Nall's Love and Ruby's Sorrow

"I wish you could stay here with me but I guess that wouldn't really be fair to Lucia or you. But-but then you're leaving really isn't fair to me either." Ruby started to cry as she gazed at Hiro standing only minutes away from his trip to the Blue Star. Ronfar, Jean, Lemina and Leo all said their goodbyes as well. The moment was knee deep in emotion and tears as Hiro took his step into the Star Dragon Crystal after a final word. A blinding light shot from the crystal and carried him into the sky like a wisp from his friends and everyone else on Lunar.
Ruby cries grew louder when she saw Hiro disappear. The other four friends were left uneasy about the passing until Jean stepped forward. "Ruby..." She stalled so the dragon could stop crying enough to talk. She continued when she had her attention. "We all will miss Hiro for what he did for us. I understand how you feel-"
"No, you don't. You have no idea!" Ruby was too heartbroken over her loss, so she flew out of the room as quickly as her pink wings would carry her.
Ronfar dropped his lucky dice when he saw the dragon tears hit the ground. Jean wanted to go after Ruby, but Leo stopped her. "Leave her be. She has fears and nightmares she must conquer on her own." The room became silent and chilling when Ruby's crying couldn't be heard.
Ruby flew as fast as she could, trying to escape her feelings of loneliness and regret but she knew her attempts at waking up from this nightmare were futile. Her wings suddenly gave in from fatigue as Ruby's small pink body collapsed onto the cold spire floor below her. She didn't know what to feel other than sadness. She wouldn't forgive Hiro for what he did since she knew they would never meet again. "W-what made him betray me? WHY did he do something so STUPID!?" Her yells echoed off the blue pillars of the Spire until the only sound that was left was small whimpers and cries of shame.
"Ruby, don't cry. Get back on your feet." She stopped sniffling for a moment to look up. A human with a tapered sword attached to his back kneeled down to Ruby and put his hand over her wings.
"N-Nall?" She sniffed. She stood up and flew into Nall's arms. "I'm so worried about Hiro!"
The dragon boy embraced her tightly, holding Ruby's head into his shoulder as she continued to weep. "It's ok Ruby." They both remained in this position for several minutes until the pink dragon ran out of tears to cry.
"Why are you here Nall? Don't the Dragon Kids need you?" She backed away from his body and sat on the ground.
"You said you would come back to Taben's Peak with me. I hope you'll keep your word."
She hesitated to answer, but nodded her head with a forced smile. Nall only glanced at Ruby before grabbing her small pink paw.
"Wha-" but before Ruby could finish, the white dragon began glowing and teleported both of them away from the Spire.
The two both arrived within seconds at Taben's Peak. Ruby looked around slightly confused. She recognized all of her surroundings from her journey with Hiro and the others.
"Ruby..." The dragon boy started as he looked her in the face. "I know you're sad from losing Hiro, but that is why I've taken you here to Taben's Peak. You can uhh...live with me here." He started to blush when he observed Ruby's pink body, her wings flapping to sustain flight.
She returned his gaze and blushed back. "I...appreciate your concern."
"Think of it as payment for harassing you when we met." Nall joked. He looked at Ruby again with a more serious face. "Oh, I'd like to speak to you later today if that's alright."
"Sure Nall." She replied. They both parted; Nall went to his chambers on the top floor as Ruby made her way to the playground to see the Dragon Kids.
Later that night, Nall searched for Ruby in human form until he found her lying down in the grass of Taben's Peak's playground gazing at the Blue Star. He put the Dragon Kids to bed earlier that day so they wouldn't be disturbed. When he stealthily crept towards her, he heard soft whimpers coming from Ruby. The gentle crying made him stop in place, almost afraid to confront her. He pushed himself forward until he greeted her by saying in a soft voice, "Hey."
Ruby was startled by Nall's sudden appearance but she continued to let her tears flow onto the cold grass below her. He watched her in human form until he got the courage to ask her to stop crying. "You can't weep forever you know."
The pink dragon wiped her tears away and tried her best to talk. "I g-guess you're right Nall. I can't forget him, but at least he is safe with Lucia." She smiled as she looked up at the Blue Star. "It's beautiful isn't it?"
"Yeah, I get to see it like this every night." He quickly transformed into dragon form and sat next to Ruby putting his white wing around her. His action made Ruby uneasy but she began to enjoy it after awhile. She soon found her head on the ground in front of Nall with her eyes closed, completely relaxed.
Nall looked down on Ruby as he stroked her head with a paw. "You look so cute."
She only looked up at him and gave a heart-warming smile. "Stop it...You're embarrassing me." She started blushing as the compliment replayed in her mind. When Nall's eyes were visible again, Ruby suddenly felt loved again.
'No, I couldn't be in love with Nall.' Her sudden affection grew by the second as the white dragon comforted and played with her. The thought raged in her mind, debating back and forth the pros and cons of love. She finally made her decision that her love with Hiro wasn't meant to be, as Nall had said. Ruby wanted to be with Nall, she wanted to grow old with him by her side.
"Oh Nall..."
He looked at her when his name was called only to see Ruby staring back into his eyes. Before he could respond she sat up, lunged forward and kissed him. Nall wanted to push her off but he had always dreamt that this moment would come. Both the white and pink dragons were completely relaxed, enjoying their first kiss before Nall forced himself to break their lips apart.
"Did you plan that?" Nall joked as he opened his eyes. Ruby blushed and shook her head in disagreement.
"It just...happened. Im sorry Nall if-"
Nall cut her off quickly. "No, I...liked it." he grinned before leaning over and giving Ruby a lick on the neck making her giggle. "That tickles!"
Ruby put her paw to the place he licked, touching cold saliva as Nall put his paw into hers, saying "I bet you liked that." He pulled her closer to his body snuggling her against his fur.
"Maybe..." Ruby said, encouraging him to continue his actions. She liked all of the attention. Hiro never gave her this type of affection on their adventures. All of the sadness for Hiro was lifted from her heart since she now loved Nall. She started to think about what her future with him would be like. She pictured them together spending each day and night caring for one another. She saw Nall trying to take care of the Dragon Kids with her laughing in the background. Ruby's life was full of happiness now that she was with someone that could really live with her forever.
Nall felt a slight pain in his bladder. He thought 'What a bad time to have to go.' Ruby started to cuddle him, stroking Nall's back with her long tail causing the sensation in his body to dissolve slowly. He started to pull away from Ruby.
"You aren't backing out now are we?" She was concerned, and noticed Nall was trying to hide something from her.
"It's nothing..."
"Come on Nall, it can't be tha-" Ruby stopped as she saw Nall's penis was poking out of his sheath. She looked away and blushed. "You pervert..."
They were both heavily embarrassed until the white dragon stepped forward. He sort of mumbled since he really didn't want to say it to her.
Ruby started to smile a little. "What was that?" She was curious on what he said.
"I...am attracted to you." He said it clearly this time.

Taking a last glance at Ruby, Nall leaned over and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Good night..." he whispered before closing his eyes and falling asleep.
