A Sudden Kiss

A Sudden Kiss
By ToKu
The cool spring air flooded into the small rectangular room, signaling the small glass wind chime to tinkle off sporadic dreamy notes. The early sounds of hustle and bustle echoing from below the open window only added to the calamity of the interior of the room belonging to the two story building of which it was a part of. Posters and pin ups adorned the cream colored walls along with numerous bookshelves of various sizes piled with none other than books of many sizes. Two racks of C.D.s hung on either side of a wooden desk covered in papers and open disk cases. The laptop semi buried with paper sat flashing between pictures of several different male tigers, none model status but still eye catching. A digital clock on a night stand beside an occupied bed read eight twenty-nine, its red glowing numbers switching between kanji and English ones.
The large, tawny form, half covered by a single bed sheet stirred slightly, nose twitching against the cool air. Round ears flicked as a motorcycle passed on the street below bringing the large cat to semi consciousness. Colors danced in front of sleepy eyes as he stretched, claws extending as paw grouped sleepily through the air above the bare chested cougar. The alarm going off a second later caused him to kick off the sheet in fright as the buzz ripped through the room, shattering the peaceful aura in which he had awoken.
The cougar pawed the alarm clock, sending a fresh pair of claw marks across the clock he had gotten as a graduation present at the beginning of last Summer. The silence flooded through the room again like an avalanche, stretching on a while before the sounds from outside came drifting through the open window. The wind chime began to sing another seizured song in the breeze as the cougar sat up, paws in lap, as he regained his bearings. It was the second time this week he had awoken seconds before his alarm went off. If it happened again he might have to put his alarm clock across the room to prevent further damages to the poor thing.
He gazed out the window and took in the reasonable view his small apartment offered. It was raised above some of the other buildings nearby but in no way was it the tallest building. Sagamihara was the largest third largest city in the Kanagawa prefecture, under Yokohama and Kawasaki, and the fifth most populated suburb in greater Tokyo. He could see traffic race by on a highway slip road near an elementary school, deserted for the weekend, along with the tangle of telephone wires like spider webs running from pole to pole, crisscrossing each other as they fell to the numerous surrounding buildings; a common thing in cities like this.
It was a clear morning, the smog was down to a minimum and thin clumps of cloud could be seen high in the stratosphere, making their way lazily across the sky. The cougar spotted a particularly large Kodiak bear jogging on the side walk across the street from his window, wearing only a pair of gym shorts and a white tank top. For a bear his size he was pretty muscular, just as much upper body weight as lower, rare for a bear. The cougar's eyes followed him until he disappeared around a corner. This was the fifth time seeing the bear on his morning run, a couple of times he had gotten up early to run into him just to say hello but today he had a date with someone else.
Well, not really a date, more like a certain time he wanted to be somewhere, to see someone, the only thing that didn't make it a date was that this fur didn't expect him. In fact, this fur rarely even noticed the cougar when he walked by, or stopped in to browse the shelves of Hisagi's Second-Hand Bookstore. He liked the place quite considerably and not just for the tiger eye candy that awaited him there, though that was a plus. His shelves were filled with books from that store. He loved buying used books, just knowing someone else had held them, read the words and turned the pages made the cougar shiver when he read the fragile paperbacks or creaky hardbacks; wondering if maybe it was Hideki, that large orange tiger who worked there, who had turned the pages with those huge paws of his.
The cougar pulled himself up off his bed after a good fifteen minutes of daydreaming, ignoring his clothes on the floor and made his way to his stereo naked. He paused a moment, scanning through the racks of compact discs, a healthy mixture of Japanese and American artists, mainly rock and metal, some pop, and electronica, though he knew what he wanted this morning and went straight for the A section. Be pulled out a case with orange and white artwork, 'the colors of a tiger' Aki thought ironic, and pushed the C.D. into the stereo. A bouncy bass rift shot out before guitars joined in as the song Haruka Kanata began to play.
The cougar grinned as he began going about his room, picking up the things he had been to lazy to pick up the night before. Dirty clothes found their way into the hamper, while the papers where cleared off his desk, stacked and straightened. He had spent the better half of the previous night chatting with his friend Ichiro, who had moved to America to be a computer programmer. His English was improving and he could hold entire conversations now. Akihiro on the other hand wasn't nearly as fluent, English was a hard language to learn.
By the time the second to last track came on, a song called 'Sunny Day', Akihiro was finally making his bed, still naked, tail darting through the air as the catchy tune tickled his inner musician. The guitar in the corner near his bathroom door was gathering dust but he made a resolution to pick it up the next time he was stricken with boredom.
"Saa," the cougar breathed to himself after tucking in the edges of his comforter beneath his pillow. He stretched in front of his open window, arms raised into the air, tail tickling his back as it unconsciously twitched to the quicker tune of the song '12'. He didn't worry about anyone seeing him exposed as he was, no one paid much attention to anyone else in the city; the loud music flooding out into the blue morning was just another common place sound that mingled with the sounds of urban life. He couldn't quite see the book store form here, but he knew it was opening right about now. The digital clock read kuu-ji go-fun, five minutes after nine; Hideki was probably putting out the news papers by now.
Shaking his head and snapping out of another daydream, Akihiro finally scooped up a pair of long white gym shorts and a black tank top from a pile of clean clothes he had yet to sort. He figured he'd dress down since it was the weekend and the sun was out. The spring showers seemed to have stopped. Aki remembered Iguchi Reine, from Morning Satellite News saying spring was in full swing, no more wet weather.
Before heading to his bathroom Aki stopped to switch out the C.D. for another, the same artist but a different album. He placed Houkai Amplifier back on the shelf and popped in Kimi Tsunagi Five M to track seven, cranking the volume up a little more to hear from the shower.
The cool water washed away the last remaining dregs of sleep. He always tried to do something physical in the morning to wake up his endorphins instead of relying on chemicals such as caffeine or guarana. But a shower always did the best job of waking him completely. He could feel his senses coming back after having been sapped from his late night. He quickly soaped up, eager to get somewhere today, just to get out after five long days of work made him ever so anxious, he had cabin fever and looked forward to the short walk to the book store.
He nearly walked out of his apartment before getting dressed. Going a little red in the face he pulled on his clothes, double checking himself in the mirror. His undershirt was a little tight but it showed off his big arm muscles.
Clipping his iPod to his shirt he dashed out the front door and nearly crashed into poor Miyashi-san, his land lady, as he was descending the stairs. The quick old fox darted left as Akihiro came stumbling down the last three stairs.
"G-gomenasai Miyashi-san" Aki mumbled as he regained his bearings. She just smiled and chuckled at his clumsiness.
"You're too big to be rushing off places." She said as her wise kitsune eyes closed to mere slits, but the grin on her muzzle assured Aki that she was more amused than in the lecturing spirit. "I'm just glad I didn't have those shoji put up in the hall before you moved in, they would have been torn the first time you walked through. Here I have something for you"
The fox held up two sweet rice cakes, his favorite, wrapped in a cloth. Aki grinned and agreed to have tea with her tomorrow afternoon, something they always did on the weekends. She had let him move in to her spare bedroom on the top floor of her bed and breakfast for nearly nothing a half year back. They were uncommon in the city and she needed a little extra money to pay her bills and was glad to offer him semi-permanent residence for a small fee every month. The greatest thing was that she didn't even mind him playing loud music during the day.
The air outside felt better than when it was coming in through his window, cool and refreshing and that nighttime feel hadn't burned off in the sun's warmth yet. He closed the wooden gate behind him as he set off down the grey, stone paved street for a few minutes before he reached the black asphalt of the more treaded roads of the city. Cars and mopeds dashed by in constant hurry as he passed a few shops; mostly restaurants. A few furs eat late breakfasts on outside tables as other commuters shuffled by on weekend errands. Teenagers ran about in packs, probably heading off to the subways to meat up at the huge mall in Yokohama.
As he shuffled through the weekend morning crowd of furs, carefully eating his breakfast, Akihiro managed to make his way to the street where the second-hand book store rested between a bistro and a noodle shop. Hisagi-san, owner of the bistro also owned the book store but spent most of his time sitting in a large wicker chair outside between both shops. The elderly wolf gazed up from his green tea nestled between two paws in his lap, still giving off wisps of steam in the cool morning air.
Adorned in a plain grey kimono and a forest green hakama the wolf stared with a sternness that could have frozen the moisture in the air, his old fashion dressings giving off an air of strict conservatism. He was a tough old wolf that could chew sticks as noodles and sip screws as soup. Akihiro didn't fear him though, on the contrary when the tiger approached the wolf's face softened and a crewed smile came across his gray face fur.
"Akihiro, what're ya up to this early on a weekend?" The wolf croaked in his heavy Osaka slag, he had been a merchant in his better days, a fish dealer, making the big money out of port. Now he lived simply, cooking seafood for 'The Rich Tokyo Folk' he called them, even though Tokyo was in the Kanto prefecture, the one bordering to the east of this one. "Anata ga yomi sugi mashita." (Means: You read too much)
"Read too much?" Akihiro asked with a puzzled expression, pulling a headphone out of his ear. In all his life he had never been told he read too much, how could anyone read too much? Usually furs now a day's didn't read enough. Despite this the cougar smiled at the old geezer. "Shine made yomimasu."
(Means: I'll read until I die)
This made the wolf laugh out right, spilling some of his hot tea into his lap; he didn't seem to notice this however. Akihiro just smiled and made his way to the entrance of the bookstore with a grin, the tiger swore he heard the wolf mumble something to himself that sounded ominously like 'He'll never get a girl'. Akihiro went warm but not too much with embarrassment, in truth he didn't want a girlfriend. He just shook his head and pulled the sliding door aside.
The smell for paper and incense flooded his nose, a smell he had loved since he was young. Aside from the counter directly inside the door there wasn't anything in the shop that wasn't covered in one thing or another. Books sat stacked on tables, their titles outward for the browser to read. Shelves were crammed with old leather bound books and newer glossy ones alike, some with creased spines and some without altogether, the titles written on with marker. Akihiro gazed down the narrow aisles of assorted books, all completely empty except for a raccoon and his friend, a Shiba Inu, who stood reading comics at the end of the second to the last row.
'Hum, nowhere to be found.' Akihiro thought to himself as he followed an unusual path to the very small section of Gay/Lesbian fiction. He didn't like being sneaky but he very rarely got a chance to browse this section. He crouched as his eyes ran over the titles, some in Japanese, most in English. He picked up a book at random and smiled at the nude tiger on the front, he was older than Hideki but attractive none the less. It was a 'male figure' art book; he quickly flipped through the pages, passing quite an assortment of species. Bears and Caribou from Russia, cheetahs and gorillas from Africa, Polar bears and sea lions from the arctic, even panda's from china along with Akihiro's favorite; the tiger. He stopped on the page with a orange and black feline resting comfortably in a tree, his white sheath clearly the main focus of the picture as he propped one leg over a higher branch.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" The loud booming voice above him sent a shock of fear through the cougar like it was the end of the world. He figured he had been caught looking through the book and slowly turned his head around to find the aisle empty save for himself. The dread that had spread though his body so quickly hung around his neck like a noose. Even though he was in the clear he still felt his endorphins racing like he should be preparing to run a race himself.
When he finally heard a small squeak of children, Akihiro remembered the kids on the other side of the shelf. He tried to peek through the books to the other side but they were too heavily packed together; it was impossible. Akihiro stood and made his way back down the aisle and as he did a flash of orange blurred passed his vision. Even though his eyes were working everything happened so fast it took a while before the cougar could comprehend just what was happening.
"If you don't have money, you don't come into this shop" The booming voice came again drawing Aki's attention to the door of the shop to where the orange blur now stood, only he was holding up two smaller, squirming forms. The apron wearing tiger help up the raccoon and inu by the scruff of the neck, their faces white as a ghost's.
"If you had money, I wouldn't catch you pawing off to Doujin." He growled and nearly tossed the boys to the street. "Zaken na yo, baka chinpira." (fuck off you stupid punks)
Aki could hear the children making a swift retreat as Hideki brushed his paws together like he had just taken out the garbage. The large tiger stood a good four inches taller than the cougar; his fluffy fur always sticking up in spikes gave him an extra inch or so in height. Akihiro just stared at him; even from behind he was amazing to look at. Strong arms hung out of a white undershirt similar to Aki's except in color and his broad back that suggested he worked out at least four times a week. He was so wrapped up in looking over the tiger that he didn't notice when Hideki turned round to see that there was someone else in the shop.
"Oh, Aikihiro, did you see that just now?" The tiger looked surprised to see him, his booming voice lost to astonishment, it was a first, normally the tiger just pretended to be interested in what the cougar bought here. Never really giving him more than a 'hey how are you', minus the 'nice weather were having'. It was strange to hear his name spoken with such attention. "Damn kids," he mused on, trying to hide his surprise with his tough voice that he normally spoke in. "Caught em being a couple of pervs in the back."
"Y-yeah, I-I heard." Aki said, still a little shaken by the way the tiger had spoken to him. He normally didn't let the tiger make him all love dumb; he just wasn't use to being spoken to like that.
"Well, normally I don't apologize for being brash but since you're a loyal customer here, I guess maybe I should say sorry. For being brash, ya know. So what're you here for today, haven't gotten any good horror novels lately." Hideki said walking over to the tiger, arms swinging like meat in a meat locker. He looked at what Akihiro was holding and squinted his eyes trying to read the read the title, he need to wear glasses but never did, Akihiro knew that he thought they would made him look like a geek, and he didn't want to look like a geek. He had never seen the tiger wear glasses but he figured he'd look cute.
As Hideki came close enough to see the book, Aki remembered what book it was he was holding, the one from moments ago when he was just as guilty as the two kids. He panicked and made to hide the book behind his back but the tiger grabbed it with one enormous paw before he had the chance.
The tiger flipped the book around, Aki waited for the tiger's face to scrunch up in anger, in disgust, but it remained the same as he studied the cover. The cougar swallowed deeply; a noise loud enough he expected the tiger to look up for the source.
"Huh," Hideki huffed as he finally took in the image on the cover. "Guess you found this out of place then?" The tiger said without taking his eyes from the cover. "I'll just put this where it's supposed to go."
Hideki made to walk away, Akihiro's mind raced, excuses for why he had the book came pounding against his Temporal lobe, but failed to process them. He wanted to tell the tiger he didn't find it out of place, finally tell him he liked big cats. The only thing that came out was.
"I didn't..."
Hideki stopped, turning on a heel; the expression on his face was momentarily one Aki had never seen before, at least not on the tiger. Though the words wouldn't come out of his mouth they painted his face; the want, the need to spill his guts to the tiger. Instead he swallowed again.
"Never mind," Akihiro spoke, disappointment hanging heavy in his words. Hideki hesitated a moment, the look on his face completely foreign to Aki, before walking down the aisle to return the book. Aki breathed heavily and took his own path between book crammed shelves. His heart was beating like a drum in his chest, pounding against his ribs like it was trying to break out of prison. He found himself, almost in a daze, sifting though used science fiction and fantasy books. The silence in the shop was causing his ears to feel plugged up. He tried swallowing and yawning to rid himself of the pressure, but soon realized he felt it throughout his whole body. He felt tight across his chest and it hurt to swallow and only half of it was from being caught with a homosexual book. Hideki had never spoken to him like that. It almost bothered him, now more than ever he wished for telekinetic powers, years and years of reading sci-fi aside; he wanted to know what was going on in that tiger's mind.
Like a zombie he chose a few books he had never read before by authors he knew and some he didn't. He never really looked at the covers, only the names and who it was written by, the saying never judge a book by its cover had become his motto over his years of reading. After picking out four tattered paperbacks he figured he should just give up his plans of hanging about the shop today. He did it every week but after this small incident he felt almost sick to his stomach. The thought of going home, taking off all his clothes and reading all day sounded really great to him now.
He took a deep breath and headed back to the front of the shop and almost prayed for Hisagi-san to be at the register. He wasn't; a tough thing to hope for. Apprehensively Akihiro neared the counter, Hideki was sifting through the pages of a book Aki couldn't see; a board look on his face.
'How could anyone be board here?' Aki's inner reader shouted inside his head. He sighed lightly so Hideki didn't notice and set the books he had accumulated down on the counter. The tiger stood from his stool and began ringing up his purchases as Aki dug his wallet out of his shorts.
"Sore wa hachihyaku-en da." (That'll be 800 Yen) Hideki mumbled and pressed the total button releasing the cash drawer. Akihiro fished out a thousand yen bill from his wallet and handed it over to the tiger, keeping his eyes below the tigers stare. He gazed about the crowded counter as the tiger made change. There were papers and books everywhere, income spreadsheets mixed with flyers for the store. A stack of books stood stacked precariously near the edge, a copy of Bones of the Moon by English Author Jonathan Carroll on top. He didn't have enough time however to notice the book Hideki was looking through before the tiger spoke. "You into tigers or something?"
Akihiro's head shot up at the question. "What?" He spat out quickly, his mind flooding back to the tiger in the book. Truth be told, he wanted to tell the tiger how he felt, to come out and say that he had been feeling for the larger orange kitty. But he didn't want it to come out like this.
"Your books," Hideki pointed down at the four paperbacks on the counter. "Each one has a tiger on the front."
Akihiro looked down at the books he selected, he hadn't noticed it before but Hideki was right; a tiger standing over a computer module, a tiger holding a sword while riding a dragon, one holding a blue orb of light in the air, and the last with a white tiger pulling his shirt off in pain as an alien leech sucked on his chest.
"Uh, I didn't realize..." It was the truth; he had picked them out at random, hadn't he? "I just grabbed some I haven't read, before."
Hideki lowered his head to this, gods how Aki wished he could read minds. He finally went to grab his books to make his leave when he looked down to where Hideki was looking and felt as his insides dropped from underneath him. The book Akihiro had been looking at before was sitting in front of the stool the tiger had been sitting in, the pages opened, to Aki's disbelief, to a rather good looking cougar sitting naked with a book in paw; the obvious connection to Akihiro's own appearance and hobby plain as day. He couldn't speak; he just looked up in time for the tiger's claws to grab him by the sleeves of his undershirt and nearly pull him across the counter.
Their faces rushed together, lips met, tongues intertwined, as a very awkward kiss formed between them. It was simple, no tonsil hockey, but it was warm and sent shivers up Akihiro's tail and spine. The books in his paw fell to the floor as he lost the sensation in his finger tips, the flood of flavor from the other feline causing him to feel weak. His eyes were wide, staring intently at the tiger who was so close to him; the sudden kiss of his dreams making his head swim not only with rapture but confusion as well, before this day Hideki had barely spoken more than a simple 'hey how's it goin' to the cougar, now they were kissing.
He was just starting to enjoy it, eyes beginning to close in pleasure when the tiger's mouth was ripped from his. The sensation was so sudden it felt like he had been punched in the muzzle. His eyes shot open, the blur of having them shut in ecstasy lingering for a few seconds before Hideki's terrified expression came into view. The tiger shook his head, mouth moving like he wanted to say something, paws pulled up to his chest like he had just done something wrong. He could smell a mixture of fear and loathing fill the air. Akihiro almost spoke, to say it was alright, that it was fine, but the tiger shook his head furiously.
"G-gomen n-nas-sai, o-ore wa..." (I'm s-so sorry, I...) Hideki scrunched his eyes shut, clearly upset with what he had done. Aki shook his head, trying to convey that he didn't need to apologize but the tiger turned and stormed off down the nearest aisle towards the back storeroom, his voice rising over the sea of countless books. "Chikkuushouuaa" (Chikusou = damn it)
There was a crash of falling books and a slamming door that caused the cougar to flinch back as if slaped across the face. Akihiro just stood there, dazed, not quite sure as to what just really happened. He noticed his fallen books and picked them up; one received a crease across the cover but it was the one with the least value to it. He made one last glance towards where Hideki disappeared and turned, leaving the shop, the sinking felling in his stomach that had never gone away was now painful. Even though he wasn't the one who kissed the tiger, he somehow felt like this was entirely his fault.

Akihiro avoided the book store for the next week, he finished reading the books he had bought in only two days and was left to either reread a few of the better ones he already had or browse the internet for new music. On Thursday he even commuted to Yokohama to shop at Yurindo, a bookstore at the outdoor_Isezaki Mall. Everything was ten times as expensive as the small used bookstore but it gave him a chance to get a book that had just come out and couldn't be found second-hand yet. Friday, he stayed indoors all day long, reading or chatting online to his friend in America, only leaving the confines of his room by slipping on a pair of boxers in order to pay the pizza delivery fox for the dominoes he ordered. He had told Ichiro all about what had happened last weekend, he was a close enough friend and knew about Aki's 'preference' and didn't minded when Akihiro would tell him about his 'interests'._
Ichiro-Taichou: Sounds like one confused tiger, haha
Aki-Akai: Yeah, tell me about it...
Ichiro-Taichou: Maybe he's just confused, like you were when you were young.
Aki-Akai: I don't know, maybe...
Akihiro couldn't figure out what Hideki's motives might have been. The tiger, despite working in a book store, was a power house of testosterone. Sure Akihiro worked out about twice a week, and was anything but a flamer, but Hideki was the last furson on this planet Aki would have guessed was gay. Than again maybe he wasn't, but why did he kiss him?
Those questions drifted through his mind the rest of the day as he lay listening to music late into the night. Storm clouds started to blow in from the coat as the American band Paramore played 'Let the Flames Begin' in his stereo. He sang along silently as he lay on top the sheets of his bed feeling the cool air blow through is window, paw unconsciously on his soft sheath, knowing most the song but understanding only a fourth of it. The movie of them kissing played in the third furson in his head over and over again; he could almost still taste the tiger on his lips. By the last song on the album it had begun to drizzle outside and Akihiro could feel sleep approaching him fast. The C.D. player clicked off and he listened to the rain fall to the streets below his window. He rolled to one side and fell asleep.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
He woke early Saturday to the pitter patter of rain on the roof, his window was still cracked and the wind had blown some in throughout the night, dampening his sheets. He pulled himself up, shivering in the cold and dragged himself to the shower without turning on his stereo. The hot water greeted him blissfully, warm wet fur clutching him like a warm blanket. He dried off and brushed his teeth before plopping down in front of his computer in only a pair of cotton boxers. He liked the cool air and left his window open. He knew he had to wash his sheets but didn't really feel like it right now, instead he figured he try and work on some more designs for the small t-shirt company he worked for. He liked the job because if he made something they used for a shirt it paid really well and he never had to commute to work every day.
A couple of times he thought about getting up and putting on some music but the lovely sound of the rain prevented that. He simply worked in peace and was half way through a design he had started the day before when he first heard the noise. It made him pause and look up from what he was doing, searching his room with his eyes and shrugged, figuring it was just a bird outside his window trying to get dry. The sound came a few more times but he ignored it as he copied and pasted on his computer screen.
The knock on his door however made him jump, he collected himself and was half way through pulling on a black Dir en grey t-shirt when he unlocked and opened the sliding door. Miyashi-san stood, still in her morning wear, glasses balancing on her long nose. She didn't seem upset but there was a peculiar look in her eyes, like she was trying to read something in Akihiro's head.
"Ohayo gozaimasu Miyashi-san, ano, otetsudai shimashouka?"* Akihiro asked his landlady, wishing still he could read minds. *(Means: Good morning Mrs. Miyashi, umm, can I help you?)
"There is a young fur standing out in the rain, he was asking for you, didn't give his name." She spoke slowly, he wasn't sure why, and he sure as hell didn't know who it might be who was outside. "I asked him to come wait inside while I got you but he insisted on waiting outside by the gate."
A light must have turned on in his head because he suddenly connected Miyashi's story to the noises outside his window that overlooked the garden and the front gate. He didn't mean to be rude but he instantly crossed to his opened window and peered out. His eyes widened in shook but his tail twitched to see the tiger standing by the oak front gate. Hideki stood wearing a rain wet brown Sherpa bomber jacket, looking from side to side; apparently nervous otherwise his tail wouldn't be twitching like Aki's was.
He turned back from the window and Miyashi was still trying to read him like a book. He stumbled over to his laundry pile by the door to his bathroom and fished out a pair of shorts, all his pants were dirty or packed away for spring, who knew Kanagawa would get two days of rain after such a perfectly sunny week. He nearly tripped shoving his large bottom paws through the legs and nearly caught his sheath in the zipper, something he hadn't done since middle school. Miyashi stepped aside as he rushed out into the hall and flew down the stairs to the front door. He paused a moment, paw on the handle, breathing in through his nose and out his mouth, regaining his composure before slowly opening the door.
Hideki was the first thing he saw, standing like a statue; a statue with a tail that swished through the air like it was trying to swat flies, but a statue none the less. He shut the door and immediately the tigers eyes met his, a new face to add to the one from a week ago. He looked horrible, sleep deprived. The thought of the cat losing sleep over him almost made tears well up in his eyes. 'But that couldn't be why he was here, could it?' His face defiantly showed something other than sleeplessness, desperation maybe?
Hideki pulled his paws out of his jacket and took a few steps but let Aki took the remaining until they stood inches from one another, rain barreling down on them. Aki was almost instantly soaked and he could only imagine how cold the tiger was. 'How long had he been out here?' They stood there in the rain for a moment, skirting the other's eyes until it became too painful for either one of them.
"I..." they both muttered simultaneously, both lowering their gazes in embarrassment of interrupting the other. Akihiro's heart was beating again but not so much in fear or worry. Excitement bubbled up through his body from somewhere deep inside him. He was cold but a warmth spared through him as they both stood there, acting like high school crushes.
"I just wanted to apologize again for," Hideki spoke softly; Akihiro had never heard him speak like that before. "You know, for last week."
Aki smiled and shook his head. "You don't have to apologize for that." Aki said simply
"But, I kissed you," Hideki yelled then hearing the volume of his voice hunched over like he was about to tell the cougar a secret. "We're males; shouldn't you be angry I did that?"
"Angry? I don't have to be angry, not if I liked it." Akihiro said, the warmth now flooding his face and was glad his fur was wet because he knew the tiger would have noticed. It was still kind of new to him, talking to a guy this way, but he had had Ichiro growing up and already had gotten over his nervousness about talking to other guys like this.
"Like it?" The tiger asked his tail perking up, though his face didn't show any sign of excitement. "You mean you're not mad because you liked it, even though you're a male?"
Aki could only nod; he knew that if he tried to reply he might laugh at how stunned the tiger sounded at finding a male who likes kissing other males. When the tiger seemed to slump in relief, or exhaustion Aki took a step closer and held out a paw, placing it on his shoulder.
"Do you want to come inside, you look horrible? I can have Miyashi-san dry your clothes for you if you want." Hideki's face light up a little at hearing that, he still looked tired but Aki figured he wanted to get out of his wet clothes just as much as Aki suddenly did. "She makes good green tea, I'm sure that wouldn't be every much to ask for."
Despite the kind offer of warmth and dryness, the tiger still looked pained, like he was waging a war in his head. Hideki clutched his bomber and watched as water dripped out the ends, this seemed to make up his mind and he finally nodded and enunciated a soggy 'yes'.
Aki helped him through the doorway to find Miyashi-san near the stairwell; she came to their assistance at once and took the sodden tiger to the laundry at once. Akihiro smiled and took this opportunity to race up stairs; his wet paws leaving small puddles on the hardwood floor. His room was warmer than outside but still quite cold. He shut his window and set the small space heater by the foot of his bed to eighty. He tore off his clothes and retrieved a large red towel from the bathroom. He dried himself until even his short fur was fluffy and seemed longer than before. He had just pulled on a pair of red plaid boxers when the door to his room slid open.
"Ahh, sorry I should have knocked." The tiger said gripping a jade green towel around his waist, fur fluffier and pointier than ever. Aki still felt weird hearing him talk like that, in those kind words that he had never used before last week. "The fox told me to get some cloths from you."
"Oh, alright." Aki said scratching his head and looking around, he had picked up his room the night before but after taking of his clothes on the floor and his ruffled bed it looked a mess. "I'll get you something, sorry about the mess."
He dug for something in his drawer and ended up handing the tiger a pair of white cotton boxers and had to look in his clean clothes he had yet to put away for a shirt. When he finally found a simple white shirt he turned to see the tiger stepping though the legs of the boxers; his furry sac swinging between his legs being the first thing to meet his eyes. Warmth filled his face as his blood rushed through his body, tempting to fill a very particular organ below the waist. The Hideki stood straight he accepted the shirt from a mildly stunned Akihiro but didn't put it on. Instead he held it tenderly in his paws, gently twisting it as he appeared to be looking for words. Aki just watched the tiger in the lingering silence as his exposed muscles flexed and bulged under his black striped fur.
"I can't get you out of my head." The tiger spoke with a strange twinge, like he liked the words even though they bothered him. The words themselves hit Aki hard; he almost had to ask again for what he said before the tiger took a deep, slow, breath. "Kono kako no shyuu... Ore ga suru nani mo... Anata wa toko ni soko ni imasu." (Means: This past week... Nothing I do... You're always there.)
Aki couldn't believe the words the tiger was saying; the tiger who he had been secretly admiring had been secretly thinking of him as well, it almost seemed too good to be true. He waited for the tiger to say; but, however, in spite of... But those words didn't come; instead he continued to twist the shirt in his paws, looking at the floor as he spoke, soft words churning Aki's stomach with an unbelievable excitement.
"You started coming to that store, what, a year ago now," He mumbled talking a step closer. Aki could feel the vibrations of his footfalls in his own paw pads as they seemed to travel up his body as he watched the feline spill his desires before him. "You made me think strange thoughts, feel strange feelings. I looked at you like I had never looked at anyone before. I literally couldn't think 'straight' at work whenever you came so I had to act like I didn't care about your books."
Aki noticed the tiger glance at all the books on his walls; he figured the tiger knew they had mostly come from the shop he worked in.
"I noticed you would look at me sometimes and I wanted to come over and talk to you but I felt strange." Hideki continued almost with a whiny face, as if he realized he could have and everything probably would have been fine, but how was he to know that Aki would have liked a sudden kiss inside one of his favorite places. "I realized you came on the days I worked and wanted so badly to approach you but I figured you would probably get freaked out and wouldn't come back. God's and now I'm standing here talking like a school girl in heat, I'm probably not making things better."
Aki couldn't help but smile at this as he felt a courage rise from within the depths of his soul, He took the few steps between them and grabbed the tiger by his muscular arms and pulled him into a kiss. This time it was Hideki who went wide eyed. Akihiro kept his eyes to slits, watching the expression on his face go from shock to bliss like he had a week back, but he wasn't going to freak out and pull away. He wanted to stay and kiss and feel as the tiger's tongue explored his own, as paws began to survey each other's body. He figured the tiger didn't put on his shirt for a reason and he was just going to have to be that reason.
"I've wanted to tell you everything for the last twelve months too." Akihiro said pulling apart briefly as they kissed hard, both having suddenly lost their shyness completely. He ran his paws through the tiger's thick chest fur and grinned when he heard him purr. "Wanted to say I liked you."
"I think your sexy to look at." The tiger blurted out, casing the cougar to laugh at his sudden lack of discretion. "I mean that you're a good looking guy, like... kinda like..."
"Hon no Kuugaa to onaji da ka?" Aki said with a chuckle as spots of color appeared in the white of the tiger's cheeks.
Hideki grinned and nodded. "Yeah, like in the book."
Aki took this opportunity to kiss the tiger again, he was warm, he noticed, even after being out in the rain for gods knew how long. He felt as the tiger ran a paw down the cougar's tawny chest and went lower until they pulled apart again. Each searched the other's eyes as if asking permission before anything went further, Aki nodded and the tiger smiled which was permission enough. The cougar lowered himself to his knees, Hideki looking down in approval and purred like a motor starting as he lowered the white cotton underwear to reveal a semi stiff sheath, furry white with a tip of pink poking out through the top. He shivered as Aki licked the fur around the base before beginning to coerce the member out of hiding. With a paw wrapped around his white sack, rubbing the heavy marbles inside, Aki watched as Hideki grew to full length in a matter of seconds. It was rock hard but didn't begin spouting pre until it was down Aki's throat with his tongue wrapped thoroughly around it.
Purring like a semi truck, Hideki sighed as the cougar began to bob back and forth without trouble, milking the pre from the raging member. Words seemed useless now because the only thing coming from either of them were incomplete phrases or slurry gibberish caused by a massive member in a mouth. Aki worked hard, tongue functioning to its full potential, not just to taste as much of the kitty as possible but pleasure the one furson he had been longing to be with for months. When he finally pulled off the huge pinkness he noticed his own boxers were now soaked with pre, his meat trying to burst through the wet material.
"That's nice to see." Hideki whispered; he looked drunk with the moment. Aki pulled the underwear down to his knees and stroked his devise as the tiger watched.
"Mine's not as nice as yours." Aki smiled up at the thing before him, now dripping pre to the floor.
"You kiddin' you got at least an inch on me." The tiger said and chuckled now holding his own drooling rod as they compared their dicks like curious school children
"Yours is thicker." Aki explained.
"I'd like to taste yours."
"I'd like to fuck yours."
They both froze at the thing Akihiro had implied, the two of them had gotten past kissing, minute oral sex, but now full facing full blown sex. They both stared at each other with wondrous faces as if realizing what they could possibly do. Akihiro grinned and removed the underwear from his legs before inching over to his bedside stand. After rummaging through a small drawer he retrieved a small tube of flavored lubrication he had gotten a month ago for free outside a bookstore in Kawasaki. The tiger grinned and took the small vile from the cougar and chuckled as Aki took up a position on his bed, ass up in the air, tail swaying lazily, almost as an invitation.
Hideki crouched down behind the cougar and smiled at him from under his legs, his dangling balls were in the way but he was able to watch as the tiger opened the tube and dribbled a healthy supply onto the pads of his paw before taking hold of the stiffness between them. Aki squirmed in pleasure as the tiger worked the lube into it, stroking it up his shaft until paws smashed into balls before a squeezing stroke down to the tip. He sighed in surprise when the tiger's mouth engulfed him, sucking hard down the length until his nose came up against his furry jewels, He didn't notice the finger playing with his hole until it was pressed inside of him, sending chills up his back.
"Careful with your claws." Aki sighed as the digit sunk further and further inside of him.
"I wouldn't hurt you." The tiger said sarcastically, letting the cock slip from his mouth so he could focus on what his finger was doing, Aki knew he meant it. "How about I use my tongue?"
Aki could have melted when the long, slippery, appendage slipped into him. Its warmth could be felt inside him as it slithered around, working the ring of muscles around it. He could feel the tiger's whiskers against his ass and began to push back as the feline tried to bury his face within those cheeks.
"Gods," he sighed as he felt the tiger's paws on his hips, claws threatening to dig into his flesh.
"Omae wa sutoroberii no you na ajiga shimasu.*" The tiger purred as he slipped his tongue from the tight hole. Aki shivered as the thing satisfying him was taken away, he longed for it back but figured something greater would soon be filling him. *(Means: You taste like strawberries)
"That's just the taste of the lube." Aki confessed; he knew the strawberry lube would come in handy for something and was glad he hadn't used it to paw-off.
"Even so." The tiger mused as he aligned himself with Aki's tail hole, the tip of his tiger-hood occasionally spurting pre onto the pucker. "My cock wont taste, it'll just fuck."
Aki grinned, that was the Hideki he knew, the tough, balls to the wall tiger of his dreams, and now he was going to get fucked by him. He couldn't wait any longer, he needed it, he wanted it, wanted the tiger to be inside him, to be a part of him.
"Hemete chodai." Akihiro pleaded with a laugh trailing off his words that made them seem more comical then serious. (Means: Fuck Me!)
"Got it." Hideki grunted and thrust forward, the shaft splitting Akihiro opened and hilting him in one go. Tears formed instantly at the sensation, but not in pain. He had a dildo buried away in his drawer that he would pull it out on occasion and was used to being stretched that far. They were more like tears of happiness if anything, tears of joy as he was plowed into by the tiger of his dreams.
"Ii desu ka?" The tiger asked coming to rest against the cougar's backside.
"Yeah," Akihiro sighed, he could feel the motionless member pressing almost painfully against his prostate. "It's very good."
At that the tiger pulled out, leaving nothing but the tip inside the ring before burying it back inside the cougar's ass. Aki grinned and gripped his sheets as the tiger began to forcefully yet evenly fuck him, each thrust landing flawlessly on the mark. His pleasure button screamed as it worked him closer and closer to orgasm. It normally would have taken a little more than this with a silicon replica but this was the real thing and it pushed him further and further over the edge.
"Mate me tiger." Akihiro groaned as he tried to hold back his own orgasm for as long as possible. "Fukaku hamekonde choudai." (Means: Ram it deep!)
"Don't, worry, about, that," Hideki grunted as his sac slammed into Aki's, his voice resonating with each thrust he drilled into the cougar. "It's been like a month since I last... since I last..."
Aki felt as the mass inside of him filled with blood, stretching him further before it flooded his insides with warmth. Hideki groaned as he came; the repression of an entire month rushing out of his body through a single point. Aki bit his arm as he was hilted, jets of cum crashing into his prostate, sending him into delight as his loins blared with pleasure. Ropes of white shot up from under him; coating his bed sheets in warm, salty spunk as his knees went weak and he fell to his mattress; arms having become unable to hold him up. Through all the orgasm in the room a single thought made it to his mind as the tiger collapsed on top of him to spoon, a part of him still buried and swimming in a sea of cum inside him. Sure he felt otherworldly at that moment with the scent of his dream tiger filling the room and only intensifying with the warmth from the space heater. His secret admirer panted heavily into his neck fur, but the silliest notion came to him as his vision began to blur.
'Guess it was a good thing I didn't wash my sheets when I did.' He thought and with that he was overcome with emotions, sexual and momentous alike, and felt as the warm numbness of sleep fell over him as a final smile stretched his face.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Akihiro awoke feeling quite dazed and confused, his eyes had gunk in the corners with what he hoped wasn't semen. He didn't remember shooting himself in the face. He opened his eyes and realized he was laying on the bare mattress of his bed, naked and cold. He sat up and looked out the window to the sunny sky view of the nearby highway. His memories of the previous day rushing back, or...
'Is it still today?' He asked himself, he didn't know for how long he had slept for. He looked around for his clock and found it missing. Instead, it was placed across the room on his desk that sat clean and orderly, safe from pawing claws. His whole room was spotless and orderly. He stood and walked about the small space lazily and almost thought the whole thing had been a dream. But if it weren't for his things being rearranged and cleaned, and tidied, he would have dismissed it. Miyashi-san never came in to clean up his room so it had to be someone else.
He felt the dried residue of sex around his undercarriage and felt his heart flutter with joy, it had really happened. Hideki had really come over; after standing in the rain they had shared themselves with each other.
He heard a rustling from down stairs and almost bound out the door how he was, but his conscience got the better of him. He ran for the shower, jumped under the cold stream and scrubbed soap into his fur as fast as he could. He nearly slipped and fell against the sink as he tried to reach for his tooth brush while stepping out. He caught himself but just barely. He dried off and found a shirt he had ordered from America a month back; a black HeavyHeavyLowLow shirt, they were an awfully spastic band but their randomness had intrigued him and the crazy design of blue and yellow and green and pink sort of fit his emotions at the moment. Along with a pair of black cargo short he gave of the impression that he was some tough rocker from America; it made him laugh to himself.
The trip down stairs was a tough one, his heart beat so fast he felt like he was having a heart attack and feared going into cardiac arrest. The stairs came two at a time but to Aki they seemed to take forever. Miyashi-san, he met at the bottom; the old fox was shuffling across the corridor to the living room. She stopped and smiled up at him, the questioning look in her eyes from the day before gone and replaced with charm and pleasantness.
"Did I ever tell you that you remained me of my son?" She asked him as he approached still feeling a little giddy from the realization that yesterday had really happened. He looked about briefly but couldn't spot the big striped cat outside in the garden or in the kitchen. He hoped he didn't leave after what they had done; he almost wished he could have woken up to him lying there next to him.
"No, who was he?" Akihiro asked only half interested, he never knew the old kitsune even had children. "I didn't even know you had a son."
"Yes," She said like thinking about a fond memory. "He went to go live in America with the love of his life. They weren't really being accepted here in Japan at the time. They went to live in San Francisco, in California, all the way on the other side of the ocean."
"What was she like?" Aki asked wondering why two people wouldn't be accepted
"He was raccoon." Miyashi-san said narrowing her eyes at the cougar like he was as dense as her hardwood floor upon which they stood.
"Oh," He breathed at the realization that the fox's son was gay and had moved to California in search of tolerance.
"Do you miss him?" Aki asked trying to keep his anxiousness off his face.
"Of course I do," The kitsune snapped, but her features softened as she spoke. "He sends me letters every month and he calls collect on holidays."
Aki waited as she shifted through fond memories. He thought he heard a sudden noise behind him but didn't want to look away for fear of being rude.
"So, as long as you don't try and run off to America, you and your 'friend' are welcome here." She said friend like saying lover at the same time. She must have known that there was something between them even before the two of them realized it or even wanted to admit it. "He's in the Laundry room cleaning your sheets."
Aki bowed himself away from her, mumbling thanks before ducking down the hall to the small laundry room. Hideki spun around when the door came sliding open. He looked surprised to see him but when the door shut behind the cougar he wasn't bashful enough to refuse the tongue that came sliding down his throat. It felt so good, to just be able to hold him like this as his paw ran over his ass and back like it was starved for the sense of touch while the other held firm to a box of laundry soap. It was hard to believe that all this was now possible because of a simple, sudden kiss a week before.
"I don't know if I can say I love you yet." Hideki said slowly when they pulled apart, a glazy, drunk expression on his face; result of the kiss. Aki just waited, feeling the words in his chest like weights. He realized 'I love you' was a strong string of words. "Demo sa, Boku wa hontou ni daisuki da." (Means: But, well, I really like you a lot.)
Aki felt his cheeks go red as the tiger came into his mouth again leaving the soap behind him on the washer as it shook with his bed sheets inside.
"And you're doing my laundry," Aki said after another pause, the still held onto each other however, pink nose pressed gently into black. "What are you, my wife?"
"Only if you want me to be." Hideki smiled, sharp teeth sparkling white as the sun flooded in through a small window to the left of the dryer. Aki still wasn't used to him talking like this but he defiantly felt like he could get used to it.
"Round two?" Hideki said pressing his very noticeable erection into Aki's now hardening sheath.
"In the laundry room?" Aki asked thinking about Miyashi-san.
"Believe me," Hideki said lowering himself to Aki's waist level. "I don't think she'll care."
