Jake held Dark in his arms sobbing. "Hey what is all the ruckus!" It was Dark's asshole dad. "SHIT! Looks like the fag finally did it! Well looks like I gotta call 911." He laughed as he went for the phone.

The dream he was in placed Jake in a huge meadow, there were forests all around and a hill, on top of hill was Dark. "Jake." Dark said while extending his hands and welcoming the wolf. "Dark!" Jake ran up the hill towards the one he loved. "Jake you mustn't kill my dad." "Why not! He killed you!" "No, I killed myself and I am waiting for my trial."

"Trial?" "You see, when a person kills themselves because of love, they are tried, if he can prove that his love was real, he is revived." "You mean?" Jake said in shock, "Yes, I can be with you my love." Dark said as a tear came down his face, from both happiness and sadness. "Don't cry, everything will be alright." Jake said while holding Dark in his arms "If I lose, I'll never see you again." Dark said. "I must go time is short, I'll see you again." With that Dark floated in mid air and disappeared.

"DARK!" Jake screamed as he got up from his bed, "was it all a dream?" He thought. Then Jake saw a tear drop on the floor. "No it wasn't!" Jake jumped out of his bed and ran out of his house. "I recognized that hill in my dreams, it was where Dark was buried!" he thought as he ran.

He ran 2 miles non stop, his body couldn't keep going but his mind kept going, he ran for love. As day break approached Jake reached the cemetery and he saw someone there. He got to the top of the hill and spotted a woman, it was Dark's mother. "Who are you!?" Jake asked.

"Hello Jake. Nice to see you again." "Hey you're Dark's mom!" "Yes. I wish I had known of it sooner. Jake, how did he die?" She said as tears came from her eyes. "You mean you don't know?" "No, since his father and I separated, I was kept in the dark."

"Well, are you homophobic, do you hate gays?" Jake said with his fists clenched. "No, I received a letter, the last letter Dark sent me and he told me the truth, that he was gay." "I see, so that saves time. We fell in love but kept it a secret from each other." Jake said, tears ran down his eyes, "His dad found out and kicked him out of the house." Jake now sobbed, " I ran upstairs when I read his note saying that he loved me and... he was there, in his room, dead, he slashed his wrists." Jake now fell to his knees and sobbed louder. "Jake...thank you." His mother also cried, "You told me all I needed to know."

Just then there was a white light that hit the mother, she turned into an angel and Jake stood there in utter disbelief. "You have proven you love for Dark, and you shall be rewarded. Dark will come back to life in three days, you just won't know when since all of the memories of his death will be erased, including the hate for gays his father has." the angel flew up and then a bright light covered the sky. Time sped ahead and Jake woke up from his sleep like nothing had happened.

The events of that fateful day when Dark came out and told the truth happened again, with a major exception. "Dark, I need you to know that I'm gay too." Jake said. "Really Jake?" Dark stopped crying, and watched his friend "yes. Dark, I want you to know that there is someone in my life." "Who?" Dark almost cried again knowing that there was someone else that Jake loved. "That is something that I will not share just yet. Anyways, let's get some ice cream." "OK" Dark was really hurting on the inside, he was scared that Jake loved someone else, but at the same time, Dark couldn't help but wonder who.

Two weeks passed and it was Dark's 17th birthday. Dark was asleep when his door opened, Jake crept inside and shouted, "Happy Birthday Dark!" "Whoa!" Dark jumped out of his bed startled and fell to the ground. Laughing Jake took Dark's hand and helped him up. "Get ready for a special day." Jake said. "Ok, why is it so fuckin special that you couldn't wait till I got up?" Dark said with a peeved look on his face.

"That's cheating! I had to find out and tell him!" Jake looked at Dark's dad with an annoyed look at his face. "What's cheating?" asked Dark as he came from downstairs, "oh nothing important." Said his dad, "happy birthday Dark." "Thanks dad. Well shall we be off then?" Dark said while looking at Jake. "Hey that was my line! Oh well let's go!" Jake said.

They got on Jake's car and took off. "Where are we going?" Dark asked. "Patience and here put this on." Jake said giving Dark a blindfold. Dark reluctantly put it on and wondered what it was all about. The car finally stopped and Jake removed Dark's blindfold.

"Wow! The lookout point!" Dark thought, "I wonder why. Wait!" Dark slapped himself mentally, "why didn't I think of it before! But could it be?" Dark's thoughts were interrupted by Jake embracing him. "Dark, I...I love you." Jake said, their eyes met and Dark started to cry, " Oh Jake! I love you too." He hugged Jake and started to cry even more.

" Why are you crying?" Jake asked with a worried look on his face. "When you told me that you loved someone, I thought it wasn't me and I, I almost killed myself!" Jake embraced Dark hard, "Oh Dark, I'm so sorry, I didn't know and I wanted it to be a surprise" Jake started to cry. Dark then looked up at Jake and Jake looked up at Dark, their eyes met and they kissed. After locking lips for a while, they released, catching their breath.

"That's not all love. That was only the beginning." Jake stated the car and left lookout point. "Where to now hon?" asked Dark. "Back to my place." They arrived and Jake lead Dark, who was again blindfolded, out back. Jake removed the blindfold and found himself in the middle of a surprise birthday party.

"SURPRISE!" Shouted all of Dark's and Jake's closest friends and family. "I knew it!" Dark said. After hours of fun and the happy birthday song and presents, there was one more revelation. "Ok everyone now as you all know and yes you were right, me and Dark love each other."

Dark was at a lost of words, he could only gasp and tremble as Jake held the ring in front of Dark.

"Dark, this is but a small token of my love for you. There is no measurement for how much I love you and I want you to always know that." Jake slipped the ring into Dark's finger, inside the ring was engraved "I am yours, now and forever." Dark, crying, threw his arms around Jake and kissed him tenderly. There was an 'aww' from the crowd and then clapping. Dark's dad then said "Ok everyone let's go and leave these two alone." Everyone left and Jake picked Dark up and carried him to his room.

Jake opened the door and got in the house, there was a trail of rose petals leading all the way to Jake's room. Jake, still carrying Dark opened the door and closed it with his foot. Jake's bed was covered with rose petals and Jake slowly eased Dark into his bed.
