Declaration of Love to a Dragon
#2 of Ye olde stuff
This is the original "Declaration of Love to a Dragon" story I wrote a long time ago. If you stumbled upon this via a search or so, let me point you to my rewrite:http://www.sofurry.com/view/444578
It's true to the original, but more detailed, more dramatic and overall just better storytelling!
Welcome to my second story. Again, its about dragons in the past, featuring war, blood, treachery and raw sex. Yes, sex with dragons. If you're not into this stuff or not old enough, go away. Sssh. Those of you who have read my first story maybe know that I prefer a somewhat realistic approach: no magic, no talking dragons. Well, this time, its a love story told by and about derios, a former soldier who is living together with a dragoness.

Declaration of Love to a Dragon
I woke up early this morning, noticing how I could only barely make out the cave's walls in the dark. Probably still another hour before daylight came. My nose was cold. Carefully, I slid out from under her wing and walked to the cave's entrance, where the first snow had fallen down, bathing the forest below in a white shine. I took what little wood was left in our cave and began making a fire. "This wouldn't take half as long if you were awake", I thought to myself, smiling as I drilled the twig in my hands. A strange story, surely not to be found in any book, had led me to this place.
It all began some time ago, when a little kingdom known as seliro was attacked by its greedy neighbours...
That day, the city guards invaded the house of a far-off peasant named derios. His home was built some distance from the outskirts of the king's castle city, kilgard, where he had set up a number of small fields and hunted the local forests. The poor man was quite shocked when he was told that he was given the honor to defend the country in the name of the king. As he soon found out, this honor was a forced one. Lots of men from the castle city and its nearby villages were taken to the castle's yard in an attempt to form a so called "special division". They were trained from early morning to late evening for seven days, during which they had plenty of food but insufficient sleep. On the seventh day, four horse-drawn carriages were brought into the yard and the master knight ordered everyone to gather in the yard's center in full armor.
This was the first time derios ever saw a dragon in his life. Just like him, many of the other men were scared, too, as a large cage, hosting a chained black dragon, was driven in front of them on a six-wheeled carriage. It looked like it was asleep since its eyes were closed. The master knight took place on a barrel that had been quickly set up in front of the dragon cage. "From this day on", he began to speak, "you all are soldiers in the name of our king. Our mission is to slip through the lines of the invading enemy force. We will carry out an attack on the capitol of the treacherous kingdom of razan. They will be taken by surprise. Our ultimate goal is to kill the king himself." He visibly gazed into the lines of men. "Yes, the king and his ministers. To end this war once and for all!", he strengthened his words.
Derios had no idea at this time what foolish act of revenge they were ordered to carry out. Everyone felt proud and brave when they boarded the carriages, ten of the newly trained soldiers and two knights in heavy black armor each. The dragon cage was covered with a large tarp and took place in the middle of the convoy. There were a lot of horses, four on every carriage with an additional two on the sides. The soldiers were not allowed to speak to anyone outside their carriags, as they were told. Disobedience would be punished by executing the soldier in question in place. Thus, their journey began.
The convoy traveled till late in the night, stopping only two times to replace tired draft horses with those fixed to the sides of the carriages or new ones taken from local villages. The night camp was set up in a forest, where they made a number of small fires. Derios was one of the soldiers who had to fill up buckets and jars with water from a nearby forest stream. When he came back, he saw two of the knights feeding the dragon by throwing an entire backpack's worth of raw flesh into the cage. He caught a glimpse of the dragon's yellow eyes before the tarp was lowered again. The sounds that could be heard thereafter made everyone turn their heads in its direction.
Soon the chatting of the soldiers had started anew. Derios took place at one of the fires set up by the men of his own carriage. There he picked up that the dragon was somehow going to be used as a diversion for the enemy when they had reached their destination. Most of his fellow soldiers acted quite nervous this night. The front lines were less than a day on foot from their position, he was told when he asked for the cause. This made him nervous, too, to the point where he noticed his fingers visibly shaking as he ate his piece of roasted lamb. He didn't sleep much that night. It didn't improve the situation that some other soldiers just kept sitting around the fires. More than once he imagined hearing swords clashing together.
With the first light of morning, the convoy resumed its journey. This time, they seemed to evade any villages as well as streets which were crowded with refugees. At noon, the first camps of other soldiers could be seen. Those with armor looked the same as the ones in derios' division, but most of them had bandages around their arms or legs. The further they travelled, the less people could be seen. When in the late evening, they crossed a large forest, the master knight commanded the coachmen to stop. He then ordered everyone to help in hiding the carriages at least 200 steps from the road. While the horses could easily carry the now empty carriages on the uneven forest floor, the dragon cage caused them a lot of trouble, all the more because nobody wanted to get close to it.
After they had covered the tracks made in the ground, the master knight ordered the full division in front of him and explained the situation. Their army was about to make a tactical retreat in this region, allowing the enemy to cross the area they were hiding in. They had to keep low and remain totally silent till the invading army had left this forest behind. Whoever would be discovered was instructed to pretend being a deserter, under no circumstances was anyone allowed to provide help.
The master knight then instructed his knights to remove the tarp from the dragon cage. Twelve soldiers had to drench it in dirt. Derios watched them throwing mud onto the tarp, sometimes also onto each other. Then he looked at the dragon, which was observing the soldiers as well. Its black, scale covered body was large, maybe twice the size of a horse. A pair of wings seemed to stand out folded on its back. Suddenly, its head turned towards him. Yellow eyes, framed by two long horns and a muzzle featuring numerous sharp teeth and two large fangs gazed at him. Derios quickly looked to the ground. He dared not to look at the dragon again, till the knights prepared to wrap the now dark brown colored tarp over the cage. From the corner of his eye, he saw the dragon's head resting on the floor, not even reacting when three ropes were thrown over its cage to pull the tarp back in place.
Then the waiting began. Hours passed by without a trace of the enemy. The cold iron armor made derios shiver. It was an unpleasant situation, nobody could tell him how long it would take, not even whether any enemy soldiers were to come through this forest at all. When dusk began to fall, derios ate his final rice cake and tried to get some sleep. He awoke again late in the night with pounding heart, seeing the yellow eyes of the dragon glowing threatening before him. He opened his eyes. Darkness. A dream. Footsteps and the hooves of horses could be heard from the forest road.
From what derios was able to see in the pale moonlight, they were archers. And after the archers, more soldiers, equipped with swords and spears, followed. Then the forest became silent again. Nothing could be heard or seen for the hours to follow. Derios had expected their departure for the early morning hours, but the master knight kept silent till the sun was standing high above them. When he stood up, nobody was prepared for what he was about to say.
"Kill the cowards" was his first command, upon which three knights' throats were cut by their own men. Then he directed his words at the soldiers: "You are surrounded! Your king is dead and the enemy far outnumbers you!". Some soldiers looked disbelievingly to the master knight when they realized the full meaning of those words, others began shouting "Traitor!". But even those panicked when enemy troops could be seen approaching from all directions out of the forest. "Put your weapons to the ground", the master knight shouted. Slowly, more and more soldiers obeyed the command and laid their swords down.
When the enemy troops were within a stone's throw, their leader's high pitched voice cut the air: "kill them!" The outer lines of soldiers were slaughtered before they could even pick up their swords, derios' line stood just behind, he barely managd to grab his sword to block the first blow. He tried to move like they were taught just days ago, slashing left, then right, blocking, evading, striking. He didn't want to die. The soldier he was fighting stumbled, then fell to the ground. Most others didn't perform as good, derios had to permanently step backwards to keep his sides backed, the soldiers left and right of him quickly hitting the ground without even delivering a single blow to the enemy.
In anger and despair derios swung his sword at any unprepared enemy, often at those which had just killed one of his comrades. He knew there was just a handful of soldiers behind him before he would be stabbed in the back. It was hopeless. To his right, he heard the dragon roar, its cage shaking in all directions, scaring away anyone around it. He made a decision. Frantically swinging his sword and crashing into the lines of the enemy, he ran towards the dragon cage. But just when he had broken through, he felt the sharp pain in his side. He had not even noticed when he was hit. Still he ran, it didn't matter anymore. He jumped on the cage, spotted the retaining pins and pulled as hard as he could.
With a squealing sound, one corner of the cage gave way, then a hard strike from within the cage crushed down the entire side, nearly burying him below it. From under the shredded tarp, the dragon stepped free, just an arm's length from derios, its yellow eyes glowing threatening in front of him. Derios stood frozen. This time, he was not dreaming. The dragon's mouth opened and spat fire right over his shoulder into the rounds of his enemies. A few seconds later, anyone who wasn't burning alive ran away screaming in agony.
The last shoot of flame had bent the dragons head away from derios. He saw his chance and tried to step backwards, but fell to his knees instead. Just in that moment, an axe flung above his head, missing him by hair's breadth. The master knight himself came up from behind him, raising the axe anew while he passed derios. Desperately, derios grabbed his sword hard and, screaming loudly, drove it under the traitor's armor. The master knight screeched, then fell. His axe, brought into position just above the dragons neck, missed its target by inches a second time. Quickly, the dragon's head rocked in derios direction. He tried to grab the axe in a last effort, but couldn't even lift it. It was over. Grinning painfully, he fell into unconsciousness.
Several minutes later...
Derios could already feel waves of intense pain pulsing from his side before he was fully awake again. Slowly, he opened his eyes. And screamed. The dragon was licking his wound with its black forked tongue through a large crack in his armor which derios did not remember obtaining. When it heard derios' scream, it retreated, glaring and snorting at him. Derios stared at its agonizing fangs and the lines of smaller teeth which stood out from its closed muzzle. When he rolled around and tried to crawl away, the dragon stepped forward again, its forepaws grabbing his arms hard. He almost fainted from the pain when the dragon became airborne, roughly pulling him up. Trees were left and right of them, but the dragon managed its ascend above the forest.
The dragon's black claws were tightly closed around his arms. Derios didn't want to imagine what would happen to his arms should he slip from those paws. Below, he could see troops marching and running through the forest. The dragon was about to leave the forest behind when suddenly arrows were shot at them from all sides. Most of the archers underestimated the dragon's speed, but before long, multiple arrows pierced through the dragon's wings, some impaled themselfes on its belly. A loud roaring could be heard rolling over the countryside.
The dragon flew on. Derios could make out villages through which his group of soldiers had journeyed just the past day, now displaying the enemy's three-sword banner. He looked up, to the dragon's body, wondering what it had planned for him. In the leathery hide between its paws and just in front of derios, an arrow was stuck, blood trickling down its length, letting small drops splash against derios' broken armor. Maybe he would be eaten in some quiet place. At least with this beast, the situation was clear. No treachery, no greed, no false intents. He was even given a ride through the sky no man had ever experienced before. He smirked. Steadily, the pain in his side began to rise again as he calmed down from the shock, most probably only because of his blood loss.
When the dragon finally went to land on a meadow in front of some cave, derios was dropped into the grass, having the dubios luck not to break his own neck. The dragon turned around, facing derios again. He did not possess the power to fight this beast, nor did he want to. The seering pain in his side reminded him that he was about to die anyway. The revenge on the master knight was taken and the dragon was the one who granted it to him. "Let me just take off this armor. No need to hurt your teeth", he spoke while painfully unfastening his armor. The dragon simply watched him. Derios waited some moments. Then, holding his spread hand between him and the dragon, derios hobbled nearer, weakly speaking "I will try to pull that arrow out of you if you can patience yourself for so long". His body shaking and closely watched by the dragon, he walked, more crawled, up front the fearsome creature, then dove below its scaly face. Trembling, he reached between its front paws, grabbed the arrow and ripped it out in one quick move. The dragon jerked.
Still he lived. When derious went backwards again, the dragon began moving. But instead of killing him, it walked into the cave. Derios followed as fast as his wound allowd him to, weakly begging the dragon "Fine, then within the cave. Just do it already. My side hurts like hell." The cave wasn't deep and still light enough to allow him to see a broken egg as well as the dragon sitting near the entrance. The egg's contents were still there, thought long parched. "Is that your's ? So you're a dragon lady." Derios' last words before collapsing to the ground...
That was two months ago. Nobody had called me "derios" since then. The person known as derios was dead, lost on the battlefield as another nameless soldier of a suicide squad.
I had no idea when it was that she decided not to kill me, but after being on a diet of raw, dragon-chewed meat for almost a week, I slowly recovered. Luckily, the wound had not become inflamed, despite the dragon saliva and dirt in it. Back then, when I started to walk again, I had planned my departure numerous times. But neither did I know where I was nor did I know where I could go. Living with a dragon was a strange experience. Nothing dared to even come into the vicinity of the cave, yet was I able to find peaceful sleep next to the most fearsome creature known to man. But not only had my fear gone away, something else had developed.
The first time I decided to aid her in hunting, it became clear that this dragon was all but a dumb animal. She immediately knew what I intended to do and guided me to the center of the meadow, where I watched as she drove animals out of the forest and into my direction. We didn't need speech to understand each other's intents. Later, she came into the cave carrying a branch of berries in her mouth that she must have seen me eating before. Her raw and unadulterated nature solely judged me by my actions, a quality for which I began to admire her. More than that - watching the swiftness with which she moved her muscular body, the way her teeth poked out of her muzzle and how her tail swung behind her when she walked - in her own way, she was beautiful.
Admiring a dragon was one thing, but what I did a few weeks thereafter, well, had crossed some barrier. Maybe the happenings in the past had made me go crazy, maybe it was the loneliness, but that day, I sacrificed the first kiss of my live to her. I knew it was wrong, but when I looked at her sleeping form and slowly crept over to her face, she looked like the most desirable being in my small world. Her head was resting on the floor, watching me with those deep eyes of hers, foul sweetish breath coming from her nostrils. She didnt retreat when my hands reached below her head, then carefully lifted it eye to eye with mine. The feeling of being granted to move this daunting head at my will could not be described. I sensed all the small scales on her muzzle as my lips gently pressed into hers. She breathed evenly into my face while I slipped my tongue into her lips, poking against the sharp carnivorous teeth within, tracing them down their lengths and probing her cold gums. She kept motionless, all the time just fixing her eyes on mine.
Returning from my thoughts, I looked at her sleeping form. The fire had warmed the air in the cave and the morning sun was beginning to shine its light through the entrance. Today, I would do it. I knelt down in front of her and kissed her like I had done so often in this past week. "Somehow, I came to really like you", I whispered when I broke the kiss, then realized how I was not using the words I really meant. "The truth is, I think I love you", I paused, "That I would give my life for you... as if it didn't already belong to you." I shook my head. How could it just be so hard. "More so, perhaps I'm out of my mind, but I desire you. Yet I don't know how I could make you understand". It probably was not the best declaration of love ever made, but it let me feel relieved.
Her eyes had opened when I slowly crept along her body to sit down near her hind legs. Whenever I watched her, her tail had covered her privates, so I didn't know what to expect when my fingers traced the underside of her tail to between her legs. "You know what I'm doing, don't you ?", I tried to comfort her, or maybe myself. Just where her tail ended, I could feel soft wrinkled flesh, making her slip her tail between her legs when I touched it. Traveling further upwards, I could feel a crevice her anus was partly contained in. Slowly probing the crevice, I searched for the destination of my journey, always watching her reactions. When I found an opening, causing her legs to twitch slightly as I touched it, I knew I was right. Her head raised and glared at me when I began to gently rub the tender flesh with my fingers. Determined, I kept going, hearing her breath quicken while I gradually increased the pace. I could just hope to be doing it right.
Suddenly, she began to move. I quickly removed my hand from her genitals, but when I already thought I had gone too far, she rolled herself onto her back, exposing her draconity to me. Her wings laid slightly spread out on the floor while her muscular legs poked their sharp claws high into the air. The crevice I had explored could be seen as a long slit between her legs. Accepting the offer, I took her tail between my knees and dove my hand back into her body to resume my fondling. Soon her legs began twitching again and I used my free hand to tickle her anus, making her snarl softly whenever I did it. Just watching her enjoy my ministrations felt great and satisfying to me. I rubbed her stronger, seeing and feeling her insides clench around my hands in a regular pattern. From the smell that reached my nose, she clearly was aroused now. Trying to increase her pleasure, my fingers gently dove into the opening I had found, massaging the flesh within. She let me do to her whatever I wanted.
I tried spreading the crevice holding her genitals with my hand. What came into view of the slit my fingers were sunken into was quickly covered by my tongue. I licked what I could reach, tasting the slightly bitter juices of her body. Her breathing could be heard echoing through the cave and the massive muscles on her hind legs clenched to each of my sides. I badly lusted for her now, but first I would give her the most wonderful experience I could. I would bring her to heights no dragon had ever reached. Short spasms rippled through her belly when I began pumping my hand in her slit, trying to work it deeper into her. I could lose myself in the sight of the large mass of dragon flesh shuddering under my hands. She looked so ruttish. I let my hand rhythmically gyrate in her canal, instinctively feeling when she was nearing her climax. Everytime her orgasm approached, I slowed down, making her last for several more minutes before I finally pushed her over the edge.
With a loud roar she squeezed my hand tightly in her slit, spasming until she was spent. I withdrew my hand inch by inch, but before she could shift in any way, my throbbing member had already found its way into her crevice. Now without the slightest sign of concern, I moved the rest of my body into position, supporting my weight with my hands on her belly, feeling her massive ribcage through its leathery hide. If she let me, I would explore every inch of her draconic body later. Her eyes were within my view now and met with mine when I began to thrust into her. Thought my arousal built quickly, for part of me, it wasn't easy to get off on the sight of a dragon. But what could not be solved by lust could clearly be solved by perseverance. I did not want to fantasize about taking a human girl, I wanted to think of nothing but the black dragon in front of me when I took her.
I thrusted as deep as I could, entering the folds of her sex as far as the crevice allowed me to. It felt so great, her body reacting to mine by massaging and squeezing my organ each time it penetrated her. Still I watched her eyes and for the first time felt assured that I could muster her all I wanted, looking for facial expressions which gave away her feelings. Several minutes I applied more and more force into my thrusts, till I felt my release coming close. Her breath raised and lowered her belly, sometimes I could see her gulping. She was approaching her own orgasm as well, for the second time. When I finally came, I pushed forward, ejecting my seed deep in her. I felt that she wasn't finished yet, so I continued thrusting until shortly thereafter, her muzzle opened for another roar. Some time, I kept lying on top of her, resting my head on her belly.
I had her total approval of this unnatural act, that I knew. All barriers between us had been broken. Surely, she would now let me mount her in the other meaning of that word as well. Tomorrow, it was time for a ride through the sky...
So much for my try at writing a love story involving a dragon. I have received a few emails about creating more human-like dragons, but, well, I think I rather stay true to the way I am seeing things. There are quite a lot of stories floating around featuring talking dragons with boobs that act like mammals (no offense intended), just read your way through the 'dragon' category on YiffStar ;)
