Arden had enough, crying, both sad and angry, he kicked a stone into the nearby property, hoping it would destroy something. Maybe it made a dent in a car, or hit a window. He half hoped for the sound of an impact, but there was only rustling of leaves. Unsatisfying. It was unfair. So unfair. HE got suspended from school, for fighting. It was Steve that had started it. The annoying Terrior from 9th grade always bullied him. Took away his note book. But it was always him who got caught, and noone spoke up to set the record right. Now he was suspended, and at home the wrath of his stepfather awaited him. If he was lucky, he'd only be beaten. More likely he'd spend both his suspension time and the holidays confined to his room. And that fucking bastard got away with it. He always got away with it! Arden wanted to kill something, someone. He so had enough, and he felt so helpless. Out of an impulse, the young stag decided to not go home, but into the forest. The trees made him more at east, although today it was more likely he'd use them as targets to ram his adolescent antlers into and scrape the bark of until there was none left. He found something better. Way better. Apparently some forester had left his axe behind. It was just laying there on the ground. Arden picked it up. He'd just chop trees until his anger had subsided. He started chopping, but with every blow he thought of Steve and his teacher and his stepfather and he just wanted to destroy the whole world. Grinding his teeth, he blew away at the tree, not even locking. "Stop! Please! I beg you!" Surprised he stopped the axe mid-blow. He had never seen a creature like that. She was a fur, like him. But... she was tiny, and she had wings! Her arms were wrapped protectively around two tiny, even smaller winged babies, half translucent in their helplessness. They were crying so weakly, he hadn't even heard it until now. They had been hiding in a hole in the tree, apparently their home. And the mother was bracing for the merciless impact of the axe, trying to protect herself and her babies from certain death. Arden lowered the axe and blinked. "Are you... a fairy?" Arden suddenly felt bad for destroying their home. He hadn't known such creatures even existed. He had only known his anger. The fairy fell to her knees. "I am. I'll grant you a whish. Anything you want. Just, please, leave us alone." Arden looked at her dumpstruck for a few seconds. "Any thing?" he asked. He dropped his axe. The fairy nodded eagerly, realising she actually had a hope of surviving this. "I want to get away with things." Arden said. "I've had enough, I always take the blame even if its not my fault. From now on, I want to be able to do what *I* want, and everyone else take the blame." If the insult and injury hadn't been so fresh, maybe he'd have asked for something else. Rhiches maybe, or eternal life. Or ... more wishes? But in this moment, all he fealt was jealousy and injustice. And he would have no more of that. The fairy gulped. She looked almost frightened by that wish. "Are... are you sure? You must know, there are consequences. There are always consequences. You might escape the blame, but you won't be able to escape your own guilt." Arden nodded, determined. He was pretty sure he wouldn't feel guilty for a bit of fairness in life. There was a bright flash, and then Arden suddenly sat on his butt a few yards back. The fairy and her little ones were gone. Deep in thoughts he returned home. He wasn't convinced that his wish had actually been granted, that any of this had actually happened. Now he had to deal with his stepfather but at least he didn't feel like crying or destroying things anymore. Dad was furious. But differently that expected. "This fucking bastard. How dare him to suspend you! I'll give the school a call." He told Arden, fuming. No hitting. No confinement to his room. But his stepdad made angry calls to the headmaster, threatening him with his lawyer. The next day, Arden went back to school. His classmates were surprised, but, the suspension had been revoked, the teacher told them. Had the wish worked, after all? Arden wasn't sure. "You got lucky, ugly." Steve greeted him with a grin. That was the oportunity to test it, for real. The teacher was right there, in front of everyone he took a step towards Steve, hit him into the stomach and when he buckled forward, another hit on the nose. It cracked and hurt his hand, but it felt like it was Steve's nose that was broken. For a second he feared he had gone too far. He looked to the teacher, who glared furious. "Steve! Enough!" Steve had just stood up and been ready to retaliate. "Come with me, to the headmaster. This is one fight too many you've been in." Arden looked about as much in disbelief as the rest of the class. Although some murmors were like. "Man that asshole really had it coming..." - as if Arden had done nothing at all. A grin formed on his lips. It worked! It actually really, properly worked! He had been granted a wish by a fairy, and for once he was the lucky guy. The one who had gotten away with it. ...... "He'll see you now. Follow me." Heather was led into the rhichly decorated office. The doe was working undercover and had spent three years infiltrating the crime syndicate. They caught the little fish: Dealers, trafficers, but there were always more. Few knew the boss face, only that it was a stag. Finally she would see him face to face. Veil lifted. A first step to maybe dig up some dirt. Her jaw dropped. It was Arden! Same Arden who had been in her class all those years ago. She even had had a crush on him. He had impressive antlers now. "Hi Heath... how's the P.D. treating you? Hoping to get a promotion?" Arden asked her innocently, with a smile Heather started to shiver. He knew! He must have known all along. That meant ... this was all a trap. "Please, Arden... I didn't know it was you... I won't... I won't tell them... I promise." "Don't call me Arden please, I no longer go by that name." He said smoothly and came over. The hand on her shoulder sent another shiver through her, but it didn't feel like fear anymore. She blushed. "Here they call me Sergejev. Sounds more intimidating, but it has an exotic ring to it, doesn't it?" She nodded. Then she cried out in pain. 'Sergejev' slowly pulled the knife upwards, slicing her belly open as if it had a zipper. Her dress gaped open and her fur did, too exposing her entrails. All the while he held the trembling girl in an almost loving embrace. "I'm so sorry." He said empathically, while she stared at her own, exposed insides. "You understand that I can't let you go anymore, right?" Whimpering she nodded. It was odd, but she was relieved not to see hate or anger in his face but compassion. Of course, he had to protect himself, she understood that. But it hurt so much... "Would you want to make love while you still can?" he asked, gently cupping his fingers over her crotch. It was moist. A shiver ran through her and her exposed entrails. "I know you had a crush on me. It's not too late..." he whispered. She had nearly passed out from the pain, but she nodded. She loved him for the fact that he spun her around, held by her arms, and took her from behind, even as her guts slipped out of her and to the floor. Dangling from her belly, they pulled with every thrust... but somehow she wasn't blaming him. She only wished it could last longer... By the time he came in her, she was no longer conscious. ...... The landscape looked like an alien planet. Tanktrails and craters gorged the terrain. Concrete ruins and ripped barbed wire marked the battlefield, and little red triangles were placed around the mine fields. The war had dragged on for twenty years. Millions had died, especially when both sides had started to use bioweapons and, eventually, nukes. But finally there would be peace! Emperor Sergejev sealed it with his signature under the cease-fire contract. There would be no reparations, and the allied would help rebuild the empire's economy for stability. In turn he'd resign from absolute power and establish a constitutional monarchy, with him as the representative head of state. A quite honorary position. It was only fair.
