“And here’s to the first-ever champion of the Alola Region!” a voice shouted over the large crowd, who were all crowded around a large bonfire. The tanned man, wearing a lab coat and a green hat, held up a plastic cup “Three cheers for Ash Ketchum!”
“YEAH!” a loud cry rang out from everyone present, who raised their cups and drank their contents. The recipient of all this cheer just stood in the corner in front of a tree, his cheeks blushing a bright red as he grabbed onto a plastic cup like the rest of them.
The small town of Iki was livelier than ever, as the students of the Alola Pokemon School and their teacher celebrated the crowning of the region’s first ever Champion. Gone were the days of the traditional trials and tribulations of the olden days. Now, there was an official Pokemon League in the tropical islands, and their first Champion now reigned over all. Ash Ketchum had finally fulfilled his dream of becoming a Pokemon Master, after traveling through seven different regions, learning much more about the world than he had ever thought possible, meeting many people along the way, and making more friends than he could stand to count. It was finally his time to shine.
A raging bonfire was lit on the central altar of Iki Town, carefully curated so as to not burn down the altar itself. He watched as his friends commended him, congratulating him for his hard fought victory over his rivals, growing closer to his Pokemon in the process. Ash watched as they danced and sang in his honor. Even Pikachu had gotten in on the fun, dancing the night away with Lillie and her Alolan Vulpix, while his Lycanroc frolicked with his brethren from Professor Kukui and Burnet, and Rowlet found a nice branch to perch on and rest, and Incineroar was flexing its muscles with Kukui’s.
As the party went on, he stayed back. The young, newly minted Champion looked on with an uncertainty that he had no way of admitting to. The queer gathering, including the citizens of Iki Town itself, all of the island Kahunas, past and present students, and rivals like Hau and Gladion, it seemed to get to the young man. He looked down at his drink, the amber color reflecting his apathy back on himself, making it abundantly clear.
“Hey,” a voice said right next to him. Ash chuckled and glanced over, seeing the dark skin and well toned muscles of his classmate, Kiawe. Even in the dead of the night, with the stars glowing brightly, and the temperature not quite as warm as before, he still refused to wear a shirt. It was any wonder he had worn the Ultra Guardians uniform at all. “Are you doing ok?” he asked, politely.
“Yeah,” the raven-haired young man said, as he swirled the alcohol in the cup, “It’s just, not that used to big celebrations like this. It’s, uh… a little overwhelming I guess.”
“Well, you don’t usually become the first-ever champion of a region!” said Kiawe with a big smile, giving Ash a friendly smack on the back, “Come on man, take a drink and celebrate!”
“Heh, not much for drinks honestly,” Ash said, taking a small sip of the beer, wincing a bit at the taste. “Eugh. Bad first impression” he muttered as he dumped the contents on the grass.
“Seriously? You're 21 and you’ve never had beer?” Kiawe asked with a smirk.
“Seriously,” said Ash with a giggle, “My mom doesn't keep alcohol in the house and it’s hard to find good liquor stores while traveling around the region.” He looked down at his now empty cup, “Besides, I’d rather not get drunk. I… I have a lot on my mind, and I don’t really wanna forget.”
“Hey, Ash.” Kiawe knelt down, looking him dead in the eyes. He rested his hand on Ash’s shoulder, the young native warm to the touch. His eyes had a fire to them that could only have come from the volcanic heart of Alola, a reassuring gaze like no other Ash’s had ever seen before.
“Y-Yeah?” Ash asked, blushing as he found himself staring into his former classmate's eyes for a bit too long, “W-What is it?”
“Tell me the honest truth.” Kiawe said with a sigh, “Are you enjoying the party?”
“....Kinda?” Ash said with a shrug, “Not really used to stuff like this. Last party I was in was more of a glorified backyard barbecue.”
Kiawe shook his head, “Well you’re not going to enjoy the party if you keep sitting on your ass,” he grabbed the shorter young man’s arm, surprising him, “Come on, let’s at least talk to the others.”
Rather than cause a scene, Ash let himself be taken by Kiawe into the party mob. He was dragged into the middle of the group, surrounded on all sides by his friends. Lana, Mallow, Sophocles, Lillie, Gladion, Hau, Kukui, Burnet, and Kiawe all encircled him, eyes locked on his meek form. Pikachu squeezed his way through the circle, and hopped up on Ash’s shoulder enthusiastically.
“Pika pi!” the Mouse Pokemon squeaked, giving his trainer a massive grin.
“Hey Ash!” Mallow said, a big smile on her face, her cheeks a bit red as she seemed to be looking at a spot next to Ash instead of right at him “There you are! H-How are you enjoying the celebration? Long time coming, eh?” she giggled, gripping her cup tightly. She seemed to have trouble staying upright, as she stumbled about, her legs quivering, and her feet not firmly on the ground.
“Don’t mind her,” Sophocles said, shaking his head, “We haven’t been able to keep her away from the beer.”
“Yeah well, I usually don't get to touch it unless I’m using it to cook….so buzz off, zappy,” she hiccuped as she took another drink, finishing off her glass. Dissatisfied, she threw the cup on the ground, with no regard for the environment she purported to champion.
“Solgaleo help me…” Gladion muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose, “How are any of you allowed anywhere near alcohol?”
“Says the guy not allowed to look at a bottle?” Lillie said with a sly smirk.
“L-Lillie!” her brother stammered, his face lighting up red as he stared at his sister.
“Oh come on, everyone here has met your mother. The fact you know what beer smells like is a shock to me.” Lana pointed out, in her usual deadpan way, “Besides, why are we arguing about this? This is Ash’s big day, not your drinking competition or pity party or whatever makes you feel comfortable.” She shrugged as the rest of their class laughed at Gladion’s utter humiliation. Even Ash let out a little chuckle, though it was only a slight one, and merely slipped out.
“Hehe… yeah,” Ash said, looking at all of the bright, beaming eyes around him.
“So, you’ve competed in other leagues before, right Ash?” Lillie asked, moving the topic away from the antics of the class and Mallow’s inability to stand.
“Oh yeah…. Let’s see… I was in the Indigo Plateau Conference, which is for the Kanto region. They’re all called conferences for some reason by the way. Then I competed in the Orange Islands League, which I won…”
“Really?!” everyone gasped, “You were already a league champion and you didn’t tell us?!” the whole town was shocked as could be.
“Um… I-It doesn't really count as a league honestly…. The Orange Archipelago isn’t even recognized as a proper region, it's a part of Kanto…. Plus I wouldn’t count those weird ass gyms as a proper challenge… and there were only four of them....” Ash muttered rubbing the back of his neck, “But anyways… then there was the Silver Conference in the Johto region, Ever Grande in Hoenn, Lily of the Valley in Sinnoh…”
“Those are weird names for Pokemon competitions,” Lana muttered as Mallow stumbled back with two cups of beer. She noticed this and grabbed one of them, “I’m not having you pass out.” Not one to waste alcohol herself, Lana downed the drink in seconds.
“Party pooper…” Mallow muttered as she drank from her remaining cup.
Ash continued, “after that was the Vertress Conference in the Unova region, then the Lumiose Conference in the Kalos region, which I actually was the runner-up in.” Before finishing, he took a deep breath, and added, “Then here we are. The Manalo Conference, and I… won.”
“Damn, that’s a long time till the victory,” Kiawe said with a smile, “Guess you have some stories from them”
“Heh, not as many as you’d think,” Ash chuckled, “A couple stand out….”
“Like what?” Lillie asked, her face glowing with curiosity.
“Heh, like my loss at Indigo,” Ash said, letting out a smirk, “God I was a dumbass kid back then. I lost cause my Charizard fell asleep on me.”
“Wait, like he was hit with sleep powder?” Kiawe asked, bewildered.
“Nope, he just… fell asleep out of boredom.” Ash admitted, “He was… well he was kind of a stubborn Pokemon ever since he was a Charmeleon. Something about his evolution made him really proud, and he thought he didn’t have to listen to me anymore.”
“Oh wow… I’ve never heard of a Pokemon doing that before.” Lillie gasped, “I guess Pokemon in other regions just aren’t as close to humans as they are here in Alola.”
“You can say that again,” Ash smirked, “Luckily he grew out of it. He trained really hard at Charicific Valley, and he got really strong, and in the process, he gained a lot more respect for trainers and humans, and he’s been my best friend ever since. He helped me out a lot in the Unova region.” Ash looked up, remembering all of the adventures that he had in the Unova region with Charizard and his friends Iris and Cilan, traveling through one of the most vibrant and lively regions he had ever been to. It was a mile a minute for the young budding master back then, living off of Cilan’s cooking and pure spirit, dodging all of Team Rocket’s new contraptions, and Team Plasma’s resurgence. He wondered where Iris and Cilan were now, and what they were up to. Knowing Cilan, he was either a full time connoisseur or a train conductor. As for Iris, he wasn’t sure.
“Any other stories?” Mallow asked, her voice making it clear she was quite wasted.
“Oh yeah. Sinnoh” Ash said with a smile, snapping out of his memories, “I made it up to the quarter finals, then I bumped into this ass who somehow managed to sneak a team of Legendaries into the league!”
“What!?” the class said, their eyes wide in shock.
“You're shitting me,” Gladion said, looking at Ash with wide eyes, “I had enough trouble as it was competing with Silvally! How’d he manage to do it?! You’ve gotta be pulling our legs!”
“Nope. I’m being honest. I think the clips are still online somewhere” Ash said “That was a competition that not a lot of people had fun with. It's not much of a show if someone shows up with a pokemon so strong he can just knock out teams with one attack. I only ever saw two of his Pokemon in the field. Darkrai and Latios. But his whole team was displayed on the monitors. Nothing but legends.”
“Were the judges asleep or something?” Sophocles asked
“Honestly, I think that guy had a friend on the board or something. I remember reading that he was called back a few months later to have the prize recalled. Don’t know who ended up with it.” he paused for a minute, before adding, “though, perhaps their hands were tied, since there was already precedent for using Legendaries in the Sinnoh region. The Champion, Cynthia, had a Spiritomb on her team, and her Garchomp was so strong it might as well have been legendary.”
“Oh wow…” The entire group took a collective step back, as they grappled with the fact that some reigning champions were so strong as to be near invincible. They winced at the thought of having to go up against not just a Spiritomb, but a superpowered Garchomp as well. Legends had told of Garchomp’s ferociousness in the Alola region, but everyone had assumed they were just myth.
Ash once again floated back into the world of memories, as he reminisced on his adventures in the Sinnoh region, traveling the torn landscape with Dawn and his old pal Brock. The villainous Team Galactic was up to the most dastardly plot he had ever encountered, as they sought to remake the universe anew with the Legendary Pokemon of Time and Space, Dialga and Palkia. It had been one of his favorite adventures to date, climbing the summit of Mt. Coronet, trekking through the snow-covered northlands to Snowpoint City, and solving the mysteries of the lake guardians, Alamos Town and its twin towers of time and space, and the otherworldly ambitions of Giratina and the Reverse World it ruled.
“Damn Ash, you left a lot out of those discussion presentations during class,” Kiawe said as he sipped his own drink. Ash felt his face light up red at that.
“Yeah…. Well, I kinda grew out bragging when I turned 17…. The attention isn’t something I like reveling in these days… Tended to get me more in trouble honestly,” Ash said, rubbing the back of his head and staring down at his shoes. “Plus there really isn’t much to talk about. I spent most of my time in the other regions just walking from town to town. Really wish I had used a bike sometimes.” he gave them a weak smile, “But this guy has a really bad history with them, so I preferred to play it safe” he said, poking Pikachu’s cheek
“Pika!” the pokemon said, gently slapping his trainer’s hand away. Even after all these years, Pikachu still hated having his cheeks poked or pinched or messed with in any way. Anyone unfortunate enough to not know this was in store for a painful Thunderbolt straight through their bodies.
“So… what are you going to do now?” Lana asked, “Are you going to go back to the Kanto region?” The town became deathly still as the group looked to Ash to give them an answer. Only the crackling of the subsiding, but still roaring bonfire filled the stagnant Alolan air.
“I think so?” Ash said with a shrug, suddenly aware of just how many people were present at the party. How many people he had touched during his time traveling the four islands of the region, “I don’t really know honestly… Frankly, I feel like I need a vacation. A full year of college on top of the championship.”
“At least this wasn’t as hard as a normal college.” Sophocles pointed out, “You guys don’t know how good you have it until you’ve gone and studied at Ecruteak University. I’m still getting nightmares from their course load. I still wince every time I hear bells ringing. It just reminds me of Ecruteak and the Bell Tower.” The young, pudgy prodigy shuddered, grasping at his arms as he was taken back to his accelerated course at the prestigious university, one of the oldest in the world.
“How many schools did you get sent to, Sophy?” Lillie asked, curious.
“I lost count after five…” he sighed, “I spent a bit in Pokemon Tech in Kanto and that was awful. How that school stays in business I have no idea.” he shook his head “Also a bit in Hoenn in the school the Rock-Type leader runs…. And I can’t really remember the names of the others.”
“Pokemon Tech stays in business because they get paid by the League,” Ash said, shaking his head, “They send trainers over to them, since a graduation is as good as seven badges. It's pretty much so they have inflated numbers, cause there has never been a single trainer from that school to get past the first round. Lorelei is a brutal first trainer to have to face in the real world.” the champion sighed, “Doesn’t stop the students from thinking of themselves as hot shit. Honestly, I’m a little tired of all the corruption in the Kanto region.”
“Corruption?” Gladion asked, frowning.
“Oh yeah.” Ash said with a dark chuckle “You think Team Skull was bad? Team Rocket has their fingers in almost everything in Kanto. Hell, they flat out ran a gym for years! And that’s without talking about all the fronts the trio we’re familiar with were able to seemingly make up at will.” he shook his head, “Seriously they could open businesses in seconds.”
“Damn…” Gladion gasped, shocked by the flagrant crime in the region, “You’re not planning on going back there, are you? I mean, why would you wanna live in a place like that?”
“I…” Ash paused for a moment, realizing that he was about to say yes, but his heart thought otherwise. A crossroads opened up in front of him in his mind, as he grappled with the choices presented to him. Should he return home, to his mother, Professor Oak, Gary, and his many Pokemon in the professor’s laboratory back in Pallet Town, or should he abandon the only home he’s known, and find a new home in another place? “I….don’t know” Ash whispered. He let out a sigh and turned around, slowly walking towards the hills.
“Ash?” Lille asked, starting to follow
“I just... need to be alone for a minute….” Ash said as he walked away from the warm light of the bonfire and torches that signaled the location of that party. His guests, confused, worried, and concerned, waited for him to return.
South would have taken him back down the mountain towards the sea and the city, as well as Kukui’s Lab, but Ash didn’t want to be in the comfort of his home. Northwards lay the Mahalo Trail, snaking its way up the extinct, lush volcano that made up Melemele Island’s interior highlands. Seeking guidance, he set himself on the trail.
As he walked up the steep grade, zigzagging up the cliff, his mind grew clouded by thoughts of returning home. His mother’s warm embrace as she stands in the doorframe of their small, Pallet Town home, happy to see her son return home after yet another long journey. Mr. Mime dutifully cleaning the windows or sweeping the porch while she prepares the first home cooked meal her son has had in months. But it also shows memories of each time he came back home, only to get ganged up on by Team Rocket a few days after arriving, and not just the regular trio of clowns he was used to dealing with, but the full force of Giovanni and his army of grunts. He could not bear to see them toy with him any longer. At least the troublemakers here were just a bunch of punks who wanted to pick on people, not a gang of organized criminals willing to do anything for money.
Carved faces stared down at him as he rounded the corner, making his way towards the summit of Melemele. Though they seemed scary at first, he had grown accustomed to their gaze, and even got a sense of comfort and familiarity from these guardian totems, keeping watch over the island’s most sacred spot. The cool, tropical breeze, the distant lights of Hau'oli City. The crashing waves against the white sandy beaches. The verdant forests of the islands. The many Pokemon and the friends he had made. Alola was becoming more of a home than he had realized. Should he abandon Kanto and stay in Alola permanently? What would his mother think? What would Professor Oak say? Would he be welcomed in the Kukui household for much longer, or would they force him to make ends meet on his own, something he had never had to do before?
“Pika?” his first pokemon chirped, clearly worried about his trainer
“I’m ok Pikachu,” Ash said, rubbing his partner’s ears, “Just need to think for a bit. You can head back to the party if you want.” However, the Mouse Pokemon was in for the long haul, and did not leave his trainer’s side. Perched on his shoulder, they climbed the mountain together.
He found the summit, and the rope bridge that connected to the shrine. The rickety structure swaying in the gentle breeze, as it precariously was strung over the bay below. A loud waterfall was to his left, crashing down into the ocean, its roar heard throughout the northeast side of the island. He crossed without thinking, slowly walking across its planks, feeling a peculiar ease in the bridge’s sway.
Soon, he was across and facing the steps, and the Ruins of Conflict came into view. Melemele’s most sacred shrine, dedicated to the guardian Tapu Koko. Though their existence had been mere legend in the islands for quite some time. Ash knew that they were real. One Tapu for each island, with Melemele being the home of Tapu Koko, who dwelled deep within the Ruins of Conflict, a Tapu that had taken a strange interest in him in particular. In the state that he was in, conflict was the best word to describe his predicament.
The steps were a mix of stone and logs, and bits of carved stone were strewn all around, some shattered, and some still holding out. Strange statues that Ash couldn’t figure out who or what they represented lined the path, seemingly staring at him with their open mouths, almost as if they were judging each step he took, laughing at him as he took one step after another towards the altar. He adjusted the Z-Power Ring on his wrist, which felt strangely heavier all of the sudden. The altar came into view, a beautiful array of palm leaves, painted wood, and red roots greeted him at the back. However, there was still no sign of Tapu Koko. He ascended the steps of the altar, placing himself central on its dais, staring up at the artwork in front of him, searching for meaning in its geometry and design. Searching for any sign of Tapu Koko to come and give him the guidance that he sought. To free him from the torment that clouded his mind.
“Heh, what am I doing here, Pikachu?” he chuckled, shaking his head, “I’ve been traveling for like… 11 years at this point, and all of the sudden I’m coming to ask a legendary for guidance?” he let out a forced laugh as he stared at the altar. “I’ve helped Lugia rescue its child, calmed the earth and seas themselves, conquered time and space, deferred truth and ideals, and life and death itself were in my hands. Yet here I am, trying to pray to an island deity.” He looked up towards the cracked ceiling of the altar, the faintest bit of light seeping in through the cracks.
A tear ran down his cheek, “Pathetic, isn’t it?” he cried.
“Chu….” Pikachu muttered, unsure what to say to help his friend. Ash just smiled and unlatched his Z-Power Ring. He held the object in his hands with a smile as he looked at the crystal inside. A yellow gem with a thunderbolt-sized bit on the top, one that Tapu Koko had specifically given to him after his first trial for reasons he still didn’t know.
At this point, he couldn’t hold it back any longer, and tears streamed down from his eyes like the waterfall outside, “It’s not fair!” he cried, clutching at the ring, “Why can’t I just stay here?! Why does it have to be so hard!” he thrashed about on the platform, Pikachu hopping off and standing by, waiting for Ash to calm down, “I’ve made so many friends… I feel like I’m finally part of a family. I have a father here! GYAH! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY?!”
As he thrashed, Ash and Pikachu both didn’t notice the Z-Crystal pop off the top of the bracelet and fly towards the statue that sat in the center of it. It tapped the stone and instead of falling, it glowed pink and began to float slowly. It floated above the statue and, with a small flash that neither saw, the Guardian of Melemele Island appeared. It looked down at Ash, listening to what he was saying softly.
“I don’t wanna go.” Ash said, pulling at his hair, “I don’t wanna leave. I don’t wanna go back, but I have to. I can’t leave my mom alone like that, but I don’t wanna leave Kukui… dad… Why don’t I have a dad? Why did Kukui have to become my dad?!” he knelt down and pounded his fists against the altar in rage, “It wasn’t this hard to leave the other regions! I’ve left so many friends behind! Misty, Brock, May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Serena, Bonnie, and Clemont… I left them all… why is this any different? Why do I feel so bad about this?!”
His heart was pounding out of his chest, and growing out of its rib cage, tearing at the very fiber of his being as he struggled to justify everything he has ever done. Tapu Koko merely watched with a concerned gaze, watching as his chosen pupil was consumed with conflict at his altar. The god of Melemele Island did not intervene, not until Ash asked him to, whether he was aware of it or not, merely content to watch.
“I-I wish I didn’t have to make this stupid choice!” Ash weeped, begging for some kind of arbiter to come in and make it for him, “I-I want to stay! Someone please! Let me stay here! Let me stay with my friends! Let me stay with Professor Kukui! Let me have a little brother….” He dried the tears from his eyes, before standing up, and shouting out to the world, “I never want to leave Alola!”
His wish reverberated throughout the ruined hall, and Tapu Koko heeded it. The guardian of Melemele Island let out a blood-curdling cry, causing the young champion and his Pokemon pal to stumble and shiver. Looking up, they saw the deity floating above them, sparks of electricity emanating from his shell.
“T-Tapu Koko?” Ash muttered, wiping the tears from his face. The bittersweet reunion was cut short, however,as Tapu Koko began to act on the wish that Ash had inadvertently made within his shrine.
“W-Wait…. W-What are you-” Ash’s words were interrupted as the deity released its first move in granting this wish. A bubble of pink energy appeared around it, before expanding out as a bright bubble, enveloping the shrine in a fine pink mist and a strangely comforting light, “M-Misty Terrain!?” Ash shouted, recognizing the move instantly. He climbed to his feet, waving mist out of his face “W-What are you….” he blinked, as the fog flowed into his mouth and nose.
“Ack!” he coughed, as the mist entered his lungs, “H-Hey! What are you doing?” he gasped for air as he was choked by the mist, “W-Why are you….” he blinked, as a strange feeling of lethargy began to slowly work its way through his body. His muscles began to relax, on a level he had never felt before. His arms fell to his sides limply, as if he’d been slipped a tranquilizer. His legs began to quiver, and his whole body felt heavy.. Before long, the young champion collapsed on his knees, onto the floor of the altar, the Z-Power Ring falling out of his hand and bouncing on the altar before skidding to a halt right below the deity. He stared up at Tapu Koko, who was starting to glow pink once more.
Ash groaned as his arms and legs went completely numb. His neck still worked, slightly and he was able to look to his side, seeing that Pikachu was in much the same position as him. Straining his neck, he managed to get a look above him, seeing the electrifying Tapu Koko levitating above them.
“T-Tapu….W-What are you….” Ash stammered out, his tongue and jaw feeling as lethargic as his limbs. The young trainer could barely speak a word, and soon, he succumbed to the power of the Tapu, his mouth going as numb as the rest of his body. All he could do now was watch as Tapu floated above him, glowing and pulsing with energy.
With his body inoperable, Ash was helpless to the deity. Before he could say anything against him, Tapu Koko lifted the young champion up off of the floor, leaving his Pikachu companion behind, knocked out on the altar. Ash winced as he was picked up like a ragdoll by the deity, and not exactly in a gentle way, as his sides began to feel as if they were squeezed by large hands. Tapu Koko didn’t care about any discomfort Ash was feeling as he began to move him further into the shrine, the pink bubble of Misty Terrain following the two.
His arms were twisted in unnatural ways, and his legs were bent nearly beyond their capacity. It was as if Tapu Koko was studying him, checking every part of his body for some sort of abnormality worth looking into. It was all too strange to say the least. Before he could even think further about this situation, Tapu Koko’s body glowed and Ash felt energy wash over him.
His eyes went wide as he saw his clothes glow the same pink, before being torn to shreds a split second later. His shirt, shorts and shoes were ripped into a thousand bits of cloth and plastic that fell to the floor without care from the deity. The shreds were too small to be seen with the naked eye, like each individual fiber of his clothes had been precisely destroyed by a million tiny scissors, cutting away at the fabric with uncanny accuracy. Not even his underwear was spared, as his member hung flaccid for inspection. He desperately wanted to move his arms and cover it with his hands, but he could not, and was powerless to Tapu Koko’s merciless gaze. The sheer embarrassment caused him to turn erect moments later.
Tapu Koko didn’t seem to care about his new stiff part, instead moving him around even more to inspect his entire body. The soles of his feet, his butt, his armpits. It even made him open his mouth to check his throat.
W-What is it doing this for!? Ash thought as Tapu Koko let him finally close his mouth, at which point it went totally numb again. He could barely think at all as the brutal inspection, almost an autopsy, by the deity continued without interruption. Finally, after what felt like many hours of pointless staring, and uneasiness, the deity was satisfied, and began the second phase of the enactment.
He dropped Ash to the floor, where he splayed out like a puppet with his strings cut. He glared up at the Pokemon, but it didn’t seem to care as it began to glow pink again. The mist around the young man began to move closer and closer to him.
W-What the hell? Ash thought, his eyes wide as he saw the mist move all around him, blocking everything except Tapu Koko from view. How is Tapu Koko doing this? At this point, however, the relevance of how the deity could accomplish such a task was unimportant, at least in comparison to what he was going to do next, which was still shrouded in mystery. Soon, though, the mystery would be slowly revealed to Ash. As his body was enveloped by the pink fog brought about by the unusually powerful Misty Terrain that had been cast, he could feel his body changing. It felt as if the fog seeped into his pores, invading his body through every available orifice that they could find. He coughed as he felt it flood into his mouth and nose, his eyes watering as his tongue lit up.
GAH! It tastes like pure concentrated sugar! He thought, blinking the tears out his eyes as it just kept heading into his body. He laid there for a good two minutes, which felt like an eternity as more and more mist flowed into him. Eventually, the wall of pink that surrounded him began to thin, as it all had gone inside of him, just as Tapu Koko intended.
Ash regained his motor skills shortly thereafter, and was able to stand up without issue, despite his legs shaking like they were made of jelly. However, Pikachu was still out of commission. Steadily, he got up on the altar, his eyes filled with rage as he stared at the guardian Pokemon hovering above him.
“WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?” he shouted at the top of his voice, a bit of pink mist flowing out of his mouth as he spoke. The sheer breath of anger swirling through his mind was more than could be put into words. He wanted an explanation, though he knew he would never get that. Even if they could speak, the Tapus were mysterious and otherworldly entities that did not care how their actions impacted others. “IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF SAYING GOODBYE!?”
However, he would soon get an explanation, as he felt his body begin to change.
“WHAT, AREN’T YOU GONNA….” Ash stopped his shouting mid-sentence as a wave of vertigo suddenly washed over him and he felt his legs shake even more. He stumbled and managed to grab onto one of the many statues that lined the area around the altar, the world around him tilting slowly, like a see-saw going back and forth. His head began to turn, as his mind grew heavy, and he could barely stand up once more, but he held himself up.
While the young Champion experienced the closest thing he would ever come to a drunken stupor and a hangover, his body was changing. His legs shook and trembled as they began to grow. He shot up, gaining a few feet in height, ridding him of the short height that had hounded him since he was 10. Despite this rather big change, he barely noticed it, as the world kept spinning around him.
“Guah…. W-What are you doing to me?” Ash asked Tapu Koko, looking up at him. Despite everything spinning, the island deity was perfectly still in his vision, like an anchor in the swirl of colors. A cosmic constant in the sea of uncertainty and relativity.
As he stared at the guardian, his next change began. He groaned and moved his hand to his arm, scratching it “W-Why does it….” he muttered as an itch unlike any he had ever felt washed over his entire skin. It came from every single inch of his body at the same time, as if he’d been dunked in a tub of poison ivy. His groggy eyes prevented him from noticing it, but each scratch he made was flaking off more and more of his skin, and in its place, a tanner complexion was poking through. Ignorant to this fact, he scratched all over his body, desperate to make the damn itch stop. He did it on his face, his arms, his legs, even down at his groin, flaking off his pale complexion as he went. Soon, his fair skin, that he had never been able to tan without getting a severe sunburn, had become a deep tan that any beachgoer would kill for in an instant. Soon, the young Champion stood in the altar, with a tan that made him look like a bona fide Alola local, and he let out a sigh of relief, as the itch was finally gone. However, the changes were only just beginning, as he felt the skin get tighter on his body. In reality, the skin wasn’t shrinking, but his muscle mass was growing.
“GAH!” he groaned, going cross-eyed as the sensation spread out from his torso to his limbs, like lava running under his skin. Indeed, each muscle of his body grew much larger than it had been before. He’s skinny, twig-like build was slowly disappearing as a muscular torso formed. Despite the lack of a six pack, he had a physique that would make most guys jealous, with his chest feeling more like a block of wood than soft human flesh, bulging out by layers of fat. Speaking of hard things, his penis got an upgrade as well, as it grew to be three times its original erect height. The shaft towering over the landscape, tall enough that he could nearly bend down and suck it himself, through his body, though he was still too dazed and confused to attempt such a task. A few bits of hair he had puffed into a small bush that he normally would never keep, and likely was going to be shaved off as soon as he got the chance. Unconsciously, he reached down to it, and a shiver ran down his spine as soon as his finger touched the top of the shaft. Not only had it become taller, but more sensitive as well. It sent ecstasy through him like he had never felt before, and he found himself wrapping his hand around it, despite the vertigo still going strong.
“Gyah….W-Why are you….” he moaned, his face going red at the fact he was grabbing his rod in front of the Island Guardian, but it didn’t seem to care. Just as he thought the changes had finally come to an end, he groaned as he felt his scalp itch, just like his skin. “O-Oh fuck….” he moaned, as he unconsciously gripped his shaft tighter when he felt the itch begin, “N-Not again…” He trembled, letting go of the statue that kept him standing.
The wave of vertigo that washed over him sent him to his knees, his now longer cock slapping against the ground as he landed, sending yet another wave of ecstasy through him. The itch on his scalp grew more and more powerful and he reached up with his free hand, scratching it as hard as he could. He gasped as he felt it slightly helping and he finally managed to let go of his new enlarged member, letting it flop freely onto the wooden floor. That sent even more shivers through him, but at this point, he didn’t care. He brought both hands up and started scratching his head as hard as he could, closing his eyes to try and escape the wave of colors.
As he scratched, he didn’t notice as his hair shifted and morphed beneath his now tanned fingers. The smooth, clearly well-groomed raven locks changed as his digits passed over them, becoming stiffer and losing the shine of the years of care and washing. Instead, parts of it began to glimmer as bits of sea salt began to form in between the individual follicles. The smell of the sea, something he had barely touched in all his time attending the Pokemon School, was now permanently etched onto his hair.
As this was happening to the hair on his head, the hair on his arms and legs also began to appear. Despite him being a diligent shaver of his body hair, the changes that Tapu Koko was doing to him didn’t matter, as body hair began to sprout on his arms, legs, and armpits. Like the hair on his head, bits of sea salt were in it. While he may choose to shave them when the procedure was complete, the result was still going to be the same.
“Hah… hah…” Ash gasped for breath, bits of pink mist exiting his mouth as he did so,, exhausted from the constant changes that his body had undergone. Winded, and begging for relief, he looked up to Tapu Koko with a new ire. Here was the guardian deity of the island he had lived on for much of the past year, whom he thought he had a decent connection with, defiling him as if he were merely a plaything. Little did Ash know that the link that he believed he had with Tapu Koko was still alive and well, and only growing, for the deity did this for the young Champion’s own good, and for his own salvation.
“W-What the hell?!” he gasped out, but before he could say anything else, he felt the last of his physical changes come in, as his throat began to tighten and his eyes burn as if he had just had onion juice dropped into them. “F-fuck” he gasped out, as his larynx was shifted and morphed like clay. A few tears escaped his closed eyes as they too burned, changing to match the image that Tapu Koko had in his brain. He gasped, as the blockage and burning both disappeared as soon as they came.
He blinked and opened his eyes, which while he couldn’t see them, were now a deep sapphire blue as opposed to the dark brown he had been born with.
“W-What did you-” his eyes went wide as he spoke. His voice sounded different than before. A slight bit deeper, with an accent, he heard others around the island speak with and it sounded slower. Like the voice of someone who barely cared about whatever he was talking about. The voice of the Alola region itself, calm and tranquil, going with the motions, smooth like the waves lapping against the beach, or the wind through the trees, barely making a motion in the leaves they passed through. “What the hell did you do to me!?” he shouted in his new voice, which despite the rage he had built up inside him, sounded more like he was annoyed.
Tapu Koko had little sympathy for the Champion, as the process was not yet complete. Misty Terrain was cast once more, enveloping the altar in the sweet, pungent fog. Knowing better this time, Ash attempted to run, breaking into a full sprint for the door. However, Tapu had expected this, and the mist began to move on its own again. It flew towards the door, flowing and moving less like smoke and more like water. It filled the door and windows, enveloping the entire area around the altar in pink smoke.
“That’s not gonna stop me” Ash muttered as he took a deep breath and covered his mouth and nose. He kept sprinting at the door. Only to smack into the fog, which felt like a wall of bricks and sent him tumbling onto his new tanned ass
“W-What the hell!?” he groaned, rubbing his newly muscled arm as he stared at the door in shock. The fog seemed to loosen as it began to slowly pour back into the room washing over him in seconds. He tried to stand up, but the fog grabbed him like a claw and refused to let him get up from the seating position he was in.
As he struggled to resist the fog and Tapu Koko, he took in more and more air, inadvertently breathing in the fog. This mist, however, was different from the mist that had enveloped him earlier, changing his body and his voice to fit the needs of Tapu Koko’s design. The fog he now found himself in, once it reached inside his body, acted on his mind rather than his body. As he inhaled, the fog entered his lungs, reaching his bloodstream, to be pumped through his body by his heart. Carried by his blood, the molecules accumulated in his brain, making changes as the gods saw fit.
He groaned as he felt a splitting headache form, grabbing the side of his head as more of the fog seeped into his skin, his ears, his nose, and any other orifice it could find, just like before, with more and more of it heading into his brain with each passing second. His blood became so oxidized with the Misty Terrain that it turned a pale pink color, rather than the dark crimson that normal blood was.
“AGH!” he groaned, pulling on his now dirty hair in a vain attempt to distract himself from the pain of the fog seeping into each neuron of his mind. The splitting headache felt like each fog molecule was pulling and tearing at each individual brain cell in his mind, especially his memories. As the seconds passed, his thoughts began to slow. After a minute of breathing nothing but the fog, he lowered his arms to his sides, staring blankly ahead as he breathed in more and more.
The fog had filled his head completely by the point, leaving no part of his body that wasn’t totally saturated in the noxious pink smoke. Tapu Koko nodded as he saw that he had stopped struggling and waved its arm, the fog lifting above the transformed young man. He didn’t move, despite the chance at freedom. All he did was sit there, breathing in and out deeply, small bits of fog seeping out of his mouth and nose as he did so. Inhale. Exhale. The breaths were slow and repetitive, like a smoker taking a drag from their cigarette.
The Guardian Deity looked over its handiwork quickly, making sure that it wasn’t missing any details before moving on to the next part. After finding no flaws, it waved its hands hagin. Bits of the fog flew down to his body and wrapped around certain parts of his body. First, they wrapped around his waist, crotch, and thighs. From the pink mist, light blue fabric began to form, tightly wrapping around his groin and the tops of his legs. When the fog dissipated, a new pair of tight swim trunks were revealed. The fog moved up to his torso, again forming cloth beneath it. This time, it cleared up to reveal a white and blue jacket, the type that basketball players wore. On the back was a cartoon picture of a Gyarydos. The jacket formed with a zipper already broken, as it would never need to be closed. The last bits of the fog, which had formed around his neck, evaporated leaving behind a thin golden thread that wrapped around his new muscular neck, connecting to a shrunken dive ball that now hung loose right in between his pecs.
With the Champion properly clothed, Tapu Koko began the penultimate step in the process. The pink fog now fully enveloping his brain, now acted on their master’s wishes, pulling at the neurons until there was nothing left to take. Quickly, Ash was left a motionless, amnesiatic trainer, unaware of what was about to happen to him. As quickly as they had taken the memories from him, the fog returned them to him, but with major changes to his past and his present, and to his upcoming future.
New memories were carved into the now empty mind, memories that presented his life in a far different light than had actually occurred. Gone was his life in the Kanto region, his birth, his mother, his friends, his rivals, his accomplishments. All of it was taken from him and rewritten to reflect a new life that he would begin in the Alola region, according to the wish that Ash himself had given to Tapu Koko. No longer would he be known as Ash Ketchum, son of Delia Ketchum and an unknown father.
He blinked as a new name was carved over the old one, which evaporated into smoke a few seconds afterwards.
“Satoshi….” the young man muttered as the name formed “Kukui…”
That was who he was now. Satoshi Kukui the proud first-born of Professor Kukui and his first marriage. Raised in the grand traditions of the Alola region, he wasn’t exactly what would be called an amazing trainer. He barely knew how to battle, but he made up for it with his love for the outdoors and the natural splendor of the islands he now called home. An insatiable love for the sea and all that was in it, he became an avid surfer, diver, and swimmer. Apart from that, he was a cyclist, hiker, and mountain climber. In keeping with the traditional Alolan warrior motif, he was also steeped in the customs and rituals of the region, being a dancer like Kiawe, and a potential future Kahuna or Trial Captain, if he could get his Pokemon battling up to snuff that was.
He smiled as the light behind his eyes dimmed slightly. Satoshi wasn’t known for his brains. In fact, he was known to be a lovable idiot who didn’t really care about things beyond his interests. He cared about the outdoors and his friends, but he turned away from his father every time the professor started going on one of his lectures about Pokemon.
Memories of entire weekends spent on the beach, board in hand as he surfed every waking moment, of going hiking on his own with nothing but berries and water just for the fun of it. Dancing at the top of the mountain, the fires blazing with the love of his life, their skin charred by the ash and the sun.
He blinked, a bit confused by that “Boyfriend?” he muttered slowly. The fog however, fixed that confusion in an instant, as it carved a name and a face to go along with that term. A man his age, with dark skin and pointy black and red hair. Kiawe’s face stared back as memories of the two dating were flooding into his now forming brain. Intense flirting, kissing, and more intimate activities were permanently etched into the fabric of his mind, and his imagination was even tinkered with, as he began to believe he constantly imagined their wedding, in all of the traditional pomp and circumstance that the Alola region could muster. He smiled dopily as he reveled in the life he was to have with Kiawe.
The dark-skinned trainer was a sucker for the dim surfer, and he was always the one to take charge and make decisions, something that Satoshi loved about him. He hated making choices, so he’d happily defer to his boyfriend no matter what the topic. It was mostly thanks to Kiawe that he'd even been able to graduate from his dad’s school. And thanks to him he enrolled at all, since the moment he saw the Fire-Type trainer, Satoshi wanted to be as close to him as possible. Even though he saw himself more as a Water-Type trainer, the mixture was surprisingly harmonious. The two had hit it off immediately, and had only grown closer as time passed on. When Satoshi came out to Kiawe, nervous as he didn’t know if Kiawe was even capable of returning the feelings, he was elated to find that Kiawe shared them, and the two sealed their love with their first kiss. Ever since, it has been a fairy tale love affair through and through. Though Satoshi was always trying to convince him to take it further.
He giggled as he felt his member get hard in his trunks as the thoughts of his boyfriend passed through his brain. The fog moved to fill the rest of it.
Memories of going into town with his dad, the malls, and exploring all of the islands, getting an exclusive tour of the Aether Paradise, and learning about the legends of the sun and the moon, and the Tapus themselves. Praying the deities, and keeping his mind towards the traditions. Of being the big dumb wall of muscle that kept Team Skull from bothering the school simply by hanging around. Of sneaking off alone to spend nights under the stars and indulging in personal times as he did. Spending hours upon hours just cleaning and polishing his custom made surfboard, something he spent years saving money for. All in all, he was shaping up to be the quintessential Alolan young man.
With his mind perfectly formatted to fit the new life that Tapu Koko had crafted for him, there was just one thing left to do. To this end, the deity cleared the fog, and allowed the young former champion to stand up of his own accord. Still entranced by the deity, he walked forward slowly, lazily. His eyes clouded and droopy, barely able to hold themselves awake as he stepped up to the descending deity. The two came face to face for the first time. A Z-Power Ring had materialized on his wrist, and Tapu Koko summoned from within a crystal for him to use. Tapunium Z materialized in front of him, and was presented to Satoshi Kukui.
Dutifully and mindlessly, he took it without issue, and slotted it into place on his Z-Power Ring. Power surged through him and Tapu Koko, and he instinctively performed the dance that was necessary to fully activate its power. His body moved methodically, like it had performed the routine many times before, even though it had not. His brain was still settling, so he barely registered what he was even doing as he finished the pose, energy flowing out of him and into Tapu Koko. The deity smiled and flew upwards, and out of the Ruins of Conflict, the energy flowing out of it as it used Z-Misty Terrain. The ground shook as another, even bigger bubble of pink energy formed and blasted outwards. It was massive, so big that it covered Melemele island in mere seconds before spreading outwards to the other islands, fog rolling along with it.
Before anyone had time to react, the bubble of mystic energy had enveloped them already, quickly and methodically rewriting their memories and experiences should they have ever had contact with Ash Ketchum. Those memories were changed for those relating to Satoshi Kukui, if it was even necessary to supplement the memories in the first place. Many were erased, while some had their entire lives rewritten to fit the new narrative, notably those that were especially close to the former Champion, such as Kukui and Kiawe, and the rest of his classmates. Some things were altered to match the new reality. The Pokemon League evaporated into the fog, as the new Kukui never had time to travel the world. A trio of idiots was teleported out of Alola by the wave, never to know what exactly happened. And a belt of pokeballs back in the village changed, the pokemon inside them morphing to match their new trainer.
Satoshi just stood there, swaying in place as Tapu Koko flew back down and looked over his new creation with a smirk. Before Satoshi could even blink, the Guardian tapped him on the head, and the surfer fell asleep instantly, falling over like a sack of berries.
“Guh” Satoshi muttered as he slowly opened his eyes, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. “W-Wha….” he mumbled as he looked around, his dull eyes showing his confusion at his surroundings “What am I doing in the altar..? I don’t have to come here till morning…” the surfer pulled himself up onto his feet, looking around for any sign of things out of the ordinary or for a reason he’d come here in the middle of the night. “Did I leave my fire pole here or something?” he muttered as he ran his fingers through his salt-matted hair.
“Pikachu?” a chirp came from behind him.
“Kahului!!” he gasped, seeing his buddy on the ground unconscious. He picked up the Mouse Pokemon, stroking him until he came to. The yellow mon opened his eyes slowly, a bit of pink fog escaping his mouth as he looked at his trainer.
“P-Pika…” Kahului groaned. It didn’t take long for him to perk up after locking eyes with his best friend and trainer, “Pikachu!” the mouse cried out, climbing back up onto Satoshi’s shoulder.
“Hehe… glad to see you’re alright buddy.” Satoshi giggled, “let’s get back to town.” he looked over the trail and saw all the lights, which confused him “Wait, are we having a party?” he asked, confusion clear on his face. He looked at his pokemon, “Is there a reason we’d be partying?”
“Chu…” the Pokemon muttered, shaking his head with a smile on his face as he got a reminder of his trainer’s lovable idiocy.
“What?” Satoshi asked, “Dude, don’t hold out on me! I need to know if I have to go do a dance or something!” he said as he started jogging back to Iki Town. “What’s going on?”
Satoshi got his answer soon enough, as the moment he passed through the gate to Iki Town, he was blindsided by an uproar of cheers and applause and congratulations.
“Happy Birthday!” They all cheered. Everyone of his classmates had ambushed him the moment he came into town to congratulate him. He was completely caught off guard, and completely forgot what day it was.
“B-Birthday?” he muttered, blinking, “I-It’s my birthday?”
“Course it is, ya dumbass” Gladion said, shaking his head as he walked up to Satoshi. Despite his language, it was clear from his body language he didn’t mean anything bad by it. In fact, part of his body seemed to tell him he was up for some “reconciliation” later in the day.
“But why the big ass party just for my birthday?” the dumb surfer asked, scratching the back of his head, “I didn’t think it was reason to break out the bonfire….”
“Wow, you’d forget how to blink if your body didn’t do it on its own.” Sophocles said with a small chuckle as he walked up to him with a plastic cup in hand, “You remember that you finally beat old Hala, right?”
“Um...yeah!” Satoshi said, a nervous smile on his face, “Maybe that’s why I was in the ruins. Must’ve been praying or giving thanks or something.”
“Damn you already forgot why you were at the ruins too?” Mallow chuckled, already drunk, “You really aren’t going to go far with a brain like that, Satoshi. Have you thought about having Sophocles and Gladion and Kiawe tutor you?”
“I tried,” Sophocles said with a sigh “He’s a lost cause, believe me. He has a talent for tuning things out that I didn't think was possible.”
“Talent?” Gladion said with a chuckle, “I’d call it a reflex. Each time you start talking about something semi-technical you can see his eyes glaze over and start thinking about fucking Kiawe and his ass dancing!”
“H-HEY!” Satoshi shouted, blushing, “I-I think about other things beyond sex!”
“We didn’t bring up sex…” the three said with a smirk
“Um…” Satoshi muttered, his face going even more red
“So, if you don’t only think about sex, what else do you think about? Surfing?”
“Biking?” Sophocles continued.
“Cleaning your board?” Gladion finished, “Hiking? Dancing? A combination of all of the above?”
“...shut up guys…” Satoshi pouted, clearing having been defeated, “Okay fine I’ll do better. Put money on it! I’ll have all of the Kahunas defeated by this time next year.”
“I’ll take you up on that bet.” Gladion smirked, shaking his hand, “Easy money right there.”
“I wouldn’t bet on that.” a new voice entered the fray. Satoshi turned, his eyes beaming to see the familiar face of Kiawe walking towards them, “Sorry I’m late, I had something I needed to get at the last minute.”
“Kiawe!” Satoshi ran up to his love, wrapping his arms around the sunburnt islander, giving him a kiss right on the lips. “I was wondering where you were.”
“Heh, of course ya were, big guy.” Gladion chuckled, “We all know you’re hopeless without your boyfriend around.” he smiled at Kiawe, “You scored with this guy. I’ve never seen anyone so head over heels.”
“Heh,” Satoshi chuckled, wrapping one of his arms around Kiawe as Kahului hopped off his trainer’s shoulders. “What can I say, I’m irresistible.”
“That you are pal.” Sophocles laughed, holding up his drink to propose a toast, “To Satoshi and Kiawe!”
“Here here!” the crowd chanted, hoisting their cups in the air in support. Satoshi and Kiawe watched as they dispersed and chatted amongst themselves, ready for the festivities to really get underway. Presents, bonfires, dancing, drinking, battling. All of it was going to be on full display for the birthday boy and his boyfriend.
“Hey.” Kiawe muttered to his boyfriend, “Wanna head off for a few minutes?”
“Um, but what about the-”
“Shh...” Kiawe said, putting his finger on Satoshi’s lips. The tanned surfer shivered as he felt the other man’s finger on his skin and stopped talking instantly, “We’ll be back by then. They can’t very well start dancing without their best performers, can they?”
“Heh, yeah…” Satoshi said, nodding as he followed his boyfriend away from the party. They headed down the hill, away from the lights of the party to a small abandoned spot on the nearby hill, far enough away that the noises of the party were distant. “So...what do you wanna do?”
“This.” Kiawe said as he grabbed Satoshi’s jacket and slipped it off, tossing it aside with a smirk, Not missing a beat, Satoshi smirked and took off the rest of his clothes, while Kiawe did the same. The two standing buck ass naked in the Alolan night, in the tall grass of the fields, they embraced. Macking on each other with reckless abandon, wrapped around each other like two Ekans. Kiawe took the initiative and knocked Satoshi down, who landed on his back with a giggle as his boyfriend threw himself on top.
“Heh, Don’t think I’ve ever seen you this into it.” the surfer himbo chuckled as he ran his fingers through his lover’s hair.
“Heh, what can I say?” Kiawe muttered as he grabbed Satoshi’s cock, “I couldn’t think of a better night to do it. Call it a congratulations fuck.”
“As opposed to a you tried your best fuck?” Satoshi chuckled, remembering the last few times he challenged the Kahuna ended in a similar scenario, as Kiawe tried to cheer him up. They would spill their cum to lighten the mood, and today was no different, except that there was actual reason to celebrate this time.
“Oh most definitely.” Kiawe licked his lips, before recklessly and violently shoving his erect and well-toned cock straight into Satoshi’s perfect ass. No matter how many times Kiawe reamed the young surfer, his ass never lost its tightness.
“GYAH!” Satoshi moaned, his eyes nearly rolling into the back of his head as pleasure shot through his body. He smiled and grabbed Kiawe’s ass, giving it a good squeeze, “Keep going!” he begged, as his fingers wandered up his boyfriend’s toned butt towards his own rectum.
“W-Wasn't planning to stop!” Kiawe said as he pumped hard onto his boyfriend’s ass. They moaned like dogs as they enjoyed the sex in the night sky. Only the stars were watching them as they did their duty in the heat of the moment. Satoshi’s cock throbbed with excitement, and Kiawe’s was pressed down by the force of his boyfriend’s exceedingly tight asshole.
Soon, the two buckled and blasted out at the same time, as if they were coordinated to do so. Satoshi’s eyes went wide as he was filled by his boyfriend, who got a big splat on the chest in return.
“Hehe… you know what they say about couples who climax at the same time?” Satoshi smirked, moaning as he felt Kiawe pull out.
“No? What’s that?” Kiawe raised an eyebrow, panting as he laid next to Satoshi on the grass.
“They’ll be together forever.” Satoshi smiled, reaching over to give his boy a big fat kiss. In the process, he pulled him down to the grass as well, and the two wrapped around each other once more, frolicking the night away in the grass. Time passed more slowly for them, and the party drifted away in the back of their minds. The two could spend the rest of their lives in that moment, and nothing else would matter.
After around twenty minutes, the two separated and looked at each other, panting and smiling.
“Right…. We should probably head back… They’ll need us for the dance soon.” Kiawe panted.
“Heh yeah. Though we should go get cleaned up first,” Satoshi said with a giggle as he pointed at their chests, which were painted with the results of their love-making.
“Huh, fair point,” Kiawe said, smirking as he got up, “Race ya to the ocean. Looser bottoms for the next month!” he said as he took off.
“HEY! NO FAIR!” Satoshi shouted as he got up and chased after him, a dumb smile on his face as he was more concerned with staring at Kiawe’s ass than winning the race. Even though this reality had been fabricated that very night, it was more real than anything that had come before or since to him at this moment. And he wouldn’t trade that for anything.
