I slept-in, really late for what I'm use to. Most days we open at 10 AM. but today we are closed due to a Holiday so I slept until 12 PM.

I open my eyes and see Gena still asleep next to me. Somehow I managed to slip-out of the bed and get dressed without waking her. I don't bother taming my wild fur today and just go outside.

I feed the chickens and ostriches than load a wheelbarrel full of cement bags than get the cement mixer ready. I hook it to the pick-up truck, toss some buckets into the back and move it all the way over to the river.

I decide to not wake Gena and work on the pond alone. I put boards around the chicken wire to stop the cement from flowing out from where I need the walls, the only places that wont have cement walls is where the wire crosses the stream.

I un-hook the cement mixer from the pick-up and take the buckets out. I drive off and get some more buckets that I fill with gravel from where I dug the river out. I start mixing the cement, putting the cement powder in the mixer. I than filled some of the empty buckets with water and put that in the mixer. I turn the mixer on and add gravel as needed.

After the cement is mixed thoroughly I pore it in the buckets and pore that in the wall molds. I keep doing this until the molds are full.

I drive the cement mixer and buckets back and using the pressure-washer to wash all of the left-over cement out of the mixer.

I finished cleaning the cement mixer and went back to the lab. I took the incubating cassowary eggs and ran a x-ray on them, they are developing as I want them to, they have tails and arms with claws. They are still too young to tell for sure that the teeth worked, but I'm sure they did.

I walked into the bedroom and Gena was on laptop, she closed the screen when I walked in. "good morning" she said.

I responded "good morning"

She put the laptop back and said "I have a quick question to ask"

I said "ask away" and try to think about what she might ask.

"how... no, where do you get the electricity for all of this stuff?"

I walk towards the door and say "you best follow me" and lead her out. I walk to the stream where I made the duck pond than walked up-stream from that. The stream slowly turns away from the park than connects to a much larger river, probably 50 foot across and white rapids all the way.

We walk up-stream even farther, the river makes a sharp turn. We push trough the final trees and come to a massive dam. The dam is 50 feet high with three steady streams of water on the shallow side and with a elevator on the side we are on.

We get in the elevator and go to the top of the dam. I turn to the side with deep water on it. I said "the water builds-up here" I point down "goes trough one of the three turbines" than turned to face the side with rapids "and runs out into the river bed"

We walked to the middle of the dam and Gena asked "can we go in the dam?"

I shook my head, "sorry" I said "I'm only aloud in under official business... cant be getting in the crews way" Gena nodded.

We went back to the park and fed the dinosaurs, we did very little else that day. But just before bed, a investor called.

He said "uh... Hi, Jake. This is one of your investors. uh... Lukas"

"whats up Lukas?" I asked.

"just thought you would like to know that we have assembled a team of four genetic scientist" he said "uh... we can have them there tomorrow. uh... and your ducks and eggs have arrived here with us, early... we will send them with the geneticist tomorrow an hour before the first boat... okay?"

I nodded and said "thats awesome man!!!"

"Alright" he said "thats it, bye"

"bye" I said and hung-up.

Me and Gena lid-down and I said "we got the geneticist team lined-up"

"cool" she said

"they will be here one hour before the first boat... so I wont bother waking you, okay?" Gena nodded and we went to sleep.

I woke up and got dressed without waking Gena, I walked out onto the dock and saw the large boat only a hundred feet of so away.

It slowly pulled-up along the dock and lowered a ramp, the four geneticist walked off.

A seal pushing a hand trolley with two large crates and one smaller one, he passed me a clipboard and said "sign here" I did, he gave me the trolly and said "enjoy" and got on the boat. the ramp pulled-up and the boat pulled-away.

Pushing the trolley back to the lab. "I'm Jake, what are your names?" I asked

A person said "I am Max"

A badger said "I'm Ralph"

Another person said "uh... I'm Gorge"

and a lion that I can easaly tell is female said "and I am Alexa"

"Nice to meet you Max, Ralph, Gorge and Alexa" I said

I never noticed until now, but they are all pushing there own trollyes, likely loaded with stuff to de-code DNA and clone animals.

We got to the lab, I pointed out the eggs, and said "feel free to put what you want where you want or need... just watch-out for these eggs!"

They started to put the stuff away. I looked at the two larger crates, one said "male red-breasted merganser, clipped wings" the other said "female red-breasted merganser, clipped wings" and the smaller crate said "two red-breasted merganser eggs... fertilized"

I pushed the trolley with the two merganser crates on it to the pond. I carefully opened the males crate and carefuly picked him up than tossed him into the water, I did the same with the female. I than left them to get used to the pond.

I got back to the lab and said "now I get to have some fun!" while taking the eggs out of the crate
