The War ch11
#11 of The War
Well its nice to see you all again, i realize it has been a long while since i last posted something. Sorry XD I got the block! But here is what i was able to make over the time, it may not be as good as the other but your gonna deal with it because i have better stuff for you later.
Major Dunham looked at the dragon in front of him, it was covered in gold scales and had a brand mark burned into his arm. "Sevek....this has to be the dumbest things you have ever done. We have tried to be lenient with you, but enough is enough."
Sevek gaped at the Major, "What? I didn't do anything! He started it!" he babbled in a futile attempt to get away with it.
The Major looked at him coldly, "Ohhh reaaaally? We have video recording and witnesses of what you did. And I must say three people are very angry at you. Fighting with a seasoned USCM veteran that could have killed you without a second thought, you're lucky he didn't. Attacking a new recruit because of your hate toward humans....just because your dad was human, that's not a good reason. Mad because he died before you were born?"
Sevek grumbled angrily, "I hate him! He left mom to go fighting out there," he started to break down now.
"Still you shouldn't be mad at him, your dad died so you could live!" Dunham shouted, "You are damn lucky! Your one of lucky that survived that blasted war, thousands of our brothers and sisters died, and many more of your kind died before we intervened."
Sevek hissed at the Major who punched him on the side of his face, "We would have been better off without your kind..."
"Better off? Better off, you all would have died if not for us coming to help, or you would be few in numbers! You wouldn't even been born right now, your mother wouldn't be alive either! So don't come to me saying you were better off, I was out on the battle ground, I was in the trenches. I was in the fox holes and mud fighting to keep your worthless ass alive, I was there when I saw your father die! In his last words he said 'Tell my wife that my last thoughts were of her and our kid, tell them that I love them with all my heart'! You're mad because he isn't around! You piece of worthless shit!" The Major screamed in anger. "You aren't going to the brig, you are now enlisted in the USCM, now...." He got close to the dragon was starting to cry, and said in a deathly low voice before it scaled up into a yell of rage, "Get the fuck out of my office before I skin you alive, gouge out your eyes and SKULL FUCK YOU!!!"
Sevek bolted out of the office, crying. Major Dunham was furious, never in his life had he been so mad at that dragon, the dragon had got what he deserved. He still remembered the last time he had been brought in. He had tried to take advantage of the dragoness that was now mated to the USCM veteran that had kicked him good. He was glad she hadn't said anything about it to him or else it would have been far worse than a beating and a small branding...

Ignitus woke up from the small nap he had taken to see the three dragons enter, but two of the dragons were acting different. Huh, so it finally happened, he thought. I am going to have to talk to both of them soon...
"So young ones how was your mission?"
Spyro looked up at Ignitus, "Fine, we didn't find anything bad like last time." The elder guardian nodded and let them go their separate ways, Caelia went back outside to soak up some sun, while Spyro and Cynder went somewhere outside. Somewhere quieter where they could get more affectionate. He rolled his eyes in amusement; he looked around to make sure no one was around before pulling a large video player out from under him. He had taken the player from Marcus's room; curiosity had gotten the better of him. He pressed a small button on the side to restart the movie...
Caelia plopped down on the ground and curled up, wanting to take a small nap. Just as she closed her eyes a chirping sound came from her Comlink, she picked it up and pressed it, "Hello?" she asked in a slightly annoyed tone, thinking it was Spyro or Cynder.
"Guess who?" the familiar voice came; she just about dropped the device in shock.
Caelia grinned, "Uh...Rambo?"
"No....it'z a me Mario!" the chuckling Marcus replied, "Hey kiddo, why don't you look up into the sky, I have a surprise for you..." Caelia quickly looked up into the sky to look for Marcus, but she didn't see him.
"Where are you?"
"Oh, I forgot to tell you where to look, look behind you."
Caelia looked up and behind her to see two people in the air one of was human but....had wings. It took her a second to realize it was Marcus, she watched as he dived towards her. Twenty feet front the ground he opened his wings and did a front as he landed.
"And...he sticks the landing," Marcus chuckled, as he saw the look on Caelia's face. He then held out his arms, "Where the hug you always give men when I return after being away so long?" she grinned at him and pounced on him, at the last second he realized she didn't hug, she tackled him to the ground and then gave hugs. "Ohff!" the wind was knocked out of him as he hit the ground, Caelia hugging him tight. Jerin landed next to the two laughing at what had happened. It felt like he was being crushed!
Marcus tried to move but was pinned to the ground; he waited until Caelia move to get up. Getting up he grabbed Caelia and gave her a hug in return.
Caelia looked Marcus over, "You looked a lot different with wings on your back and with changed eyes."
"I know," he said with a small smile, "I still am shocked at how I have changed, let alone what I am. But to tell you the truth it doesn't bother me that I'm changed. Nor do I care that I have powers."
"You have powers?" Caelia asked with a confused and startled look. He held out his, currents of electricity arced around his hand for two seconds before it disappeared.
"Wow, now that's cool, now you can fry people instead of using guns all the time.
Marcus smirked, "Who said I was going to stop using guns, I am gonna use these powers for only when I need them....or when I wanna have a little...fun."
Jerin snickered at the last part, "Yea...just don't go shocking people too much."
"No promises on that." He smiled, grabbed his canteen, taking a long drink out of it. Once he finish Jerin took it from him and drained it again! She finished with a loud burp; she did nothing to hide it.
"Sorry," she said with a smirk, "Didn't expect it to be that big." Marcus kissed her softly; Caelia felt jealous but knew she was still too young to have a mate. But it wouldn't hurt to find a suitable on for later...

Conway stepped off the lift as it reached its stop; he was in the lower levels. He was asked to see if he could fix some minor electronic malfunctions that were starting to become a bother. He looked around, no one was here, he was told he would be working with someone. He looked around a second time, he still saw no one, looking straight he saw an open door that lead to a large control room. Which was where one of the reported problems was, sighing softly he walked into the roo-
"HEY, look out!" a female voice yelled, Conway looked up and did a duck and roll as he missed a falling hydrospanner. Conway looked around for the owner of the voice; he looked up to see a small scaffolding set up. On top of it was a blue dragoness, she was around his height. Had four white horns that protruded from the back of her head. She had brilliant yellow eyes. A tool belt was strapped to her side. She had a pair of welder's goggles on her forehead. A soldering gun in her hands, still hot.
"Sorry about that," the dragoness said and she jumped down off the scaffolding. "You must be the one who is here to help me right?" Conway was stunned at her beauty but quickly snapped out of his trance.
"Uh...huh, oh yea, they sent me down here to help. Said something about malfunctions."
"Yes, and before we get to work my name is Jan, is nice to me you...uh?
"Conway, call me Conway, it is a pleasure to meet you Jan." he said with a smile as he shook her hand. He was amazed at the way her scales felt. Soft yet hard. Jan let his hand go with a smile on her face; she could see what she liked about him easily.
"Com'on we need to get to work before the Richard comes down here and starts to yell his ass off." Jan said with a small grumble.
"Richard?" Conway queried.
Jan frowned, "The boss of us techies and stuff, I don't get why he is in such a bad today." They wasted no time getting to work.
"Holy crap!" Jan yelled, "they have the wiring all screwed up! Half the wires aren't connected!"
"Your tellen me!" Conway hollered from under her, "This door is almost fired, it's all wired in the wrong areas, it's been redneck rigged by a retard!" Conway cut a wire that didn't look to be in the right place.
Wossh-CLANG!
The door slammed shut, Conway dropped his wire cutters and tried to pry the door open. "SHIT!" he cursed.
"What happened?" Jan said in a worried tone.
"I cut a wire and the door shut, I can't get it open because I don't know which one it went too! To many same color wires!" he yelled, Jan hissed in anger, DAMN! Curse the people who did this poor job!
She jumped off the scaffolding and tried to pry the door open with him. They strained to open the door, it opened only a crack. They tired until they could no longer pull.
"Fuck this we need to radio them for help" Conway said as he walked over to the console.
"Good luck, that thing has run since the war, be a miracle if it even starts up!" Jan sighed, stretching her wings. She watched in amazement as with a few taps on an order of keys it fired up.
"It can only access the baser functions and system controls of this thing, this thing has a high level security system in place," he said as he started to quickly hit keys, but suddenly the console fizzed out.
Fizz...phewww.....
"What? No...no dam it" Conway groaned, "I knew it was too good to be true fifty year old piece of shit."
"So what do we do now?" The dragoness asked; knowing that they didn't have very many options. She turned to see him ripping off a panel to reveal the circuit board. "What are you doing?"
"I can try an old trick Marcus taught me....Morse code," Conway said as he pulled out his hacking device, "If this doesn't work I will try to run a bypass on the door, but chances of getting it to work is a million to one percent." Conway grabbed the wire and lightly tapped on the circuit board, sparks flew as the wire made contact with the live board. It took several minutes before he was done, Jan was already taking a small snooze, she jumped when he bumped into the fallen hydrospanner that had rolled round.
"God, don't scare me like that," Jan sighed, picking herself up she stretched her relaxed muscles.
"Sorry," he chuckled, "didn't know you were asleep."
"So, she said, "How long do you think it will be until they get here?"
Conway grabbed a metal flask out of his jacket. "I don't know," he said as he took a drink out of it, "hopefully soon."
