Redwall: Matthias's Break
Matthias lay on his bed thinking to himself. He felt frustrated with the mystery of where Martin's
sword could be hidden. The young mouse sighed, trying to figure out the riddles they had found.
He heard a knock at his door.
"Come in." He sighed. Basil Stag Hare stepped in, closing the door after him.
"Still trying to figure out that riddle?" He asked.
"I haven't stopped." Matthias answered, "I- am that is. What does that mean anyway? Argh! I
can't figure this out."
"Ah, you're a bright young lad, Matthias, you'll figure it out eventually." Basil encouraged him.
Matthias sat up as Basil sat at the end of his bed.
"I suppose your right." He sighed, "I can't think straight. I'm too worried about Cluny.
He could attack at any moment."
"You need to relax, what." Said Basil, "You're tired. You'll never figure anything out like this."
"Relax?" Matthias scoffed, "While Cluny's out there, waiting for us to drop our guard? Are you
mad?"
"You've got nothing to worry about, lad." Basil smiled at him, "The Redwallers are strong fighters,
they'll be able to hold off the blighter if he tries anything."
"I suppose you're right." Matthias sighed. He got up and stretched, "Maybe I do need a break."
Basil admired the young mouse's body as he stretched. He tried not to become too aroused by his body.
"So, how about we go do something. Just us two." Said Basil, standing up.
"Oh, all right." Matthias replied looking up at the taller hare, "Like what?"
A million different thoughts rushed through Basil's mind. He pushed them aside. He felt
attracted to Matthias, but he didn't want to say something stupid and scare him away. He looked
at Matthias, trying to control his arousal. Nobody ever wore trousers, nobody ever thought anything

Matthias held out the paper to Basil who just stared at it, unwilling to uncover his sheath with
either hand.

"All right." He answered. He recited the riddle, reading it from the paper. Basil kept trying

"Well, any ideas?" Matthias asked, finishing the riddle.
"None at all, lad." Basil answered. He was about to suggest something when they heard somebody
calling to them outside.
"Basil? Matthias? Are you two in there?" It was Cornflower.
"Yes, Cornflower, come in." Matthias answered. The young mouse opened the door for his friend.
"Supper's ready." She said, "Are you busy?"
"Afraid so, lass." Said Basil.
"We're trying to figure out Sir Martin's riddle."
"Oh, I see." Said Cornflower, "Have you made any progress?"
"None." Matthias sighed.
"You'll figure it out, Matthias." Cornflower encouraged, "Don't be too late for supper or else
it'll be all gone by the time you get there."
As Cornflower closed the door, Basil called to her.
"Oh, what are we having?"
"I helped cook some of that fish Matthias caught the other day." Cornflower called back from
outside.
Basil jumped to his feet.
"Aha! Wonderfull! I love-" He froze up when he realised he had left his hardened member uncovered
for Matthias to see.

"I can see why." Matthias answered.
The mouse reached over and ran a finger down the hare's large rabbithood. He withdrew his hand
for a moment.

"Of course. Don't be shy, lad." Basil winked. Matthias took the hares member in his hand and slowly
