Both the anthro horse and Kari noted the shock registered on my face as what he had said to me sank in. I had been out of it for over a month. "Over a month? What happened that I was out of it for a month?" I asked.

Kari leaned over and said, "You were in a coma induced by the doctors to make sure you didn't feel the pain of the poison raging in your body. The poison was a mixture of scorpion, black widow, and black mamba venoms. They ravaged your body and nearly killed you on several occasions."

I stared at her in disbelief and she then said today's date and I was shocked that it was thirty plus days later.

I looked at the anthro horse and Kari said, "his mane is Anderos, he helped me with you for the past month and also moves us into a mew place where no one can get to us without being detected."

Anderos walked over to us and stuck his hand and said, "I'm happy to help anyone who is in Kari's care and will gladly help anyone who she cares for as much as she does you."

He then asked, "Do you remember anything that happened for the last few days."

"I told him I remember once waking up and was strapped to the bed and was in horrific pain and screaming out loud otherwise I don't remember anything."

Anderos said, "that was when we induced the coma so you could sleep in peace."

Kari then said, "You were quite a handful to take care of when your body was suffering the ravages of the poisoning. You even broke free of the straps and almost killed a technician. That was when they decided to put you in a coma.

"I don't remember any of that but I do remember the little twit who shot me, is he still alive?"

Kari replied, "yeah he is but they waiting for you to come out of coma before charging him with attempted murder, otherwise if you died it would have been murder."

"I'm glad that I disappointed them in the murder charge but I would like to see the moron in person if possible."

Anderos then said, "During the penalty phase of the hearing the judge will have you decide if he should lose his life or not. No one is allowed to try to kill another without the option of death here."

I was feeling really tired so I asked them, "please get me back into bed so I can sleep a little more."

Kari and Anderos helped me back to the prone position in the bed and I was asleep in seconds.

When I came to, Kari was napping in the chair next to me and when I awoke she opened her eyes and asked, "everything alright?"

Kari asked then, "How did you manage that, you couldn't even sit up yesterday and now you are sitting all by yourself."

The doors opened and a technician looked in and asked if everything was all right that he had heard yelling and then he saw me sitting. He then said, "It's good to see you sitting upright again." He then left the room to continue his rounds.

A little while later Anderos came in and said, "Well hello and look who's out of bed now."

He then spoke to Kari, "go and grab some food, I'll keep an eye on him for a bit."

When Kari had left I asked Anderos. "How much trouble is she in since she stopped her heat cycle?"

He looked at me and said, "in all honesty I'm not sure but I know for every week that she is past her normal cycle her body gets worse and one day she will either break and die or she will have to be restrained from insanity."

I then told Anderos, "You got to help me get back into shape to get her to let her have her cycle, she's already heading past the first month over,"

He looked down and then said, "I know, I'm the one who helped her stop it."

"Why?" was all I could ask?

"She was almost psychotic after you were shot and she begged me to stop her cycle before she went crazy with it and grieving over you." Anderos said.

Chapter 4

Over the next few days Anderos and I pushed me to my limits trying to get me back to health and after a week of constant therapy and hot tub sitting to relax the pains away the scientists said I was healthy enough to go home and recover the rest of the way.

Kari and Anderos helped me leave the hospital facility and took me to our new place of residence. When we got there I was astounded at the sheer size of the building and I asked them, "How many people live here?"

Kari answered, "Just us lover."

"God this is huge," I replied as I stared at the mansion. As we walked inside of the front gate there was a security alarm that asked for identification. Kari answered the question and then we headed into the house/mansion.

After entering house I asked them "How the hell large is this place,"

This room was large enough to be a ballroom and had four chandeliers that were at least five foot long hanging from the vaulted ceiling.

I turned to Anderos and asked, "Where do you live my friend?"

He said, "My lady and I live across town in a building similar to the one you used to live in.

I looked at Kari and said, "Not anymore Anderos you're moving in here with us. This is just too much house for just Kari and I and I know I can trust you."

Anderos stared at me and then stammered out, "I don't know what to say."

I then said, "Just say yes and start moving in tomorrow."

With that the stallion left me to my own devices. I slowly headed into the mansion and found Kari waiting for me and she asked, "Which room do you want as our bedroom?"

"What about Anderos," I asked Kari.

I got up and went to the bathroom and then headed down to the kitchen and was surprised to see a Mare making the food.

Almost as soon as I saw her, Anderos said, "This is my lady Mariel."

I stepped back after the hug and said, "I didn't ask you to pay me back, it is because this house is a waste of space for just Kari and I and I am sure Anderos is not one of the people who have tried to hurt Kari and I. For that reason and because I consider him a friend I offered him as well as yourself the other half of this house." I then said as an afterthought, "I don't expect you to be our maid and butler either, we are capable of taking care of ourselves."

Anderos looked at me and then asked, "Are you ready to eat and then get started on our training."

I sat at the table as Kari came in and sat next to me and Mariel sat large plates of food on the table and we ate.

When we finished the meal, Anderos asked, "are you ready to train?"

I replied to him, "I'm ready and willing to get started."

Anderos excused us from the room leaving Kari & Muriel together. He headed outside to the backyard where I saw for the first time an Olympic swimming pool and tennis courts as well as a running track and a free weight stand.

He headed over to the weights and said we would start out slow and build up. It was a short while later that I was sweating profusely and had aches in places I never hurt before. Anderos came over to where I was on the bench press chair asking if I was ready and I replied as ready as I ever would be as I took the dumbbell into my hands and started pressing it.

After about thirty reps I was weakening and Anderos saw this and grabbed the weights and sat them back into the rest and said, "that's enough of that for this morning, lets go grab some lunch and get you running this afternoon."

I looked at him and said, "You're going to give me a day to recover from this aren't you?"

Anderos looked at me and said, "I'll give you all the time you want. Just remember you asked me to step up the training so you could get well faster for Kari's sake."

I laughed and said, "I wasn't all that fit before."

Anderos laughed with me as we headed to the showers near the pool. I was shocked when he came over and started washing me down and massaging my sore muscles.

I was about to say something when he interrupted my train of thought saying, "This will help you be ready for this afternoon."

I looked at him and said, "You are going to work me into a coma today aren't you."

He laughed and said, "If you're going to take tomorrow off, I'm going to make you remember it." When he finished massaging my sore muscles he said, "Let's go get some food."

After we ate a large lunch Anderos and I went back outside and he said, "it's time for our running."

I looked at him and said, "You mean my running don't you?"

He then replied that he was going to match me in running to make sure I was not overdoing it.

We then headed off running on the track. I didn't know how long we were at it but I could feel my legs burning and my breath was short and extremely dry when Anderos said we would stop. We went to the showers to rinse off the sweat and he said we would spend the rest of the day in the pool.
