A Night's Work
No, I don't plan on writing anything like this anytime soon. The reason why? I got part of this stuck in my head, I'll tell you what at the end, and I had to get it out, it was both annoying and a little disturbing. Since I'm always up for getting criticism, whether good or bad, I'm putting it up. Oh, and I'm not really sure if this is clean or not, so if you guys think it should be marked as Adult, I'll do that instead. Anyways... Listen [here](%5C) for how the cadence goes.
I decided that I'd tell you all
And as all of you now know
A terrible person lies inside
The kindness just a show
I had my blade, I'd found the one
It really wasn't hard
A quick lean to the middle
As if we weren't to part
Then began the ending
Of a love doomed from the start
My fingers wrapped around the hilt
I drew it from the sheath
I put an arm around the neck
Of the life I'd picked to take
The steel flashed through the air
And soon it met her flesh
A look of shock upon her face
Was all that I was left
The wound agape and crying red
As blood began to flow
I felt the life-force ebb away
The pulse began to slow
With nothing more except a smile
I laid her on the ground
And then I gave her just one gift
The slightest touch of lips
A kiss for the afterlife
Where we were soon to meet
Moments later I met her there
With little more than a shrug
I explained myself, an angel
A Fallen from on high
Once rejoicing in the Light
Now commanding for the Night
It was then I gave the choice
"Live again or die."
I told her what would happen
With either choice she'd make
Whether it was good or bad
Was the chance she'd have to take
"Should you chose to live again
You'll join me in the Night.
But should you chose your death right now
I swear to you I'll do my best
To bar you from the Light."
The fear set in, I knew it would
The mortal's fear of death
Little more than words were used
And then she chose my path
I held to her my outstretched paw
She grasped it firm in hand
The smallest grin upon my face
Was all I had to show
Before we both returned again
To the world you all know
Once more leaning over her
My lips were pressed to hers
I raised my head and smiled
Locking with her eyes
Her gaze, it was different now
Not worried much with life
They seemed to be intrigued with me
With what I'd left to hide
I took the knife, I pulled it out
The sound was sickening
Or perchance, it would have been
To one who was unlike me
She gasped at first, feeling pain
But soon she realized
That such little things as this
Wouldn't be her again
I'd freed her from her life
It was done, her soul was sold
Her mortal life was gone
Instead her life began anew
On a path far from the sun
But tonight would be a night
Purely that of joy
I found a place, she joined me there
I spent the night with her
And when we woke up in the morn
We both were arm in arm
An embrace, a small souvenir
From the night before aglow
With a smile, and a kiss
We rolled away, we spilt
She went her own way that day
With nothing left to mark her
Not even a line of scar
I haven't seen her since
A new demoness in hiding
As a brown-furred wolfess.
Yes, I know it doesn't always rhyme, but I'm not a poet and this is just straight out of my head and onto the screen. Now, for you guys to understand why I had to at least write it down, is I had the 5th stanza stuck in my head while I was trying to sleep. It's bothersome and kinda creepy to have that playing over and over, so I got it out. Now, on the subject of my 14th chapter, I'm workin on it, shouldn't be too much longer. Anyway, that's all for now.
