Epilogue

Naruto roused from his sleep feeling perfectly rested, his eyes blinking open to the dimly lit room, but it wasn't his room but he was perfectly familiar with it. Naruto watched Sasuke sleep, looking so peaceful and relaxed, Naruto smiled and attempted to move only to regret the attempt as a sharp pain from his rear objected to the movement.

Naruto and Sasuke groaned as the knock sounded and the door was pushed open. They knew who it was, they had hoped they would have left them alone today, they had a bad habit of walking in at exactly the wrong time.

"Come on sleepy heads! It's nearly noon, do you plan on sleeping the day away?" The curtains were thrown open, flooding the room with bright sunlight which made Naruto and Sasuke groan in pain.

"KISUKE! A little privacy please!?" Naruto whined pulling a pillow over his face to block the assaulting sunlight. Kisuke stood by the window looking down at the pair shaking his head in despair, his blond hair glowing in the sunlight, his red leather trench coat casting a reddish glow across the room as the light shone off it. Kisuke inhaled deeply and his look of despair turned into a perverted smile.

"Did you two... do it?" Kisuke asked, clapping his hands together excitedly. "Oh! Naruto! You're no longer a virgin!" He screeched excitedly, not caring when the pillow Naruto had been using as a shield hit him in the face. "I've got to tell Red!" He giggled like a school girl as he ran from the room slamming the door shut behind him. "RED! I've got something to tell you!!!" They heard the sword spirit yell as he ran down the hall.

"I'm so going to kill him!" Naruto blushed, burying his face into the crook of Sasuke's arm.

"Did you really have to materialise him?"

"If we wanted any privacy I did! Other wise he would have seen everything..."

"Guess it was the lesser of two evils." Sasuke mused a smile creeping onto his lips as he remembered the night before. His musing was ceased when he received a playful nudge from Naruto. "What?"

"I know what you're thinking about! Pervert!"

"Hey! You weren't complaining last night!" Sasuke chuckled making Naruto blush harder. "Was it good?"

"Yeah... well..." Naruto smiled with a blush before he leant forward and kissed Sasuke again. "We should get up before he comes back wanting details."

"Urgh... fine!" Sasuke grunted as he pulled the sheets away revealing their nakedness. They both climbed out of bed and headed for the ensuite bathroom to shower, just like they did every morning.

They turned on the water and spent the first couple of minutes kissing, while waiting for the water to heat up, they continued kissing when they stepped into the hot water, both of them groaning in pleasure as the water began to cascade down their bodies. "I don't know why you continue to drink that stuff! You don't even like how it tastes." Naruto commented taking a bite of his toast. Trying hard to ignore Kisuke's stare, who was leant against the counter top next to him, still wearing the same perverted smile.

"I need it."

"For what?"

"To give me enough energy to keep you satisfied." Sasuke grinned as he took another sip, receiving a bit of buttered toast to the face. Sasuke stuck out his tongue and continued to smile, a smile matched by Naruto's own as they ate and drank in silence while a perverted sword spirit continuing to watch them.

They turned as they heard foot steps enter the room, Kurama strode in, pausing for a moment as he looked up at them staring before closing his eyes and walking over to the water bowl in the corner of the room, his three tails lashing behind him in mild annoyance. In his current form Kurama was roughly the same size as Akamaru, his reddish orange fur reminding Naruto of the sky at sunset. He had made the mistake of calling him cute when he first materialised, a mistake Kurama still hadn't forgiven him for. He still felt he should be feared and respected, not be called cute. After the first few days of his materialisation, he figured he would be able to get the fear he expected by going out into village, he was met with some fearful looks but was thwarted when several children ran up to him and tried to play with him. Since then he hadn't tried to leave the house by himself, without being escorted by Kisuke or Naruto to protect him from those demon children. Part of the 'deal' was he would get materialised so long as he didn't attempt to harm any villagers, a part of the deal he was quickly regretting. With Naruto able to materialise him and de-materialise him at will, he was stuck. What made matters worse was that Naruto constantly used his chakra to materialise Kisuke as well, just when Kurama had thought he had escaped the annoying sword spirit.

"Morning Kurama." Naruto greeted him.

"I think you mean afternoon!" Kisuke corrected. "You took took so long in the shower..."

"Anyway... good afternoon Kurama!" Naruto corrected himself as he gave Kisuke a sideways glance. Kurama grunted and then sauntered from the room, back to the bedroom he had claimed as his own to bathe in the sunlight.

"He's such a grump!" Kisuke said as soon as Kurama was out of ear shot. "I told him about how you weren't a virgin any..."

"Kisuke!"

"What?"

"I'd prefer it if you didn't announce every little detail about my love life to everyone! It was bad enough when you told Sakura that time about Sasuke blowing me in the hospital!"

"Oh how she blushed! I swear she got a nose bleed!" Kisuke chuckled. "I bet that Lee fellow got some that night!"

"You are such a pervert!" Naruto huffed taking another mouthful of toast.

"Hey! I'll have you know I'm not a pervert!" Naruto and Sasuke looked at him and cocked and eyebrow in disbelief. "Okay! Fine! I'm a pervert!" Kisuke huffed, crossing his arms. "But lets see how big a pervert you are after a three hundred year dry spell!" They shook their heads and returned to ignoring him, exchanging looks as they both looked forward to the next time they got a chance to have the other naked again.

"I'll see you later, I need to hand in these reports to Lady Tsunade." Sasuke smiled as he leant in to peck Naruto on the cheek and walk towards the Hokage tower. Naruto flushed red and looked round nervously, he wasn't used to public displays of affection, but no one in the street seemed to have seen the kiss or at least didn't care that it had happened, he he couldn't help but feel that he was being watched.

"Bye Sasuke." Naruto called out after him and continued to watch him until he turned a corner and was out of sight. He began to head to the hospital, he was going to ask Sakura if she and Lee were up for going to Club Shuriken that night. The streets were busy, it was mid afternoon and the Academy had just gotten out, the streets were flooded with groups of young students happy to be free for the rest of the day. Naruto stood and watched them leave the grounds, taking a few moments to remember his time spent there. Most of it was bad, lots of Iruka yelling at him, a lot of detentions, a lot of them with Kiba, but there were some good times in there as well.

Thinking about the detentions with Kiba made Naruto think about him. He had barely seen him since they had gotten back from The Land of Waves, the few times he had Kiba looked incredibly uncomfortable and awkward around him, Kiba always finding an excuse to leave. Sakura had told him that Kiba had reverted to his old ways, bedding anyone willing to drop their pants for him. Naruto wondered how empty and lonely a life like that must be like.

"Afternoon Uzamaki."

Naruto jumped and spun round to see Hinata's father standing a few feet away. Suddenly the memories of Hinata and the events at Club Shuriken came flooding back. Naruto had thought that he was safe from the threat of assassination, he had returned from The Land of Waves over a month ago and had only left the village for two days for a simple mission, he figured if he was going to be assassinated it would have come by now, suddenly he wondered if he had been wrong.

"After noon... Lord Hyuga!" Naruto replied nervously.

"I haven't seen you since the night you took my daughter out for a date..." Naruto gulped as the pale white eyes, the trademark of the Hyuga clan, stared down at him. The ominous statement left to hang in the air like a bad smell. "Hinata has seemed... distant and distracted since that night, more than usual. She refused to talk to me or her mother about what happened." Naruto breathed a sigh of relief in his head, Hinata hadn't told anyone. "But then I hear rumours about you and your team mate, the Uchiha." Naruto felt his throat clench tightly as if death had a firm hold of it as he feared where Hiashi's conclusion was going.

"Wh-what rumours.?" Naruto squeaked.

"The rumours that you and he are... an item, a couple... what ever you want to call it. And just now I saw him kiss you. That leads me to think that what ever happened to Hinata that night was related to the two of you." Naruto knew he had no options, he couldn't lie about Sasuke, honest was the best policy... right?

"Sir... it was wrong of me... but..." Naruto felt Hiashi's eyes burn into him, he could barely maintain eye contact with him, but he had to endure. "I used Hinata..." Naruto cringed as he heard the words, they sounded worse than he intended. "I mean... I used her to see if I was..."

"Straight?" Hiashi asked, the word spoken coldly, no emotion evident in his tone. Naruto looked down at the ground in shame and nodded, closing his eyes as he awaited a fatal strike. "You took my daughter on a date to see if you were sexually interested in her?" This time the words were laced with malice, Naruto didn't open his eyes, he just nodded. "And you didn't find her sexually appealing?"

"No... I mean she's nice... I-I-I-I... mean..."

"Calm yourself Uzamaki!" Hiashi snapped, Naruto immediately falling silent and clamping his mouth shut. "I understand what you mean, and I am relieved."

"Sir?" Naruto asked unable to keep the look if disbelief from his face.

"I had feared that you had taken advantage of her, raped her or other atrocities that a father would concern himself with. But I couldn't kill you upon suspicion alone, Lady Tsunade would not tolerate such actions! I know of Hinata's affections for you, have known for many years now." Naruto was a little shocked, not only at how well Hiashi was taking the news, but at discovering that Hinata had had feelings for him for many years, much like Sasuke had; it made him feel even guiltier for the events that had transpired.

"Sir... I..."

"I understand your position Uzamaki, I had many comrades go through the same issues you did and they took similar actions, but that does not mean I appreciate the fact that you used my daughter in such away!"

"I know sir! I'm sorry sir!" Naruto bowed as low as he could, he was truly sorry for what had happened, he could only hope that Hinata could one day forgive him as well.

"I will be watching you Uzamaki, and if I discover that anything else happened than what we have discussed... I will kill you, Hokage be damned!"

"Yes Sir!!!" Naruto bowed again, the killing intent that emanated from Hiashi was unmistakable, and Naruto did not want to be in this mans cross-hairs when he went on the warpath.

"With that settled, I wish you good day, Uzamaki." Hiashi turned and strode off calmly, no one that would have looked at him would have been able to tell that he had just issued a death threat.

"Naruto?" Naruto jumped and screamed as he spun round once again in fright, only this time to see Sasuke with a worried look. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah..." Naruto sighed in relief. "Everythings just fine."

"What did Lord Hiashi want?"

"Uhh... lets just call it unfinished business, we can forget about it now." Sasuke gave him a confused look but just nodded his head.

"Did you ask Sakura?"

"No... I got held up. Come on!" Naruto smiled as he took Sasuke's hand and began to walk, Sasuke looked down and smiled, it was the first public display that Naruto had initiated himself, and while he still felt a little strange about public displays of affection, for Naruto he'd do anything.
