The School of Hard Knocks for Pokemon with Special Needs

"Welcome to Advance Techniques 420. I am Ms. Celia (a Clefable) and I will be teaching your class for the duration of the semester. The first order of business is to state your name, and your home town, burrow, cave, river, etc. " said the smiling Clefable.

The first pokemon to answer was a rather timid Sandshrew with quite a story behind him. He was the first of 4 shrews out of his mother's womb. Like all of them, he was eventually captured by trainers coming thought their home in the Adelphi Ruins. It happened that he was caught by a surly Researcher of the ruins. Unlike his siblings, he never really trained, so was beaten into a pulp every battle. His master was quite displeased with his skills and even began taking his frustrations out on sandshrew when his research failed time and time again. It wasn't physical, but if you heard those words said, you would resort to the fetal position. Eventually, so did Sandshrew. End result: therapy and this school. "Sandshrew of Adelphi Ruins," barely managing to hold his composure.

The second pokemon to answer was a Pikachu with some serious problems. With her trainer, Pikachu was accustomed to being the center of attention even during its pichu days, even before it hatched. Her trainer was new at breeding and produced a powerful Pichu from her crossings. Then Clefairy happened. Clefairy was the first pokemon Pikachu's trainer caught. Soon, the attention was divided between Clefairy and Pikachu, with Clefairy getting a bit more. After a while, Pikachu got a sinister idea in her head, one of many ideas that cost her many things. This was a plot to fish off Clefairy. While they traveled between Lilycove and the Safari Zone, she contacted a local contract killer, an Absol named Yin, for a plan to remove the threat to her place. As the ides of March approached, Yin came and took Clefairy away. It was a success except that Clefairy came back 48 hours later as their trainer frantically searched for any clues. Pikachu was wide-jawed as Clefairy talked to her trainer and ratted Pikachu out. What happened to the Absol, no one knows, but that fiasco landed her here. "I am Pikachu from Cerulean City."

---That's enough of the background stories for now--

"Cacnea of Adelphi Ruins," said Cacnea in his usual jolly tone that even removed the stern look from Ms. Celia.

"Better late than never..." mumbled Ms. Celia as she forced a smile.

"Now you are twitching," said the Sandshrew, genuinely concerned for her only to revert back to his shyness with a nasty look from the clefable.

"The second thing I want you guys t do is sign up for your labs in Sleep, Poison, Confusion, Burn, Freeze, Paralysis, and Attract."

Now Pikachu did not prepare this prior to class and found herself in a tight jam. "What could I do?" was all she could think to herself.

Cacnea sprung up from his seat and gave his idea. "I will do Attract and Confusion."

Vulpix was next to give her labs, "Burn and Attract."

Totodile looked Vulpix with those dreamy eyes and declared his labs as well. "I will do Burn and Attract as well," he said in glee. "Totodile," said Ms. Celia with a tone that underlined her growing impatience with this class, "you cannot burn anything even if you tried." "Okay then, I will do Attract and freeze."

Sandshrew looked at all of the possible choices and saw he could only do two. "Poison and Attract."

Pikachu started looking lustily at the Eevee and whispered something quite sexy in her ear, if she was a lesbian. Instead of an invitation, Pikachu got a Take Down Attack right on the ground. By this point, the Clefable was on her last straw as she angrily mumbled to herself as she started lecture. The topic was sleep tactics. But as soon as she put up the first slide, she began to sing, knocking out all of the students. With that, she left the room. "Now to deal with Mr. Chan."

I wonder what tomfoolery Ms. Celia is planning but let's stick around with the little guys.

15 minutes later...

Cacnea is the first to wake, not use to sleeping for long periods of time. "Hey, where's Ms. Celia?" He scurried over to his classmates running about waking up Pikachu, Sandshrew, and Eevee. As he went over for Totodile, he turned about and blushed at the sight. Eevee, finally fully awake walked over to Cacnea to fid out what he was blushing for. Totodile woke up in a violent way, shaking and with some tears in his eyes. "Are you all right?" asked Eevee.

Totodile merely nodded and returned to his seat. Cacnea went and woke up Vulpix, who happened to be a deep sleeper because of her accident. Totodile wondered if he could ever get her to remember him...

Ms. Celia entered the class with ruffled hair and her bow off center. "Um I am sorry, class." She curled her hair and placed her bow snugly on her head. "Class dismissed."

Sandshrew and Cacnea were the first to leave, headed for a night on the town, of course forced by Cacnea. Then Eevee, Vulpix and Totodile left, headed towards their respective dorms.

Pikachu contemplated her predicament she has put herself into. "I would love to mate with Eevee. She's strong... I love her, but this stunt with Totodile might push that back." She said as she left the room.

"Um isn't she a girl?" thought the confused Clefairy teacher who also left the room.
