"So... is this really the Lucario kingdom I've heard about?" Dana asked herself, peeking out from a bush, looking out towards the large, mountainous area ahead of her, with what appeared to be a town of sorts integrated into it. The Sinnoh-born researcher had been following a trail of clues she had been piecing together from various sources, telling her about a kingdom inhabited only by Lucario for the most part, with some other Pokémon given special passage or residence from time to time. It did sound like something out of a fairy tale, but the more she heard about it, the more determined she was to try to unravel the mystery surrounding it. She had spent the good part of three months following the breadcrumbs, and now that the kingdom was within reach, she couldn't really believe what she was seeing. It was all in plain sight, an area swarming with Lucario, some of which were shiny, a few sporting unique colourations - it all appeared to be true.

"I can hardly believe such a place exists... the only thing is how am I going to get in there without causing panic?" She pondered, trying to think of her available options. She had no clue as if they'd see any outsider that wasn't a Pokémon a threat, and the last thing she wanted was to plunge an entire kingdom into chaos. Maybe she'd be able to send a drone in first to get some overhead pictures, or she could even scout from the air atop a flying Pokémon - thoughts were coming to mind, but it was how to execute them.

"Maybe... just maybe..." She looked towards the entrance of the kingdom - it seemed that every so often, the two Lucario guarding it would go on break, leaving their posts. It was a long shot, but perhaps the next time they went off guard, she'd be able to sneak past, leaving her free to scout the kingdom. She had been in various situations before where she had to avoid detection, so it wasn't outside of her skill level to do so.

Once the Lucario had left their posts again, Dana wasted no time in quietly skulking past the outpost, keeping close to the bushes and rocks in the process. "Here we go~" She beamed, stepping foot into the kingdom itself, though once again having to dive into the closest shrubbery to conceal herself.

"So far, so good..." She said under her breath - setting foot into the kingdom was an accomplishment all in itself, but now she had to figure out how to get around the place, as well as take notes and photos, all without being caught. "Now where'll be the best place to start?"

Before she even had a chance to ponder her options, she noticed the bushes she was using to hide herself being parted, a trio of Lucario looking down on her.

"Err..." She gulped.

"Looks like we've got some uninvited company - we've really got to talk to those guards at the outpost, how they managed to let a human slip by them is beyond me!" One of the two males exclaimed.

"Indeed, they should be more alert!" The second male responded, glaring at Dana. "But as for you, what are we gonna do with you? You know the location of our kingdom... and don't say you stumbled upon it by accident, we can tell by your aura that you tracked us down! Letting you go might put us all at risk!"

"Why don't we bring her to our leader?" The female intoned. "He's quite good at dealing with humans, considering he used to be one himself~"

"That's not a bad idea..." The males chuckled, grasping Dana's shoulders as they lifted her up - it was only then she noticed that these Lucario were sporting more humanoid builds, the males showing some muscle detail whilst the female had a perky set of breasts. "Come with us, human - you've got a date with our leader~"

"This... is gonna be bad, isn't it?" Dana questioned aloud.

The trio of Lucario were swift in bringing them to their chief, who was waiting for them in his home at the center of the village, although it was located a bit higher up compared to the other dwellings - it made sense, being their leader, it was only natural that he'd want to look down on them to ensure their safety at all times. Dana was silent all the while, quietly hoping that the leader would let her off with a slap on the wrist, if she was lucky. They placed her down on the ground, where she was being observed by several other Lucario, a mix of male and female.

"Chief, we've found a human trespasser who sneaked into our kingdom!" The female guard spoke aloud. "We do not know yet if she poses a threat to our way of life, so we've brought her here so you can personally pass judgment upon her!"

"A human trespasser, you say?" A deep, booming voice called back. "It's been quite some time since a human tried to get in..." Footsteps echoed as the chief moved forwards.

"Please, I can assure you, I mean no harm to you or your people!" Dana pleaded, the creature stepping into view. "I humbly ask that you show me mer...cy..." Her jaw hung low. Looking down at her was a towering beast of a Lucario, his fur a mix of grey and black hues, neatly highlighting his massive muscles. Piercing red eyes in a sea of black gazed at her. "Holy Miltank..."

"The Miltank are in a different area." He seemed to smirk. "We keep a herd close by so we've got access to fresh milk. I don't think that's what you've come here for now, is it?"

Dana just stared on in shock at the muscular 'mon, not knowing what to say. Seeing the other Lucario with more human builds was a shock in and of itself, this one looked like he'd put a Machamp to shame. Hell, he looked like he could take on a Machamp, Machoke, and an Incineroar all at the same time!

"Heh.. haven't had this reaction in quite some time~" He placed a paw on her shoulder, breaking her out of her stupor.

"You're... you're an actual Lucario?"

"Yup - well, it's a long story, I was a human long before I was a Lucario!"

Dana would have questioned that, but she remembered one of the guards saying that when they found her. "How?"

"There will be time for explanations once I've passed my judgment on you." He told her. "If you want to plead your case, now's your only chance!" He crossed his arms.

"You better be truthful as well! Hadou has passed judgment on so many creatures, people and Pokémon alike, that he's grown to figure out when people are lying!" One of the guards told her.

Dana gulped. "OK... ok... well, in all honesty, I'm a researcher, and I've been wanting to seek out the Lucario kingdom for quite some time now, after hearing about it in passing gossip and stories. I wanted to see how the residents lived, how they go about their day-to-day tasks, how they do with the other Pokémon who are lucky enough to dwell here, all that kind of stuff."

"I see... and were you looking to use that information for personal gain?" Hadou raised an eyebrow. "Being a researcher, you'd want to take those notes public, and that could lead to trouble - others would start seeking out our kingdom, either for puerile reasons, or to endanger us." He frowned.

"You... have a point there, I guess..." Dana sighed - she pretty much admitted there and then that her reasoning for this was all for her own gain. "I should have thought this through..."

"Yes, you should have." Hadou said in a stern tone. "Now that you've admitted to that, you're not going to be allowed to leave... but then again, you already sealed your fate when you crossed the border."

"What... do you mean?" She asked.

"Outside of other Pokémon, humans are forbidden within the Lucario kingdom. There's only one way for humans to enter the Lucario kingdom..."

"And that is?"

"You're to become a Lucario yourself~" He smirked.

"I... huh?"

"There's no other way - I will personally turn you into a Lucario, that way you can join us in the kingdom."

"You'll... turn me into a Lucario? How?" She went to question him, before again remembering that he claimed to have been a human beforehand... that would explain why most of the Lucario here had human builds.

"There are two ways - one would involve twisting and reshaping your aura, a slow process. The other is faster, and much more intimate."
