#1 of College Unbound

The first chapter in a new series, one for once that doesn't involve transformation. This series will be delving into darker subjects so please be wary when reading this series.

Terry is going to college finally after living in a dark home, now that he's at college though he may not fit in that well.

I hope you all enjoy, I would love to hear what you all think of this. ^^

"Terrance, do you really have to go to college this early?" Terry sighed in irritation as he packed away his clothes; the coyote had been pestered constantly by his mother from going to college. She didn't think that he would make it due to money problems; his mother was twisting her tail in her hands nervously. "You know you could go work with your uncle, he has a lot of openings as baggers."

Zipping up his suitcase Terry turned around and glared at his mother, "Mom, cut it out. You know that Uncle Garret doesn't like me, and I was accepted to this college through a scholarship. I'm not giving this up, alright?"

Sighing deeply Sharron set her hand to her face and sat down on Terry's bed, "Terrance..."

Baring his teeth the coyote snapped at his mom, "Mom, my name isn't Terrance! It's Terry, alright!"

Sharron winced, "I'm sorry, but I don't see why you don't like your name..." Terry was quiet as he picked up the suitcase, "Terrance... please..."

A heavy weight sat on Terry's shoulder, "Mom... I know dad left, but I have to go. I want to live my life out..." He was quiet as he heard the springs of his bed squeaking, for a moment there was nothing until he felt his mom's arms wrap around his chest.

"You're right... I'm sorry Terra... Terry... please just don't forget to visit..." His mom's voice was quiet even though she was so close.

Setting his hand on his mother's arms he bent his head down, "I'll always come home mom... don't worry about that."

After a deep gulping breath, his mom's hug weakened for a moment before tightening up again. "And one more thing, find the right girl for yourself. I want you to be happy, and I want some grandkids." Even though her voice was joking, Terry could tell that she was being serious. "Do you understand Terry?"

He said nothing for a moment as his eyes went over the dirty walls of his room, gulping deeply he tried to tell the truth. But it never would come out, so the only words he could say were. "Yes mom..."

Terry was quiet as he walked towards his car, his mother following behind him very closely. "Now Terry, don't forget to be nice to your roommate. Also don't slack in your studies, alright? Oh and..."

Terry said nothing as he dropped off his stuff into his car and got into the front seat, he lazily nodded his head as his mother spouted off word after word until he was about to back up. He smiled up at Sharron lightly, "Mom, I'll be fine. Don't you worry about anything, I'll write you in a week. Alright?"

Finally getting the message his mom stopped talking, there was an awkward silence for a moment before she nodded. "Yeah... I get it... please Terry, be safe."

Terry nodded and leaned out and kissed his mom on the cheek, "I'll be fine, now take care of yourself. I know I was cooking for us since... he left, but now you need to take care of yourself. If you need any help Miss Trunkan told me that she's more than willing to get you back on your feet. Alright?"

Sharron bit her upper lip a few times before nodding, "Alright... goodbye Terry." She waved at him lightly, her shoulders at first had been slack. But for some reason, knowing that her son was finally going to be achieving something with his life had made her whole form seem sturdier.

Terry grinned, "Goodbye mom, I'll talk to you later." Pulling out of the driveway in an old beat up Volkswagen, the coyote looked over the dirty street that he had grown up in. "It's time to make my own way in life..."

The college campus was clean and fragrant with the smell of freshly grown flowers as Terry pulled in, compared to the vehicles of his peers. Terry's looked as if it should've been sitting in a scrapyard instead of in the prestigious college's parking lot; the coyote ducked his head as he passed by the other freshman who were climbing out of their cars. Reaching a spot where he could pull in, Terry slowly climbed out though keeping his head low. After reaching a respectable distance the coyote stood up tall, showing off his full height of six foot three. "Ew... what are those disgusting clothes you're wearing?"

Terry's hopes of staying at least somewhat dignified were crushed by a fancily dressed rabbit, her face was scrunched up in disgust as she looked over his clothing. Terry cursed silently as he realized that his clothes were a dead giveaway at his social status, "O... oh these? These are my clothes..."

Laughter filled the air as the rabbit laughed loud and ringing, "Oh my god, seriously? You look like a fucking hobo; I think you came to the wrong place. This is a college, not a back alley." The bunny's entourage of friends nodded and whispered to one another shooting him glances all the while.

Gulping down a large bulge in his throat, Terry brushed off his clothes shakily. "I... I'm a student here, I have a scholarship."

The bunny's laughter only grew louder as she saw him brushing off his clothes, "You do realize that brushing off your clothes doesn't make you look any less retarded, right?"

The coyote ducked his head down tight as other college goers stopped around them and started to stare at Terry with disgust, his paw shaking even harder now Terry tried to open his mouth but was shocked as another voice entered into their conversation. "Hey lay off of him bitch, I don't see you having enough smarts to be in college. You probably just paid your way into college."

The bunny was taken aback, "Who the fuck said that?!" Her head snapped from side to side looking for her insulter.

A handsome wolf stepped out from the crowd of watchers; his eyes were bright blue a stark difference from his black fur. His body was nothing to scoff at as his muscles rippled under his shirt, "It was me bitch, now if you don't back off. I'll have to have a few more words to explain how I feel about you."

A ripple of whispers came from the surrounding crowd as all of the furs waited for the bunny to say something, after being shocked for a moment the bunny hastily messed with her dress as if dirt had fallen on it. "I... h... he isn't worth my time. Come on girls, we have more important things to do." Hastily the crowd dispersed as the girls quickly walked away towards the college building.

Terry was silent as he stood stock still with his hands clutching on tightly to his pants, an expression of pain was plastered on his face as the words of the bunny rang in his heads. The wolf approached him, "Are you alright?" His speaking seemed to trigger something in Terry and he was shocked as the coyote started to tear his clothes with his claws.

"Damn you! Damn you, you drunk asshole!" Terry shouted out as he ripped at his clothes angrily, the wolf gasped as he watched blood spray from bits of Terry's body.

"Hey, stop it right now!" The wolf grabbed Terry's arms in an attempt to stop the coyote but was distraught to find that Terry wouldn't stop.

After five minutes of ripping at his clothes and his fur Terry collapsed to his knees panting heavily, blood leaked out of the self-inflicted wounds. The coyote was despondent as his head sank low and his eyes glazed over, but even in the state that he was in he was still muttering. "Stop it... get out of here... I'm not..."

Realizing that the coyote was done and that he was practically nude now, the wolf ripped off his shirt and threw it around the coyote. He started to speak in an quiet tone whispering soothingly, "Come on, I'll let you get changed in my room."

He picked up Terry's suitcase and helped up the coyote, Terry continued to mutter angry comments as he was led into the dorms by the wolf.

Pain wracked through Terry's body as his eyes flicked open, "Hey there, how are you feeling?" The coyote's head flicked to the side to see a wolf smiling gently at him, the wolf was in the process of wrapping up one of his arms in bandages. "You're Terry right?"

Terry's ears pulled down to his head as he started to snarl, "How do you know my name?"

The wolf chuckled lightly holding up his hands in a submissive pose, "I saw it on your suitcase, to get us on even ground I'll tell you mine. I'm Ralph, Ralph Dorosin."

Terry didn't move for a minute as his breathing slowly returned to normal, his gaze slowly lowered until he saw his body and saw bandages around his body. "What happened?" He asked quietly.

"You were hurting yourself; after that bitch left us you went kinda crazy..." Ralph answered his eyes traveling over the body of the coyote.

Saying nothing Terry quickly realized that he was naked, "What happened to my clothes?" He questioned Ralph.

Ralph scratched the back of his head, "Well... you kinda ripped them all off." Terry felt embarrassed as pulled a blanket over his lower half. Ralph didn't say anything for a few minutes until after finishing up his own arm, "I noticed one thing while I was bandaging up your chest..."

Flinching Terry lowered his head, "You did?"

Ralph nodded as he stood up and faced away from the coyote and dragged some clothes out from his closet and brought them over to Terry, he turned once more to let the coyote change. "Where did that scar come from?"

Terry was silent as he pulled on the clothes and quickly grabbed his suitcase and walked over to the wolf's door, "Thanks for bandaging me up, I have to go find my dorm room." Ralph didn't do anything to stop the coyote as he stepped out the door.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After thirty minutes of searching the dorms, Terry finally found the dorm advisor who showed him to his room. The coyote's mouth dropped showing off his sharp teeth, "You're kidding me, right?"
Shocked the advisor looked at him confused, "Is there something wrong with this room? I can get you a new one if you'd like..."
The coyote quickly shook his head, "N... no... thank you sir, have a great day..." The lizard tilted his head before walking away with a perplexed look on his face, Terry looked at the key that had been handed to him. "The world is cruel..." He muttered to himself before unlocking the door to reveal Ralph reading a book.
Ralph scratched his chest running his hand through his fur as he read, stuck in the book he never heard the door open. It took him a few minutes before he realized that there was someone in the room with him, more surprising was that it was Terry. "Terry, what are you doing back here?"
The coyote coughed in embarrassment, "We're roommates it seems..." Ralph nodded but stayed quiet as Terry unpacked his suitcase into a dresser, "What did I say?" Ralph looked up questioningly.
"What do you mean?" Terry sighed heavily as he pressed his hands into his bed.
"What did I say when I blacked out? I've blacked out before; I know I say things when I'm out..." Ralph coughed softly as he looked to the side in embarrassment.
"You said something about drunken asshole..." Ralph muttered.
Terry sighed as he set his suitcase on the floor and collapsed onto his bed facing away from Ralph, "What time is orientation?" He asked over his shoulder not looking at the wolf.
Ralph thought about it for a moment, "We'll be required at orientation in three hours..."
Letting out a deep sigh Terry closed his eyes, "Good, wake me up when it's time to go..."
"...Alright." Ralph said watching as Terry's back let go of all of its tension and his breathing slowed down. "What secret are you keeping Terry?" He questioned softly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Terry was hesitant as Jack slipped out of his shirt and started to crawl towards him, "Jack... I dunno what if my dad comes in?"

Jack, a handsome fox crawled in close tilting his head softly as his muzzle came close to Terry's. "Your dad is asleep Terry, you and I both know that when he's drunk he doesn't wake up until midnight..."

Finally giving in Terry started to lean forward, "I'm still not sure Jack, I don't know if I'm actually..."

The fox giggled as he pulled off the coyote's shirt, "That's why we're doing this, remember Terry?"

Terry bit his lip, "But my mom..."

Jack drew in closer his hands pressing against the coyote's chest, "Is at work." Terry was silenced from saying anything else as Jack pressed his lips against Terry's, the seventeen year old coyote resisted at first but then started to kiss back.

Jack wrapped his arms around Terry and pulled in the coyote close. Terry had never felt more happy, even all of the girlfriends he had been with had never made him feel so right. The teenager's chests pressed close together as they rolled onto their sides. After what felt like infinity Terry pulled back from the kiss, "Jack..."

The fox was smiling, "How was it?"

The coyote thought about it before smiling back, "I think I have my answer that I was looking for..."

The fox circled his finger on the floor teasingly, "Oh really, what's the answer?"

Terry grinned, "Well... I don't know... why don't we have another kiss and you tell me?"

Jack squealed as he jumped at his friend and hugged him, "Took you long enough!" Terry was laughing hard as his friend hugged him, as his eyes opened up they widened in terror. Standing above the pair stood a shadowy figure...

"Terry! Terry wake up!" The coyote's eyes flicked open as his chest breathed in and out heavily, Ralph's face was inches from his own. "Terry, you were screaming! What were you dreaming about?!"

Terry couldn't say anything as his nightmare replayed in his head, after a minute of being quiet he gulped heavily knocking the bulge in his throat down. "It... it's nothing... when's orientation?"

Ralph wasn't satisfied with the answer but sighed, "It's in thirty minutes... I was going to wake you up in a bit but your screaming made it kinda mandatory..." Terry quickly jumped up from his bed and brushed the wrinkles out of his clothes and rushed out the door, Ralph's eyes were sad as the door slammed shut. The wolf looked at the bed and could smell the scent of fear coming from the sheets, "What scares you so much Terry?"
