The squires stood in a line in the courtyard trying not to shiver in the cool air of the ore-dawn hours as they waited to be paired up for their survival test. No one knew who would be going with who. Friends had been paired up, but so had people who were less than friends. William waited patiently, less than successful at the not shivering part of the morning."Drake?" The instructor called out. "You and William will be partnered up."

[5:03:07 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right!" *Drake slowly walked over to William with a giant smile on his face.* "Hey will, long time no see Will, l I didn't know you were doing this thing to. How have you been? I haven't seen you for 6-8 years now?" *He holds out his hand for his friend to shake it.* [5:06:31 PM | Edited 5:59:38 PM] Dragonborn3: "S-sounds about right." He says, hand shaking as he shook Drake's hand. "Almost didn't do it... I'm not real good at this stuff..." [6:02:33 PM]Kamenriderfire "Oh pshaw I'm sure your fantastic. Anyway it's fantastic to see you again buddy." *Drake says happily shaking his friend's hand.* [6:08:02 PM] Dragonborn3: He smiled a bit. "Nah, not really. I'll probably get myself killed out there.." [6:11:24 PM]Kamenriderfire "Not as long as I around you won't. Don't worry I'm not going to let you die, did your master give you any more instructions? Mine just told me to come over here." *He says as he walks to stand beside William.* [6:12:26 PM] Dragonborn3: He shook his head. "No, nothing. Should we ask? They probably expect me too. I just don't get some of this stuff sometimes." [6:15:56 PM]Kamenriderfire "Yeah... Why don't you ask, as I said I didn't receive any instructions." [6:25:09 PM] Dragonborn3: He nodded, looking nervous, before walking up to his master and asking. The look of contempt is clear as the explanation is given and he hurries back. "We.. We're to pack for a long time in the wilds.. Said they'd let us k-know when the test was done." [6:28:03 PM]Kamenriderfire "Well... My master told me to pack before we came here so... I'm already done." *He says a bit embarrassed to his friend.* "Would you like me to help you?" *He says casually.* [6:29:46 PM] Dragonborn3: "Sure. Might keep me from messing that up too." He sighed, wishing he could be a better squire. "My room is this way." He says as he walks back into the keep. [6:31:02 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right that will also give us a bit of a chance to compare our survival strategies."*he says happily. He follows behind his friend to his room.* [6:34:23 PM] Dragonborn3: "Mine would be never leave my room." He mutters. He opened the door to his small, neat room. He was one of the rare ones that got a private room, but when no one wants to be your roommate... "I keep my gear and stuff in this chest." He explains, opening the one at the end of his bed. [6:38:41 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right, what's your weapon of choice? Sword, twin daggers, crossbow, Longbow? What type of armor are you comfortable with, light or heavy? Remember we also need to make sure we have plenty of room for food. I have a few small supplies and obviously we well forage in the forest but we still need room to carry them." [6:40:44 PM] Dragonborn3: "Uh.. Short spear hasn't hurt me yet, and light armor's okay. We can swing by the kitchens for better supplies if we gotta, I know one of the cooks." [6:44:30 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right well my weapon of choice is a long sword, and my backup weapon is a curve dagger." Starts to dig through Williams chest.* "How often do you clean your gear? It's so dirty, were going to have to spend some time cleaning that." *He pulls out some leather armor, handing it to William.* "If you're going all right, I think this will work the best, unless you want to try Elven?" [6:40:44 PM] Dragonborn3: "Uh.. Short spear hasn't hurt me yet, and light armor's okay. We can swing by the kitchens for better supplies if we gotta, I know one of the cooks." [6:47:37 PM] Dragonborn3: "I'm fine with it." He said, taking the armor. He started to work on cleaning it, going silent as he focuses on his task. He'd get this right while drake was here. [6:49:35 PM]Kamenriderfire "And I also think as long as you have a connection with the kitchen staff. We should stop by there and grab a little more food, better to be safe than sorry. Where are your spears? I can't seem to find any weapons in this room." * Drake says as he wanders around the room.* [6:53:43 PM] Dragonborn3: "I'm, um, not really allowed to have weapons in here anymore... I hurt myself practicing a lot." He admits, face going red. [6:55:01 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right, then where are your weapons stored? And what will you use as your backup?" [7:00:30 PM] Dragonborn3: "Um, probably a small dagger or club. My weapons are kept next to the training gear in the training rooms. It's a joke, kinda." [7:02:54 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right to then let's go get it, I want to check it." [7:03:47 PM] Dragonborn3: "I'm not done cleaning my armor though..." It was a weak excuse at best. [7:05:32 PM]Kamenriderfire "Okay then... Do you want my help cleaning that?" *He says in an awkward tone of voice to his friend not really sure what to do.* [7:06:13 PM] Dragonborn3: "If you want to." [7:08:20 PM]Kamenriderfire "So I assume you are not the most popular guy around here... correct?" *He says kneeling down next to William starting to help him clean the leather armor.* [7:10:24 PM] Dragonborn3: "No. I'm the worst here, to be honest. If I was any worst I'd have been kicked out within a month. I don't know why I can't get any better, I keep practicing!" [7:18:45 PM]Kamenriderfire "Well that's a good attitude to have, just keep trying and things will get better. You know what after this test is over. Why don't I transfer over here and help you train? Will be just like the old days...? Do you remember when you used to play with old man Jeremias training dummy, and I bought you that wooden sword? I remember you one it so hard you hit yourself in the head with it." *He laughs after saying that.* [7:25:03 PM] Dragonborn3: His face darkened as he thought back on that day. "I was bleeding a lot and you g-got the bandages... My mom was so mad when I wrote her to tell her about it. You never did meet my family." He smiled despite himself. "I still have that sword." [7:29:46 PM]Kamenriderfire "You do really?... Do you know where it is?" *Drake's voice became happy and cheerful thinking about the good old days.* [7:34:24 PM] Dragonborn3: "Yeah." He crawls under his bed and comes back out with a cloth bundle. He unwraps it and reveals the old toy sword. "I get to keep it here because it's a toy." [7:41:43 PM]Kamenriderfire "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness look at that. I can't believe you This old thing. And I can't believe your mom let you keep that thing after you almost killed yourself. So where is your family now? " [7:45:28 PM] Dragonborn3: "...at home. And of course I kept it! You bought it just for me." He turned it so Drake could see the old stain on the edge. "Still got the blood too." [7:47:54 PM]Kamenriderfire "Oh my goodness... This is too funny ." *Drake starts laughing hysterically at this .* [7:49:24 PM] Dragonborn3: He laughs too, unable not to. He lefts his bangs to show the scar. "That was a great day!" [7:52:09 PM]Kamenriderfire "Yes yes it was, what did old man Jeremias say to you afterwords? You never told me." *Drake says starting to regain his composure.* [7:56:43 PM] Dragonborn3: "Told me to wear a helm next time or use a real sword and save all the trouble, the old bully. Made me scrub the floors for a week too." [8:01:02 PM]Kamenriderfire "Oh man I've missed you William, we had the best times together you and I. I'm kind of glad mom forced me to try to become a knight, so I could see you again. So I guess you were right when you used to tell me everything has a bright side." [8:02:01 PM] Dragonborn3: "I guess you're the bright side of this. I'm really not suited for this." [8:07:16 PM]Kamenriderfire "I'm sure you'll be a great knight William. And with me at your side we will be the best pair of knights this world has ever seen." [8:08:00 PM] Dragonborn3: "I hope you're right. I'd like to be a good knight with you." [8:10:30 PM]Kamenriderfire "We should probably get back to preparing... We will have enough time to catch up as it is." [8:11:50 PM] Dragonborn3: "Yeah." He looked back at his armor and sighed. "I should clean my armor more often." [8:16:45 PM] Dragonborn3: William trudges down the forest path, glad he had good endurance at least. "Where do we want to stop and set up camp?" [8:19:28 PM]Kamenriderfire "Let's just keep going until we can't go anymore." *Drake says carrying most of the supplies. He can't believe it had been two hours since the two were reminiscing about the old days.* [8:22:25 PM] Dragonborn3: "If we go that far we'll be too tired to set up though." He points out. "Remember that day we were swimming and a bull snake swam in front of us? You screamed!" [8:25:38 PM]Kamenriderfire "Well if you remember, I hate snakes any kind of snakes. And we were swimming in our undergarments." *He said his voice giving off a little hint of anger but also laughter at the memory. [8:28:14 PM] Dragonborn3: "It was just a little guy! They don't even bite, and you had me take it to shore" he giggled a little before trying to pretend it was a cough. "Uh, yeah, shore." [8:34:39 PM]Kamenriderfire "Okay so let me get this straight Mr. brave knight, if I was to put you in a lake full of spiders naked. You would not be scared? You would just keep swimming...? You could just keep on going." *Drake says cocky feeling that his manhood was being questioned.* [8:36:42 PM] Dragonborn3: "If there was water, the spiders would have drowned, if not then it's not a lake." He points out, though he does shudder at the image of that many spiders. Too many eyes... [8:38:34 PM]Kamenriderfire "Oh shut up all right?" *Drake stops abruptly in his tracks.* "I think there's something up there. Hold on." [8:40:22 PM] Dragonborn3: "Up where?" He asks quietly, looking into the trees, hand reaching slowly for his spear. [8:48:40 PM]Kamenriderfire "Up in the distance, behind those trees I think I see some fire. I'm not sure if their friends or foes, ready your spear." *Drake pulls out his longsword from his scabbard and slowly makes his way up to where he believes the fire is.* [8:49:58 PM] Dragonborn3: "You don't think it's bandits, do you?" He tried to keep the fear out of his voice as he drew his short knife as well as his spear and followed slowly. [9:16:35 PM]Kamenriderfire "Maybe, have you ever been in real combat before? You know what don't answer that. Just stay behind me." *Drake keeps his eyes on William and the two go closer to what they think might be a bandit camp.* [9:15:24 PM] Dragonborn3: He stays as quiet as he can, biting his lip. This could get really bad really quick. [9:16:35 PM]Kamenriderfire "Yes it could." [9:17:30 PM] Dragonborn3: "I'll try to not stab myself.." [9:27:46 PM]Kamenriderfire "That's a pretty good idea, are you ready?" *Drake looks at his friend with a serious expression on his face obviously anticipating combat.* [9:28:58 PM] Dragonborn3: It's very obvious by the look in William's eyes that he isn't, but something makes him grit his teeth and nod. He'd do what he could. [9:34:02 PM]Kamenriderfire "On three, one ... Two... Three go!" *Drakes suspicion was right, there is a group a of bandits bout seven people. Drake runs headfirst into them and slashes his longsword of them. Two of them fall almost immediately to his blade not expecting a surprise attack.* [9:38:34 PM] Dragonborn3: He hadn't expect to actually go when Drake said to, but he did, much to the surprise of the bandit he slammed into and knocked into the fire. [9:41:39 PM]Kamenriderfire *One of the bandits knocks Drake's sword out of his hand, Drakes stumbles and tries to regain his balance. He unfortunately is unable to do so and falls to the ground.* [9:45:04 PM] Dragonborn3: With the man in the fire screaming William almost misses Drake's fall. Almost. "No!" He shouts, lurching to his feet and stabbing at the bandit with his spear in and effort to save his friend. [9:49:19 PM]Kamenriderfire *Drake gets back up to his feet and grabs the sword, however not a moment too soon two of the three remaining bandits tries to take advantage of Drake's vulnerable situation. Drake dodges one of the bandits attacks and counters with the killing blow. He jumps back and turned around and slashes the remaining bandits head clean off his shoulders.* [9:55:51 PM] Dragonborn3: Adrenaline was fueling his flight or fight response, and he really want to go with flight, but he knew better than to turn your back on a bandit! He had to do this... Inspiration struck as he stabbed at his opponent again then kicked him between the legs, making him collapse to the ground. [9:57:32 PM | Edited 9:57:55 PM]Kamenriderfire "I'll leave the finishing blow to you." *He says putting his sword back into his scabbard.* [10:00:20 PM | Edited 10:01:47 PM] Dragonborn3: He looks at Drake, confused. Then he sees the blood and bodies and realizes he can't here screaming. He'd killed someone and he was expected to again. He could feel the bile start to rise in his throat... [10:04:18 PM]Kamenriderfire "Well... Come on do it finish him. What are you waiting for?" [10:08:21 PM] Dragonborn3: "I.. I've never.. I've never killed anyone. N-Not even a bandit." The man moved to get up and Will's foot smashed into his temple, knocking him out. [10:09:12 PM]Kamenriderfire "You want me to do it?" [10:12:58 PM] Dragonborn3: He nodded, hurrying to the edge of the camp and trying to keep his breakfast down. [10:16:56 PM]Kamenriderfire *Drake pulls out his sword from his scattered, and walks over to the bandit. He takes a second and positioned himself and then swings down and slices the bandit's head off his shoulders. Drake cleans off his sword on the grass and puts it back in his scabbard .* "Are you okay William?" *He runs over to his friend.* [10:23:47 PM] Dragonborn3: He nods, breathing hard to try and stay calm. "Just.. Just need a moment." The smell of burning flesh was making his stomach twist in his gut. "Upwind.. Gotta go upwind." [10:25:35 PM]Kamenriderfire "Will what's wrong? Are you hurt?" *Drake says with genuine concern and anxiousness in his voice.* [10:28:44 PM] Dragonborn3: "It smells so bad, Drake, and I did that to him. I'm no knight, I'm just a coward who can only kill on accident. But I couldn't let him get you. You're my friend..." [10:29:39 PM]Kamenriderfire "It's all right, you were not thinking straight... I know you would have done better if you weren't so unprepared. I don't blame you" [10:35:49 PM] Dragonborn3: "Drake, I don't want to kill people." [10:37:50 PM]Kamenriderfire "What do you mean... That's what you signed up for isn't it, to be a hero and a knight?" [10:44:53 PM] Dragonborn3: "Why do heroes and knights get praised for murd-" the breeze brought the sickeningly cloying smell of burnt bandit and he doubled over to vomit. "I'm so damn weak..." [10:40:12 AM]Kamenriderfire "It's not murder will, we were just defending ourselves. Like anyone should... You're not weak you may just have to get used to real combat." [10:45:04 AM] Dragonborn3: "We didn't have to attack first... That's not defense! We acted just like bandits just now, Drake, not knights." [6:44:09 PM]Kamenriderfire "Maybe I went in a little too... Hotheaded." [6:45:01 PM] Dragonborn3: "I don't know, I might be completely wrong..." [6:52:20 PM]Kamenriderfire "all right you can choose where we stop." he says trying to help his friend to his feet. [6:53:48 PM] Dragonborn3: He looks at Drake and smiles shakily. "Sorry about making us walk more.." [6:55:15 PM]Kamenriderfire "It's okay William, let's just keep going...Just keep your eye out for any more bandits." [6:55:33 PM] Dragonborn3: He nods, face set, as he uses his spear as a makeshift walking stick as he starts walking again. [6:57:32 PM]Kamenriderfire "Did they hurt you William?" Drake says as he tries to help his friend walk through the forest. [6:58:54 PM] Dragonborn3: "No, no I'm okay.. What about you?" [7:00:44 PM]Kamenriderfire "No not at all , well maybe my hand but nothing I can't patch up easily." [7:03:13 PM] Dragonborn3: He stopped and looked at his friend, worried. "What happened?" [7:09:07 PM]Kamenriderfire "he cut my hand that's why I lost my sword." [7:10:11 PM] Dragonborn3: "Can I see it?" He slips his pack off and starts getting out his boiled cloth. "I've seen my cuts mended enough that I can do it in my sleep." [7:13:03 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right you can see it, but it's not anything worth worrying about." He holds out his head for his friend to see, it is bleeding massively. [7:14:45 PM] Dragonborn3: He frowns, then forces Drake to sit down and lay back. William moves his friends hand carefully, "this is not something you can just 'patch up', Drake..." [7:16:57 PM]Kamenriderfire "Sure I can, we should not really stop right now. We're kind of exposed." [7:17:45 PM] Dragonborn3: "Just stop moving." He says firmly, acting like the healer's did. He wondered if they panicked like he was and didn't show it. He wrapped up Drake's hand firmly. "I'll do better later. Keep it lifted up, okay?" [7:20:16 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right thank you for the help." [7:20:31 PM] Dragonborn3: "If I was better at fighting you might not have gotten hurt, so I'm at least going to help this way." He helps Drake to his feet and starts walking again. [7:25:53 PM] Dragonborn3: He laughs once. "Drake, I go to one of the best training schools in the kingdom. If the teachers can't teach me, how can you?" He mutters, looking away to hide his reddening face. It doesn't ring a bell..." Damn it, he was sure his face was hot enough to cook on now. "So when they started stinging you all over your body, what did you decide to do? Oh yeah I remember run around like a maniac until you fell in a swamp." [8:24:23 PM] Dragonborn3: "I wasn't running like a maniac!" He protests, turning to face Drake, frowning. "It was just really fast!" [8:26:49 PM]Kamenriderfire "See your face is bright red again, I still know what makes you tick." He says letting out a small laugh. "Don't worry with you and I together again we can both become better knights. you can teach me the healing stuff, and I'll teach you how to handle yourself in real combat." [8:27:37 PM] Dragonborn3: "Fine, whatever, just stop bringing up embarrassing stuff... I was seven!" Those were NOT the things he wanted remembered... All cute and fluffy." drake says in a mocking tone of voice, obviously being lighthearted but was being serious on what he thought. [8:48:30 PM] Dragonborn3: "I'm not a sheep!" He protests rather loudly. Why was that /always/ the comparison people made?! "I'm not cute or fluffy!" [8:56:56 PM] Dragonborn3: His face went even redder as he tried to figure out what he could even say. Finally he turned and stalked off in the direction they'd been going in the first place. [8:58:54 PM]Kamenriderfire "Dude where you going, we shouldn't split up!" Drake says trying to catch up with his friend. [8:58:35 PM] Dragonborn3: "We're not. We were going this way." He says flatly, trying to calm down. [9:05:48 PM]Kamenriderfire "I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt your feelings William... It's just me getting a little too carried away again." [9:07:15 PM] Dragonborn3: "You didn't. Forget it. We need to find a place to camp." [9:09:44 PM]Kamenriderfire "All right." The two walk for several more minutes before finding a good spot to rest. " what you think about here?" "Looks fine." He sets his pack down and gets a tiny shovel out to start making a fire pit. [9:15:50 PM]Kamenriderfire "I'm getting really really tired William so just give me a minute to..." Drake falls unconscious. [9:15:49 PM] Dragonborn3: "Oh damn it!" He curses, dropping the shovel and running over to check the bandage. [9:19:40 PM]Kamenriderfire you see that his bandage is completely soaked through as well as a bit of his armor. He obviously was more injured than he led you to believe. [9:19:23 PM] Dragonborn3: "You thrice damned idiot!" He growls, practically ripping armor from Drake to find the injuries. Why hadn't he said anything?! [9:24:14 PM]Kamenriderfire Drake remains unconscious for the next several minutes, before he wakes up again. [9:24:15 PM] Dragonborn3: He has been partially bandaged and William is being none to gentle treating Drake's wound by stitching them closed and wrapping them in fresh cloth. [9:28:43 PM]Kamenriderfire "Hey... What did I miss?" Drake says in a low shaky voice trying to sit up straight. [9:27:20 PM] Dragonborn3: Playing dirty, William digs a knuckle into a cut as he pushes Drake back down. "You missed several chances to NOT risk death, you idiot!" [9:31:16 PM]Kamenriderfire "Ah gad! what the heck William?!" [9:41:58 PM] Dragonborn3: "You shut up. If you had told me about all these damn injuries, I would be a lot less angry right now!" [9:42:48 PM]Kamenriderfire "I didn't know... I swear, I'm not in idiot!" [9:43:24 PM] Dragonborn3: "You would have to be to not notice the blood soaking your armor and clothes!" [9:44:42 PM]Kamenriderfire "I'm sorry..." [9:47:19 PM] Dragonborn3: "Well, you better be. With you so injured you pass out, you can't help out with anything for a day or two at least. Which means I have to keep us both alive! We're going to die..." [9:49:33 PM]Kamenriderfire "Will be fine... All we just have to do is relax here for a while as long as I'm incapacitated it gives us time to catch up." he says with obvious pain in his voice trying to cover up the pain with attitude. [9:51:34 PM] Dragonborn3: "Idiot." He mutters, pulling a stitch closed. "If I didn't know better I'd say you'd planned this..." [9:52:51 PM]Kamenriderfire "Of course not... Why did I do that?" He lets out a small laugh. [9:54:39 PM] Dragonborn3: "Probably trying to get me to shine or some other philosophical crud like that." I said and what exactly [9:57:49 PM | Edited 9:57:58 PM]Kamenriderfire "Would be wrong with my plan William, what's wrong with wanting to see you excel?" [10:00:54 PM] Dragonborn3: "I excel at hurting myself and others, tripping, bumping into things, and basically messing up!" "William give yourself some more credit, you are a fantastic person. I know you can do it if you put yourself to the challenge, unless you think I'm in idiot in that respect. " He lays back on able to sit up straight anymore without the pain being too intense. [10:09:16 PM] Dragonborn3: "You obviously aren't a good judge of wounds..." He mutters, sitting back and sighing. "I just don't want you to die because I'm not good enough..." [10:12:01 PM]Kamenriderfire "William Please stop talking like that If you are as bad as you say then I should fear for my life." He grumbles. "Do I have to stitch your mouth shut too?" [10:23:06 PM]Kamenriderfire "That's a little violent don't you think William?" He says letting out a hearty laugh. [10:23:47 PM] Dragonborn3: "Only if you resist." He can't help but smile a little. Drake's cheer almost always infected William. [10:29:48 PM]Kamenriderfire " to be serious William... Thank you for healing me, I really do appreciate it. And I really didn't know my wounds with a severe." He says smiling at his friend. [10:31:17 PM] Dragonborn3: "Just take better care of yourself, okay? No more running into bandit camps." [10:32:43 PM]Kamenriderfire "i promise, knights honor." [10:32:52 PM] Dragonborn3: "You aren't a knight just yet." He points out. [10:34:44 PM]Kamenriderfire "Yeah but I will be,I'll be greater than one of the Knights of the round table." [10:34:52 PM] Dragonborn3: "Now you're delirious from blood loss!" He laughs, shaking his head. [10:38:16 PM]Kamenriderfire "Are you questioning my skill?" I know I won't last out here without you around." "well then,I'll make sure to bury your body if I find it." [4:59:24 PM] Dragonborn3: "...fine. Just go then." [5:00:40 PM | Edited 5:01:57 PM] Kamenriderfire: "OK William then see you later." Drake starts to go into the forest. [5:03:40 PM] Dragonborn3: "No you won't." He says quietly, sitting by the fire pit solemnly. [5:06:05 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake walks through the forest for several hours before finding a nice shady tree and setting up camp around it. [5:12:37 PM] Dragonborn3: He ate what was left of the hunt and started working on his equipment, getting it into the best condition he could. He spent hours making sure he got everything just right. [5:14:42 PM] Kamenriderfire: After Drake set up camp he went out a little further into the forest to hunt. After an hour of hunting he was able to come back with a small rabbit, True it wasn't much but he was able to skin it and cook it relatively fast. He set up a snare and went about exploring his area. He felt.. hollow. He had driven his best and only friend away, and the only chance he had to survive was to not be himself... Nothing else especially not his friend. [5:37:37 PM] Dragonborn3: The next day passed in a haze. His trap had caught a raccoon and he slit it's throat while it scratched and bit at his hand. The first life he had ever deliberately taken. It didn't seem to bother him at all... [5:54:32 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake woke up early the next day and quickly went to work making a bow and arrow for himself.sure it was not his best weapon, but he thought he might need it in case he needed to hunt or maybe even for some long-range defense. [6:01:43 PM] Dragonborn3: He had skinned and cleaned the kill without doing much as scratch to himself. It was quite the accomplishment. He started turning the bones and teeth into a new trap. [6:04:46 PM] Kamenriderfire: after Drake finished building his new weapon, he decided that he should probably leave some sort of indicator for his friend to know where he went. So Drake found a relatively easy to find tree and left a small arrow in the wood. Drake new in his heart that he may have stormed out a little prematurely. However he decided that he made his choice and he had to live with it. So he was resolute and not turning back to find his friend, is his friend found him he would travel with him again but if not the likelihood of them seeing each other was small. [6:12:21 PM] Dragonborn3: William had no intention of leaving the spot he knew Drake could find again. He went to set up his experimental trap up and then just sat in camp, doing nothing. [6:14:14 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake continued walking through the forest for hours, the night had come by Drake kept walking. "I'm getting absolutely nowhere, there's got to be town or some other landmark.this is ridiculous." Drake mumbled to himself under his breath. [6:18:00 PM] Dragonborn3: He expanded his knowledge of the forest around camp. He knew a mile all around it by heart now, feeling more and more as he let more of himself go. A week had passed and William had still not found him, Drake began to get worried and decided to turn back and find his friend. [7:08:54 PM] Dragonborn3: William could not remember the last time he'd thought about seeing Drake. He had long since trapped most of the mile he'd surveyed, rotating which ones were active when he got low on food. He didn't even look the same anymore. [7:12:35 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake returned to the camp that day after he had started to turn around. There was no sign of his friend anywhere. "William where did you go?!" Drake thought to himself. [7:15:17 PM] Dragonborn3: The camp itself showed some signs of occupation. Dried furs and bones, mostly. William had gone to the little rivelet for water and was returning quietly when he saw someone in his camp. He ducked behind a tree quickly to watch. [7:16:46 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake sat at the campfire examining Williams handiwork, trying to figure out how long it had been since his friend was at the camp. [7:22:50 PM] Dragonborn3: It seemed to Drake that, at most, William had been gone and hour.

He changed his grip on his spear, getting ready in case the intruder was violent. He would wait. Watch. Learn. [7:25:30 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake let out a small sigh and then started looking around the camp for some kind of trail to see which way will you might have gone. [7:28:18 PM] Dragonborn3: The intruder was looking for him? His eyes narrowed as he moved a few yards back and climbed up at tree he kept his bundle of sling rocks. [7:30:34 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake started to head northeast, that is where he assumes William went based on some of the signs from the camp. [7:33:24 PM] Dragonborn3: He sifted through his rocks and threw it to drake's left while he drew his spear back. He'd wait until he wasn't looking before he threw it... [7:34:07 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake turns his head to react to the sound. [7:36:36 PM] Dragonborn3: The spear flew through the air swiftly, and it was only the last remaining reluctance to take human life that kept his aim focused on Drake's sword arm. [7:40:07 PM] Kamenriderfire: the spear pierces Drake's flash with surprising accuracy, Drake doubles over on the ground in pain. [7:41:15 PM] Dragonborn3: He dropped to the ground quickly, running over as he drew his knife. He'd end this quickly if he had too. [7:43:42 PM] Dragonborn3: He put his knife to the throat of the intruder. His voice was rough from disuse. "You can die or leave, trespasser..." [7:45:22 PM] Kamenriderfire: finally is able to get a good look at his attacker. His eyes go wide as he sees it was William. "WHY IN HELL!?" [7:47:19 PM] Dragonborn3: The blank eyes widen in surprise and William's determination bled away quickly. "D-Drake..?" [7:49:08 PM] Kamenriderfire: "YOU PIERCED MY HAND WITH YOUR SPARE YOU IDIOT!" [7:50:30 PM] Dragonborn3: The knife fell to the ground as he backed away, growing pale. What had he done? How could he have hurt his friend? [8:14:12 PM] Kamenriderfire: "you WANT TO HELP ME HERE SO i DON'T BLEED OUT?" Drake's voice was weak now from the shouting that wine was barely comprehensible to William's ears. [8:18:21 PM] Dragonborn3: All of the defenses he'd built up over the week crumbled away as he got the bandages out. He carefully pulled the spear out and wrapped the hand tightly, cutting blood flow to give it a chance to clot. [8:19:25 PM] Kamenriderfire: " I missed you too, this was quite a welcome back William." [8:22:54 PM] Dragonborn3: "I d-didn't mean to!" His voice was still rough, and now he had started crying. "I didn't recognize you! You said you'd come back in a few d-days and then you didn't...." [8:24:28 PM] Kamenriderfire: " Well I''assumed you'd come and find me when you were ready. I left you markers all along my way so you could find me." [8:25:47 PM] Dragonborn3: "I would've gotten lost! I didn't want to leave and miss you! Even if you h-hated me..." [8:27:25 PM] Kamenriderfire: " Well... I didn't hate you before you through a spear through my hand. But now I'm not so sure ." [8:28:52 PM] Dragonborn3: He grits his teeth and sits back after tying off the bandage, looking down at the ground. Any chance he'd had before was gone now, he just knew it... He laughs, getting up and taking his spear to looking for a river. [5:54:36 PM] Kamenriderfire: " yea...ok" [6:01:23 PM] Dragonborn3: He walked for a while before finding a river to fill his water skin in. Filling it completely, he walked back to camp. "Got some water!" [6:07:00 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake had fallen asleep by the time his friend came back. [6:09:52 PM] Dragonborn3: He smiled and started the fire. He needed to boil the water anyway. He set the tiny pot down outside the fire and starting tossing twigs at his friend. [6:18:14 PM] Kamenriderfire: *drake jumps slightly at this but continues sleeping.* [6:22:33 PM] Dragonborn3: Frowning, he tosses one a little harder, aiming for his chest and hitting his leg instead. [6:23:06 PM] Kamenriderfire: Drake does not even feel that one, but his snoring stops after a few seconds. [6:41:33 PM] Dragonborn3: His plan successful, William looks around to think of something to do.
