Supernatural Sector
"Get off of me, psycho!" I yelled, pushing the reptile off. The reptile was a dinosaur-like thing, but that didn't really surprise me. "That hurt."The raptor got off of me, then suddenly attacked me, which I countered by throwing him against a wall. He got up, whimpering. Apparently I'm stronger than I thought. The raptor was green and was wearing various feathers like some native tribe would."Ow." Was its response."A dinosaur?" Samuel asked. "That's new.""Hryssar is bird of prey." The raptor corrected."Whatever." Samuel replied. "What's your deal, anyway? Like, how did you end up here?""Hryssar does not remember. Only remembers going to sleep, then waking up in cage." The raptor answered."How'd you get out?" I asked."Door opened itself, Hryssar ran." Hryssar explained."Then I guess I'm not the only one who's broken free. I wonder if that was Danny's doing." I thought aloud."Well let's wonder about that later, cuz we got company." Samuel warned. He pointed down the way Hryssar came from, and sure enough there were some gang members headed our way."It still cracks me up that they dress like bikers." I commented."We better run, but I could seriously use a weapon." Samuel said as we took off."Hryssar, come on." I commanded the raptor as we began to run, then to Samuel, "Do you really expect me to just find a weapon lying around?""I expect something! I'm at least more helpful with a make-shift weapon than I am without one." Samuel answered. I saw my cell ahead, and remembered the guy I crushed under the door."Hold on." I summoned a wall of ice behind us and lifted the door with the help of Samuel. The guard was just beginning to come to, but Hryssar made sure he stayed knocked out. The guard only had two bowie knives, but that seemed to excite Samuel a decent bit."Alright! Sharp objects!" He exclaimed."Well," I commented. "You need help.""Shut up," He snapped. "You do too." He took the knives and swung them around, testing them. "They aren't Cleanser, but they'll do.""Ice breaking." Hryssar said behind us.
"Very bad.""What?" I asked, turning to see the wall shattering before my eyes. "Shit!" I summoned a frost knife and threw it at the closest attacker. It hit him square between the eyes, killing him instantly. I regretted that decision immediately, as I felt dizzy afterwards. "Alright, bad idea. New idea: Run!" We turned and bolted.---(Two hours ago; Danny Polter's point of view)"Ugh, my head. Harry? George? Anyone?" I called as I came to. The last thing I remember was hanging out with Harry and George on a Saturday, then BLAM!! I was out cold. My immediate reaction is to check to see if I'm dead. My three stripes are still glowing, and the others are their regular cyan, much to my relief.I then check my surroundings, and see I'm in a jail cell. I then panic, trying to remember what happened to get me arrested. I then see Harry and George out cold in the bunk beds across the room from mine. I walk up to George and give him a good slap on the face."What? Who? Where? When?" He shouted as he jolted awake. He then looked at me and said, "Why?""What the hell happened last night?" I hissed. He thought for a second before shrugging."I dunno. Last I remember is making plans for tomorrow." He explained."That's the last thing I remember too. Crap." I said. I then turned to Harry. "Hey, furry Tesla, wake up." I said as I shook him. His electric powers discharged into my arms, but for some reason they don't hurt me. In fact, it feels pretty good, as if it amplifies my powers."What do you want, Danny?" He asked."I would like to know just how the hell we ended up in jail. Any ideas?" I asked."We're in prison? What? How?" Harry asked, beginning to panic. I walked over to the door and shouted at one of the guards, who happened to remind me of a heavy metal band member."Hey you, why are we in here?" I yelled."Same reason as everyone else: just for being a furry." He called back, grinning deviously.Oh really? I thought. I turned around and started pacing back and forth. "Guys, play along." I muttered under my breath to Harry and George. As I turned back to the door, I had a "sudden" outbreak of rage. I started yelling at Harry, throwing him around. Then, as planned, George threw me off him, "accidentally" making me hit my head a little too hard
against the wall. Harry and George then got into a fight over George "killing" me as my ghost-mode activated.I got up, unknown to the guard as he started freaking out about me dying. His fear amplified my powers ten fold. I passed through the bars, grabbed the guard by his shirt and threw him against the wall, not letting him move. "You have gotten on my last nerve." Came my spectral voice. I let my poltergeist powers explode, causing our cell along with every other cell at this part of the hall burst open. The guard began to plead for mercy as a raptor-like thing ran out of its cell and sprinted the opposite direction."Please don't kill me, I never meant any harm!" He pleaded. I glanced at my stripes. I had about thirty seconds left."Since I don't have much time, and I don't desire death, I will spare you. However, you will be cursed to become the very thing you despise." I said. I turned him away from the wall and scratched him through his clothes, leaving them intact but giving him a nasty scar. I then rushed to my body to revive myself. After I rejoined my mortal body, I walked back over to my latest curse victim. He was rolling around, clutching where I had scratched him, whimpering in pain. I knelt down beside him and he stopped moving and looked up at me in horror."Please don't hurt me." He repeated."I've already dealt my wrath. You should be undergoing a rather painful transformation." I explained. "Don't worry, though, I'm not all evil. You should get your favorite animal." I kept a devious smile on the whole time. The transformation must've just started, as he started yelling and writhing in excruciating pain."Danny, he's had enough." Harry said behind me.My smile faded. "I'm not controlling it, nor can I stop it, Harry." I explained without turning around. "I'm simply making sure he doesn't try anything.""Do you not see how much pain he's in?" George asked. "How could he try anything?""I meant after the transformation." I snapped. I heard the sound of footsteps coming from the end of the hall, and saw several guards running towards us. "Shit. Guys?""We're on it." George said. They walked past me to deal with the guards."You better apologize for the pain you're putting him through." Harry hissed as he passed me."I don't recall the person who gave us our powers apologizing for our deaths." I
replied."What?" Harry asked. I simply gave him that "I'll explain later" look he has come to know and hate. As smart as he is, the paranormal seems to make him look stupid. I know we had died, if at all briefly, the night we gained our powers.I glanced at my stripes, a habit I had gotten into. The afterlife I had used was about halfway done regenerating, and I had two to spare. Over the years, my worst fear had become getting caught without a second chance left on my arm. I've even had nightmares of not having any glowing stripes and getting cornered my a maniac, who proceeded to slowly kill me. As I bled out, I glanced at my arm, noting that the afterlife would be ready in ten seconds as I drew my final breath. I would then wake up in a cold sweat, hyperventilating. It had been my worst fear ever since we out-lived the apocalypse. We had been the one's to end the world's third apocalypse with some help from a guy named Niniju Enderfrost. The guards somehow knew what they should prepare for, and soon George and Harry were retreating back this way. I stood up. "How did they overpower you?" I asked as they ran towards me."Beats me, just run!" George yelled. I looked over to notice that guard trying to sneak off."And where do you think you're going?" I asked as I grabbed his arm and dragged him with me in the opposite direction, throwing open doors with my spectrakinesis as we passed them. As we fled, I heard the sounds of howls and screams, noting that we had been put in the paranormal section of this place. That was probably my fault. We eventually lost them, and by that point I had to carry the guard because he had fainted from the pain of transformation. He had turned into a jet black wolf, and he was beginning to wake up as we got to a safe room. "Ugh. Man that sucked." He complained as he got up, rubbing his head."You okay?" Harry asked. The now ex-guard looked over with a confused look."What do you mean?" He asked."Well..." I motioned to a nearby mirror, which just happened to be there. He looked to see what he had become. His reaction wasn't exactly a calm one, but he didn't flip out either."I-I'm a w-wolf." He muttered."Yeah, you are." I confirmed."What's weird is: for some reason, I like it." He said."You like it?" Harry asked. "Danny, what did you do to him?" He glared at me."Hey, I
can't control how he feels about it. Maybe he was brainwashed to hate us or something." I explained. I then turned back to the guard. "What's your name, anyway?""Alexander...Alexander something...I can't remember my last name." He replied. "I don't remember ho-AAAAAHHHH!!!" He yelled, clenching his head in pain. After a minute, the pain seemed to have subsided and he looked up with a look of realization on his new furred face. "I-I remembered something.""Remember what?" George asked."I remember why I like my new body, but hated it earlier." He said. "I was born a furry."---(Ryan Bowilla's point of view)"Just calm down, Greg." I said to the lion beside me. "Everything's fine.""How do you know that?" He asked. "We're in jail, Ryan. How can you possibly be so calm?""Because. They think they suppressed our powers, but runic power is immune to suppression. If you would have taken enough time to realized that, you would be calm as well." I explained. He stopped freaking out. "I actually didn't know that." He admitted."I know I ask this a lot, but when exactly did you get your runic gift?" I asked."Honestly, about a month before our...encounter." He was referring to our supernatural fight at school three months earlier. He had been bullying me about being a tiger with black fur and rainbow stripes. He then got a taste of my strength rune and dropped his disguise as a normal lion. He had black fur as well along with a rainbow mane and similar powers."The fact that an apocalypse broke out on the spot kind of sucked." I said. "That had to be, like the fifth apocalypse this world's undergone.""Actually, I think it was the fourth." Greg said, scratching his chin in thought."Let's see," I recollected the various apocalypses in this dimension's history. "There was the one that seemed to be bent on destroying every Alcatraz prisoner, back when it was running.""I wanna meet the guy who managed to escape with just a katana. Have you heard that they had seen him wandering the streets in Ney York? I think he time traveled." Greg was very fond of choosing the most ridiculous, yet logical, explanations for abnormal phenomena."Then there was the furry epidemic that ended in humans actually devising a way
to create zombies, which later got out of control." I recalled. "The apocalypse that nobody knows how it ended, and ours.""So, yeah, that's four." Greg concluded."Fun." I muttered. "I think we're about to start a miniature one if this prison is as poorly run as I think it is." I got up and walked to the door. I touched the lock with the dark purple rune for "unlock" and the door swung open. "Open sesame worthless entryway.""We're going now?" Greg asked. "You seem eager to cause some chaos.""Of course I am, I'm me." I said with a smile. I cloaked us both with an invisibility rune, which was clear, needless to say. We walked a bit too casually, but we could afford it, considering I mastered illusionary runes last month. I stopped when I sensed an insane drop in temperature on my thermal rune's radar. (I summoned it to sense nearby hostiles.) It was emanating from the door to my left. I turned and stood, looking into the very small window near the top of the door, and gasped at what I saw. Heatstroke was bound to an operating table and cryogenically frozen solid. It appears he was frozen mid-howl, which came as a shock to me. I've met Heatstroke and his buddies before, if only briefly, at a major city during the apocalypse I had lived through. (For those of you wondering, this dimension is becoming corrupt, and is constantly undergoing apocalypses.) I've never seen Heatstroke cry, or have any depressing emotions, when he's in physical, mental, or emotional pain. He stands for Niniju's anger and almost always responds to negative stimuli with anger. Seeing him frozen in the middle of crying; that was truly terrifying. This place was a force to be reckoned with. With Greg's help, I forced the door open and walked inside. The temperature was steadily rising from the original of 0°K. Absolute zero. I walked up to Heatstroke. The poor kitsune was obviously frozen in a look of pure agony and a few tears were frozen on his vulpine face."Greg, see if you can gently defrost Heatstroke." I looked around and found what Heatstroke had apparently been carrying. They weren't frozen since the area around Heatstroke was the only frozen part. I saw a list of names, and three were circled: Trinity, Uplink, and Flashpoint. I wonder who they are...
