A New Home

Everything was way too complicated. Why couldn't life be easy? Why couldn't you just go through life sitting around and reading, or entertaining yourself with games or computers? That's what everybody wished, and everybody knew that it would never be that simple. A slim Anthrosaur Dragon named Riko walked the dark streets of the city Anzora, his clawed feet making a soft click with each step he took. He loved to write, he wrote many books and many poems inside his folders and self made booklets. Oh how he loved the feel of fresh words on paper or on a screen, it gave him joy and excitement. He loved seeing the looks of people's faces when they read his work and just had to have more. He was quite accomplished, he wished to become a famous author one day, but obviously his parents disagreed strongly with his life decisions. On his back was a small backpack, containing his belongings, his laptop, which was laid carefully inside, a pair of clothes, his toiletries, and his booklets. Though he preferred to keep his work on his laptop, sometimes he had to write it down on paper, and copy it over to his laptop in his spare time.

Turning and continuing to walk down the road, Riko hoped to get out of the town, but he stopped, frozen in fear as he heard a deep, masculine voice.

"Hey kid, where you heading off too?"

The young Dragon turned around with wide eyes, his lips dry as he stared at the large muscled reptile. He pointed to himself questioningly and the Dragon nodded and a smirk.

"N-nowhere, just trying to uh...find a place to stay...."

The large Dragon blinked at his words, cocking his head to the side and beckoned him over.

"You're welcome for the snack. Now, about your living problem, I'm willing to let you stay here, but on one condition."

Riko blinked and stared at the large Dragon, wanting to know more, happy that somebody was finally willing to let him stay with them.

"What's the condition?" Riko asked quietly.

The large Dragon smirked and showed his teeth, staring at the smaller Scalie intensely.
