Lives Intertwined: The Separation
(If you haven't read the original "Lives intertwined" Click here for Part 1 and here for Part 2 )
This is a continuation of the short series "Lives intertwined" which was trashed by a good friend of mine VenatoR. He gave me the rights to the story. Well I hope you enjoy it!
It was over a few months after James and Abby were left alone to have some fun with each other. They both have had some rough times, over silly meaningless arguments that were started by Abby.
"Ven... I'm going to go to New York to visit my family. You sure you don't want to come?"
She spoke up, breaking the long hours of silence as she was packing her things, as James watched.
He flicked his ears and perked them up high.
"Huh? No, I'm sure. We need some time away from each other."
He shrugged, and rolled over while he was trying to ignore her on his bed.
"Alright then.. Don't do anything stupid now. While I'm gone."
Abby tossed her last pair of underwear into her suitcase, reached out to grab at the top of the suitcase and pulled it down, a cracking sound popping as she locked it. She stayed quiet for a moment, feeling like she was stabbed in the stomach a million times, over and over.
Spit flickering off of her lips as she took a few deep breaths, more like hard pants when you're in pain.
It wasn't hard to tell, that she was already in so much pain. But James didn't bother to even open his eyes to look at her. Abby finally stopped her panting and slowly, but strongly got up on her feet.
Facing the mirror that was above the dresser in James' room. Her eyes and face all bleached into red from squeezing her tears and sobbing away the pain.
She looked over to James, he fell asleep on the bed, his belly moving up and down slowly as he breathed calmly.
"I'll see you in a.... Couple of.... Months"
Abby spoke her last words before taking her belongings and leaving the room.

All I saw when Abigail left was darkness, I only intended to close my eyes for a while, but I was sleepy.
It was her fault, since she kept the argument going on all night long. I felt a little bit more free, since now she was gone. I opened my eyes, peeking at first. Making sure she was really gone.
She was gone.... For good. I smiled to my husky self, not really proud of what I did. But it was best for both of us.
I opened the door of my room and walked out. Seeing Mike sprint towards me, I was ready to answer all of his questions.
"Wh-What happened? She walked out of the door with a suitcase, a plane ticket, and sunglasses! That doesn't happen everyday dude!"
I smiled "She went to New York. To visit her family."
I saw Mike's face twitch a little as he saw me smile. "Shouldn't you be sad about that? You seem a bit happy that she left..."
I walked up to Mike and gave him a playful punch on his shoulder, I might have done it a little bit too hard, because he rubbed his shoulder after receiving the punch.
"Well. She is a very unpleasant person to argue with. And she -ALWAYS- starts it. You know how human girls are."
Mike shrugs and continues to rub his shoulder, ruffling his fur as he walked off.
"I hope you did the right thing, James."
