Chapter 5

The truth to be told.

As the first rays of morning sun light slowly flooded into Jade's and Storm's room as the two lifemates lay still sleeping. Jade was lying on her front on top of Storm, both with smiles on their muzzles from the happiness and love they shared for each other. As the sun light shined softly on Storm he started to stir, feeling the warmth of the sun and that of his mate sleeping peacefully on top of him still in his arms. Opening his eyes, he looked down to see her still sleeping soundly with her left leg draped over his groin while her right leg was touching his on the side. He could feel her that her stomach was still bloated, her arms holding him lightly with her head pressed against his shoulder. He lie enjoying her warm breath washing over his chest fur, just lying still so as not to disturbed his resting lover.

As Storm lay there on the bed just staring at Jade's beautiful body resting softly on top of him, her golden fur glowing in the softly in the sun light, listening to her breathing, he started to move his paw to her back and gently stroked her neck fur. He moved his paw down her spine, making her sigh contently while she was still sleeping. He continued stroking her back softly.

Storm tilted his head to see the tip of her tail begin to flick side to side as her breathing became heavier as she slept. He gently lifted Jade's sleeping body and placed her fully on top of him. He moved his paws towards her legs and placed them over his legs, then slowly lifted her hips so her legs were equally balanced, now fully open as she slept. He placed her tail between their open legs next to his own tail. As he felt the bed covers with a paw, he felt a big damp patch of their juices from there mating the night before. His paw fur absorbed what little of their juices was left on the bed. As he brought his paw to his muzzle he could smell the mixture of the aromas. As he put his finger in his mouth and sucked it clean, enjoying the taste of both of their flavours, it gave him an idea.

Licking his lips as he savoured the flavour, he moved both of his paws down to Jade's tail and moved it aside, resting it over her the back of her right leg. Slowly he started to caress her soft butt cheeks with his paws, squeezing them softly. "Morning, my sweet lover," Jade said happily, looking at Storm's paws that he held above his head with a lustful glint in her eye. She pulled it out of her muzzle with a loud POP and looked at Storm.

"Now that will teach you not to wake me so rudely, Storm," Jade giggled as she placed one of her fingers on his nose and followed it with a kiss.

"Next time you have that idea my love, wake me first or else," Jade joked as she nuzzled his neck softly.

"Or else what, Jade?" Storm asked, sounding a little worried at what she would tell him.

"If you try that again while I'm sleeping, I'll stick one of my fingers into one of your holes as you sleep", Jade growled softly in a joking way as she looked at him, pressing her body into him.

"You think we better clean the bed, then, my love?" Storm asked his mate lying on top of his body as she rolled onto her back to lie next to her mate. She looked down at her swollen yellow abdomen and ran a paw over her bulging belly, smiling to herself.

"Well, we should clean up our mess, but can we lie here for a bit longer? I feel stuffed from last night." Jade sighed as she remembered the events from the night before with a huge grin on her muzzle as she lifted herself to her side, resting her head on Storm's shoulder.

"So, when do we tell Sam and Blaze that we're staying in the digital world, my love?" Jade asked as Storm turned his head to the right, looking deeply into her eyes as he stroked her furry cheek.

"We better tell them soon, as they mean to be going back to the real world soon," Storm told her softly as he spoke.

As Storm and Jade lie there on the bed, Jade's arm draped over his chest, both enjoying the warmth of the morning sun, there was a knock on their door, which made them both jump. They relaxed on the bed and rushed to cover up their mess before they answered by flipping the covers over and sitting on top once again.

"Come in," Jade said in a raised voice as the door opened and Taomon entered their room.

"Good morning, Jade. Good morning, Storm. How are you two this morning?" Taomon asked as she looked at the young couple lying on the bed. Seeing her daughter's slightly distended stomach, she smiled to herself.

"Well, it look's like you two were busy last night," Taomon said with a sly smile as both Jade and Storm replied: "Good morning, Mother, we're fine thank you."

Jade continued to speak.

"And how are you today, Mother?" she asked the robed digimon quickly.

"I'm fine, child. Thank you for asking," Taomon answered Jade happily as she walked over to the window and pulled the curtains open, flooding the room with sunlight.

"You know that Blaze and Sam are planning to head back to the real world today, so I hope you two are going to see them before they go home," Taomon said to the couple now sitting up on their bed.

"We were going to spend the morning with them after breakfast, Mother," Storm answered joyfully.

"Well, I've asked them here for a goodbye breakfast", Taomon said as they all heard a knock at the front door.

"It looks like our guests have arrived. Well, I'd better welcome them, and I want you two down stairs in ten minutes," Taomon said.

"Ok, Mother, we'll be down in a few minutes," Jade replied, hugging Storm. Taomon left the couple alone and went to open the door. As soon as Taomon left the room, both Jade and Storm sighed.

"That was close, Storm," Jade said softly. "If Mother had seen the mess we made last night I would have been so embarrassed." Jade giggled as she looked at Storm.

"So, what are we going to do about that?" Storm asked as he pressed his paw on Jade's belly, making her squirm as he placed his free arm around her back in a close embrace and nuzzled at her neck and chin lovingly.

"Shall we head down to see Sam and Blaze?" Storm asked, his voice muffled because his muzzle was still pressed into Jade's neck.

"Yes, we shall," Jade said as she panted. She was enjoying the feeling her mate was giving her as he teased her neck.

As Storm let go of Jade and she started to walk past him, she lifted her tail high enough for him to see her slender ass cheeks. He grabbed her ass cheeks with his paw, making Jade jump a little in surprise. She let out a yelp as she turned around to face Storm.

"I warned you about doing stuff like that, my love," Jade said in a low growl as she pounced towards him. As she landed on him, the speed of the pounce forced them both to the floor with a thud. Jade was sitting on Storm's stomach with her legs on either side of him as she pinned his arms down with her paws, leaning her head close to his. Storm could feel her warm breath blowing gently from her open muzzle.

"You are so going to get what you deserve tonight. I'm going to make you wish you had never done that," Jade whispered lustfully into Storm's ear with an evil grin on her muzzle. As Jade licked the underside of Storm's muzzle seductively, Storm grabbed hold of the back of Jade's thighs with his paws. "We can't do this right now, my love." Jade gasped as she spoke from the continued rubbing of fur on fur as he held her in his paws.

Jade turned around to walk out of the bedroom with a smile on her muzzle to see her mate sitting on the floor. As she turned to look again, all see could see was a black wall of fur standing not even half a foot away from her tip of her nose. He took hold of her in his paws and pushed her backwards, gently pressing Jade against the back of the door. Their lips met in a deep kiss. After a few minutes he broke from the kiss and looked down to see his member now fully out.

"Damn! Now I think I need a cold shower. Why did I fall in love with someone as sexy as you, Jade?" Storm asked his mate lovingly as he released his paws, their bodies still pressed together against the bedroom door.

Jade finally pushed Storm away from herself, both slightly panting, happily knowing that her mate loved her with all his heart as they heard Taomon calling up to them from the kitchen, "Jade, Storm, our guests are waiting down here. Are you two ever going to greet them?"

"I think mother is getting a little impatient with us now. I had better go down to say hi. I'll see you down there in a few minutes." Jade spoke softly as she placed a light kiss on Storm's cheek. She walked out of the door with Storm just watching the way she moved; just enjoying the way her tail moved side to side as she walked. He headed to the bathroom to have a very cold shower.

As Sam, Blaze, and Taomon heard paw steps coming down the stairs they turned their heads to see Jade walking down the last few steps before coming into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes as she smiled at them.

"Storm's just having a quick shower before he joins us for breakfast," Jade explained to the group as she walked into the warm kitchen with a smile on her muzzle just before she open her mouth again.

"Good morning, Sam; good morning, Blaze, how are you two today?" Jade asked happily to the couple already sitting at the table.

"Well, good morning to you Jade- or should we say, Mrs. Devil Renamon?" Sam giggled as she continued to speak.

"We're fine, thank you, Jade. How was your first night with Storm as a mated couple?" Sam asked Jade with a smile.

"It was amazing, Sam, and I want to thank both of you for making yesterday so wonderful for me and Storm." Jade barked happily as she bowed her head towards them.

Sam got out of the chair and walked over to Jade to give her a hug as she started to speak. "Jade, I want to thank you for letting me and Blaze take part in your and Storm's life mate ceremony yeste...." Sam was saying happily but was interrupted by a scream from upstairs.

Everyone in the room looked around in panic as they all rushed to find the source of the scream. The group ran up the stairs to see what had happened. As they headed towards Jade's and Storm's bathroom they saw the young maid Renamon standing with her back pressed fully against the door, her arm pressed against the walls. She was in pure fear at what she had just seen. They heard banging on the door from inside the room. Taomon slowly walked over to the girl so as not to frighten her any more.

"Are you going to be ok?" Taomon asked the petrified Renamon softly as she placed one of her paws on her shoulder and looked into her eyes. All the young Renamon could do was nod at the banging on the door behind her.

"Who's locked in the bathroom?" Sam asked the maid Renamon who just stood there too shocked to talk. As Jade and Blaze made themselves ready to fight whoever was trapped in the locked bathroom, a voice came from behind the door.

"What the hell is going out there; why is the door locked?" Storm shouted from the other side of the door, sounding very confused at what had just happened as Jade, Sam, and Blaze started to laugh upon hearing his voice.

Taomon looked at the young Renamon, seeing that she had tears slowly welling up in her eyes. She turned her head to Jade, Sam, and Blaze and gave them all a stern glare, making them stop laughing in a split second. As Taomon looked softly at the maid Renamon, placing her paw around her, she started to speak.

"Come now, child, let us go and get you a drink to clam your nerves, while my daughter gets her mate out of there." Taomon spoke softly to her so she wouldn't frighten her more.

"Ok, Lady Taomon," she whimpered as she wiped her eyes, drying her tears with the back of her paws as she followed Taomon towards the stairs.

As Taomon reached the top of the stairs, she turned her head to look at Jade, her eyes glaring with rage at her daughter as she opened mouth to speak.

"Jade, when you get your mate out of there, I want to see both of you in private once Sam and Blaze have left us." Taomon spoke coldly, making Jade wince at the tone of her mother's voice. Jade started to answer back.

"But Mother, I'm sure that Storm can-" Jade said sheepishly, her head lowered as she tried to tell Taomon, who interrupted her mid-sentence.

"NO buts, Jade. I want to see you and Storm as soon as our guests leave. I want to see you both in my room," Taomon shouted at Jade just before she turned her head as she walked down the stairs after the young Renamon. All of them heard her sob lightly as the two headed to the kitchen, leaving Jade, Sam, and Blaze to let Storm out of the locked bathroom. Sam walked over to the door and knocked on the door.

"Yes, Mother," Jade moped.

"Storm, are you ok in there?" Sam asked her friend. He responded from the other side of the bathroom door.

"Can you ask Jade to come in here, please, Sam?" Storm asked from the other side of the door. His voice sounded worried as he spoke. Sam turned her head to Jade who just nodded her furry head.

"I'll be there as fast as I can, my love." Jade barked happily just before she teleported herself away, fading into thin air.

Inside the bathroom, Jade faded in. She slowly looked around, seeing a big bathtub to the right of her still filled with water with a trail of wet hind paw prints heading towards the door. As she looked to the left, seeing a sink in the middle of the central wall, she suddenly felt a paw touch her shoulder, which made her jump a little, followed by an arm sliding against her stomach. Jade then felt a pair of lips press lightly on her neck, making her moan lightly.

"So, what did you do to her, Storm?" Jade asked her mate as she enjoyed the tender kisses he was placing on her neck. Storm moved his lips from her neck as she turned to face him before he started to explain what had happened.

"Honestly, Jade, I didn't do anything to her, I swear. All that happened was I was having a cold bath when I heard the door open behind me. I stood up in the bath and turned around, thinking it was you, only to see her standing in front of the open door with my cock still fully extended pointing straight at her. She rushed out of here, slammed the door and locked it, and the next thing I heard was her screaming at the top of her voice," Storm told his mate, looking into her eyes, showing Jade that he was telling her the truth.

"Storm, I trust you and know you would never go with another female as we are bound to each other, but it is quite funny and I think she just overreacted at what she saw of you," Jade said, softly running a paw through the fur on his cheek as she placed her lips on his softly.

As they broke from their kiss, both staring into each other eyes, Storm whispered, "I love you with all my heart Jade, but one thing: how do we get out of here?" Storm asked his mate.

"Like this, but don't you think you should dry off a bit before we go down?" Jade told Storm as she moved her paw past his black furred body and pressed a finger against the door, pushed a button in, making a loud clicking noise as the door unlocked itself and opened itself. They walk out to see the waiting faces of Sam and Blaze.

"Well, we better go down and have something to eat before our trip back to the real world." Sam spoke happily to the group as Jade and Storm looked at each other just as Jade was about to speak.

"Well, we'll head down while you get dried off, and this time, no more screams, please," Jade told him as they headed towards the stairs. Storm went back to his and Jade's room to get dry.

After ten minutes, Storm came down to the kitchen, hearing that no one was talking as he reached the last few steps. As he got to the bottom step, he poked his head around the wall to take a quick look, seeing Taomon, Jade, Sam, and Blaze sitting around the kitchen table. He saw the young Renamon sitting between Taomon and Jade. She was taking a sip from a bowl in her paws. He could see that her eyes were a bit puffy from crying. He saw a space next to Jade and walked over to his mate.

As he looked around the table he saw Sam and Blaze talking to each other. He turned his head to look at Taomon, who had a slight smile on her face. He finally looked at the maid Renamon with a smile on his muzzle as she lowered her head so she couldn't look him in the eye. He walked next to Jade and sat down. Jade put her paw on his thigh under the table and rested her head on his shoulder, sighing happily as he started to speak.

"I would like to apologize for any embarrassment that I have cause to our young Renamon friend this morning. I know it's Sam's and Blaze's last day here in the digital world, so I want to apologize with all my heart to everyone in this room." Storm spoke loudly enough so everyone in the room could hear him.

"That's very noble of you, Storm, and I'm sure that out Renamon friend here will accept your apology", Taomon said softly as she looked at the young Renamon sitting next to her. The young Renamon looked up to see Taomon's blue eyes. She turned her head to face Storm and nodded weakly as Taomon started to speak again.

"Well I think we have heard enough of this subject; let's just put it to rest. So, who's up for some breakfast, then?" Taomon asked everyone in the room, including the young maid Renamon, who was smiling as Jade started to chat with her.

Taomon got up out of her chair to get breakfast ready for everyone. As she walked over to the counter, Storm looked over to her and spoke.

"Tao, would you like any help with getting the breakfast ready?" Storm asked the robed digimon happily.

"Well, thank you, Storm, for asking, but I think you and Jade have something you need to tell Sam and Blaze before they leave this morning," Taomon answered back, sounding a little bit serious, making Sam and Blaze stop talking at the sound of their names being called out by the female digimon.

"Storm, what's Taomon talking about?" Sam asked her now-digimon friend, sounding totally confused with a concerned look on her face as Jade and the young Renamon stopped talking as Sam started to speak again.

"Storm, what's happened; what's wrong?" Sam asked the black digimon sitting opposite her. Storm looked at Jade, who just nodded to say it was ok to tell them.

"S-Sam." Storm stammered as he started to speak. Jade held his paw in hers as she smiled weakly at them. Storm could feel tears starting to build in his eyes as he started to speak.

"Sam, we know that you and Blaze are planning to head back to the real world later on today, but we won't be going back with you. Jade and I have spoken about this, and we have decided to stay here, as this is now our home. We're staying here with Taomon," Storm said softly to Sam and Blaze.

"But why, Storm? You had everything back home: money, a fantastic apartment, friends that care for you," Sam told him in a soft tone as he interrupted her.

"Sam, my apartment is nice, that's true, but most of the so-called friends you're talking about only like me for my money, not me. Apart from you, Sam; we've been friend for so many years you're more like a sister to me then a friend, and having lost my mother when I was sixteen in that car crash... hell I don't even know who my father is, and the only one that treated me like his son was Shadow, my mom's digimon, only to lose him when I was five years old in a fight to save me and my mom." Storm spoke with a low growl in his tone as he continued.

"But, Sam, you must understand what I'm about to say. I have a mate that loves me, an amazing home, I even have a mother now that loves me as a son," Storm said with a softer tone to his voice as Taomon called out from behind them.

"Now, I never said that, did I?" she said jokingly, making everyone laugh. Storm felt a heavy weight lift from his heart as Jade placed a kiss on his cheek as she still giggled at what her mother had just said.

"That was one thing that me and Storm here have talked about, and that is we're giving you our apartment in the real world. We both know your place is nice, but our place has been paid off, so all you have to buy is food and fuel for Storm's car," Jade told Sam and Blaze happily.

"WHAT!" both Sam and Blaze shouted at Jade and Storm, making them smile.

"I'm giving you my home, my car, and I know your going to try to turn this down, but I'm also giving you all the money I have from my inheritance," Storm told them, still trying to stop himself from giggling.

"Why, Storm? You know I can't accept all that from you," Sam said in shock, her eyes wide open.

"Well, seeing that I'm not going to have any use for it anymore, I just thought that someone I cared for could use it. Besides, I've put it in my will so that you get everything, and seeing as KJ is no more, I believe that would mean you get the lot." Storm spoke calmly as he took a sip of tea from a bowl he had been given.

"I guess saying no isn't going to work then, now is it, Storm," Blaze said jokingly to his friend.

"No, Blaze, it won't make any difference even if you say no 'cause its all done legally so when you get back just give them a death certificate to say that KJ is no more and then everything is yours," Storm told them with a smile as he continued to speak.

"Well, call it a thank-you present from me and Jade for yesterday," Storm said happily, a smile beaming on his muzzle as he looked at his friends.

"Well, I know we can't win this argument so thank you very much. Now, Storm, can you come here please?" Sam asked the black digimon as he got out of the chair and started to walk round to Sam.

"Jade, I hope you don't mind me doing what I'm about to do?" Sam asks Jade with a grin on her face as she took a few steps forward, grabbing hold of Storm's head in her hands as she placed her lips on Storm's lips, making him blush as Sam kissed the black Renamon. After a minute, they broke from their kiss as Sam whispered into Storm's ear, "Thank you so much, Storm. I don't know how to repay you," Sam told him softly.

"Well, I'm not worried about Storm. I mean, I know Sam's cute, but I'm cuter," Jade joked as she got out of her chair and walked round behind Storm, embracing him in her arms as she placed her head on his neck, sighing with joy as she closed her eyes breathing in his strong scent as Taomon cut in Jade's moment with her love.

"Shall we have something to eat before Sam and Blaze have to leave on there long trip home later? Let's enjoy the morning," Taomon said happily as the group spent the morning talking about how the ceremony went last night. Everyone enjoying themselves as the hours passed, waiting for the time to come when their friends had to leave when they heard a beeping coming from Sam's pocket. She took out of her digivice with a message on the screen. She slowly turned her head towards Blaze.

"It's time, honey. We have to go," Sam said softly, looking into Blaze's light blue eyes as he only nodded in agreement. Storm and Jade got out of their chairs, walking round to Sam and Blaze. The group walked to the main door and into the main square, still decorated from Jade and Storm's ceremony the evening before. They stood in front of Taomon's house as she walked to the open door to see the four of them in the middle of the square.

"Well, Storm, I don't know what to say. Will we ever see you two again?" Sam asked as tears started to fall slowly down her pink cheeks. Storm used his paws to dry her cheeks as best he could while she was still crying lightly.

"Sam, I'm sure you will see us again, 'cause as long as you are my closest friend, I'll be there for you when you need me, but hopefully it shouldn't be that often, as you have Blaze," Storm said, his speech slowly turning into a light sobbing.

"I'm going to miss you, Storm, not having my best friend around anymore...I don't know what I'll do without you. I mean, how long have we known each other, Storm?" Sam asked as she continued to sob. Storm put his arms around his friend, giving her a hug.

"A long time, Sam. You were always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. You helped me through he hard times after my mother died, and I cannot say how I felt about you when you and Blaze took part in my life mate ceremony to Jade," Storm said. As he started to cry, he wrapped his arms around Sam and they placed their heads on each other's shoulder, both crying.

"Jade, it was a honour to take part in your and Storm's ceremony, as it has been an honour getting to know you as a friend over these past few months," Blaze said proudly to Jade, who smiled at him.

"It has been fun getting to know you and Sam as well, Blaze, but the least me and Storm can do for you two is give you our home in the real world to say thanks you for all your help keeping Storm from harm for the three days we were apart," Jade spoke softly to her friend as she placed a kiss on his cheek. She walked over to Sam and Storm.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything. I should be worried about now, you two," Jade joked as Storm and Sam broke from their hug, both with tears in there eyes as they looked at Jade with smiles on their faces.

"Jade, I have two things to say to you," Sam said, still sobbing lightly as she spoke again.

"Promise me you'll keep the hunk of a mate of yours out of trouble as long as you can, and knowing Storm for as long as I have, that'll be about five minutes." Sam giggled as she spoke, making Jade giggle as well as she walked over to Sam, throwing her arms around her human friend as they hugged.

"So, what's the second thing you wanted to say to me, Sam?" Jade asked as she felt tears starting to form in her eyes. She held her friend close against herself.

"Jade, whatever you do, don't let go of him. Storm's been through some really hard times in the past, but when I look at you two together, it's like he's a different person, like nothing from his past matters to him anymore. It's taken him a long time to find someone who loves him, and I was taken back when he told me that you two had become mates, but it's love from a wonderful woman. Even if she is a digimon, it's still love. So whatever you do, promise me you'll never leave his side," Sam said, still crying as she placed her head next to Jade's.

"I promise, Sam, I'll watch over him," Jade whispered into Sam's ear as she placed a kiss on her cheek and they broke from their hug, both with watery eyes.

"Storm, what can I say? It's been fun," Blaze said as he put his arm around Storm's neck and he pulled him in for a hug.

"Blaze, I can't thank you enough for showing me how to use my attacks and just being a good friend. Oh, and one more thing: keep Sam safe, Blaze, just promise me that," Storm told his yellow friend.

"I would sacrifice my own life to save Sam's. Storm, I love her with all of my heart and never want to let her go," Blaze told him happily as the broke from their hug.

"Well, I think it's time for us to go, Blaze," Sam said in a sad tone as she walked next to her furry mate and pressed a button on her digivice.

"This is Sam Rose. Two to teleport back," Sam said into her digivice. A voice responded, "Roger. Sixty seconds on my mark, Ms. Rose," the voice said, then spoke again.

"MARK," the voice rang out of the digivice.

"Well, this looks like goodbye, you two," Sam told her friends with tears running down her cheeks as Jade spoke up.

"No, Sam, it's not goodbye. It's more like, 'see you later'." Jade sobbed as she spoke.

"Oh, one more thing you two: congratulation again on becoming lifemates," Sam called out as a white light started to engulf the human and digimon from their feet upwards until they were totally surrounded by it. It shot into the air in a blink of an eye, then as fast as it had started, it was gone. Jade turned to face Storm and pressed her head into his chest, tears streaming down her face onto his chest and matting his fur.

"Will we ever see Sam and Blaze again?" Jade sobbed into her mate's chest.

"I don't know, my love, I just don't know, but I hope we'll see them again", Storm told his crying mate reassuringly as he took her head in his paw and placed his lips on hers in a loving kiss.

One month later

Four weeks had passed since Sam and Blaze left to go back to the real world. Jade and Storm spent every moment of the day together, not letting the other out of their sight for very long. As they lay in bed in a loving embrace both sleeping peacefully as Storm's tail started to twitch.

Storm started to stir in the middle of the night. As he started to wake slowly, he couldn't feel Jade's warm body next to his. He thought that she must have gone to relieve herself in the bathroom. He waited for her to return to him, waited and waited for fifteen minutes, getting worried that something has happened to her. He decides to go and find Jade. As he walked past the window on the way to the bathroom, he looked out to see the town in ruin after a big attack, buildings burning, rubble and debris on the ground.

"JADE!" Storm shouted to himself as he ran down the stairs towards the main door, only to find it was stuck. Storm took a few steps backwards, readying himself.

"Demon Storm," Storm bellowed as he summons a cloud of blood red, razor-sharp shards, which he fired at the door. It exploded into hundreds of bits. Storm ran through the smoke into the square, the smell of burning wood filling the air as he looked all around. He could see the lifeless bodies of some of the town's population on the ground, piles of rubble and burning wood scattered all over the ground. As Storm ran around the town, he heard movement coming from behind him and a voice that called to him, sounding like an angel.

"Storm? Storm, are you there?" the voice call out from under a pile of rubble. He ran to find the source of the voice he knew so well.

"Jade! I'm coming to get you out from under there, Jade," Storm shouted as he started to dig and claw at the rubble, throwing bits of rubble off his trapped mate.

When he got the last of the rubble off Jade, her fur was covered in dust and blood coming from cuts on her body. He saw her left arm was broken as more of her blood poured from the break, the moonlight reflected on the blood-soaked fur on her arm.

"I'm sorry, my love. I couldn't save them. I tried, Storm, I really tried my best to save them, but I was too late," Jade whined in pain as she spoke, looking into Storm's eyes as he gently lifted her in his arms. She yelped in pain as he felt her pulse. It started to slow from the loss of blood as she started to close her eyes and her breathing became weaker.

"Sssshhhh, Jade, it's ok. Just stay awake for me, please, Jade, please stay with me," Storm begged his mate softly, nuzzling her neck as he held her in his arms; her breathing was barely noticeable anymore as she closed her eyes.

"Jade, please don't leave me alone, not like this. I love you, Jade," Storm sobbed as he put his forehead to hers, tears running down his cheeks onto Jade's.

"I'm so tired, my love, I just want to sleep," Jade mumbled quietly as she stopped moving in his arms. He rushed to check for her pulse, but there was none. Fear gripped him as he realized that she was gone, tears streaming down his face.

"NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Storm howled into the night sky at the full moon. He fell to his knees holding onto Jade's lifeless body, her blood slowly dripping to the ground.

"Jade! Jade, please come back to me, please," he howled with rage to her lifeless body, tears pouring out of his eyes before he placed her body on the ground gently and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Good bye, my love. Sleep in peace, my sweet Jade," he whispered to her as he got up of the ground, tears still rolling down his cheeks. He looked towards the full moon as two blood red eyes eased open on the moon, staring right at him as a voice boomed from nowhere.

"A great evil is coming to destroy this world. Light follows the darkness, love follows hate, till the end of time," the voice told Storm.

"Who are you and what is this great evil you speak of?" Storm shouted at the full moon as it turned blood red. The voice started to laugh, Storm's fur glowing with a red glow from the moonlight as he felt fear run through out his entire being. He felt a weight lying on him as he closed his eyes, letting himself fall backwards in slow-motion, landing next to Jade's cold body on the ground.

As Storm opened his eyes, he found himself sitting up in his bed, panting heavily, a cold sweat running from his brow. As he looked to his left, he saw Jade's sleeping form lying in the bed next to him. As he listened to her breathing lightly as she slept, Storm lowered himself back into the bed. He gently took Jade's body in his arms and pulled her as close to him as he could, feeling the warmth of her fur against his. Sighing contently, he started to fall into a light sleep, wrapping his arms around her and placing a kiss on her lips before resting his head next to Jade's, smiling happily.

As the next morning came, Jade was already awake when Storm started to stir from his slumber. She was lying in the bed just staring at her mate with loving eyes as he woke up. She placed a kiss on his lips, followed by a lick on his cheek.

"Morning, my love, are you alright?" Jade whispered in a concerned tone as she buried her muzzle in his chest fur and played with his fur.

"I'm fine, my sweet Jade, but why did you ask?" Storm asked, sounding confused as he answered her. He ran one of his paws down her spine to the base of her tail, making her squeal in delight from his gentle touch.

"Well, it's just..." Jade paused for a few seconds, then opened her mouth to speak again.

"It's just that I heard you scream in the middle of the night, and I was afraid that something had hurt you while you were sleeping," Jade told him softly as she looked into his bright red eyes from where she rested her head upon him.

"It was just a very bad dream, that's all, Jade," Storm told her reassuringly, getting lost in his thoughts as he stared into her loving bright green eyes. She started to crawl over him so they were nose to nose. He felt her sweet breath gently blow over his muzzle as she leaned in to kiss him. Jade suddenly bolted herself upright.

"I think ...... I need to....... Uh oh," Jade said aloud as she stumbled off Storm's body, falling from the bed to the floor with a small thud onto the bedroom floor. She got up, rushing to the bedroom door and pulling it open as fast as she could before running out of their room towards the bathroom. Storm heard the door slam shut down the hallway.

Storm looked totally lost at what had just happened. One moment, he and Jade had been about to enjoy their first kiss of the morning, then next thing he knew she had run out of the room. Storm got out of the bed, stretching his black fur-covered arms wondering if he should go to check on his mate. As he walked towards the bathroom, he could hear Jade being sick as he got closer and closer to the door. He gently knocked at the door.

"Are you ok, Jade?" he asked from the other side of the door. He sounded worried about his mate, hearing her being sick again, wondering to himself what was making her throw up like that as he heard water running in the sink. After a few moments the door lock clicked as Jade opened the door. Looking at her damp face fur, he smiled as he remembered the first kiss they had shared together, when Jade had had a ring of sauce around her lips. She walked over to him, her legs wobbling a bit as she fell into his arms. He gently lifted her up as she placed her arms around his neck.

"You sure you're alright, Jade? You look a bit pale," Storm asked his yellow lover in his arms.

"Yeah. I've just been feeling a bit sick this morning, that's all. it must have been something I've eaten last night" Jade told him looking into his eyes as she sticks out her tongue at him as she closes her eyes making both of them laugh as they were just about to have their first kiss of the morning as Jade lurched out of his arms heading back to the bathroom again.

"Uurgh...not again", Jade groaned just before she rammed her paw over her mouth as she ran into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. Storm could hear her throwing up. He started to get worried about his mate being sick like this as heard Taomon heading towards him. He just stood out side the bathroom listening in on Jade, making sure she was alright.

"Morning, Storm. What are you waiting for?" Taomon asked Storm, making him jump a little as she spoke again.

"I'm sorry, Storm. I never meant to make you jump like that," she said apologetically to the black Renamon, who had a paw on his chest trying to get his breath back as he started to giggle, making Taomon smile.

"Don't worry about it, Tao, and good morning to you, too," Storm replied happily to the robed digimon as he bowed his head with a slight smile on his muzzle, but she could sense that something was not all that it seemed. She walked over to him, placing her paw on his shoulder as she looked into his eyes.

"Storm, I can see that something is bothering you. Would you like to share anything with me?" Taomon asked, sounding concerned about her daughter's mate.

"It's just that I'm a little worried about Jade. She's been sick two, maybe three times so far this morning. She's told me it was something that she ate last night, but we had the same food. Although, I did have a nightmare last night, so it might just be nothing," he explained to Taomon. He sounded downhearted as he spoke. They could still hear poor Jade being sick from inside the bathroom.

"My advice is not to worry, Storm. My daughter has always been a fighter, even when she's ill, so what she told you is most likely the truth, that the food you two had last night made her feel ill." Taomon started to speak softly, but was interrupted as they heard the door unlock. For the third time that morning, Jade slowly emerged from the bathroom, the fur on the underside of her muzzle slightly matted together where she had washed her face after being sick. She walked over to Storm and he picked her up in his arms once again, holding her as close to him as he could.

"Are you feeling alright, my child?" Taomon asked Jade sweetly as she rubbed her paw over her cheek and forehead to feel if she had a temperature. Once Taomon removed her paw she gave Storm small nod as he starts nuzzle Jades neck as Jade started to speak.

"I feel a lot better now, Mom. I just don't know what caused me to be sick like, that but I think what happened is that the food last night didn't agree with me and that's why I've been sick today", Jade said to them sleepily as she wiggled her body in Storm's arms, trying to get comfortable as Storm leaned his head towards Jade's ear.

"You want to go back to bed, Jade?" he whispered in her ear. All he got back was a light moan of approval from his resting mate. He placed a light kiss on her nose and looked up at Taomon smiling happily, knowing that Jade was going to be fine after a bit of sleep. As he started to take a step forward, he spoke to Taomon.

"Tao, I'll see you later. I'm going to put sleeping beauty here back to bed and watch over her till she wakes," he said lovingly to Taomon about his mate as he smiled at her and nodded his head. He walked past Taomon with Jade sleeping in his arms as he headed to their bedroom. As he entered he moved slowly over to the bed and lowered the sleeping form of Jade gently into the bed, covering her up with the covers, smiling to himself.

"How lucky I am to have Jade as my mate," he thinks to himself. He walked round to other side of the bed and gently sat down beside her. He started stroking her silky fur on her face gently while watching her sleep soundly, just enjoying the sound of her breathing. After a few hours, Jade started to stir from her slumber, making mumbling sounds. As she slowly opened her eyes, all she could see was two red orbs staring right back at her. "How long have I been sleeping for, Storm?" Jade asked, still half-asleep as she yawned. Storm quickly forced his tongue into her open mouth as Jade turned her yawn into a deep kiss. "For a few hours, my sexy one," Storm panted, looking at her just lying in the bed looking back at him as there came a knock at the door.

"Come in," Storm said as the door opened as Taomon walked in to check on her daughter and Storm. Both of the Renamon looked up to Taomon with smiles on muzzles. Tao could see Jade lying under the covers while Storm was lounging on top. She walked over to the bed and sat at the end, facing both of them.

"How are you feeling now, my sweet child?" Taomon asks in her mothering way as she looked at Jade with a smile on her face. She could see that Jade looked brighter than earlier, when she was being held in Storm's arms.

"I feel much better now, Mom, and I had my dark angel watching over me as I slept." Jade spoke softly, still trying to fully wake up as she starched her arms upwards, moving herself so she was leaning against the pillows, now sitting up with a smile on her muzzle.

"Well, that's good to hear. If you feel up to it, I was hoping that you and Storm would join me for some tea later on," Taomon said happily as Storm and Jade looked at each other and nodded in agreement at the suggestion as they both looked at Taomon and smiled.

"We'd love to join you for tea, Tao," Storm barked happily as he took hold of Jade's paw and placed a kiss on it, then let it go. Storm got off the bed, walked over to the window, and opened it slightly, letting the warm summer air blow in, then headed over to the side of the bed Jade was lying on.

"Ok. I'll let you two get ready, and I'll see you downstairs a little later on." Taomon smiled as she spoke, getting off the bed as she placed a kiss on Jade's forehead before turning to Storm and doing the same to him. She walked towards the door and walked out silently as she closed the door behind her. Storm went to Jade's side and reached for her paws, helping her out of their bed and pulling her as close to him as he could, taking a deep breath in and getting hit by her sweet scent. He noticed that her scent was a little sweeter then he remembered, making him growl lustfully.

"Easy, Renamon," Jade teased her loving mate as she played with his chest fur and giggled, both standing in the middle of the room holding each other.

"First we'll have tea with Mother, then later on we can play whatever game you want," Jade told him seductively as she ran her paw down his back giving his tight, firm butt cheeks a squeeze with her paws, causing him to yelp in surprise.

"You mean, we can play?" Storm paused. His voice rang with excitement, his eyes ablaze with lust.

"Chess," Storm said, trying his best to stay calm as Jade looked at him completely lost and confused at what he had just said.

"WHAT! What are you talking about, Storm? Chess...that's not the type of game I had in mind." Jade sounded a bit downhearted and very confused at the suggestion her mate had just made to her.

The smell of fresh bread cooking drifted in from the kitchen as the sound of cracking wood from the fire mixed with the smell of tea boiling filled the room as they saw four bowls placed neatly around the fireplace. Taomon simply smiled at them as she beckoned them to sit down next to her.

"How are you feeling, my child?" Taomon asked her daughter sweetly. A note of concern ran in her voice that only Storm seemed to detect. Jade still held Storm's arm as she started to answer.

"I feel fine now. Thank you for asking, Mom. I had my guardian devil watching over me as I slept this morning, although I think I got the better part of the deal." Jade yapped happily as she turned to face Storm as pressed their lips together. As they broke from their kiss, Storm stared into Jade's big green eyes and smiled just before he spoke.

"What do you mean you got the better part of the deal?" "Are you alright, Storm?" Taomon asked the black Renamon, who was rubbing his chest where Jade had just pinched with his paw.

"Yes, Tao, I'm fine. I just got some fur caught in my glove and it got me by surprise, that's all," Storm explained to Taomon as he looked Jade in the eye.

"Hey, what was that for?" he whispered into Jade's ear as he ran his paw through her back fur.

Taomon poured more of the hot liquid into his bowl before she sat down on her cushion and poured some of the tea into her own bowl, turning her head to look at Jade and Storm with a huge smile on her face.

"Thank you, Lady Taomon," she said gratefully as Taomon nodded her head once as she started to show their guest in.

Up in the bathroom, Jade and Storm started to fade in again from their teleportation trip, still locked together sitting on the floor in each other's loving embrace.
