Starset
He nuzzled softly against her russet pelt, sorrow he'd
lost her forever slowly abating...
her eyes glinted bright and sharp contrast against the
starset black canvas that was their home now...
The waves came often, and as they washed against the
shore she felt the same restless longing they seemed
to encompass
to be the ocean meant throwing away part of yourself
for a larger purpose
something noble
To be lost in the depths of longitudinal pull; the
moon softly guiding you
back
forth
back
diaphanous and translucent
milky,
white
"why so sad little one?"
she looked up startled
It was the moon
beckoning her with its jaded brilliance
indifferent warmth
she got up on her hind paws
was already in a dash
down to the shore
she twirled and spun,
her tail tracing patterns in the ether
She danced her song and howled the ancient spells
her paws kicking up stardust
splash'd against fur
