#6 of The Perpetual Oasis

The bright afternoon sun beat down on the travelers as they hiked along the trail, even through the dense canopy. Well.....it wasn't really a trail anymore. Anything resembling a trail had disappeared a couple hours ago, and now they just walked wherever their feet happened to carry them.

"I'm hungry." Kieshou moaned.

"You mean you already ate all those apples?"

"Ummm....yeah."

"Those were supposed to last us the entire day."

She flashed a goofy grin. "Ooops."

"You're always hungry, you know. What do you expect me to do about it?"

"I don't know....can't you catch a.....chicken, or something?"

Anfang looked back at her and scowled. "Sure I could....just point me in the right direction, and I'll get right on that."

"Fine....I'm not that hungry anyways."

"Then why'd you.....aahh, forget it."

Sometimes Anfang thought she did stuff like that just to get a rise out of him. When they first met, she seemed a lot stronger and more independent. She couldn't have become so helpless all of a sudden, could she? He looked back at her again and admired her impressible figure, starting at the bottom and working his way up. Her feet were rather small, but Anfang thought that only added to the impressive length of her seductive legs. The legs widened as he continued, and they became a set of inviting hips. Her stomach indented with a slight concave, but still had enough baby fat to accent her navel perfectly. He imagined what a powerful backbone she must have to carry such ample breasts so proudly. Her face was by far the best feature. Her large eyes made her look innocent and kind. Jet black fur surrounded them, then headed down to the tip of her pointy nose, and streaked out onto her cheeks. Even if he had been spoiling her lately, how could he help it? Pretty soon, Anfang forgot to watch where he was stepping altogether, and he tripped over a unearthed root. He stumbled a few steps, but caught himself. But when he looked at Kieshou again, he realized she was really serious about needing food. Her head hung as if the muscles in her neck couldn't support it, and she dragged her feet through the soil as she walked. He thought that it was probably all an act, but he just couldn't help himself.

"Look, if you really want, we can look around for something to eat."

Kieshou's head popped up, and her eyes sparkled. "Really...do you mean it?"

"It's up to you....you said you weren't that hungry."

"I guess I could use a little something...." she said quietly.

"Okay then. It looks like there's a clearing up ahead. Maybe we can find something there."

Kieshou's pace picked up, and she began bounding joyfully ahead of the lupine.

"Hey! Wait up!"

The two of them emerged from the forest, and found themselves in a meadow with a small creek running through the middle. The dark shadows of the forest seemed to stop exactly where the grass began, as if they were afraid to encroach on the beautiful mead.

"Look! It's the spring of magical food-granting wishes!" Chuckled Anfang.

"That's very funny....but it's not helping."

"Yeah, yeah.....I'll be sure to get right on it, master."

"Shut up."

The pair began foraging around the field for signs of small game, or anything edible for that matter. A short while later, Kieshou found some edible berries of some sort; much to the dismay of Anfang. He told her that he could find something better, but she started collecting them anyways. Anfang definitely didn't want berries for lunch, so he continued searching.

"Come on, there's nothing out there!" Kieshou pleaded.

She took a seat near the edge of the creek, and laid the berries down next to her. She ate a few and watched the lupine wander around aimlessly for a while.

"For someone so self-sufficient and intelligent, you would think he'd know when to give up." she mumbled.

Her eyes drifted to the babbling water in front of her, finding a jumbled mess of a reflection. She stared at it for a while, until Anfang flopped down next to her, nearly squishing her small pile of food.

"Hey, watch it."

"I think you're right. About there not being anything alive around here."

"Did you figure that out just now?" Kieshou smiled and held her paw up to him. "Want some?"

Anfang grumbled something, but took a few. "I hate berries."

"Well, there's nothing else here, so you shouldn't complain."

"Yeah, whatever you say." The wolf sprawled out and pointed a finger above the trees. "See those mountains over there?"

Kieshou followed the imaginary line. "What about them?"

"That's where we're headed."

"Way over there?!"

"Come on, it's not that far....besides, it's the only place high enough to see out over the entire valley. If anyone's living in these woods, we'll be sure to spot 'em from up there."

Kieshou dropped back onto the grass and sighed. "Alright."

She filled their jug with fresh water and gathered a few more berries, before the two of them set off once more. It was a long, tiring journey through some harsh terrain before they finally reached the first of the foothills. All the while, Kieshou kept on asking to stop and rest, and continued to comment on the situation of her stomach. Anfang hoped that once they reached the base, the brush would thin out a little, but it didn't. Kieshou was slowing down again, and he had to keep assuring her that they were getting close.

The climb up the real mountain was far more treacherous and agonizing than anything before, even with the lack of vegetation. Sometimes, steep cliffs blocked their path, and they had to work their way up on foot and pawholds. By the time they actually neared the peak, the sun had almost set, and the sky was ablaze with all kinds of brilliant color. There was just one more tough section of upgrading rock. They took a short break at the base, and finished off the rest of the water.

"So are we almost there yet?" Kieshou griped.

"We are as soon as you stop complaing, and drag your butt up this last ridge."

She pretended to laugh at his remarks, then gulped down the rest of the water as the thirsty lupine looked on. He was holding his arms out in front of him, but they fell to his sides again when Kieshou tipped the jug over, revealing it's emptiness. Anfang growled at her, and began the final ascent. It took him quite a while, but he eventually reached the top, and pulled himself onto the flat surface. He stood up and looked around. Only a short, gradual rise was left, and he figured this was far enough. He turned around to check on Kieshou's progress, when his sensitive ears caught a sound like crumbling rock.

Kieshou was paying close attention to each of the crevices that Anfang was placing his paws and feet into, and was trying very hard to use the same. He was climbing a lot faster than she was though, and he soon disappeared over the top of the ridge. She had to slow down now, and search out her own holds.

"We better be getting close to the top." she mumbled.

As Kieshou reached for the edge of the precipice, one of the rocks she was standing on gave way, and she saw the ledge above her beginning to distance from her grasp. It was at least a fifteen yard drop from where she was, and the landing wouldn't exactly be soft either. Intense fear shot through her body, and she tried desperately to grab onto anything in reach. Just then, Anfang's face appeared over the edge, and his arm swung out and grabbed a hold of her outstretched paw. There she dangled, a good fifteen yards from the solid rock below, but safe. The lupine struggled, but managed to pull her up, and the two collapsed onto the ground.

Kieshou turned her head towards Anfang. "That was close."

"Are you kidding?! You almost fell to your death! You have got to be more careful!"

"I'm sorry....it wasn't like it was my fault though...."

"Yeah, well what if I didn't hear that rock breaking loose?! Then what?! I'm not always gonna be around to save you!"

"I said I was sorry! I was going to thank you too, but you just don't know when to quit!"

The two of them fell angrily back on the ground. They were too mad to say anything, so they just stared off into space, as furious thoughts raced through their minds.

"What's his problem? I thought he cared about me, but all he's doing is yelling." Kieshou glared at the lupine. "I don't understand him sometimes."

He glanced over at Kieshou, and their eyes met. "What are you looking at?!" he shouted.

Kieshou let out an angry puff of air, looked away once again, and crossed her arms over her chest.

"He can't possibly care for me! What an arrogant, self-absorbed......"

Then she thought about all the times she had yelled at Anfang, back when he was just about dead. She yelled at him because she was afraid she was going to lose him, not because she was really mad. She loved him so much that she couldn't bear to see him injured so badly.

"Was that why he got so mad? Because he cares for me as much as I do for him?"

Kieshou lifted herself off the ground, resting her weight on both arms behind her back.

"Why couldn't I see that before?" She thought as she gazed upon him.

She rolled onto her belly, and crawled over to him. His eyes were closed, and he had a somber look on his muzzle. She placed one of her paws on the other side of Anfang's chest, and hovered just above him. Kieshou thought he was either really angry, or just ignoring her, because he wasn't showing any signs of life. She leaned in close to him, and her soft tongue ran across the wolf's big, black nose. His eyes shot back open in surprise, finding Kieshou's cheery face only inches away.

"Uummm...is there something I missed?"

"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you." she said in a calm, soothing tone.

"What?! Are you messing with me again?"

"You were right, I should be more careful...."

"Okay, now you're starting to freak me out."

She pressed a finger to his mouth. "Thank you for saving me. I know you won't always be there, but whenever you're around, I just feel so safe. Sometimes I get careless."

Her finger slid away, but Anfang's next attempt at speech was muffled by a tender kiss. Now he was really confused. It was only a few seconds ago when the two of them were ready to kill each other, and now she's kissing him? Kieshou felt him pulling away, and allowed him to do so.

"Okay, I enjoyed that and all....but, why?

"Because I love you, and because I know that you love me."

"But I thought...."

"The argument?"

"Yeah, the argument....what happened to you being all upset?"

"I got over it." Kieshou gave Anfang a look that set his loins on fire. "You saved my life."

They were both lost in each other's eyes for a moment, before Anfang lunged forwards and kissed her full and luscious lips. Kieshou's arms buckled, and her shapely breasts pressed up against him. Their tongues swirled and explored in each other's mouths, as if it were the first time all over again. The taste of the sweet berries was still fresh in the raccoon's mouth, and for once, Anfang was enjoying it. His hands crept slowly towards Kieshou's perfectly contoured backside, sending shivers of pleasure down her spine. She broke another long kiss, but her face moved in even further and rubbed against the lupine's.

"Maybe you've got more on your mind than a kiss?" she cooed.

"And what if I do?"

"Then you're in for a treat."

Kieshou mounted Anfang, and purposely rested herself directly atop his swelling sheath. The instant he felt her warm flesh touch him, the blood rushed into his member. It pounded and grew with each beat of his heart, until it peeked out from under Kieshou's rump. Anfang's paws gripped her slender waist, and he coaxed her gently, until her hips began swaying back and forth. She let her head drop back, causing her breasts to heave upwards. They looked so perfect. Her nipples were tight and hard, and the canine suddenly found his paws roaming upwards, as if he'd lost all control over them. Kieshou gasped as his hands rubbed and massaged her firm breasts. She was already very wet, and Anfang's cock was fully unsheathed and throbbing like mad. He just couldn't take the teasing anymore.

"Please......I need.....you...." was all he could manage to squeak out.

Kieshou heard him loud and clear, despite his lame excuse for a sentence. She placed one of her delicate paws on his chest, and began to lean closer to him, as if she was going to kiss him again. Instead, Anfang felt her other paw take a hold of his pulsating member. The muscles in powerful legs contracted on instinct, and he lunged upwards, thrusting the bulk of his cock into her. Kieshou let out a deafening wail and sank her nails into his well-framed pecks. She bit her lip to keep from crying out again, and her eyelids were squeazed shut. Anfang felt a sharp pain as a small amount of blood trickled from the small gashes, but he was more concerned about the well-being of his mate.

"Kieshou.....I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?"

The raccoon was still panting heavily from her screams, but to Ryoki's amazement she started easing back, and allowed even more of his rock hard member to penetrate her.

"Don't worry.....I only howled like that......because it felt so good."

The lupine was in an utter state of disbelief. His jaw hung so low, it looked like he was a performing lion in some circus, and he was waiting for the stupid tamer to come and stick his head inside. Kieshou giggled, but it wasn't a normal laugh. It sounded provocative somehow. Maybe it was because of what she just told him. Maybe it was because his dick was now completely buried inside of her. Whatever it was, it got Anfang's hips moving again, and fast. He laid into her like it was the last time he was ever going to get the chance. The large knot on the base of his cock was now fully exposed, and slightly parted her opening wider with each thrust. His paws had found Kieshou's supple breasts once more. Anfang's thick, but gentle fingers groped eagerly, manipulating her stiff nipples. Each time he did so, Kieshou moaned even louder than she already was. The sounds vibrated throughout her body, and it made the lupine's cock throb harder than ever. Still, he wanted the two of them to reach that dream-like state together this time, and he slowed his pace a little. He paid close attention to the sounds that passed through Kieshou's lips. They had been together enough times for him to know when she was close. Eventually, that desperate yelp he had been waiting for arrived, and he made one final thrust, forcing his knot into her. The yelp turned into a cry, and was accompanied by a deep roar as the two of them came together. They clutched each other tightly, moaning and breathing heavily down one another's backs. Large amounts of cum pumped out from the tie. Anfang's body shuddered every now and then, and each time more of his seed spilled out onto the rocky surface.

They remained in each other's arms for a long while afterwards. The sun had almost completely disappeared now, and they both felt comforted by one another's warmth. Neither one of them wanted the moment to die. But the even the best moments have to end, no matter what you do, and as soon as Anfang opened his eyes again, he noticed something. It was something that brought a sense of excitement into him, but also fear.

"Kieshou." he whispered in her ear.

She pulled her head away from his shoulder, but hesitantly. Her eyes were only half open, and she looked like she had only awoken a few seconds ago. Anfang wondered if maybe she had actually fallen asleep while they embraced one another.

"Mmm...what is it?"

Kieshou's gaze melted his heart. The longer he looked into her emerald colored eyes, the less he wanted to talk, and the stronger the urge to kiss her grew. It was like he had completely forgotten about what he just witnessed off on the horizon. He didn't even notice his head was slowly advancing towards her. Anfang's member began to reawaken inside of her, and his judgment started to cloud. Somehow, he managed to control himself, and he pulled away.

"You hypnotized me."

"What?"

"I got lost in your eyes."

"You're weird sometimes, you know that?"

Anfang looked shocked. "I'm sorry, I just didn't know what else to say."

"So...did you want to tell me something or what?"

"Oh....yes! I saw smoke.....there!" He was excited now, and his words came out garbled.

He raised his paw, and one of his fingers aimed out into the growing darkness.

"I can't be sure from here, but I think it's a.....I think it could be a campfire."

To be continued.......
