"What do you mean with Ignitus is gone?" Cynder's voice was still calm, but an anger was boiling in between her words. She gazed with a death stare at Terrador, who was standing in front of Cynder with a slight tremble going down his spine.
"I went to check up on him and he is gone. Nothing left, not even the chains that you have bound him in, remained." Terrador carefully chose his words, but his voice revealed a hint of fear and worry. Cynder took a deep breath not to let the anger boil over towards the elder guardian who stood before her. She let an uncomfortable silence hang between her and Terrador to structure the events of the last few days. The ape army betrayed her. They all fled the city. Who watched over Ignitus?
'That was Terrador.' She thought, but was he responsible for Ignitus' disappearance? He was with them for the council of dragons before the apes attacked. Cynder could feel like she was overlooking something, something that was on her mind but refused to be liberated to her.
"My queen?" Terrador finally broke the silence, trying to get her attention in order to break the uncomfortable silence between them. While he stood at attention, he was slowly drooping his wings and shoulders.
"Terrador, silence, I am thinking," Cynder dismissed Terrador, still in her thought to what she missed.
"I understand, my queen, but I thought of something. We assigned general Krakar overseeing Ignitus while we were at council, my queen." Terrador's words seemed to strike himself with as much force as it did Cynder. "Oh...no, I should have seen this...I should have gone to Ignitus immediately." Terrador said, with utter terror in his words.
It struck Cynder on her part with a simple realisation of what the general had said to her; "You can't push us away, so we give you a last chance to put down your reign and help us restore the dark master's rule,"
She instantly regretted not having Spyro by her side after sending him away to patrol the woods around Warfang. "Did you talk to the others about this?" Cynder's voice shook with anger and disgust as she realised the impending consequences. She hoped it wasn't too late.
"No, I did not, my queen. I came straight to you," Terrador answered.
"good, as you should, now. I declare a state of emergency, get every guard on the wall, lock down the city. Tell the others and, by the ancients, get Spyro." She fired off her commands in rapid succession.
"Yes, of course, but my queen might I ask why?" Terrador asked while bowing, waiting to be dismissed.
"Because we will get a visit from Malefor soon and I don't plan to submit to that pile of scales. Now be gone!" Cynder snarled at Terrador, her patience running dry. Now soon after Terrador ran away, the alarm bells of the city started sounding and the sound of the mole people rushing about outside filled the air. Cynder took a deep breath and watched over her kingdom.
"Bring it on, 'Master' " she whispered softly.
Spyro flew over the forest, looking below for any tracks that could betray the apes below the canopy of the dense forest. He could see none, and that had him worried. Spyro was sure of it that the ape army was preparing for something. He could feel it on his nerves. The feeling of irony was clear as he attempted to reach Cynder's castle, intending to stop her, only to realise that he would later employ the same skill to assist her in ruling.
While progressing step by step over the forest, an unfamiliar scent hit his nostrils. It was a faint scent but unmistakingly it had to do with the apes, trough there was something else in that scent. Something he could not quite place, something that was triggering all of his alarm bells. Spyro considered turning around and tell Cynder, but what did he really have to tell? A strange scent? That his nerves got the better of him. No, he needed more information. No, instead he made a series of quick turns to sniff out what direction the scent came from and fly straight towards its source.
The scent grew stronger near Cynder's castle, with its menacing black walls in the distance. Spyro surveyed the rocky forest below. Suddenly, his eyes snapped to a red shape that was placed on a large stone slap. Chains and ropes held a red dragon captive.
"Ignitus!?" Spyro called out in surprise. The dragon did not seem to respond to his call. The purple dragon felt something odd about the situation. His instincts kicked into motion and he slowly circled over his old mentor, intending to help him. He gazed over the place. Surely, some apes needed to be nearby.
A trap, it has to be. No other explanation came into Spyro's mind when observing the scene and thus he turned away to fly away from the scene. Then came a click from the distance, followed by a high-pitched sound of something flying towards him. Spyro instinctual dived and to the side, evading whatever that was flying towards him. Without looking at what they threw at him, Spyro turned around to see who set the trap. In the distance, he could see two apes that had rolled a ballista out of the cover of some bushes and trees.
"I knew it." Spyro grinned and flew towards the apes. However, he oversaw how close he had got to the stone slap Ignitus was lying on. Before Spyro could react, many green magical veins shot up from the ground and wrapped around the deep purple dragon. He could feel the force up on him and pulling him down. He roared out and tried to beat his wings furiously to break free from the magic. One wrapped itself around Spyro's neck and yanked him down with a sudden and powerful pull. The pull caused Spyro to lose control and barrel down to the ground.
Pain shot through his body as his body impacted the ground at a steep angle. The impact left him dazed and confused, trying to get a grip on himself. The situation turned on him and with the sound of a horn, apes came flooding out of the surrounding forest. They bought ropes and chains to chain the purple dragon down to the ground and pull him to a spot not too far from Ignitus.
"It was a trap." Spyro thought while he looked at the apes who surrounded him. Their scents were heavy in the air. The sensations of their scents, his pain and the headache that was forming, made his stomach uneasy. He needed to warn Cynder about whatever was going on, but when he tried to stand up, he found the bounds far too strong to break. Spyro had to wait it out and see what was going on.
He did not have to wait long before the motives of the apes were revealed. Krakar followed another general he only known as the Assassin, one of Gaul's right hands. Spyro grave a deep growl when the Assassin stood in front of his field of vision. The Assassin displayed a wide grin while looking down on Spyro.
"So this is the great Spyro, helpless?" He turned around to call to the ape army. "See here, we caught Cynder's little pet. We are victorious!"
The apes made a quote harrowing and loud sound that seemed like laughing but chilled the purple dragon's bones. His claws scraped the ground, trying to get free, trying to get some kind of grip on the rocks. However, he was helpless as he was hooked onto multiple straps and lifted into the air by a few dozen Dreadwings. Together with Ignitus, they flew away from the spot, followed by the ape army on foot. Spyro kept on struggling in the hope they would release him and he could get free of his bounds. Trough in the distance, he could see a shape flying, a green shape. He sighed, feeling relieved. He thought perhaps they would free him after all.
"You can't find Spyro?" Cynder asked Cyril, who was walking to her side while inspecting the barricades of the main gate. It was certainly a makeshift structure, trying to fortify the heavily damaged gate, trough the mole people worked tirelessly.
"I have looked everywhere, but no trace of him or the apes. The forests are quiet, not even the birds dare to sing today." Cyril spoke softly. He could see Cynder's agony painted on her face and he did not fancy getting in the crossfire of her wrath.
"Spyro, where are you? I need you now" Cynder thought, but did not dare to air those thoughts to the public.
"I don't like what is going on, Cyril. First the apes abduct Ignitus and now Spyro is suddenly gone. Have you checked in with Terrador and Volteer?" She spoke again, turning away from the gate and looking straight at the Ice dragon who stood next to her.
"Yes, I have. We all have not found a trace of both of them. Terrador is still flying over the forest trying to find out what was gone on, but..." the frantic beat of a pair of wings interrupted Cyril. "well talk about the devil."
It was indeed Terrador who came flying straight towards them. Even from a distance, they could see utter panic on his face. With a heavy thumb, he landed in front of Cynder and quickly bowed before her. "My Queen. They got Spyro," He quickly said, preparing himself for what was about to come.
Cynder's thundered through the city as she shouted, "What!?" There was anger laced in her words and her dark mist escaped from the corners of her mouth. The mole people hurried away, trying to stay out of the Queen's crossfire.
"I don't know how, but Spyro and Ignitus were both caught and transported by Dreadwings." Terrador spoke, only now trying to slow down himself again, trying not to overload the Queen with too much at the same time. Something the Queen did not seem to appreciate as she edged him on.
"And to where they are taking him?" She growled softly.
"The well of souls," Terrador answered. "What I do not know is what they are trying to achieve there. Surely luring you there would not end well for them."
Cynder's claws dug into the stone below her, cracking and tearing into it while she tried her best to contain the fury that was boiling inside of her body.
"Deep breath, you are a queen. Look at what your last outburst caused," she told herself to keep from unleashing the fury. "Terrador, do you know what the well of souls can do?"
Terrador shook his head. "No, well, I know the purpose, but for the apes? No, without all elemental powers, it would be useless...Unless they capture us? Queen, are we in danger?"
"Yes, we all are," Cynder growled deeply. "And if they ape try what I think they are going to try, we soon have to face something I hoped to have buried deep and never wished to see again. Terrador, Cyril with me." Cynder spoke and then commanded the two dragons. She made post haste to make her way back to the throne room with the two dragons on two. In there, Volteer was waiting for Cynder. He wanted to speak, but Cynder shut him up and passed him with a single breath. Her eyes carried a murderous gaze.
"What is going on?" He asked Cyril.
"Volteer, shut and follow me," Cynder spoke in answer to Volteer's question. It spooked the yellow dragon, and he jumped slightly before following his two other guardians. Cynder slipped past her throne and towards the door that lead to her private chambers.
"Uhm, Cynder," Terrador started, "You want us to follow you in our private chambers?"
"Yes." Cynder snapped at them. Reluctantly, the three guardians followed Cynder down into her private chambers. She stopped at three large chests that were placed inside of a large room that she had used as a storage room. She flicked the latched on the chest to reveal a finely crashed metal armour that shone with silver and gold.
"Without the ape army to help me. Help me get this on." Cynder Spoke to the guardians. They were still trying to get their heads around, that she invited them to her private chambers. What was more is that each of them had a blush on their face.
"What are they..." Cynder thought, but as soon as she smelled the air more carefully, she could smell why they were acting odd. While faint, the scent of her and Spyro's last love making was still in the air. She snorted angrily at them.
"I will not repeat." Cynder spoke with anger in her voice, her words laced with sharp growls as she spoke. It made the guardians finally move, however they were not fast at pickup up the pieces of armour and kitting her out. They were painfully slow when compared when Spyro or the apes attached the various pieces of armour at her. She could see the most important change in behaviour. The Guardians were ashamed to really touch her. Whereas Spyro had already touched her in all the ways possible and the apes simply did not care.
Terrador especially hold up a plate that was supposed to cover the lower base of her tail. He did not seem to want to move to attach it. "I will let you attach it my Queen," He finally said. Cynder shot him an angry glare.
"Terrador. I am about to ride into battle as the only dragon with elemental powers here against the whole ape army who is going to unleash Malefor. There is no time for modesty now."
"But Spyro."
"They captured Spyro. I would be less concerned about the rage of Spyro about following the orders of your queen, and be more worried about my wrath if your hesitation would get Spyro hurt." Each of her words where spoke with soft growls. Terrador finally moved and attached, albeit a little clumsily, the last plate of armour between her legs. Cynder moved about to test the flex of the armour. Despite the guardian's lack of skill, they attached the armour well.
Spyro was struggling against the bound placed on him while he looked at Ignitus. The elder dragon was finally awake and looking back in at Spyro in fear.
"Is this your doing?" Ignitus asked. All Spyro could do Is shake his head in reply. His mouth was bound shut, not allowing him to speak or bite around. Through the sinking, a pit in his stomach told him something bad was going on. His feeling got confirmed when Krakar, the assassin, and the conductor approached them, each holding an elemental gemstone in hand. They placed the gemstones in particular spots on the ground, so they formed a circle with Ignitus at one part. Spyro felt the electric feeling of magic charging. He struggled more even there was no hope of breaking free. He had to do something and stop this all.
There was no stupid the ritual however, the three ape generals kept ongoing and slowly the magic filled the room until a portal opened in the well of souls. Spyro watched with wide eyes as energy got drawn out of Ignitus and the gemstones. Ignitus roared out in pain as something forcefully pulled his energy out of his body, like what happened when Spyro found him in the clutches of Cynder.
Soon, a deep purple paw pushed out of the portal. The paw had the same colour as Spyro's scales but belonged to a much larger dragon, one that made its presence known as they pushed through the portal. With terror-stricken eyes, Spyro could see the shape of Malefor take shape and appear from the portal. The amethyst coloured evil dragon was larger than he or Cynder were and looked out with malice in his eyes.
The assassin turned around to speak to the apes: "Long have we waited, long have we suffered! But now our master has returned, and his coming shall bring forth a new age of power for the apes., and we shall have our revenge."
Soon, all apes bowed before Malefor, pledging their allegiance to the dragon. Malefor looked around the apes and the two dragons who laid there at his feet. "Assassin, I expected Gaul and Cynder to meet me here." He spoke with a deep, trembling voice.
While still bowed, the assassin kept his bow longer and answered. "Gaul has been slain by the she-dragon that is Cynder." Acid laced his words. Spyro growled at the insult of those words. His struggling attracted the gaze of Malefor, who looked up at the struggling purple dragon.
"Well, well, well, look who we have here, Spyro," Malefor spat out Spyro's name. "Corruption suits you well. You look almost like me. What brought you to my humble reincarnation from prison? Come to bask in the glow of a god? No, your bounds look more like you are still trying to stop me. Foolish little dragon, don't you know I am inevitable?"
Spyro, seeing the face of the evil he was sworn to stop now being free, growled deeply at Malefor and was powerless to stop it.
"We caught Spyro to lead Cynder here, Dark master," the assassin spoke again.
"Oh, why is that so?" Malefor approached Spyro, ignoring Ignitus. When he got closer, his nostrils flared, and he growled in anger. "What is this!?" he roared in anger. "Insulate little thing, trying to claim what is rightfully mine" but then Malefor let out a long laughter. He pulled magic to summon a kind of mirror in front of him. "Well, let's Cynder know where she can fetch her little plaything."
Spyro snarled between the bounds that kept his maw shut, baring his teeth. He wanted to tear into the dark master and rip his heart out himself.
Cynder made her way to the exit of her throne room clad in her armour, growling and trailing black smoke from her mouth. The three guardians together, wanting to speak but unable to determine how to start, simply did not know her plan.
"My queen, we are prepared to back you up. We also want to rescue Ignitus, but what are you planning? We can't help you if we know nothing." Terrador spoke first, making himself larger to take the brunt of her anger if that was to come.
"I am about to fly into the heart of the ape army, towards the only place that can still summon Malefor. I know you worry, but I can't have you getting caught, too." Cynder said dismissively. "Probably all the ape army would be there. It would be a hard task for you to keep up with me."
"I know, my queen, but would be best for us to help? You are strong, but the whole ape army?"
Cynder closed her eyes to breathe. She wanted to lie into the earth-dragon. He was seriously overstepping his boundaries right now, and she wanted to put him in place so badly, but she feared she would go too far by doing that. She did not have the best control of her emotions at this point. Just when she wanted to turn around and give Terrador the business, in front of her a portal like surface opened. Moments later, a purple head appeared. For a moment, Cynder's heart leaped. Was it Spyro?
Then her heart sunk deeply when she saw the face of Malefor take shape. A low threatening rumble emitted from her mouth. Her instinct wanted to tear at the image projected in front of her, even when she knew that this was merely an image, not the real deal.
"Cynder, how pleasant to see you again. I expected you to be at my reappearance. It hurts me to see my mate be not here." Malefor said with a malicious and slick tone that sickened Cynder.
"Malefor, you are looking rather lively. I thought you died when the convexity collapsed." She spat her words out.
"Well, fortunately for the both of us, I am alive. Why don't you come to the well of souls? Now I am free. We can finally consummate on our mate ship,"
Cynder could not help but to laugh. It was not a laugh of joy but sheer disbelieve at what she heard. "Mate ship, really? Malefor, the only thing you are going to mate is your own arse. I am not your mate. I will not serve you. You will address me as queen, nothing more, nothing less."
Malefor contorted his facial expression into a vicious growl and his face became gnarled. "So the rumours are true, if you want to see your little plaything you will come here and beg me for forgiveness. I might spare both your and Spyro's life. If not, oh I will rip him apart in the most painful way."
Cynder could feel tears of sadness and sheer and utter anger form in her eyes. "Malefor, I swear that if you lay even just a finger on him, I will mount your head on a spike."
Her threat made Malefor only laugh in a sickening and shallow way. "You have until the day's end to show yourself and face the consequences of your betrayal." With those words, the image disappeared, leaving Cynder standing quivering in anger with the three guardians behind her.
"You can come with." She hissed in a low tone, "But doing so is your own responsibility. I will not stop unless that dragon is dead." She spread her wings and jumped into the sky. Her pace quickly sped up, and she was beating her wings with fast, powerful beats. Her heart was pounding in her chest, her nerves were on fire and she felt adrenaline rush through her system.
She gazed at the own castle when she flew past it, feeling the memories of what happened in those walls rush by, especially the memories of the last few weeks with Spyro by her side, warming her bed and keeping her comfort. Perhaps she should have been more open about their relationship. It did not matter in the end, since Spyro still got captured. She took another deep breath to refocus herself and aim for the well of souls. She was going to show Malefor what would happen when you mess with a proper queen.
She could hear the guardians trying to keep up behind her. The fools decided that indeed it was a 'wonderful' decision to support her while she flew into what could be for any fool, be certain doom. She trusted her powers, and those she got from Spyro. The only problem was how to kill the unkillable. It had taken the greatest of dragons to lock Malefor into the convexity, and those dragons were no longer around or could no longer help. She knew that if Malefor killed her, it could possibly lead to the extinction of the entire Draconic race. However, she refused to allow herself to be captured alive by the dark master.
In the distance, she could see the well of souls taking shape. This was it, and she took a deep breath to dive and fly in fast. She did not want to risk any traps being set off and her being captured before it all started. Her red eyes pierced through the sky when she tried to scan the ground beneath her for any traps. After finding none, she flew into the opening that led to the central chamber, where Spyro and Ignitus were held in prison and where Malefor was waiting for her.
In the central chamber, she could see Spyro chained up and tried to the ground. The sight filled her with rage. Ignitus was on the other side of him and looked quite horrible. Barely awake and his red scales had dulled by whatever ceremony the apes had performed to get Malefor out of his prison.
Malefor commanded the space with his presence, trough he was not that much larger than she was. That instilled some hope in her. If the apes did not interfere, she might overpower Malefor with brute force. She bared his teeth at him and landed in front of him, puffing up her slender body to appear threatening and big. She did not want to use her secret tricks just yet, staying with what Malefor knew she had as powers before unleashing her second set of powers up on him.
"The unfaithful servant returns to her master," Malefor commented up on her return. "Ready to make penance with your betrayal, Cynder."
Cynder carried herself tall to show some class. "A slave can't betray it's master, as it's servitude is taken and not earned." She commented back with a growling undertone. She gazed straight at Malefor. "I have a proposal for you that would be in the best of your interest to listen to."
Malefor laughed loudly. "A proposal for me? I spend the last few hours hearing what you all did, Cynder. And I am not impressed. Lets hear your proposal, trough I already decided what to do with you,"
Cynder seemed unphased by Malefor's words, even through she was boiling with anger on the inside. She could feel Spyro looking at her, but she did not dare to look back out of fear Malefor was going to pull some nasty trick on her and hurt Spyro. She felt her love made her weak right now, forcing her in a corner even trough it felt right to stand before Malefor and challenge him.
"A proposal. You lay down your arms and swear fealty to me, Queen Cynder, and I let your life give you some territory to rule over as duke. You will keep a limited amount of power, of course, but you are free to reign your territory within my rules."
She expected Malefor to laugh at her, but he did not. Instead, he contorted into an angry growl, gazing at her with spite and hatred.
"After all I gave you? You do this to me? All this power you have is all thanks to me. Without my army, you could not have taken the City you now call your kingdom. You know what, I am going to rip all your limps from your body and keep. You as a limbless breeding vessel for the rest of your life, and your little play thing can watch for a few years before starving to death."
Cynder bared her fangs and let her red mist roll out of her mouth to spread along the floor. "I will enjoy ripping you apart. Don't worry, you will never have to worry about going back to the convexity ever again, because when I am done, there will be nothing left of you."
Behind her, the three guardians landed. They stared with shock at Malefor, but once they saw Spyro and Ignitus, they scurried to help, to the dismay of the apes who jumped out to protect the prisoners.
Malefor let out a deafening roar, the flames bursting from his mouth and illuminating the darkened battlefield. Cynder's nimble body gracefully twisted and turned, narrowly avoiding the scorching heat. As the acrid scent of burning filled the air, she retaliated with a venomous exhale, the noxious fumes swirling around them. Behind her, three apes yelled out as the blast of Malefor's fire hit them. While the scent of burning fur hit Cynder's nose, she ran up the wall to get more leverage and used her powerful hind legs to launch herself at Malefor. Her claws stretched out and dug into the scaled hide on his back, drawing blood as she leaped over his back.
Malefor roared out and twisted around to catch Cynder with his tail and slam with full force against her side. He grinned when his tail contacted the other dragon and send her flying towards the air and towards the ground. She caught herself-crashing into the ground, absorbed by the impact. She panted between her teeth and did not break her line of sight to Malefor.
"My queen, can we help?" Terrador asked, while trying to keep some apes off his hide.
Cynder gave only once glance at Spyro before answering. "Get Spyro free, then Ignitus" She barked her command and jumped straight into the frail, spewing her poison breath forwards to blind Malefor of her attack. It was not enough and Malefor pushed Cynder away with his own fire and claws. He forced Cynder into a group of apes who jumped at her. She easily dealt them with the red mist that quickly overtook them and send them running around in fear.
She wasted little time to jump into the fire again and used each of her tricks, hitting Malefor with her tail. He seemed a little impressed by Cynder's theatrics.
"So predictable." He spoke with a growl. "All this power you stole from me, and you still don't know how to use it,"
Cynder hissed at Malefor, not wanting to even answer his words. Even though she could feel just a little sliver of doubt taking hold. What was worse was that she could see in Malefor's eyes that he knew what was going on. She launched another attack, combining both her fear mist and wind to form a focused. With little effort, Malefor let the mist disappear with his own wind.
"I am over a thousand year old Cynder. You really think you can defeat me? A god? Foolish." Malefor mocked again. Spite, knowing that Malefor was doing this to get her out of the game, she could not help but feel this pit in her soul growl. It was a familiar feeling, a feeling she had all those years while she was under his influence. It made her spine shiver. Could he retake control of her?
She did not want to think of it for longing, instead; she unleashed more of her poison followed by her coiling her tail around a rock and throwing it at Cynder's head.
"Enough!" Malefor's thunderous roar reverberated through the air. With a menacing glare, he unleashed a torrent of amethyst purple aether from his gaping maw. The concentrated beam surged towards Cynder, crackling with a raw energy that filled the surroundings.
Cynder only just evaded the beam and answered with her own Aether breath. Her beam was less controlled but still had a force that even the dark master was afraid. He rolled to the side, so the beam hit the rock behind him. Sending shards of sharp rock raining down up on the apes. She tried to blast Malefor a second time with her most powerful weapon, but she caught by surprise as Malefor send fire towards her. He hit her in the flank and roared out as the heat of the fire burned her scales.
She jumped out of the blast to save her skin from more damage, through both her flanks, where hurting from each of Malefor's attacks. She hissed and evaded another blast from Malefor, who continued to mock her inability to land a few good hits.
"And here I thought you were a serious contender. Poor Cynder, thinking she is all might and a queen. While in reality she is nothing more than my slave, even when she does not want to admit it." He grinned at her while fire leapt from his mouth.
"Shut. It." Cynder growled in rapid breaths. She launched another wave of her poison at Malefor. He used his fire to burn away the poison before it hit him. He just laughed at her. She could feel the laugh going straight to her and making her uneasy. By the ancients, she hated that laugh, how it cut through her thought skin and hit her core she was unprepared for.
Before she realised what was going on, someone blasted her with an aether beam, sending her flying across the arena, crashing into the wall, and falling to the ground. Pain filled her body. She had trouble to stand up for a while. Helpless but to watch Malefor approach her with a grin on his face.
"Ready to give up, Cynder?" He asked maliciously. "I promise I will be mild about your punishment if you do."
'it would be easy if I give up now' The thought entering her mind made Cynder fear her own resolve. She could not lose to him. There was only pain in that future and Malefor's plans to unleash the world eater would end all her plans. Her defeat would undoubtedly result in Spyro not surviving the events that were coming. She slowly got up, trying to summon the powers she got from Spyro, but something blocked them from us.
Malefor pinned Cynder against the wall, his hot breath flushing over her neck. "Perhaps, just give up. I promise I will make sure you will enjoy my cock as I take you here before your little pet's eyes." Malefor's voice dripped with hatred. Cynder growled at his words, wanting to strike her old master, but for a second there was a doubt and it made her tremble in fear that she could not thrust herself to know what was right. Even when the thought of what Malefor offered sickened her to the core, years of torment came rushing into her mind again. Each pain reminded her of her disobedience to Malefor, and the punishments she endured in the past.
"Let her go!" There was a familiar shout that drawn her from her thoughts. Then Malefor roared out in pain as a beam of aether hit him. Cynder could not believe what she was seeing as the origin of the aether beam was Spyro. She did not waste time and clawed at Malefor to escape his clutches. She joined Spyro's side and fired her own dark aether beam at the old purple dragon. Her beams contacted him square in the chest and send him flying backwards in a pained growl.
"How!?" He exclaimed, his voice filled with frustration and determination. His eyes scanned the surroundings, desperately searching for a way to regain his composure. The air crackled with tension as he mustered every ounce of strength to retaliate against the duo. With a swift and agile leap, they gracefully evaded his powerful beams, their movements almost effortless. The distinct smell of ozone lingered in the air, a tangible reminder of the raw energy that permeated the scene.
"Cover me," Cynder called out urgently to Spyro, his scales covered in a cloud of swirling dust as he swiftly fashioned a makeshift dirt screen to shield their movements. The gritty particles danced in the air, stinging their eyes and leaving a faint earthy scent in their nostrils. With determination, Cynder swooped down towards Malefor once more, her wings cutting through the air with a soft, whooshing sound. As she approached her formidable foe, a torrent of scorching flames burst forth from her jaws, enveloping Malefor in a blazing inferno. The crackling of the flames filled the air, drowning out any other sounds. Seizing the opportunity, Cynder unleashed a powerful surge of electricity, causing Malefor's body to convulse and crumble to the ground. The sharp scent of burnt ozone hung in the air, mingling with the acrid smell of singed scales. The intense surge of power coursing through Cynder's veins sent a tingling sensation throughout her body, fuelling her with newfound strength and resolve.
Cynder hissed when a euphoric joy rushed over her. Trough Malefor was not done. He stood up slowly, his eyes dripping with anger. His snarl was vicious and his nostrils flared to take in the duo's scent that was fighting him with an effectiveness that he did not expect. He let forth a belch of his powerful dark aether attack towards Spyro. He stood fast and answered the blast head on with his own blast.
The two blasts met in the middle and exploded, sending everything sending crashing against the walls. Spyro and Cynder were both on the other ends of the arena, with Malefor crashing in between them. Ignitus by being chained down did not more, but the other three guardians were not as lucky and were each blasted into the structures above the walls.
Cynder crawled, her body sore from the fighting and her anger boiling over. This was enough. She could not survive this onslaught longer and had to end this fighting now before it was escalating out of control. Slowly, she moved to Malefor, breathing out her mist. This time, he could not use his powers to flush the mist away.
He took a deep breath and his pupils dilated when it took effect. Cynder grinned softly "Tell me what scares the great thousand year old god."
Malefor looked at Cynder with wide eyes and tried to get on his feet. "No!" He roared "do not!" He blasted fire a round, through the blasts where uncoordinated and easily evaded. Even with his mind clouded with her fear, she could see that he was still in the fight and could take her on. Trough being distracted with the fear allowed her an opportunity to strike. She blasts Malefor again with her aether. Spyro caught on and joined her with his own blasts. Each other cracked more of Malefor's scales until he became battered and bruised.
Cynder stopped Spyro by simply raising her wings. She pushed on her claw on top of Malefor's neck, pinning him under her. She did not waste a single word on him. Cynder opened her mouth to breathe out her purple fog, using the same magic she had used on Spyro. Trough, unlike with Spyro, this was not sensual. She was not trying to seduce him, no she would take his powers by force.
Malefor coughed and choked when the mist invaded his mouth and nostrils. He looked up with fear and the realisation of what was about to happen. Next were his howls of pain as Cynder ripped Malefor's magic from his body.
"Spyro, come," she said, hinting at Spyro to join her by her side. Spyro did so, but looked confused. There was a hint of recognition in his eyes, but he was weary of Malefor. Cynder caught Spyro by surprise by kissing him deeply and intimately in front of Malefor. The magic now flowed between them, show balling the purple magic between her and Spyro.
Spyro could feel the Mist invading his body too, rough instead of last time, where it sucked out his powers. He could feel some of the dark master's powers flow into him. They kept on their sensual kiss, showing to everyone in the room what they were of each other. Cynder tugged don Spyros' collar that she gave him the time they first met, and she claimed him. He was hers, hers alone, and now she was giving him something precious back. Malefor's magic was coursing through her veins, making her feel more powerful.
When the magic stopped flowing, she finally broke the kiss, leaving a thin trail of saliva between the two. She hummed deeply before turning to Malefor. "What to do about you?" She wondered out loud.
"Oh, I know!" she said suddenly and grinned at him. She opened her maw and let. forth a blast of her new found powerful aether. The screaming of pain filled the chamber when the blast enveloped the dark master. Spyro roared and joined Cynder's blast with a blast of green flames. The purple and green mixed and swirled around each other. Slowly turning Malefor's scales black with their combined power. Malefor's screams stopped and he collapsed into a blackened, burned corpse. Yet the pair did not stop.
Slowly their fire and aether ate away and turn Malefor into dust. By the time they were one, there was nothing left of him but a dragon shaped shade burned into the ground where he stood. Cynder turned to Spyro and hummed. "Thank you, love."
She turned to walk away from the mark, looking up at the four guardians who watched it all in horror. "We are done here" she spoke and spread her wings.
"And for you all!" She turned to the ape army. "This serves as a warning. You are under my rule. If you value your lives, you present your generals to me right now."
The ape army was roaring and shouting in confusion. Cynder did not have to wait for the three generals to be pushed before her. Each of them shouting back at the apes who pushed them forwards, calling them traitors. Cynder smiled kindly.
"Generals, Generals, I am not an unreasonable queen. You will not die by my hand."
As the three generals bowed before her, her words caused confusion among them. "My queen, Malefor has confused us. We pray for your pity, and we could serve you," the assassin spoke. Receiving a small hum from the black queen.
"Spyro, you know what to do." She said while walking past the generals to the exit from the well of souls. The generals looked at Spyro with surprise in their eyes as he walked up to them. When Spyro opened his maw and a flame built, they swore at Cynder.
"You said we would not be killed!" They shouted at her.
"I said, not by my hand." Cynder answered, "Commander Spyro, be a darling and get rid of these pests."
She did not have to ask twice. Spyro unleashed a torment of green fire that enveloped the three generals. Their screams of torment filled the air as their fur lit on fire and their skin melted under Spyro's fire.
"Is it done?" Cynder asked without turning around.
"Yes, it is. My queen," Spyro hummed softly, taking his spot by her flank.
Without a further word, Cynder took to the sky and headed back to Warfang, her city. Spyro flew by her right flank, trailing her by just a tail's length. Further away behind the pair were the four guardians, who flew side by side with Ignitus and Terrador in the middle.
"God, I am sore," Cynder complained, feeling each of her muscles ache from the fighting. She could not wait but to let herself soak in the hot spring and sleep a full week before becoming active again.
"I could give you a massage, my queen," Spyro offered her. She hummed in agreement, almost rolling out a delighted purr at Spyro.
"That would be lovely. I keep you to that Commander," Her voice dripped down low and husky for a moment, teasing Spyro slightly with what was to come.
Back at the royal chambers, they wasted no time in privacy to rush to the heated bath. Cynder hummed and stretched out, rolling on her back, exposing her still armoured belly to him.
"Now my pet, be so kind and get rid of this armour, it hurts my scales so and you don't want to have my scales hurt do you?" She spoke with half slitted eyes, looking at her purple dragon with lust dripping from her gaze. Spyro did not even dare to let her have to repeat herself.
"Yes Mistress, of course not Mistress," he answered, and his hands slowly roamed across her armour, getting rid of the straps and latches that hold the delicately carved metal plates to her body. With each plate that came from her body, he gave a few soft kisses on her beautiful, gothic figure. He hummed softly, enjoying himself as he worshipped his mistress' body. He worked from top to bottom, working down until he undid the plate that covered the area under her tail.
Cynder squirmed slightly under his touch. It was Devine to be worshiped by the one she trusted most. His hands and kisses send small down her scales. She could feel her slit puff up slightly and become wet with anticipation. Even if he became dominant for the first time, she might just let him as her need was building. She was running on a potent cocktail of the euphoria from the fight, the adrenaline still in her system and the growing lust of having Spyro take care of her aches. It made her stomach burn even more with desire than normal; it was almost unnatural with the amount of heat it was creating. When Spyro removed the plate between her legs, and uncovered the wet hot surprise she had stored between her legs, it hit them with the full force of Cynder's pheromones. The rich, thick, fertile scent did more than just excite Spyro. It also told Cynder something she should have known; She was entering her heat cycle.
Cynder looked between Spyro's legs to see it had the desired result as his member stiffened and stood ready and at attention to service her. Cynder licked her lips, looking forward to having it buried deep into her snatch and clench the heat that she was feeling. Spyro slowly dipped down his head and pushes his snout against her heated slit. His hot breath was sending waves of pleasure across her uvula and her system.
Spyro wasted little time before he tasted her nectar and service his queen properly. Cynder growled in pleasure as the purple dragon devoured her. She attended to one front claw to pull on his horns, pulling him in closer to her snatch. Her tail flicked against and tease his member. Drawing out some of his pre-cum and making a mess of her tail. Her tail blade poked at his tail hole, teasing him in a devious way that made him rumble deeply.
It wasn't long before Cynder moaned out loud in a deep Draconic rumble. She pushed her hips up against his snout and coated it in her clear liquids. Spyro was like a hungry dog, lapping it all up like it was his only meal in months. It was heavenly even when her bruised body did not allow her to move much. She stopped teasing his member and instead coiled her tail around his neck to hold him in place while the pleasure in her body was building up. She was boiling over and smoke came from her nostrils as the pleasure nearly made her spew out an uncontrolled yet of fire multiple times.
When she looked down, she could see Spyro looking back up at her with lusty, hunger filled eyes. He looked straight into her eyes while plunging his tongue deep inside of her.
"Yess my pet," she encouraged him. "keep going, make me cum, eat me up,"
Spyro did not need that said a second time and redoubled his effort, hell bent on making sure that he satisfied his mistress before moving on to what would undoubtedly be the main course of the evening. Cynder gasped, feeling her chest hurt while she did so, but she could not let it go. The pleasure in her was building to an uncontainable level. With a yet roar of pleasure and then a moan of pain, she unleashed herself and climaxed in his face. Leaving the purple dragon's maw coated in layers of her most intimate juices. Filling his nostrils with the scent of her heat.
"My queen," He spoke, breaking away from her slit, licking his maw clean from her juices. Cynder did not say a thing in her afterglow, but beckoned him over. Slowly, Spyro moved up her body, licking, kissing and nibbling as he went until he was face to face with her. He kissed her neck softly and gently.
Cynder gripped his horns and guided him to kiss her deeply and hungrily. Spyro's length pushed against her sensitive snatch, pushing up against it and wetting itself with her juices. Cynder moaned into the kiss. Wrapping her hind legs around his hint and locking them in place. He was going nowhere until he unleashed all what he offered deep in her.
"I need you, Spyro, but go slow. My body is sour from the fight." She whispered in his ear in a low, husky tone. She could feel him slowly push forwards and finally penetrate her awaiting hot depths. He followed her command and moved slowly, letting her adjust to his size and length while her body was making itself comfortable for what was going to be a long, long night. Guided by Cynder's legs, Spyro started long thrusts into her awaiting depths.
The wet sounds of their hips meeting filling the air and their scent thick, the sounds, feeling and smells driven them on into a mind numbing feeling of pleasure and love. Cynder nibbled and bit on his neck, enjoying herself and laying claim to the dragon above her. While Spyro was gritting his teeth, trying to keep his beastly instincts at bay and not hurt her in there fucking.
Cynder moved around a bit to get in a more comfortable position. Soon the pain in her body combined with the pleasure in an odd sensation. Cynder did not quite know what to feel about it. Trough ultimately, she craved just one thing; for her second climax to hit and Spyro to fill her up with his hot seed.
"Cynder..." Spyro gasped between thrusts. Knowing fully well he was not properly calling her his mistress, but he wanted to share something deeper. "I love you, Cynder."
Cynder broke the bites on his neck, licking away the blood that some of his bites caused before kissing him deeply. Enjoying the combined tastes of him, her own juices and his blood in his mouth. She broke the kiss only to speak "I love you too, my Spyro, my pet, my royal consort, my general and my love, not fill me up with your seed, claim your queen as yours!"
She could feel Spyro speed up and ram deeper into her. Soon his knot pushed against her opening, wanting to force itself deeply into her. She roared in pain and pleasure while adding force behind Spyro's thrusts, pushing him deeper and deeper until finally the knot slipped in. They roared out and tilted their heads back to spit out fire. The green and orange flames whirled into a hurricane while Spyro unleashed his seed on her. He collapsed on her, sending a wave of pain through her bruised body. When he did so, she flinched at it but bore through it, hugging him tightly with her wings.
"Oh Spyro," she cooed softly. "You and I are going to have a long night. I just have one question."
"And that would be my queen?" Spyro spoke exhausted.
"Are you ready to become a father?"
Spyro's response was a deep kiss as the two shared a most intimate hug.
The mole people said that after the defeat of Malefor, Cynder had to spend a full week healing. Trough, they did not know what was really going on. The pair mated for a full week with, only breaking for food and drinks. By the time they were done, not even the most thorough of baths could get rid of each other scents on their scales and Cynder's heat was completely gone. Trough Cynder was keeping the last one a surprise for her big, purple dragon.
