood what Roger was going through. After he left his own Pack, Finn wondered about the state for a while. No destination in mind, wondering between the cities, just scavenging for supplies for himself and living each day the best he could. That was until he ran into humans who were in similar situations. All alone with nobody to depend on and desperate for companionship. Finn thought about leaving them alone, but something pulled at his heart. A faint memory of his time as a human, himself all alone. Finn couldn't stand the idea of leaving someone alone like that, so instead he offered to each of them. The ferret tossed the bag aside and lowered himself until he was able to lock eyes with the human, “Roger, would you like to join my Pack?"
“Wha," the human sniffled.
“I don't know where there might be other humans, or if there is any settlement nearby. But, I can offer you a home, a family. Me and my Pack. We take care of each other and help each other while we look for a place to call our own. So what do you say? Do you want to join-"
Before Finn could finish, Roger wrapped his arms around the ferret neck, “yes. Yes please let me join. I will do anything to join the Pack. Just please don't leave me alone!"
Finn rubbed Roger's back. “Alright, but there is a catch though."
“What is it?"
“You have to become a Beast."
“What?"
Finn placed Roger in front of him, “being a human among Beasts is very risky. Our musk has an effect on humans. Without some sort of protection against it, your senses dim, your mind goes fuzzy, and you will get incredibly horny. Over time you will be begging to be turned into a Beast and throwing yourself at us. That happened to the others before they joined my Pack. Even now, I can see that you are under the effect," Finn took a finger and ran it along the outline of Roger's cock.
Roger shuddered from the ferret's touch. It was just one finger, but the human squirmed as it ran the length. He needed more. He wanted more. “please," Roger whimpered, “please, turn me into a Beast."
“are you sure? I can leave and let you-"
“NO. I need this. I don't want to be alone anymore. If I have to throw away my humanity to just have someone, anyone, in my life again, I'll do it. So please, please change me."
“Alright," Finn leaned in before stopping himself, “you do know what we have to do right?"
Roger stopped for a moment. He knew how the Beasts changed people. The human saw the videos people posted online of people changing into Beasts. He knew once they started, there was no going back. For a moment, Roger hesitated. Could Roger just throw away his humanity like it was some unwanted thing? The human looked into the ferret's eyes and knew something. He could trust Finn. The long days of isolation were over. Leaning forward, the human connected his lips to the ferret's on a kiss.
The moment Finn's and Roger's lips touched, the ferret's musk got stronger. The strong smell caused the human to pull his head back and cough. But as more of the ferret's musk filled the human's lungs, the more Roger felt something stirred inside him. Something exciting.
The ferret grabbed Roger's head and pulled it in between his pecs, “that's it, just breathe it in," he whispered, a hand reaching for the human's pants. In a swift motion, Finn slid the human's sweatpants clear off of him.
As Roger breathed more of the musk, the more the human came to love it. No longer did it smell pungent to the human, instead taking more of a sweet smell, like a cologne. The human felt his blood rushed all over his body with every beat of his heart. This is it. I am becoming a Beast.
The human's cock, throbbing and leaking pre, quickly started to grow. It took little time to grow to the point where it was able to slap against Finn's round belly while keeping its normal shape. The human's testicles, originally the size of grapes, grew to the size of oranges. But it was not just the cock. The human's body also grew. No longer just an average built, the human grew to match the ferret's length. His arms and legs slowly gained mass, turning the human's average build into something that would require years of gym workouts to achieve. The shirt the human was wearing tore as it failed to contain the growth of the body.
All over Roger's body, brown fur quickly started to grow on the human's body, covering up signs of the human's hair. In a few places, like parts of his back and torso, spots of white fur grew instead. A ball of fluff grew just above the ass, turning into a little tail barely bigger than a finger. The human's shoes burst open as Roger's feet stretch and widen. Pink pads grew on Roger's finger, toes, and feet. The human's ears slowly swank and disappear in his head as a pair of long rabbit ears grow on the top of the head.
After what felt like hours, but in truth was just a couple of minutes, Roger stopped changing. The now giant beefy rabbit laid on the ferret. “I," Roger huffed out, “I didn't think transforming would be so."
“Fun?" Finn asked.
“Tiring, it feels like I ran a marathon." Roger adjusted himself on top of Finn till he felt something. Right on the bunny's buns, Finn's cock was erected. While it was big before, seeing it erect as it was almost breathtaking. Seeing the erect dick clicked something in Roger. While before, as a human, Roger was interested but somewhat scared of the massive dick. Now as a Bunny Beast, Roger felt the need for it inside him this very second. “hey Finn, can I-"
“Go right ahead," Finn chuckled, “We need to put your new body through its paces." The ferret smacked Roger's ass, not hard, but more in a teasing way.
Roger got to work adjusting himself again, this time for riding the ferret's cock. Roger could feel himself tremble with excitement over what was about to come. Roger didn't even think about prep or caution, just on a need that must be sated.
Finn's cock touched the rim of Roger's asshole. Roger only breathed in as he slid the cock inside him. Instead of pain, the bunny felt nothing but pleasure as he slid down the cock, letting out a loud moan as well. “fuck," Roger muttered.
“Yeah, feels good, doesn't it?" Finn asked.
“Fantastic," Roger said as he rose up and lowered himself on the cock. Each bounce on the ferret's cock was a new wave of pleasure Roger couldn't remember having before. The bunny bounced and bounced, filling his head with euphoria. His new body was built for taking dick, it was like a reason for being for Roger.
Finn looked up with a smile, satisfied with the face the new Beast was making. The ferret squeezed his nipple, shooting out a bit of milk from them.
Roger stared at the ferret's pecs as milk slowly made its way down the body. The rabbit leaned forward, bending over the ferret's round belly and placing the Finn's nipple in his mouth, sucking on it out of hunger. The rich creamy milk filled Roger's mouth slowly.
The Rabbit bounced on the cock harder. The store was filled with the sounds of plaps and moans. Roger could feel something building up inside him. Roger groaned as his cock erupted, blasting thick ropes of cum all over Finn's body.
“Fuck that so uuugggh," Finn lost control and came inside of Roger. The rabbit's hole filled with the ferret's cum.
Roger leaned back, breathing heavily as he felt something wet on his chest. As the bunny looked down, he saw milk leaking from his nips. His mind, no longer muddled by lust, pointed to his chest, “is this supposed to happen?"
“yep," Finn nodded, “seems normal to me. Now let me get a taste," the ferret sat up and licked the milk slowly dripping from Roger's pecs. “Mmm, yep, a nice creamy taste." Finn sucked on the nipple, but the milk quickly stopped.
“Dang," Roger muttered, “I was enjoying that."
“Don't worry, once the pregnancy goes along, you will be producing much more milk."
“I see, I just have," Roger's mind went blank as the word bounced in his head, “pregnancy?"
“Huh? Yeah. Apparently, we can get pregnant. I'm a couple months along, actually." Finn rubbed his round stomach. “Soon I will be too big to go out on supply runs. But I wanted to be useful while I still can."
Roger's mind went blank trying to process the information. Pregnancy? Milk from pecs? Something about those words felt odd to the rabbit, but he couldn't figure out what. Roger felt it was normal, but also not. Roger gasped, "the babies, are your babies okay?"
“Oh I think they're fine. I don't feel anything wrong with them. I don't think." Finn reached for his stomach. He didn't feel any pain, so they must be fine then. “So um, do you mind helping me get clean? The belly makes it a bit difficult."
“Oh sure."
The two Beast spent a moment cleaning themselves up. Neither one said a word to the other. Roger was preoccupied with his senses. Despite everything around him being familiar, it felt new to the bunny. Even the stuff he gathered before felt new and exciting. Once both were cleaned, Roger looked to the ferret, who was tossing aside the last of the wipes used. “so now what?"
“Now, we head home. I have to tell the others about this place," Finn said, trying to pull himself up to the ground with the help of some shelves.
“Home," Roger muttered as pulled Finn up to his feet and grabbed the duffel bag. “Let me carry this."
“Huh? You don't need to. I can carry my own stuff."
“Well yeah, but what if you drop it? Can you bend over with the belly you have?"
Finn gave an unamused glare, “not you too," he sighed. “Fine, you can carry the bag back. We need to be heading back, anyway."
“Is something happening?"
“It's almost lunch, we usually eat together. Once we are back, I'll introduce you to the others."
Roger felt overjoyed. Before, home was just a place. Dark, empty, lonesome. But now it felt different. He wasn't alone anymore. He was a Beast. He had a Pack now. A family. The days of isolation are over. From now on, Roger will survive with his family.
