Hello, all, and welcome back to the conclusion of Daniel's storyline introduction!

At this time we have introduced Kon, a very forward Fox spirit, Herne, a paragon of the male sex, and Talapus, an obviously playful rule-stretching Coyote. As you may well know, this is not the entirety of the cast. There are no votes for this week but now is the opportunity for readers to earn bonus points for Daniel and/or the spirit(s) of your choices! Contributions can be made in the form of artwork, prose, poetry, written contributions, song selections, sonnets, or offerings of any sorts. For each such contribution you may select a character of your choice and provide a bonus which may help (or in some cases hinder) a good ending. Be sure to post those over on FA's post of this story!

Contributions will be accepted through midnight (pacific time) on Sunday, February 25th.

Questions, comments, contributions, exclamations, quandaries, and all that good stuff is now welcome!

Daniel's Intro, Part 4

The Coyote raised a paw even as he stared at the television; whatever show he'd been watching had come back on. "I'm Talapus, by the way... and that one site you visit with that artist who draws us in 'that way you like'? Yeah... she doesn't draw us big enough... just saying."

It was quite a statement for him to throw out there, and I asked Talapus to prove it. No, I wasn't so blunt about it as to say "Hey! Whip it out and we'll compare notes." Nah-- I was more subtle than that. "Really? How do you know?"

What threw me for a loop when he grinned, resting his paw on his lap before saying "I've whipped it out before to compare notes."

The close comparison between what I'd been thinking and what he said wasn't lost to me, and I resolved to be a little more careful in the future when it came to letting my mind wander... just in case. I leaned against the wall-- before I realized there wasn't a wall there, and almost stumbled into the fridge before I regained my balance.

I was steadied by the firm grip of two very manly hands. Herne withdrew his support and I stood on my own, only to be assaulted by his judgmental statement. "Unless you have been drinking there is no cause for such instability."

I immediately defended my stupidity. "I tripped is all."

Kon didn't even miss a step. "Sure-- over your own tongue."

Being set upon from both the Fox and the Elk didn't make it easy to keep my composure, but I stepped away from them and approached the Coyote. To be honest, the thought of three such handsome spirits in my apartment was almost enough to help me forget any sense of self-respect, but there's a difference between 'completely' and 'almost'. Playing cool was a lost cause, but at least I was confident that I'd be able to avoid coming across as a desperate cock-chaser. I wasn't a cock-chaser, after all, so it was important to avoid giving the wrong vibe. I was about to try leaning again but I thought better of it and crossed my arms over my chest instead. "So you've looked over my internet history, huh? What about it?"

A predatory grin spread across the Coyote's muzzle and the glint in his eye made me well aware that there was humor to be had at my expense. He leaned forward, one eyebrow raised as he spoke quietly in an almost conspiratory tone. "It makes me wonder if you might be a desperate cock-chaser."

That confirmed my deepest worries; he somehow had an idea of what I was thinking. It seemed like a strange, almost impossible thing to consider but, then again, so were spirits-- hot, sexy, man-animal spirits... one of which had been all around my apartment and had the indecency to look at my web browser history. Okay, I realized, I wouldn't be able to play it cool and I wasn't about to avoid getting out of the discussion without at least some concessions, but I wasn't ready to go on the full defensive. "And what does that say about you considering YOU'RE the one who brought it up in discussion?"

My offense didn't go so well; his smile widened and he licked his black lips. "Maybe it's saying that I'm looking for a desperate cock-chaser."

Herne let out a displeased snort from where he'd wandered to in the kitchen. "Do not torment the human, Talapus. He is still new to the--"

I felt tingle go up my spine as a soft-as-silk paw pad slid around my forearm and, before I knew it, Kon was leaning against me, his build was just a little thinner and wiry than mine. I'm hardly the most filled out buff guy you've seen, but there was still enough of a spread between my body structure and 'girly' that the Fox still had a masculine nature to his svelte frame. "Yeah, Yote-- you're also assuming that he wants to be the hole rather than the bone that gets buried."

Based on the firm bulge pressed up against my thigh I could tell that Kon wasn't specifically suggesting that he wanted to be the hole either, but the feel of his tail brush against the small of my back made it hard to concentrate on any specific topic for more than a heartbeat. Talapus, however, regained my full attention the moment he turned away from me and his bathrobe fell to the floor, revealing the firm, sculpted muscle of someone who was both physically fit, and athletically toned; his tail emerged from two finely formed ass cheeks that would have made my nose bleed had I been an anime character.

Right as the Coyote was about to speak up, Herne let out what almost sounded like some kind of screech. It took me a moment to remember having heard it on a nature documentary; it was an Elk call. The self proclaimed 'huntsman' was leaning against the fridge, which, even at an angle, he beat out in height. Still completely naked, the Elk didn't have to try to get my attention, holding my gaze without posing or pressing himself up against me. Regardless, or perhaps because of my interest, he didn't seem the least interested in showing off, rather, he stated simply "Daniel, you are surrounded by two spirits who are vastly more interested in just physical pleasure, and you have no idea of what it means for you."

My first inclination was to respond with the fact that whatever more they were interested in didn't matter, but, as I locked gazes with him I felt like I was a stupid little kid for even thinking it, let alone being almost willing to say it. I almost fell back into myself socially; I've never been a major extrovert, but I'm a far cry from an introvert-- well, any more than an average awkward teen. In that moment, though, I felt out of my depth with Herne and, as I realized that, wondered just how far I'd been drowning when it came to the other two.

Talapus didn't seem too pleased with the interjection. The bathrobe was gone, but some kind of waist wrap that looked like a cloth diaper held up by a leather cord had somehow appeared to cover his goods by the time I'd returned my gaze to him. "Perhaps when there's a better time I'll show you later."

Even though I'd pretty much been dismissed by the Coyote I couldn't help but stare at the obvious bulge in that cloth; 'Oh my god!' I remembered thinking. 'That IS bigger.'.

To my side, Kon's thin muzzle brushed up against my ear. "There's a difference between a neutered canine and one that gets to develop, Hiro... but don't count out vulpines. We're... flexible."

It was hard to tell if Kon meant that in a physical flexibility sense or an open-minded or moral one, but I felt his tongue lick my earlobe as his paw caressed my abdomen through my shirt as if my clothes weren't even there. That ended the moment Herne's deep baritone intoned a single word. "Stop."

The room shook faintly with the word but, more than that, a power that accompanied it. Talapus fell back onto the sofa and Kon looked as though he'd been physically knocked away from me by a shockwave. Myself, I only felt a strange stirring in the room as if some really powerful industrial strength HVAC system had shut on, but it didn't feel cold, or hot, or anything other than a strange sense of movement... of power. I turned to look at the Elk, realizing only after I tried that my feet didn't leave the ground where they were stuck.

Herne stepped closer to me, stopping so close I could reach out with a bent elbow to touch him; I didn't try, too cowed in place as he stared down at me with softly glowing Emerald eyes. His next words bit into me in a way that nothing either the Fox nor the Coyote had managed. "A man rules over his urges, Daniel, but a boy is ruled by them."

I had a hard time countering his argument; he spoke with the certainty of an oracle-- a god of masculinity; an Adonis; a paragon of all that was... SOOO perfect. "I--"

From his spot on the couch, Talapus stated "He's hardly perfect, Daniel. He's just getting in your head and trying to--"

"Silence."

The simple request carried with it a booming echo and another wave of power; Herne was in charge, and it was intimidating in every way that was what it should have been. I found myself trembling, quivering, and weak in the knees... and not JUTS from fear. "How-- how are you doing that?"

The Elk's attention left the Coyote and returned to me; I saw his eyes gleaming still. "It is not easy, Daniel... this kind of power takes a large amount of energy and I mine is not limitless. But you are new to this, and boundaries must be set."

The sound of a 'thunk' from to the side pulled my attention to where Kon had been thrown against the wall; the Fox was gone. A moment later I heard the sound of flesh-hitting-flesh, and I turned once more to see Kon latched onto Herne's back, his arm wrapped around the Elk's neck. A moment later, Kon was on the ground and Herne's hoof was resting on his chest. The Fox looked up, tail tucked, ears down. He offered a sheepish grin. "Just...uh... testing. You pass."

A strange sense of stillness left the room, as if someone had opened a window in a house that had been closed up. Talapus finally relaxed into the sofa as Herne removed his hoof from Kon's chest. The Elk grabbed the Fox by his scruff and hoisted him to a standing position before declaring to both of the others "I propose an Accord."

I saw both Kon and Talapus make a sour face, and, in the silence, I was provided more than enough time to provide a little bit of clarification. "My car's in the shop, and it's a Civic, not an Accord."

It was already late at night, but I apparently had a lot to learn; it was almost three A.M. by the time they let me go to sleep, and only on the condition that I accept an agreement between the three of them and myself that none of them could interact with me physically or in any way sexually. In return, I couldn't ask that of them either-- until the full moon. It was a sobering experience, especially since the full moon had been two nights prior. Did I really have to wait almost four weeks to see if these three sexy animal-man spirits could live up to the hype?

The answer was no; I'd have to wait to see if FOUR sexy animal-men spirits could, but I didn't actually meet the fourth until the next day. His name was Aiden. He was a Bat. He was a vampire; not just a vampire-- a FUCKING vampire... or so I'd hoped.
