Chpt. 2:Two New member and an Eight Layer Popsicle

We arrived in an all white room to see the commander sitting in his chair. He spun around and said "We got trouble"

"What happen" Kori asked as he looked at the commander with a worried face." Nothing happen in the regards of demons" the commander said with one big purple eyebrow arched. "Then what did you call us here for" Taiyo asked with an annoyed tone. "Well the simple fact is that none of you have ever fully seen each others Nryoku (Tsuki and Taiyo excluded). Much less learned how to use them together as a team. I'm also sure Gurin doesn't know how he used his the last time, so I'm calling a mandatory training session" the commander finished as he turned around to the white desk and pushed a red button on the left corner. "Well he has a point" added Tsuki as he looked at me with a perplexed face." What is your Nryoku anyway" he asked still looking at me with the same face. "Honestly the commander told me earlier but I forgot I guess you'll have to see it in furson when we land to train" I said completely ignoring the fact that the wall on the right side of the room had started to slide down.

I spun around to see an absolutely enormous room ,it had to be as big as a football stadium. It was divided into four different sections. Each section was a certain time of year. (Winter, Autumn, Summer and Spring) "Buy the way I want you all to start calling me by my real name" yelled the purple leopard who some how had gotten all the way to the opposite side of the training field. "My name is Potaru and don't forget it" he added a wink to go in with that smart-ass tone that made me smirk.

"Well are we going to get stated or what" Taiyo asked as he stared to stretch. "All right every body time for show and tell" Potaru yelled from across the field (That meaning show everybody your Nryoku and tell them the name and what it does). Kori was up first (to Taiyo's displeasure) since I had completely forgotten what Potaru told me mine was called or what it did. "My first Nryoku is called Ice Stasis it lets me generate ice from my body ,and freeze solid anything I touch " Kori said as he walked over to the winter side of the training ground and touched a tree. We watched as his hands slowly covered in ice, and the tree he touched start to freeze solid.(That tree didn't disserve that) "My second Nryoku" he continued "Is called Flurry Amend " he walked about 3ft away from the tree and picked up a hand full of snow. His hand started to glow light blue and he tossed the snow at the frozen tree. The tree shattered like a mirror. "This Nryoku lets me change the density of snow and ice. (He made a cute sad face and said) I haven't learned the last technique for my Nryoku but I'll figure it out soon." then after that he sat down beside me and started to lecture " Whether you were told or not Gurin, each Nryoku has an ultimate technique. The better you learn how to use your Nryoku the closer you'll get to learning it"

"Oh oh me next" was all I heard before I saw a white streak of fur run across the training arena. It was Tsuki ."My Sunlight Nryoku is called Light Revolver" he held his hand out and a white long muzzled revolver with golden details appeared in his hand. "In the places where the bullets are suppose to go are extremely high powered light refractors that makes high intensity beams that can cut through anything ,even diamonds ,and I can change the level of intensity when ever I want to. I have to in here because it would cut through the plane if I didn't" he finished with a proud smirk on his face as turned to face a tree. (Please don't shoot the tree ,please don't shoot the tree) He shot the tree and it immediately caught fire. "My Moonlight Nryoku is called Shadow Lash" He waved his arm at Potaru "Is there a way you can make it darker in here I need really large shadows for this one" Potaru snapped twice and the direction of the lighting changed so that all the trees made long shadows. "Thank you" Tsuki yelled. He bent down towards the base of the tree. He clawed at the ground for a few seconds and then he picked up the trees shadow. He jerked the shadow hard and it turned into a slender 10ft long whip. "This weapon can slice through most things and can also cause its victim temporary or permanent paralysis " His movements were extremely fast and all I heard was a cracking noise near the tree he sat on fire earlier. We watched as the top of the tree slowly slid off the bottom. (That's the second tree today)

"Now its my turn" Taiyo stood up too excited to show off. "My Moonlight Nryoku is called Shadow Blunderbuss. Before you ask a blunderbuss is a gun that shoots scattering shots. I can control how many bullets come out , how they scatter, and what it hits and what it passes through" He held out his hand like his brother but his gun had a short narrow mussel and was black with silver details. "It collects darkness in its barrel and makes extremely corrosive poison bullets" He turned around and shot at the nearest tree. At least thirty bullets came out and they all hit their target. As soon as the bullets came in contact with the tree it started to melt. "Hey Potaru brighten it up in here" Taiyo commanded. Once the lighting returned to normal he started again "My Sunlight Nryoku is called Magna Mallet" He held out his hand again but this time a clear long handled mallet appeared. The handle of the mallet was at least 8ft long and the mallet head was about the size of a bass drum and it was totally see through. " When I let light collect in the head of the mallet I can magnify the light and use it to melt the ground around me, after that the mallet lets me to control the lava it creates" after he pointed the mallet at the ground and a yellow beam shot from it. The ground in front of him melted and he began to used the mallets power to end the melting trees existence. After the lava swept by there was no trace that a tree ever existed there. Proud of his misdeeds Taiyo sat down and waited for me to go.

"Hey I finally remember what he told me" I yelled as the light bulb in my head went off. "Okay the name of my Nryoku is Botanical Armory. It lets me turn any plant into a weapon, but what weapon I get depends on the plants origins. It also gives me the knowledge I need to use what ever weapon I happen to get" I stepped into the fall section of the training arena and pulled some petals off of the blooming cherry blossom tree.(Now I think all I have to do is feel the same feeling I felt when I was attacked by that giant fly...................what was it....................I know what it was, it was the need to protect myself and others). After my mind processed that thought my hands started to glow the pink color of the cherry blossom petals. The blossoms turned into Japanese throwing stilettos ( a Japanese stiletto is a small dagger with a tapered edge) I quickly turned around and threw them at Kori face. He got hit in the face with the petals I started out with. "It works the reverse way to" I snickered as Kori stared at me with a very surprised/confused face. "My second Nryoku is called Emerald Regenisis. It lets me heal anything by bonding it back together with microscopic fragments of emerald. Making it tougher than it was to start out with." I held up my hand and aimed it for the tree that was sliced in half (and still burning) A green light surrounded it and the tree started to reassemble (and extinguish). When I had finished you couldn't even tell that it was sliced in half earlier.

I finally got finished and sat on the ground next to Kori who punched me for the whole throwing sharp objects at him thing. "Why the hell did you throw those at me" he asked with a slightly angered look in his eyes. "I wanted to see your expression and trust me it was well worth the punch" I giggled as he looked at me still angry. "Well I'm mad at you now ,was that worth the punch" he asked with his nose in the air. (Shit) what am I going to do now............................(YES) I have an idea. I leaned over and stared to kiss him. He resisted at first (for about 6 seconds) but he couldn't resist me and we stared to make-out. "We got a demon this time and it's a big one" Potaru yelled from across the arena. "Are you guys ready to go" he asked with that same purple eyebrow arched. We all yelled back in unison "Hell Yeah". "Well all right then" Potaru yelled. He snapped his fingers (Claws whatever) three times and the floor to the arena disappeared (SHIT).

I heard Taiyo and Tsuki yell "What the Hell" as we fell from the plane. We had to be about four thousand feet off the ground. I let Out my wings on instinct and grabbed Tsuki. I saw Kori generated a pair of wings from ice and he grabbed Taiyo. Now we were about to two hundred feet from the ground and we could already see the Akuma Toguchi waiting for us. We had landed in a lush green field, with plenty of tress and flowers (Thank God) and it was about midday from what I could tell so there was a rather pleasant breeze. After I got through looking around I saw Tsuki reading a text message on his cell phone. " Potaru said that the demon that is suppose to come through this gate should be a Rochi Kamakiri . Now does any one know what that is cause I have no clue what so ever." He asked us, with his cute clueless face. But we didn't have time to answer him because the Akuma Toguchi stared to open.

The doors slowly opened........................and nothing came out. We took a few steps back. A few seconds after we stepped back an absolutely enormous Brown praying Mantis stepped out of the portal. It had to be at least two stories high. It had the body of a regular praying mantis but the wings and coloration remained me of a roach (I hate roaches) "Okay guys lets squash this pest so we a can go back to what we were doing" I blushed a little when I heard Kori say that. I picked up the nearest plant I saw it was a smilax (A long vine with thorns that grow up and down the entire length with small yellow flowers) I grabbed the spots where the thorns weren't and used my Nryoku. The smilax plant turned into a long green staff ,the flowers and thorns turned into blades that headed each end of the staff ,now I was set. Kori and Taiyo went to work. Taiyo collected the light in his mallet that he need and melted the ground around him to make lava. His first strike was for the legs, that quickly melted off. The Rochi Kamakiri hit the ground hard and it shook the surrounding area. Kori Jumped on the Rochi Kamakiri abdomen and froze it solid. He froze his foot and crashed down into its abdomen. It shattered into a million pieces and flew everywhere. After that the Rochi Kamakiri stopped moving. "Hey you guys we didn't even get a chance to do anything" but before I could get finished complain I saw the chunks of frozen Rochi Kamakiri insides flying backwards.

"Are you happy now Gurin it's regenerating just for you" Taiyo said with an annoyed look on his face ( Hehe oops). This time the Rochi Kamakiri attacked first and it attacked hard and fast. It managed to hit all four of us back on ours butts. "Well what are we going to do now Gurin." Kori asked with the same (slightly less) annoyed face as Taiyo. I thought for a few second and had a small realization. "If we cut its head off that should be it right. If you Guys can hold him still for a minute me and Tsuki should be able to lop its head off." I suggested. "That's not half bad for your first plan Gurin now lets set it in action" Taiyo said as he picked up his mallet and started to melt a large amount of earth around us. He waved the mallet up and moved the giant pond of lava above the Rochi Kamakiri abdomen. I heard Taiyo yell "Kori go Touch the lava above the Rochi Kamakiri " (Oh I see where there going with this. ) Kori hopped up a near by tree and leap of the top. He touched the lava and it froze into giant chunk of rock. The giant rock squished the Rochi Kamakiri and held him still ,now it was our turn. I took off the ground and Tsuki used his Light Revolver to start cutting off the head from the ground . Soon after Tsuki started cutting he yelled "Gurin I can't cut all the way through it I got most of the head off from the front but the exoskeleton is to hard for me to cut all the way through" I flew towards its head and started hacking with the bladed (I made another word) end of my staff. It took a few tries but the head finally flew off (I was soaked in brown gooey stuff) I landed next to Tsuki and stood there drenched in guts"Ugh I feel so gross now can we go I need a serious shower" I was freaking out a little. Kori ran over and hugged me (further squished the brown goop into my new shirt) "Great job honey you did excellent" He yelled as he gave me another death hug. "You too Tsuki you two make a good combo" yelled Taiyo from where he was hugging Tsuki in the same manner.

Then all of a sudden we saw chunks of Rochi Kamakiri flying backwards (again). "How the hell is this happening we just cut the damn things head off" Taiyo yelled as we slowly backed away. As we backed away I had a significant thought "Hey you guys doesn't Rochi translate into Roach in English" I asked knowing I was correct anyway "Yes" Tsuki, Taiyo and Kori all yelled at once (SHIT) "I just remembered roaches can live for over 14 day with their heads cut off" I said with a rather panicked face "Now what are we going to do" Kori asked staring at the Rochi Kamakiri's head laying on the ground. All of a sudden we saw two figures appear out of no where in front of the Rochi Kamakiri headless body. One was a huge cat looking creature he had to be about 6'11 and he was super muscular (very sexy if I do say so myself) He was wearing an all red shirt with no sleeves with a single black leaf in the middle of it. His pants were baggy black & red cargo pants with several chains going back and forth across the legs. He was all black with red spots and stripes in his fur. Big Red jumped down off the tree and sliced the Rochi Kamakiri in half easily. "Be careful it regenerates" I warned him as it stared to reassemble itself. Just then I heard Big Red yell " Leonikuz send that thing to hell". I watches as the lions fur changed (Along with his shirt, jeans and the letters on his collar) from the golden brown to deep dark imperil red. His mane and claws burst into flames and his eyes turned red. "I got it" yelled the lion in a gruffer voice than what I thought he would have. He jumped out of the tree and went on a melee spree as he attacked the headless Rochi Kamakiri. In the process he absolutely incinerated the Rochi Kamakiri. When he got finished there was nothing left but a burned spot where it was standing.

The lion changed back to his normal colors and proceed to jump on Big Red's back. He yelled "Shinigama that was fun can we do it again" (hmmm his voice fits him this time) he had to have the cutes expression of enthusiasm in the world on his face because I couldn't help smiling at the site of him. "No you burned the thing to ashes the is absolutely no way we could" said the big read cat-thing in a kind tone. "Oh well it was full while it lasted all ninety seconds" said the little lion with an optimistic smile. "Oh are you guys okay back there" they asked in unison. I stepped forward "Yeah were fine but we wouldn't have been if you guys didn't come along" I stated with a thankful look on my face. "Don't mention it if you guys would have pulled off that maneuver again you would have killed it those things can only regenerate a certain number of times" the little lion said with the same enthusiastic smile on his face. "By the way nice Scythe Cheetah" Taiyo added. (I could see the veins pop up through his forehead) "I'M A FUCKING OCELOT. DO I LOOK LIKE A DAMN CHEETAH .ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND" he yelled at the top of his lungs flailing his arms too and fro. "Sorry about that you guys he is very sensitive about his species" giggled the lion. " Oh my gosh we forgot to ask who you guys were" Kori said with a slightly apologetic face. The little lion started to giggle "Well my name is Leonikuz I'm eighteen and the one yelling at your friend is Shinigama but you can just call him Shini he's 19. We have been together ever since I can remember we go from town to town and help people out with their monster problem, but its really hard to get around and we have never really had a house." Kori face lit up with and idea "Why don't you guys join our team that way you get to help people and you have a place to stay" Leonikuz face lit up with happiness "That would be awesome but where do you guys live" and as if on cue Potaru flew the plane low to the ground and landed it. "Do you eavesdrop on us or something" Taiyo asked in a smart-ass tone. "Only on Tuesdays'" Potaru replied in a matching smart-ass tone. "So are you guys going to join our little family because every team has to have six member" as usual that big purple eyebrow when up as he asked that question. Leonikuz stood there and pondered the thought for a few seconds "Well I'll have to ask my colleague. HEY Shinigama do you think we should join." the slightly less angry OCELOT turned around "Well we don't have anything else to do and we do get free a free place to live and food. What the hell we'll join as long as you all remember that I'm a FUCKING OCELOT." they both nodded in agreement and our team was complete (Yay)

"So now everybody back to the plane, Leonikuz and Shini follow me to the briefing room:" Potaru gestured toward the plane and we all got on. Kori, me, Tsuki, and Taiyo sat in the lounge and waited for Shini and Leonikuz to come in. When they did Tsuki proceeded to bombard them with questions. The first he asked was on everybody's mind. Tsuki walked up slowly and started to ask "Are you two okay with gay people. Leonikuz and Shini looked at each other and stared to laugh "We would have to be considering were dating. And I lied to you earlier I'm not 18 I'm 21" Me and everyone else in the room almost dropped dead. "Well it was pretty obvious when you called him honey when you guys were fighting that mantis thingy.
