CURRENT | PART TWO | PART THREE
Though he didn't want to admit it, Jaeron was... frightened.
Easy enough to see why, with the way the darkness seemed to writhe around him; something about the ruins were unnatural, almost haunted. There had been reports of erratic bursts of magical activity in the area - spikes of energy that coincided with all scrying spells that monitored the area abruptly failing. Alarming signs, to say the least, but not severe enough to send a more experienced mage out to identify the cause.
Instead, they sent out a young knight. One of the newer recruits, no less. There were reports of similar strange events all around the globe, many of them far greater in severity. Mages were few and far between, and had been spread thin investigating the strange new events - so much so that they had been forced to begin sending out knights.
The knights, as it turned out, were far less disciplined than the mages. They hadn't been needed for a long time, not since spellcasters had properly come into power; these days, they were there more for the sake of appearance than actual protection. When the order came in for them to send out a knight, they didn't bother picking someone they thought could handle it. Each of them handed off the responsibility, pushing it further down the chain until...
Well, until Jaeron had ended up with the job.
That explained why he was out in the middle of nowhere. His mount had refused to proceed any further, once he'd gotten close enough; the knight had been forced to leave it behind, travelling the rest of the way on foot. The closer he got, the more the vegetation around him thickened; he caught flickering movements out of the corner of his eye, almost as if the plants were moving...
But that wasn't possible, surely.
The ruined building loomed before him. Strange, archaic runes were carved into the pillars and scattered stone; the darkness within almost seemed to ooze, pulsing and throbbing. Some deeper instinct within Jaeron told him of the danger, told him to run. He was a knight, however, and knights could not afford to be cowardly.
It had been his dream when he was young, and just because knights were now just for show didn't mean he couldn't still live up to his childhood ideal. Strong, noble, brave. That was the man he wanted to be.
So Jaeron stepped in, wincing slightly as the darkness almost seemed to press against him. It was strange how quickly the light dropped off; there should have been a dim glow, at least, from sunlight filtering in...
But there was nothing. A few feet in, and the darkness was pitch black. It made his eyes ache as he stared into its depths; he shook his head, blinking it off.
A plan. He needed a solution. There was no way he could move in the darkness like this, not without a torch - but the darkness didn't seem natural, and something told him any natural light would simply be extinguished if he brought it in. No, he needed magic to dispel magic.
A thought struck Jaeron. He fumbled, for a moment, for a talisman he kept around his neck. It was an heirloom - a small rune engraved into a rock, made to dispel simple wards and keep him protected.
Maybe, just maybe, if he pushed in the little bit of mana he could command...
He concentrated, searched for that blazing energy within him. All men had the power; mages were simply the only ones who could direct it, control it. He had a tiny, minute ability, so small he'd never bothered to tell anyone about it - but if there was any chance he could use it now, save himself from a shameful return, he would use it.
A small spark of pure blue mana jumped out from his gauntleted finger. It spun in the air for a moment, as though confused - then leapt into the talisman he held up.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then the rock glowed, almost blindingly bright. The darkness seemed to struggle against it, fighting to keep Jaeron from being able to see. It looked to be winning, even; any light the rune shed was almost immediately absorbed - but then the magic rippled, pulsing outwards like a shockwave, and Jaeron could almost swear he heard a scream as the darkness suddenly receded.
The young knight placed the talisman back around his neck, a faint smile on his face. He'd almost dismissed the gift as useless, back when his father had first given it to him - but Jaeron had chosen to keep it as a memento when he'd left to join the knights. Jaeron had never seen his father again, but...
It seemed he was still protecting him, even now.
Jaeron shook his head, laughing weakly. "Gods be damned, dad," he muttered, speaking into the air. He blinked a few times, chasing the moisture from his eyes. "Guess I still need you after all this time, huh?"
The young knight glanced around at the ruined building, now faintly lit by thin threads of sunlight seeping through broken walls. It was... breathtaking, actually; sculptures had been carved into the stone, worn down over time but no less beautiful. Intricate figures dancing, symbols of their kingdom...
Jaeron ran his fingers along the cracked stone of an archway, admiring the handiwork of an obviously skilled craftsman.
"I suppose even in darkness there can be beauty." Jaeron smiled, feeling a little better about things. "Right, then. Time to find out what was causing the mages to freak out. Maybe I can even get a promotion out of this..."
A little lighter in both heart and mind, Jaeron set off to explore. He never quite considered why the place always seemed lit, no matter how deep he went. There was no more sunlight seeping through the cracks. Solid walls and pillars surrounded him, and yet... everything was evenly lit. If he'd been observant, he would have noticed the lack of shadows - but the knight hadn't received the training he should have had, and so he didn't.
In fact, despite the ancient beauty of the place, nothing really caught Jaeron's eye. He wandered instead - aimlessly, he thought, but in truth guided by an unseen presence. Shadowy fingers danced along his spine, nudging him subtly and whispering into his mind...
Until he found himself in a brightly lit room, at a sharp contrast with the dim light in the rest of the ruins. Try as he might, he saw no source for the light; it looked more as though everything was washed out, had the darkness drained from them.
What could have been beautiful detail became instead strange, and Jaeron blinked a few times, not quite certain if he was seeing things correctly. He'd been able to tell himself it was just a trick of the light when it was still dim, but here - here, it was different.
Four pillars supported the room, each carved with strange symbols that Jaeron knew nothing about. They seemed to be in a different tongue entirely - in fact, as he looked, the shapes almost seemed to press themselves into his mind. It would have hurt, if he hadn't quickly blinked and look away.
He turned his gaze instead to the object on the pedestal in the center of the room. Unlike everything else in the chamber, something about it seemed to draw his gaze towards it - yet it was as unassuming as everything else in this place. A small stone square, with yet another rune that was painfully difficult to look at...
Though now that he looked more carefully, it seemed almost similar to the one that had been inscribed on his pendant. It wasn't exactly the same, but perhaps it had been designed to allow mana to flow into it?
Against his better judgement, Jaeron stepped up to the artifact. Taking a deep breath, he focused again, reaching for that energy deep within him. It was a little easier to draw it out, this time. The spark of magic practically threw itself from his hand and into the tablet, fizzling out as it touched the stone...
Nothing happened.
Jaeron sighed. He should have expected as much. He turned to go away, intending to find another way through the ruins - and as he did, he heard it shatter. The sound was quite unlike anything he had heard before, more a rending of reality than the simple cracking of stone. It froze him in place -
And darkness rose around him.
It was at that moment that Jaeron realised precisely what had happened - that his ward had not chased away or destroyed the darkness at all. No, the darkness had retreated; it was why everything had looked so strange, washed out in spite of the lack of light. There wasn't any light. Somehow, defying everything he understood about the world, it had acted as a physical entity and moved.
And the hiding place it had chosen was, of course, the stone tablet that he had broken by so foolishly filling it with his mana. He'd freed it, and it writhed in its ecstasy, moving and pulsing in strange ways that were almost impossible to see.
The shadows somehow flickered, not so much with light as with an absence of darkness. It reached out to him, and those shadowy whispers at the back of his mind, the influence of a small piece of shadow that had hidden in his armor...
It told him to reach back.
It took only seconds for the foreign magic to ensnare him. It grabbed ahold of his hands and feet, not giving him a moment to struggle; the shadows formed strangely solid tendrils that somehow managed to shred the steel of his armor like it was mere parchment.
In moments, he was exposed, shivering above the ground; in seconds after that, even the little fabric he wore beneath his armor had been banished, exposing the human's muscled form. The darkness felt oddly warm against him, a squirming presence that made his face flush with a strange heat -
Am I really thinking about this right now? Jaeron thought incredulously. Focus, Jaeron, you're being attacked - this isn't some lady trying to woo you into bed!
But try as he might, he simply couldn't. There was something about the way the shadows touched him; it wasn't aggressive, didn't even feel dangerous. It kept him bound, but it seemed strangely gentle, teasing along his body rather than simply taking what it wanted.
He couldn't imagine why. He didn't even know what it was this strange power wanted, but -
I want you.
The voice was dark and ominous, whispered in his mind while the shadows continued to ripple against him. He froze, forgetting his strange, growing arousal for the moment and calling out instead. "Who's there?"
Oh, no one important. A strange laugh that reverberated in Jaeron's mind, flicking its way through his thoughts. Just another trapped demon, looking for a way out...
A demon. Jaeron's mind froze for a moment before his struggles became all the more panicked; he wrenched at the darkness, though he might as well have been pulling against chains of steel for all the good it did him. "I will not help a demon," he growled softly.
I'm afraid I'm not giving you much of a choice. The demon seemed amused, if anything. My name is Deyx, but you may call me master.
"Never." Jaeron's voice was firm, full of conviction, though his eyes were panicked and with a hint of fear. "I am not so easy to break, demon."
Do you think I would have told you my name had I even a chance of losing? Another laugh, one that made Jaeron shiver in response. A dark tentacle teased gently along the bottom of his balls, snaking up his cock and wrapping around the flaccid shaft. You've already lost. Your mind simply hasn't caught up yet.
"I have protection." The talisman was still wrapped around his neck, and he prepared to feed mana into it, blast the darkness away once more. All he needed was a moment's freedom for his hand. "You can't get me through it."
This little thing? Deyx seemed almost offended, or at least pushed an air of offense into his voice. You don't know what it really means, do you?
Jaeron shook his head, frowned. "Do not think to trick me, demon. This was given to me by my father. It is a symbol of holiness, of righteous virtue."
And it is written in the tongue of ancients. There was a smug sort of smirk in the demon's voice. I cannot take it away from you, knight, but there is one thing I can do.
"And what might that be?" Jaeron's voice was brave, but his heart trembled; he had hoped the amulet would be enough to taint the demon's confidence. If anything, he seemed more amused than ever - but he couldn't quite work out why, not with the way the shadows writhed around him and tried to please his body.
He wasn't aroused, not quite - not in such a dire situation. But it was a close thing, when the touches were so strangely sensual.
One tendril of shadow struck, sudden and violent, spearing towards his heart. Jaeron flinched, thinking that the demon had decided to end him - but he opened his eyes to realise instead that it had carved itself into his amulet. It was flickering and faint, as though it took all the demon's power to maintain it, but slowly and surely...
It was altering the rune.
Did you know, the demon spoke, his voice lazy and unconcerned. That the word for 'protection' in the ancient tongue is almost identical to the word for 'lust'?
A tendril of shadow pressed itself against the reshaped amulet. He felt a shift, a distortion in the world as demonic magic poured into the rune. It seemed to somehow warp around him, twisting his vision and his mind until he was left panting; he wasn't even sure for what, except that there was now a need aching deep within him, a lust that he hadn't felt before.
But he would not be a knight if he did not have greater mental resilience - and indeed, he didn't fall. He stood strong, gritting his teeth to prevent the moan of pleasure from escaping his lips as the darkness stroked along his cock, caressed the bare curves of his ass. "That... will not be enough... to break me, demon."
"Of course not." The voice was no longer speaking from within his mind; instead, it was a startlingly familiar tone that seemed to be right in front of him. Jaeron jerked his head up, his eyes widening at the vision before him, and he hissed in a mixture of anger and shame.
"Do not use the image of my father for your own purposes, demon," he growled. He felt his fists clenching, but still there was nothing he could do to break free - even less so now that the talisman he had been gifted was working against him.
"I think you're not in any position to make demands." The demon spoke through his father's visage. Jaeron felt the lust coursing through his veins, and he noticed things he'd never noticed before about the man - his handsome, chiseled face, the muscles that were only barely hidden by his shirt... They were thick, pressing against the fabric.
His father had always been an exceptional man, and he abruptly recalled watching his father fight - the way his muscles moved as he shifted from stance to stance, the sword dancing in his hands. Jaeron swallowed, feeling his cock starting to rise, growing hard. But... it was his own father he was looking at. This wasn't right. This was the demon...
"Would you like to know how to break a man, son?" Deyx smiled down pleasantly at the human, using the face of Jaeron's father. He liked watching the knight squirm, liked the desperate denial in his eyes as his arousal at the sight of his own father began to grow. "You start by tearing away what's closest to them. In your case, it's your father. You've always looked up to him, haven't you?"
Jaeron didn't need to answer. He couldn't answer, even if he'd wanted to; it was taking all his focus not to let his mind run wild with his lust. He saw the growl on his father's face as he fought, and imagined it twisted in sexual ecstasy as he was shoved back against the wall and fucked.
The tentacles that wrapped around him almost seemed to aid him in the fantasy; they coiled around his body like he was being held down, one slipping between the cheeks of his ass and teasing his hole with a warm, throbbing probe. It took so much effort to resist, and the confident little smirk on the demon's face - on his father's face - wasn't helping.
"That admiration you've always felt for your father?" Deyx chuckled, folding arms across his chest. Jaeron couldn't help but let his eyes follow the bulge in the man's pants; it was large, and he couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like buried deep inside him...
No. Not my thoughts. This is the demon manipulating me - I have to resist...
"I'm going to twist it." The demon continued. If not for the glint of amusement in his eyes, Jaeron might have thought that he wasn't aware of the thoughts that had run through his head. "I'll turn your admiration into lust, your love into a burning need. Where you once only wanted to see him again, you will now ache to be fucked by him, to be filled with his seed."
It was his father's face saying all this. He saw the man rub gently at the bulge in his pants, saw the perverse leer on the man's lips as he spoke casually about fucking his son. He hated the way his cock was reacting; he was harder beyond reason, the darkness rubbing up and down his shaft, teasing, caressing...
And he felt one pressing against his hole, just the size and thickness he imagined his father's cock would be. He let out a small moan, barely managing to hold it back.
Deyx, of course, heard it anyway.
"It's already happening, isn't it?" The demon chuckled. "You're becoming a little slut for your own father. And that's just the first stage - I have so much more in store for you... If you're going to be a proper minion for me, I'm going to need you to fit my tastes. Right now, you're just a little too noble, hm? A little too... human."
A smirk - dark, deep and terrible, and Jaeron shivered in a mixture of fear and arousal. The demon spoke again, three words that changed it all. "Let's change that."
The writhing presence at his ass thrust in suddenly, abruptly stretching his hole wide and filling him; Jaeron's mind immediately filled with images of his father fucking him, brutally using him whenever and wherever he pleased.
The tentacles stroked eagerly up and down his rigid shaft, bringing the knight closer and closer to his release. It was so intense, and the waves of lust radiating from his talisman didn't help; the smallest stroke felt like he burned with a need for release...
Then the tendril shoving itself in and out of him, pounding him just like his father would, filling him with need and desire - it jammed itself into him, flooding him with slime and magic. Jaeron arched his back, for the first time letting loose an unrestrained cry of pleasure and lust.
He felt his seed spurt out of his cock and into the air, splattering against the floor and the image of his father. Deyx smirked at him, wearing his father's smirk as he licked off the cum. Jaeron moaned softly, unable to think. It was so very, very hot, to see his father like that...
The shadow abruptly detached, and he felt it connect with his spine, shifting upwards along his vertebrae to make space for his hole.
He had a tail now.
It was sensitive - long and slender, save for the barbs that grew on the very tip. It was meant to be a weapon, he knew, but he could feel the air as it moved along the skin - it was so strange, so different, yet...
Jaeron almost felt like he liked it.
"What are you doing to me?" The knight stared up at the image before him. It was no longer that of his father; rather, it was the image of a demon, but it shifted, changing rapidly; he couldn't quite get a glimpse of what the demon lord looked like beyond regal looking wings, large, spiralling horns, and a cock that -
- ached to be sucked.
And a cock that ached to be sucked. Jaeron froze, his eyes narrowing at the demon, who simply smirked back at him.
"Did you think yourself free from my intrusions, now that you can see me? I am still within your mind, Jaeron, merely speaking to you through an illusion." Deyx chuckled. "The shadows, however, are very real..."
He could feel it, too. They didn't seem remotely satisfied by his orgasm; if anything, they were all the more enthusiastic for it. Another tendril moved in to replace the one that had been stuffing his ass, shoving itself into his loosened hole without much trouble; yet move snuck over his arms and legs, shoved themselves into his mouth and wrapped around his cock...
"You gave in," the demon whispered. "You came to me, to the thoughts I fed you. Each time you do, I own a little more of you."
The shadows stroked again. This time they split into smaller little tendrils, each running individually up and down the length of his shaft; the knight groaned, this time, a little less able to keep back his pleasure. He thrust his hips into the darkness, biting his lip, and Deyx smiled at the sight.
Another piece of shadow wrapped itself around him, this time along his feet and legs; it stretched out, elongated and layered over itself to form plating and armor. There was a strange definition to it, what seemed like veins of darkness spreading over the chitin. His cock ached between his changing legs, throbbed as his feet altered themselves to match. They grew tougher, the nails sharpening into claws...
He felt powerful. Stronger. Jaeron tried hard not to think about how good that felt.
The shadows in his mouth began to move, slowly thrusting in and out of his mouth. They should have been insubstantial, shouldn't have tasted like anything at all. They didn't, even - but Jaeron still found himself bobbing his head up and down on it, sucking eagerly. He tried to stop, and wasn't sure if he wanted to.
"Perfect little slut," the demon said with a chuckle. A tendril of shadow stroked down his back, curling along his tail. "Perfect little pet. You will be mine, losing yourself with each and every orgasm..."
The tendrils pushing into his loosened hole abruptly widened, moving faster and faster; Jaeron groaned, moaning desperately. He tried to fight the mounting pleasure, but he could feel himself slipping, losing himself to the fantasies and the thoughts that the demon planted in his mind. What was once the idea of submitting to his father became the thought of submitting to all men, of letting himself be violated until his hole was weakened and leaking with cum.
He couldn't believe how much he desired it, how much he ached for it. It was wrong. It... should have been wrong.
But was it?
He came again, with a cry of pleasure as he sucked eagerly on the shadows in his mouth and shoved his back into the tentacles invading his ass. He was almost desperate for it now, almost wanted more; it was the final part of him that continued to resist... A small voice that told him that this was a demon, manipulating and controlling him.
A voice that was very close to being snuffed out entirely.
Tentacles ran along his chest and waist, slowly fading into the surface of his skin - marking him as the property of the demon. They were like claws that wrapped around him, and he felt a surge of foreign pride at the sight. He belonged to the demon, was marked by him, and that made arousal course through his system. "N-ngh..."
"Close to losing yourself, human?" The demon chuckled softly, his image wavering in the darkness. "You know that serving me is inevitable. Give in. See the pleasures that will unfold before you, and embrace them."
He wanted to. The shadows spread further up his waist, wrapping around his arms and forming into more armor; Jaeron moaned as he felt his power increase as the layers of chitin began to coalesce. The structure was almost bone-like, yet harder than steel; it curled around his fingers and hardened into an almost skeletal hand.
Jaeron knew without a doubt that he could easily rip a door off its hinges as he was right now, likely without even trying.
The shadows hovered near his head. There was one final transformation to go, one last piece left. Deyx just needed to break the final part of him, get him to cum one more time, and he would belong to the demon.
It was easy.
Jaeron was so far gone that it took barely any effort; the tendrils released him onto the ground, and rather than run, the half-transformed human instead grabbed onto his dick with a groan. He stroked frantically, one hand jerking up and down his shaft, the other shoving his fingers into his eager passage. Shadows poured into his mouth, and he sucked and swallowed eagerly - like a true minion, a proper pet.
"Give in," Deyx whispered. Jaeron shuddered.
"I...."
"You want to be a demon, don't you? Free to take your pleasures wherever you please, to fuck or be fucked." The shadows in his mouth changed, and for a moment he was granted a vision of ordering the men of the city around - forcing them to suck him off, fucking them deep and making them beg for his cock. He loved it, and his cock throbbed all the harder for it.
"Y... yes..."
"Then cum." Deyx's voice was a deceptive whisper - but cum he did, Jaeron jerking down against the floor as the final bits of shadow wrapped around his head, solidifying into horns and a mask. It was a part of him, now, not just mere power. He felt the demonic energy coursing through his body.
His seed splattered onto his chest, and this time Jaeron didn't hesitate to lick it up, gathering it with a clawed finger and moaning at the taste. He bowed to the image of the demon before him, his cock still hard and aching, leaking precum onto the floor.
"I belong to you, my lord." Jaeron spoke. "What is your command?"
"I am, alas, still trapped within my cage - but not for much longer, thanks to you, my loyal pet." Deyx smiled. "Go forth. Find your commander, and turn him to our cause. We will need allies in the days to come."
Jaeron shuddered as the image of the demon faded away. He grasped his new, leaking cock, giving it a slow stroke as he began to make his way out of the ruins. Slowly, a smile spread across his face.
The commander, eh? He did look good... And he'd look even better, as a demon.
