TG - Chapter One
Chapter One in my new Series set on the Continuing World of Terra (An alternate universe version of Earth where humans evolved into Energy Beings and Animals became sentient and created their own society after the humans left the planet).
Chapter 1
Arden, a skittish looking orange fox stepped off the train as it pulled into the station. He seemed somewhat shy as he pulled his large purple suitcase from the train onto the station platform.
This was the city that he had dreamt about for so long. He had always wanted to see the towering skyscrapers, the essence of what Terra had become. He remembered how he spent most of his time at school, sleeping, but the only real class he paid attention to was geography. He had always been interested in other places, other countries, other climates. He had hoped one day to explore them all.
He knew that his parents would worry but he was eighteen now, he felt he had gained enough experience in his home town and was ready to take the dive into the big city itself. He was terribly enamored with the idea of the exciting adventure that awaited him.
What he had enrolled in, however, was the Terran Star Academy, where he would not only explore other places on Terra but throughout the entire universe.
Terra was currently enjoying a golden age of space exploration. With the discovery of faster-than-light travel, Terra was able to expand and grow and in a little over a hundred years, had managed to build a vast, powerful alliance with other worlds, called the Terran Star Alliance.
Arden had high hopes after passing his entrance exam back in his small home town of Littlethorne, on the edge of the border with Porta Athena.
He rolled his suitcase down the platform, to the large red doors on the other side of the platfom which led to the exit, out into the docks. He felt a cool ocean breeze as he stepped outside, the station was built inside a ferry terminal and was right on the water. Dark blue waters churned around the pier.
He looked behind him and saw the skyline of the city, rows of large, tall buildings, all close together with bridges connecting between them, like they have been planted there. These towers dominated the skyline of the city which was built onto a rather small island. The entire city had shoot upwards and had become known as a "vertical city" with many of the black towers extending so far, that Arden could not see the top.
In the sky was the occasional shuttles, drones and other devices, all wizzing over his head.
He had never seen anything like it... but he had no idea where he was going to go.
The story that he told everyone was slipping away as he stood there, faced with his destiny.
There was never going to be any future as a famous starship commander, like the ones he had read about and had seen on holovision. Only he knew the truth about his past here...
His father had been a drunk that had beat him as a child and occasionally stubbed cigarettes out his fur when he had got too close. His mother had run a Corporate Banking Consortium and had never actually been there from the start. It was pretty certain that his mother had made a drunken mistake, her only weakness one evening and woke up with his father beside her.
However his mother had a sense of duty, a sense of honor that she, her son and the father of her child would live in harmony. Harmony meant as much money as possible and since her husband had not worked a day in his life, he would stay at home with the children while she went out to work.
Although there had been several saving graces for Arden, he had been lucky to have been going to a good school and had grown up with a good wholesome education. However even this was somewhat unimportant from the bigger crisis at home. The arguments that his mother and father had were unbearable sometime and by far affected him so much more then the bullying at school.
He had devoted his life to a singular purpose, he wanted to get as far away from this wretched planet as he could.
"I'm gonna make it here!" he thought, as he pulled his suitcase outside, into the mild late summer sun. "Chentrilla is massive!"
He watched the land traffic on the roads in the shadows of the massive towers, as they waved in and out. He felt as if he had forgotten something...
"Oh god!" he thought in horror as a family moved past him and up towards the taxi rank outside the station.
He started patting himself down, he couldn't believe he had been so stupid!
He finally pulled out his small, black mobile phone and tapped the screen to check the time. He was hugely relieved as the little animated clock revealed that he had a whole hour before his assigned check in with the new recruits at the Academy.
The Academy Administration Block was about ten minutes away on the city service. Most of the actual academy was with the 450th Level Plaza of Vulpis Tower, the largest of all of Chentrilla's megalithic skyscrapers.
He had more than enough time to make it there if he got a taxi.
He put his phone back into the pocket of his black denim jeans, unaware of how his wallet had been hanging off the edge of his pocket and with a swoop of his paw, he had managed to knock it down onto the street as he walked away.
He approached one of the taxi's, one with a rather bad tempered bear sat in the front, one hand out the window with a lit cigarette, despite all the "No Smoking" in the taxi rank itself. The bear was listening to what Arden could only describe as "music, his dad would listen to".
He looked up from the newspaper on his lap to face the nervous little orange fox that approached his window. He gave a puff on the cigarette before flicking it down the side of the black coloured taxi.
There was an uncomfortable silence of just a few moments as the cab driver, peered at the small orange fox with his large yellow eyes. He was surprised, orange foxes were not common to this city. They were usually associated to rural areas.
"Eh yeah... I'd like a lift to the... eh... Academy Admin Block" He said, the quick "strong" image he wanted to put on for the Big City was soon to be falling away as the bear folded his newspaper and pressed a few buttons on his meter.
"That'll be ten nighty" he bellowed in a strong and older voice. Arden was somewhat embarrassed, his voice was small and meek compared to him and he felt intimidated just in his presence. He considered for a moment, maybe getting another taxi with a less rude driver?
"No!" he told himself. "I need to stand up to myself, that guy ain't gonna hurt me."
"Eh... Sure" he said, making a conscious effort to make his voice lower which resulted in it sounding stupid, like a cartoon. He dove his paw into his pocket and found only his phone, his wallet was missing.
He started looking around confused while the bear rolled his eyes, he had seen this trick before too many times and he was not going to give out anymore freebies. He started to look rather uncomfortable and annoyed and he felt that this kid was playing him.
"Look kid, you ain't got the money, I can't help ya..." he snapped after a few seconds, his big black eyes turning back round to face forward. Arden suddenly felt uncomfortable. It was not a feeling he was used to. Maybe he had made a mistake coming to this city after all.
He looked around so more and turned away from the cab. He did not see his wallet anywhere and he was too busy to notice somebody else get into the cab and drive away, stranding him at the ferry port.
This was just not a good day for him...
He walked up and down the platform several times, with most of the passengers arriving and continuing on their journeys, ignoring him completely. "Dammit, dammit, dammit!" he exclaimed under his breath and he looked up and down along the platform. There was no wallet.
A new feeling started to creep over him, a feeling of panic. He had no money, his bank card and his cash were all inside his wallet. He had no idea how long it would take to walk to the academy building. He thought he had plenty of time until the administration block closed. Now he wasn't so sure.
"Are you alright?" asked a voice. Arden looked up to see a large hulking white time standing over him. He was very well dressed, a sauve purple suit covered his torso. He looked like a businessman of some sort.
"Yeah... Yeah... " repeated Arden as he climbed to his feet, realising how silly he must have looked crawling over the street. The Tiger was smoking a large cigarette and puffed on it gently as he gave out his large paw and helped Arden to his feet.
Arden took his paw and looked up at him, he towered over the poor orange fox. His paws were massive too, he could make up powerful razor sharp claws under his hand.
"Well... Hi there." he said, his voice was somewhat well spoken, considering that he had such a large physique. Arden was expecting him to have a booming and rough voice, like the bear that he had just met inside the taxi but it was actually a pleasant surprise. "Let me guess, can't find your wallet?" he said, bringing a paw to his chin.
"Ugh... No" said Arden with a surprise but before he could continue speaking, the Tiger motioned for him to stop with a wave of his paw.
"I've heard this story before..." he mentioned with a sigh. "I presume, judging by your age, you are a recruit for the academy." He stopped and gave a short glance to the cases behind Arden which had been labelled with a sticker, confirming his theory.
"...and" he continued. "You lost your wallet..?"
Arden looked a bit shocked, making his tail twitch somewhat nervously. How many people had told him the same story?
He grinned inanely instead, which must have made him look even more stupid. He nodded in confirmation with the Tiger.
"As I said, I have heard this story before. You "rural boys" are almost always too enamoured with the big city to see the obvious dangers. You had your wallet stolen."
Arden suddenly felt panic again. How was he supposed to survive until he got his grant payment the following week from the academy. He calmed down when he realised that he could probably sell his laptop to make up the money but it was still a frustrating thing to think about.
The Tiger noticed his panic, his nostrils flared as he could taste the delicious scent of fear. None of the predatory instincts of the once dominant predator species of Terra had ever truly gone away, they were just more controllable nowadays. Something that may have happened to the societies before they left this planet.
He gave a reassuring grin and placed his hand on Arden's shoulder. "Don't worry" he said in a soft, calm manner as he tried to calm Arden from complete panic. "We should have enough time to take you to the Admin before it closes. My car is just over this way."
Arden felt that all his prayers had been answered by this mysterious stranger. He felt a sudden pulse of relief from his gut which made the panic seem somewhat more distant. He would need to call his bank from the admin building in order to cancel his card but at least he would be warm and safe for the night.
"Well... Thank You, Mr... eh?" he said as he remembered that he had never asked the name of this hulking white tiger before him.
"Harrigan, Theus Harrigan" confirmed the Tiger as he walked back to help Arden with one of his cases.
Arden suddenly had a horrible thought. He remembered that his mother had told him about being careful in the city and not to ever trust anybody.
But what would she know?
This woman had been with more partners than he could count. He could not remember a time where he had no come home from school and she was in bed with somebody or out with her friends or another lover. His mother had a horrible reputation at school and she had been ridiculed by parents and schoolchildren alike about how much of a nymph she was.
He had to bear the brunt of it at school though. She could never be honest with him or his father, so why would she tell him any good advice at all?
"My name is Arden" he said, looking up at relief at the white savior who helped him with his cases. "I'm from Littlethorne."
"Hmmm... I'm not familiar with it" replied Theus as he led Arden to his car, which was parked in the personal car park, right next to the station itself. His car was a rather large, almost like a saloon car. It looked as if it may be a company car. Arden suspected that his savior may have been pretty rich from his expensive car.
He opened the door for Arden as the fox climbed inside and sat down in the comfortable leather surroundings, both elegant and comfortable at the same time. Theus climbed into the driver's seat and started the engine.
Arden suddenly had a horrible thought again as the powerful engine started and the car reversed out of the parking position it had been in. He had only known this guy for five minutes and he had immediately got into his car. He was essentially at his mercy, the guy could be a psychopath and take him out to a field outside the city and murder him.
Panic began to spread in his mind like a virus. He had to make sure that Theus did not see his fear, did not see his doubt. He could not let on that he suspected that this journey was not as innocent as it appeared and hoped for the best.
How could he have been so stupid?
He wondered if tomorrow's headlines would read like;
"Fox missing, presumed dead"
He then shook his head because he doubted that the local police would declare him dead so soon. However, all that television of missing murder cases and crime documentaries were starting to get into his head. Terra could be as dark as it was beautiful.
"So..." said Theus, sensing an awkward silence, as he navigated the maze of roads and streets that was Chentrilla City. Arden looked at the window, at all the passing people and cars. Even if he started screaming, he was unable to tell if they would see him and even if they could, it would accomplish nothing. "What are you going to do at the Academy?"
"Off-world Duty" responded Arden quickly who was too busy fantasizing about possible ways to escape if the situation turned nasty.
"Oh right, my brother is a first officer on a starship..." replied Theus as he was looking forward, navigating through the traffic and the large population of the main shopping district, the light almost completely eclipsed by the monolithic towers above that reached high into the sky. "Personally... I never really wanted to go to space. Too much opportunity here on the ground."
"What is it that you do?" asked Arden quickly, trying to make the question sound as natural as possible and probing for information.
Theus looked back to Jack, his eyes connecting under his sunglasses, which he was still wearing. "Oh... I'm a Chief Constable for the Chentrilla City Centre Police."
Arden gave a huge mental sigh of relief. This guy was a police officer. He forgot that police officers did not always wear uniforms. He noticed the car pull up outside the admin building. He felt as if he had dodged a bullet and vowed never to be as stupid again.
"I'll park up and help you get settled. Then I'll file a report on your missing wallet and try to get it back to you." smiled Theus as he drove into the car park which Arden feeling as if he had made a decent friend.
"Sure..." replied Arden, feeling better than he had for the last hour.
* * *
Luckily, Arden had arrived in time to get his dormitory assignments. Police Chief Theus Harrigan had been extremely helpful in helping to clarify the incident at the station. Registration had just been closing when they arrived and the Chief had used his influence to get the academy to agree to one last process of Arden Whitefall from Littlethorne.
Arden and Theus then sat in a local cafe while they waited for administration to assign Arden to a dominitory. The more that Arden spent time with Theus, the more he actually came to like him as a person. He was intelligent but also had a sort of wisdom that Arden had never seen in a person before and he elegant used wit and humour to illustrate his points.
They talked about a wide range of subjects, including Arden's home of Littlethorne and how he had became determined to go into space since he had been a small kit. Arden tried to avoid answering questions about his parents. He was not sure his usual charade would be able to convince Theus, who seemed to be an intelligent and observant creature.
The streetlamps were just starting to come on when Arden finally got clearance and assigned to "Room 74656 in Valentine Tower". Valentine Tower was one of the huge monolithic tower structures that extended into the clouds. It was the nearest to the edge of the city and had some of the most breathtaking views across the sea.
Arden and Theus piled his stuff into his small, cabin like room. Unlike the grimey black of the towers from the outside. This room was almost completely white and cramped, with a terrible blue carpet which felt horribly rough and cheat. There was a small, single bed in the corner of the room, with a small porthole like window which looked across the sea from the one-hundred-twenty-third floor.
There was also a small "wet-room" like facility, which looked like a plastic box built into the room with a small shower, toilet and wash basin in it and desk with some cheap looking shelving units above it for storage.
Arden fell in love with the room, it was safe, it was warm and most importantly, it was his. He did not even have to speak to his deadbeat parents ever again because this was going to be the start of his life.
Theus closed the door off from the adjoining corridor that connected all the dorms together and the door slide shut after they had finished moving all his stuff inside. Arden immediately started rummaging through boxes as he fumbled through, looking immediately for his kettle. It had been almost an hour since his last cup of coffee and he was starting to get a little restless.
He stopped suddenly when he felt a paw reach out and place solely on his rear. His tail perked up as he turned around to see Theus, placing one paw firmly on his rear and groping gently.
"Sorry..." he said smiling, his large yellow eyes staring down at Arden. He had taken his sunglasses off. "... couldn't resist."
Arden was not sure not to make of this. Theus was a nice enough guy but he was great deal older than he was and he knew next to nothing about his life. He had only provided Arden with minimal information.
But still, something inside him. Something more powerful than his concern. Something he had been feeling for a while now, the attention he felt. It made him feel good, almost serene.
"N-no" he said, somewhat unsure about what he was feeling, an ache coming from within that he never realised was there before. "It feels pretty good actually..." he said bluntly.
Theus gave a grin and began to rub, feeling the contours of Arden's smaller, pert foxy butt. Arden had never been touched like this before and he actually liked the feeling it was giving him. He got up and turned around to look at Theus with a rather innocent expression, he was not sure if he should be doing this with a person that he only just met.
Theus read the expression his face as his hands travelled up Arden's shirt, sifting through his short orange fur. "Don't worry... I know... You're a virgin". He said, looking back to Arden for some confirmation.
Arden nodded curtly, looking back into those big yellow, predatory eyes and feeling an intense pleasure that he had never felt before.
Theus got his paws up to his nipples and gently started to tease them, running his hands forwards and backwards over them. Almost immediately, Arden felt a warm and pleasurable sensation in his groin grow as the tiger fondled him. He seemed to be almost looking for confirmation that this was pleasuring him.
Arden had never given thought to sexuality before. He had never really been interested in male or females. He had never really been interested in anything like that before because he had a such specific focus and agenda. His "bookworm" and bullied status at school ensured that he was never invited to any parties.
But here... now, was somebody who was paying absolute attention to him.
Suddenly, he felt himself come forward as Theus, took him in his large muscular arms which Arden could feel under his suit. Theus leant down and kissed him squarely on the lips. Arden had never been so confused, his breath was like an ashtray but it was also such an erotic and pleasurable quality to kissing.
It took a few seconds for Arden to get into the natural pattern, when he opened his mouth originally, he found it a bit awkward to be swirling it with the tiger but he soon was developing a nature knack for it.
There was a heat developing for the first time, a lusting that Arden never knew was there. A realm where he suddenly felt free from all the torment he had suffered as a child. This was a moment of peace and solace where he could just concentrate on the moment.
Both their trousers started to bulge under the pressure of a powerful erection. At least Arden was not completely alien to him, he had done it to himself a few times but never with anyone else. He reached down and touched Theus's growing bulge and was generally shocked by how big it felt. He had obvious had an amazing effect on the police chief.
After a few seconds, Arden felt a hand on his bulge, the feeling was difficult to describe as it was not the same as when he had rubbed it himself. This was different but was somehow more pleasurable, possibly due to the anticipation.
He felt Theus pull at his trousers, slowly undoing him. Arden did not resist, he felt as if he should have but he could just not command his muscles to moved. For the first time in his life, he was unsure if he should resist or not.
"That's it" smiled Theus, who pulled down Arden's underpants. His hard red meat had already emerged from its sheath, it was common biology for young adult foxes like him. It was fairly large, somewhat around six inches. Theus licked his lips as he looked up at Arden with a lustful grin, his hand reaching up to grasp the throbbing fox cock, his own cock pulsing inside the confines of his suit trousers.
He moved his hand down and for a second, Arden was unsure what he was planning to do. However he had no choice but to start giving out gentle moans as Theus slowly began to jerk his paw on his large, red fox meat.
"Ooooh..." exhaled Arden as he leaned back against the boxes feeling so good in a way that he had never before. He groaned gently as he felt Theus's large paw move up and down over him. Arden reached out touch his soft, perfectly shampooed white and black fur.
Theus got up slowly, releasing his grip around Arden's dick. He immediately undid his suit trousers and let them fall to the floor. Arden's eyes widened in a mixture of surprise and terror as Theus released his monster, it was hard about twelve inches thick, with a ring of barb-like protrusions around the head, typical of the genitals of most feline based species.
However he had never expected it to seem so big. Despite this he was also enticed about what he could with such a large cock.
"What me to teach you some of the basics?" Theus stood there, proud and flaunting his massive feline cock. Arden looked on in horror and surprise until something else took over, the same powerful feeling he had encountered earlier, a feeling for lust.
He nodded and gave a short, shy smile of his own.
