Twizted tails: little red riding hood
#1 of twizted tails
im not sure where this idea came from lol but i figured why not?
Run. Faster. Must...get...away.... The terrified girl glanced behind herself, seeing her pursuer closing in she whimpered and tried to speed up. So... tired.... Can't... stop... she stumbled slightly; at the perfect time. As she fell to the left, her momentum rolled her over off the path. The creature chasing her dove at where she was mere milliseconds ago. He was forced to skid to a halt and turn. The girl had already gotten up and disappeared among the trees. The wolfish creature sniffed the air before frowning and following into the trees cautiously. He had only gone a few feet when he felt a splitting pain in the middle of his back. He fell to the ground with a howl of pain. He looked up to see his quarry stepping from behind a tree and he snarled; futilely. For his fate was sealed when he fell for the trap. The girl giggled manically and drew a gun. The wolf-man struggled to get up but he was kicked back down by someone behind him "P-pl---" BANG... BANG BANG
And another fell to little red riding hood and the ax-man.
"Someone has to stop her" said one wolf to the other. "But us? Why are we qualified?" said the second. The first's name was Brake. He was a grey timber wolf; his fur was flecked with white as if he had some arctic in his blood somewhere. He was headstrong and stubborn; but very smart. The second wolf was a black timber wolf; he was easygoing and calmer than his counterpart, and was a walking encyclopedia. Together they balanced each other out fairly well. "Because, Elliot, we're the only one who will stick our heads out from the ground." Brake said shaking his head at his partner's nervousness. He supposed there was good reason for it; little red had killed close to 30 wolves now. But she wouldn't stop if no one stopped her. And Brake was tired of living in fear. Elliot sighed. Brake had a point, and to be honest he was tired of this too. Granted you were safe if you didn't go out alone but trying to convince the other wolves of that was difficult. "Where do you think they're hiding?" Brake asked pulling the black wolf from his thoughts Elliot thought for a moment. They weren't on the ground. Nor were they under it. The ground was scoured after the first few killings; no homes or tunnels had been found. He looked up at the thick canopy overhead. "If they're in this forest then they have to be in a tree house. But it's more probable they have a place beyond the forest's limits." Where we have no jurisdiction. The black wolf cursed the day when the humans arrived from over the seas; there was immediately tension. They had guns and the wolves had nothing but tooth and claw. After much bloodshed; an agreement was made, the canines getting the short end. The wolves would keep to the forests and that would be their domain. That worked for the past 200 years; but then came little red riding hood. The demented girl with a big gun, named for the riding cape she always seemed to wear. She came and started killing wolves off for sport. She wouldn't have been so successful if she didn't always have her ax man, her large and nightmarish partner. The pair had only ever lost one wolf. Every other one died at their hands "Alright" Brake said smiling a little when his partner turned away. "So we start with the canopy." He said. "No." Elliot said thoughtfully. "If they were in the forest someone would have caught their scent. They must be outside. But we can't just waltz out there." "I don't see why not" Brake said shrugging. Elliot rolled his eyes. Brake was not naïve enough to actually think that. He just sort of expected the rules to bend the way he wanted them too. The annoying part is he often succeeded in making them do so. But this time Elliot wasn't so sure. "You must be crazy." He said shaking his head "She comes into our lands and kills us for sport. I'm not crazy; I'm pissed." Brake said yanking his arm away. "if you don't' want to come then I understand." He looked at his friend. Elliot met his gaze, glaring. "You know I'll follow you." He said sternly. Elliot; while he seemed fearful and nervous on the outside; was one of the strongest wolves that Brake had ever met. His parents had been one of the first victims of little red; He had escaped out of sheer luck; and by the tip of his tail. That had been 2 years ago and Elliot never quite recovered. But when Brake had first suggested that they go after them; Elliot had been the first and only to raise his timid paw to volunteer. Since then the two had grown close; mainly they had been trying to get the alpha to even allow them to go out. But finally after two weeks of careful persuasion, here they were. "So that's the plan" he said setting off at a brisk pace "Wait what plan!?" Elliot said trailing behind him.
".... Did we take a wrong turn somewhere?" Brake looked at the sight around him, his tail sliding between his legs slowly as he looked to his friend. "I-I don't think so" Elliot said gulping at the desolation before him. "We've been locked in the woods for a long time. A lot must have changed." "This isn't a change. This is an apocalypse" Brake said crouching and touching the blackened ground with his fingertips. He turned and looked at the forest again, its deep green suddenly halting; giving way to the grey black dust they now stood on. At least the sky was still blue. "w-we can't give up now." Elliot said, his voice wavering. They walked in silence for an hour, before they came to more green. It was a field... no! A farm. There was a home, a barn and a stable. Brake made for the home but Elliot grabbed him "what if they aren't friendly?" "What if they are?" he said pulling Elliot along behind him. When they got to the house their spirits sank. There were spider webs everywhere and a fine coating of dust on everything. They turned to leave and then heard a raised voice and a laugh that sent shivers down their spines "That's right boy- leap!!" They cautiously made their way around the house to where the voice had come from. There was a pigpen built behind the house with a rather nice chair sitting in the middle of it that looked incredibly out of place. It was really more of a throne than a chair; with gold trim and nice deep red velvety looking fabric. Lounging in the throne was something the wolves had thought was myth. It was a woman... sort of. She had extra legs and eyes. As well as fangs that extended a small ways towards her chin. All eight of her eyes were cold and cruel. There was a massive bulb extending from her lower back with spinnerets on the end. The drider didn't seem to notice them at first; too occupied with the dancing pig she had on a leash. He looked to be an odd mix of miserable and ecstatic. His pink skin was dirty; but still looked well kept. His clothing, like his mistress's was leather and quite revealing; his more so than hers. He had on a pair of tight chaps and no shirt. His erect member bounced around with his dance, if it could be called that. In Brake's opinion it looked like an epileptic fish out of water. At any rate; it was amusing the drider. She let out another chilling laugh that made her barely contained breasts bounce and threaten to come free of the black cow skin brazier. her bare legs were exposed, the hard exoskeleton reflecting the low light up until they met the thong she had on; altered to accommodate for her bulbous backside. The pig saw them first, and when his eyes caught theirs; the drider looked up. The mirthful smile disappeared and she tied the leash to the throne getting up and striding over quickly. "What do you pups want? I thought all the wolves were hiding in the trees" she said coolly then she snapped to the pig who had sat down "I didn't say stop!" he immediately jumped up and continued his frantic dance "We're looking for someone" Brake said eyeing her sparse leather clothing distastefully "perhaps you know her" "perhaps." The drider said, four of her eyes narrowing "But where are my manners; I'm Brake, this is my friend Elliot." The second gave a nervous nod. The drider pursed her lips "I'm Charlotte. And that is Wilbur" she jerked a thumb at her dancer. "Who are you looking for?" "We don't know her name. But she wears a red hood. She's a human" Brake offered. "I have some humans in the barn over there. You can go through them. Why are you looking for her?" "She's been hunting and killing wolves. We're looking for some revenge." Elliot said so venomously, the drider was impressed. Brake looked at his friend in surprise. "Also would you mind telling us what happened to... well everything." Brake said. "The humans were overrunning everything. Then this crackpot old fool; Merlin, tried to do some magic to make the world a utopia. His magic overtook the land and changed everything. Humans are the last rung on the food chain now. Now... you owe me something" she said stepping over the fence easily. Both of the wolves took a step back. "We don't have anything." Brake said. "All I can promise is we won't eat all your pig." Charlotte paused before laughing again and turning back to Wilbur. "Okay swine; stop dancing and take off your clothes. Since I can't have wolf, bacon'll have to do" Brake and Elliot hurried along, not sure if she was eating him or not; and frankly neither wanted to find out. "Okay Elliot, it looks like we're relying on your memory. You remember what they look like?" the black wolf closed his eyes. He did remember. He remembered every time he slept. Little red's laughter rang in his ears as his parents life flowed from their veins. It is high pitched and resonating. And the ax man's ragged breath as he chased the wolf down; nearly catching him if not for the exposed root he tripped on. He nodded "I remember" he said through gritted teeth before walking in the barn door. They immediately covered their noses at the squalid scent that assaulted them. It was the smell of fear, sadness, desperation, sickness, and death. Also of very many overdue baths. Elliot immediately knew that little red was not here. There was definitely no one here who had a gun or Charlotte would have been dead long ago. Brake came to the same conclusion and as one they backed out and shut the door. "Not it." Elliot said pointing back at the pigpen. Brake scowled and approached. Charlotte had taken her pet inside and from the sounds coming from inside... well. At least Wilbur got to live. Although from the sound of the whip and his squeals, Brake wasn't so sure that was a good thing. "Charlotte!" he called out. There was a break in the noise and the drider strode out, nude now, not even bothering to cover her dripping vag. "What!?" she said impatiently "She wasn't there. Do you know anywhere else we could check?" "There is a small.... Town I suppose you could call it, to the west of here. It's about two hours away. Although I suggest you grab a snack from the barn. Food is scant and the townsfolk aren't the sharing type. Although if you do take one, you really must send a wolf here someday. I'd love to be knotted one day." She said winking and rubbing herself lewdly "Uh huh" Brake said retreating, just glad she hadn't demanded that that wolf be him or Elliot. He relayed the information to his friend before mention the food bit. Elliot shot a sidelong glance at the barn. "Well... at least we can put one out of their misery..." he said. The wolves had spent so long fearing a human, the thought of eating one seemed odd. 200 years ago that was normal but times have changed. Then again they appear to have changed again. "You can pick." Elliot said. "Why do I get the unpleasant jobs?" Brake grumbled covering his nose and heading back in to the barn. He grabbed the first human he found and dragged her out by the arm. She screamed inarticulately and spoke in a language the wolves didn't understand. Hell it might not have been a language she herself understood. In one quick move Elliot bit her on the jugular, turning her screams into a gurgle and then she was silent. The two looked at her, neither wanting to take the first bite. After a few moments, Brake kneeled down and stripped her of her rags and tore into her belly. Elliot gulped and sat, taking one of her supple thighs and biting into it.
The meal lasted them a while; they still weren't hungry when they arrived in the town. It was not really a town. It was more of an extended slum. The area was rimmed by tents before giving way to actual buildings. The wolves looked left and right as they wove their way between the buildings; getting a few odd looks. There were morphs everywhere, but no wolves other than them. There were a few humans walking around here and there. The humans walked like they could kick some ass. And from what charlotte had said, they needed to be able to in order to survive. Wow Brake thought they really ARE the bottom of the food chain. Elliot just frowned. "How are we supposed to find anyone in all of this?" he said quietly. Before Brake could answer, Gunshots rang out followed by screaming and laughter. Elliot froze and his ears went straight back "HER" he snarled running towards the direction. Brake, startled by his friend's sudden charge, caught up and took his friends hand "Elliot!" he said loudly yanking him towards him "what has gotten into you!?" "I don't know what you're talking about." Elliot said shortly trying to pull away but Brake held fast. "You aren't even acting like yourself. Think, if you go get her now she'll kill you" Brake said "I don't care, I'll take her with me! She killed my parents in front of me; I'll make her PAY" he said, snarling again. Brake smacked him on the side of his muzzle. Elliot's eyes widened in surprise and he yelped in pain. He flinched when the white flecked wolf grabbed him by the head but all Brake did was force him to look at his eyes as he spoke "You will never speak like that again." he said sternly "she got my family too remember? You don't see me charging into her. Besides... if you die.... I'll be alone." Elliot blinked slowly, a tear forming "But... I want to feel her breaking..." he said trailing off, unable to finish "I know. Me too. But we have to be smart about it. We're all we have left." Brake said letting go of his friends head. They stared at each other a moment more before as if on cue, they embraced, their lips meeting. After what seemed like eons, they parted, still wrapped in each other's arms and both blushing. "So no suicide missions. Deal?" "D-deal." Elliot said nodding. To be continued
