"The New Dawn has very powerful sorcerers, they probably have located the gem already, but don't worry, if they find Gabriel on time, he will help them"

Their bracelets beeped and the monster status appeared. It was called Elazan, level 30, a forest demon.

"I'll handle him" said Alex stepping forwards "I want to see the results of the exp. Points I earned in the last battle"

The bear shoved his spear on the ground and walked towards the monster. The Elazan jumped and started his attack. Alex moved quickly and kicked him on the chest, the monster attacked again and Alex barely had time to dodge it. The claws of the Elazan leaved huge markings on a tree that was behind Alex. The grizzly gave a couple of swift punches that didn't seem to damage the monster. Alex gathered all his strength and tried to hit the demon one more time. The blow sent the monster against a tree, the Elazan opened its mouth and threw a big fire ball towards Alex, the bear cached the fire ball with his bare hands, then he screamed and absorbed all the energy. Leomon and Crocodyne were surprised. Alex immediately lurched towards the Elazan and summoned a spell without even thinking about it. An enormous quantity of electricity gathered on his hands and he fired it against the Elazan, making its body explode. Crocodyne and Leomon ran towards Alex.

"How did you do that?" asked the crocodile.

"I don't know" said Alex falling on his knees "But I'm having trouble to breathe, and I'm feeling like I'm burning inside"

Leomon placed his claw on Alex's shoulder and removed it immediately.

They both emptied all the water they were carrying over Alex.

"I hope this works" said Leomon and focused.

"That must be Gadar" said Kimahri pointing towards a huge city a few miles away. An impressive set of mountains rose behind the city, the summit was hidden by the clouds.

"That tower won't be easy to find" said Daniel and they started walking.

"By the way" said the bear "Could you stop doing whatever you guys are doing? I'm freezing"

The three of them realized they were shaking, the water temperature was too low.

"We should look for a spot to dry our clothes" suggested Crocodyne.

Alex took a sniff of the water and drank some of it.

"Smells a little like sulphur and it has some minerals" said the bear there must be a thermal spring nearby"

"Wait here" said Leomon "I'll take a look"

The lion disappeared running along the shore.

"Thermal spring?" asked Crocodyne.

"Yeah, we have walked a long way, I think we deserve some rest... and some fun"

Leomon returned after a few minutes.

"You were right, there are some caves on the other side of the lake and there are thermal springs there"

"Let's go then" aid Alex "We can leave our clothes in the entrance and get some rest while they dry"

They started walking along the lake.

Dante, Kimahri and Daniel were in the shoping district of Gadar, an old bear had told them where to find Javo, they entered a huge store, it was a two story building and there were all kinds of items for sale, from food supplements to rare weapons. The three friends were walking over the polished marble floor watching the shelves, they found a slender lion cleaning a lot of swords.

"Excuse me" asked Daniel "We are looking for Javo "Do you know where we can find him?"

"Right now he is leading an auction" said the lion "The auction room is on the second floor, after the stairs, it's the third door to your left"

"Thank you" said Dante and they took the stairs.

They entered the auction room and recognized Javo immediately. The huge fur was standing in the far end of the room holding a collection of daggers with golden blades.

"This fine collection comes with its own mahogany case, they have the ability to store spells on them, they are ideal to be added to any collection of weapons or to be used in battle, the bids will start with 20000 gils"

"We are allies with the order of the Four Circles" said the cougar "We are trying to help them against the New Dawn"

Javo took the medallion and watched it for a long time, then he returned it to Daniel.

"well, I see they trust you enough to give you the crest of their symbol. I can lead you to the tower, but I don't know if you'll be able to get there"

"What do you mean?" asked Dante

"It's a very dangerous path, I don't know if you're strong enough"

"Javo can put us to test" suggested Kimahri.

"It might be a good idea" said Javo "There are a few caves in the outskirts of this town where you can easily find Quiros, those are the weakest monsters you'll find on your way to the tower of the circle of wind. Come with me"

Javo left the auction room and the others followed

"You don't talk much, but you're also very wise, soon you'll have to take a choice that could affect this world's destiny"

"You are very strong, much more than what you seem to be, but you hesitate too much, you shall show your true power in a moment of need. Now... What exactly did Javo told you?"

He only said that you could help us to awaken a power that exists inside us" said Daniel.

"He didn't mentioned anything about the way to do that?"

"What?" asked Javo "I knew they were going to accept, you're not the only one with perception"

"What are you talking about?" asked Dante.

"There are two ways to awaken this power Javo mentioned" said the minotaur "one of them is a training that lastas approximately 20 years, and the other requires you to absorb part of my essence"
