A little something I thought up last night, I've never done a western before and well lets just say it's different for me.I hope there are some out there who enjoy it. Lyrics stolen from Mark Collie- In Time

I Can Hear What Your Thinking

All Your Doubts And Fears And if you look in my eyes in time you'll find the reason I'm here And in time all things shall pass away In time you may come back some day To live once more Or die once more But in time your time will be no more You know your days are numbered Count them one by one

Mudlake, an aptly named little dustbowl town, in the shadows of the Rockies just west of San Antonio. Next to a lake that was long on mud and short on lake. Leading his blonde sorrel horse as he walked out of the dusty plains a tall coyote dressed in simple shirt and jeans. His spurs too dusty and gummed up to make any sound as he walked. A low slung holster on his left side, the dinted notched handle of a Colt Paterson tapping his leg lightly to the rhythm of his walking. Lifting his head and looking at the town he was surprised by how little had changed over the years.

As he wandered down the street he turned to look at a small run down shop, 'Bert's mining supplies.' Approaching slowly he lashed up his horse to the post outside, tossing a coin to a young boy, his voice was horse as he muttered, "keep an eye on Sandie... he doesn't like anyone behind him." Then he pushed open the door, pausing to look up to where a bell had once rung merrily, like the day he'd first met Jay. He couldn't help but smile at the memory.

'"Get the Clements order ready and make sure you have the McTavishes supplies delivered by sundown, or I'll take my boot to ya, you hear squirt?" A gruff St Bernard's said to a younger version of the Coyote. His younger self, barely eighteen all skin and bone. Lanky, he had been born six inches taller than he should have been, his ma had always complained, yet with no girth and hardly any muscle. He'd struggled to keep up physically with the other boys and had always come bottom in the rough and tumble.

Being an only child of a widow hadn't helped, his mother was a little too fond of him a little too protective. Children can be cruel and he had learned the hard way that there was a pecking order and he was at the bottom pecking the ants and dirt. His mother had got him this job and he'd promised her he would make her proud.

"Yes Sir, Mr Bert Sir, you can count on me," the pup replied his tail wagging as he set about his job, pulling out ropes and picks. "They must me making money paw over fist, I heard the Parkes struck gold last week."

"Oh it won't last boy, mark my words gold may bring the miners in, but it's iron that will make them stay, iron or lead." The dogs almost whispered the end of his sentence. "Now I have to go run some errands, you mind the shop and don't let me catch you dawdling or I'll take my boot to ya."

"No Sir, you don't worry Sir. I won't let you down Sir." The coyote replied still wagging his tail with enthusiasm. As the old dog left he returned to his work, reading from the list proudly, 'a man who knows his letters is a man set for big things' that's what Miss Steel the school teacher had told him. He had taken those words to heart and was determined that someday he would make a big man out of himself. As he worked he heard the bell ring and in walked his first customer.

A pony, easily as tall as him and yet broader, with some muscles on his chest, not bulky but you wouldn't want to be on the end of any punch he threw that was for sure. Blonde fur with white on his cheeks and neck, a white diamond on his forehead. The man was only a few years older than the coyote and yet he really was a man. He flashed the boy a smile, "Howdy, name's Jay, got me a claim three miles north. Need some tools to get started, I want your best prices on this list."

The coyote's heart had stopped in his chest, he'd never felt the need to chase the ladies, his ma had told him that a gentleman doesn't chase he courted. Still something inside him made him think the pony was in need of a good courting.'

"You! What are you doing back here?" An elderly dog asked standing up from behind the counter. Ten years, they had not been kind to the St Bernard. His fur was greying, his eyes were milky, his shop dusty and obviously little used.

"I have business here Bert, old business." The coyote said slamming his colt down on the counter. "Need some 36 calibre, your best price for an old employee."

"You'll only find trouble here," quavered the dog as he pulled out a few boxes of shells. The coyote felt a pang of sympathy, he wasn't a bad guy and he deserved better than to live out his days in this run down shop. "I'm sorry about what happened, but, people have moved on,this is a good town now, they are talking of setting up a railway station. You'll see iron it'll make the difference make this place thrive. Like I always said."

Tossing a coin or two on the counter the yote opened the first box and started to reload his empty gun. As he slammed it shut again he muttered, "Iron or_ lead_, now if you'll excuse me I have some old friends to pay my respects to."

The stranger turned and headed out hearing the old man muttering as he left. He walked out to the street he could see the old inn an saloon not far off. He'd never really been welcome there but, just like every other young man, he'd been drawn to the place.

'"Heya Stretch, finally got loose from you mammy's apron strings?" Sneered a young Jackal as the Coyote entered, he blushed a little and walked over to the bar quickly.

"Beer please," he muttered to the bruin barkeep O'Neil who took his coin without question and pulled him a beer.

Jonas the Jackal, his schoolyard bully turned adult tormentor. Always one step ahead always ready with a put down and sometimes a fist or two. He'd received many a beating at the paws of Jonas and his two friends, Burt and Kyle a rhino and bull respectively, now grown up they were working as farm hands while saving up to stake their own claim. The jackal wouldn't leave the yote alone until he got some kind of rise out of him, every time he made the yote hit first so it was always self defence.

"Beer? I thought you liked milk, right from your mama's teat, isn't that right boys." Sniggered the jackal and then he added, "Hey Burt you supped her milk once, how rancid was it?"

The yote almost dropped his beer and his paws began to shake with rage, just as he was about to turn there was the sound of a chair pulling back. He turned to see the pony from the store standing up, "boy's I came here to drink in peace, ya'll better run along now before I decide that I've had enough of being peaceable and decide it's time to get rowdy."'

Untying the reins he began to lead his horse down to the stables the yote walked over to it and nodded at the owner, tossing his a coin, room and board for his horse, "Don't give him no oats, they gives him gas. Apples, if you got em, he can have one."

The horse running the stables twisted his face a little, "do I know you Sir, you have a familiar face?"

"I hail from these parts, but I have been away ten years, exactly." The yote replied leading his horse into the stables. It was in here everything had changed, his world had become the most amazing place.

'"Mmmm you have the cutest smile," Jay muttered as he pulled the yote close against his chest. The horse nuzzled his lips and kissed him tenderly, his strong arms slipping around the canine holding his against the equines strong body. The boy had jumped almost out of his fur the first time that the horse had called him attractive. However, after a few weeks the boy had learned to like it and now he melted against the warm lips and strong embrace. "You come visit me tonight, see my claim, it gets so lonely out there and we won't have to worry about us getting caught." He had noticed the yote looking around the stables waiting every moment for someone to see their secret liaison

"But my Ma...," The boy started breathless and yet despite his words he desperately wanted to be no-where but in the arms of his lover.

"Just put a little tot of whiskey in her tea and she'll nod off to sleep. She won't ever know." The horse whispered nuzzling his neck, nipping him and making him moan. God, he loved the feel of the pony against him and he so desperately wanted to go out that night.

"Ok... I'll come, tonight. I've been thinking and... " The yote paused and looked up at the pony with hopeful eyes. "I want to try with you. I mean, I want you and you're gonna be rich when you strike gold, maybe we could buy a homestead or something together."

"Well that sounds like a plan my cute little coyote." The horse replied and then stole another kiss, enjoying the feel of those warm lips and tongue for a moment longer.'

Leaving his pony in a stall, giving his head a gentle stroke he wandered out into the street again. He had a few more stops to make before the end of the day. Memories flooded him more strongly than they had ever done these last ten years. Blinking in the dusky light the yote felt a tear rolling down his cheeks. All the rivers he had cried the last ten years he was shocked to see that his body was capable of producing any more tears. Still one night, they had been tears of joy.

'Warm lights and paws, embracing one another as two young nubile naked bodies rolled in a tiny tent. The night outside lit only by the stars as the young excited canine broke the kiss. "I... I'm ready." He whispered as he leaned close to kiss the horses neck, loving the taste of leather and sweat with just a hint of musk. He ran his tongue down slowly, running through the grime and dust but nothing would put him off this body. The boy burned for this male, he loved him with a passion greater than he knew he could ever love anything.

Finding a pert nipple he sucked on it lightly, earning him a soft whinny, a delightful musical sound joyfully received by his ears. He nipped lightly with his lips just to hear the sound again and then he lowered his head slowly until he nuzzled down the white abs, his tongue diving into the sexy navel, lapping up his mate's taste. Then on to the target of his desire, he'd played with this treat many times now, over the months they had met in secret. People had started to talk about them, but he didn't care anymore, he was in love and what did man or god have any right to come between them.

He took hold of the twelve inch equine phallus in front of his eyes, his fingers tracing over the medial ring as his tongue lapped out to circle the huge flare. The taste, hot sweaty man meat, musky with arousal. He moaned deeply and swallowed the flavour, one of his paws slipping down onto two huge leathery orbs, feeling the sweat soaking his fingertips and wishing he could nuzzle into them again. However, today he had other plans, today was a day he had been preparing his body for weeks to enjoy.

Kissing the musky tip the yote smiled up at Jay, "I so want to suck you dry, maybe afterwards." The horse neighed in pleasure at the thought and nodded his enthusiastic agreement, stamping his hooves lightly with impatience. The canine grabbed a small bottle and pulled the cork, olive oil from Europe expensive and fancy, he'd stolen it from the store earlier that day. He poured it over the giant flare hearing a guttural moan from the pony, a sound of pure animal lust.

Trembling excited paws worked over the shaft, the tent filling with the obscene slurping sounds of a paw working a fully greased cock. His heart pounding so hard in his chest he feared it would burst out and run away, the yote turned away, exposing his scrawny ass, his body still lithe and thin, his tail wagging slightly.

Jay rolled over him, laying full body above the canine, he nuzzled gently into the boy's neck whispering, "I'll be gentle, you tell me to stop and I will stop. I... I love you."

"I love you to Jay and I want you, please take me, make me yours." The yote replied his voice trembling but his heart strong and his words pure.

"You are already mine and I yours my sweet." The pony replied as he thrust gently, his huge flare running up the yote's taint until it reached his pucker, the yote gasped and clawed at the blanket at the feeling. Bracing himself and tensing in his inexperience. The pony rocked his hips lightly his flare kissing the boy's pucker over and over each time a little deeper.

The canine moaned and pushed back a little into each thrust, enjoying the pressure back there and wanting so desperately to feel more. Then with an extra hard thrust the pony suddenly pushed and was inside him, pain blossomed in his mind, he cried out, gentle pony paws calmed him, hoof fingers running through his brown fur as the pony whispered gentle words of loving encouragement.

After a few deep breaths the pain began to fade and the pony began the thrust again, slowly he worked, nipping the yote's neck, kissing his shoulders. His hot studly body slowly grinding against the canine's. They danced in carnal bliss, the pain fading slowly as the pony eventually hilted inside him, his huge leathery nuts resting against the yote's pert buttocks.

Whispering of his pride in the yote, the pony's paw slipped under the canine to find an excited and fully erect drooling canine cock. He had grown to love the yote and he knew every last detail of the cock he was stroking blindly. He rocked his hips, moaning at the feeling of the ass around him, the canines ass seemed hungry it sucked his cock back in each time he pulled back. The feelings and sensations surrounding his meat were unmatched by anything he had ever felt.

"Oh Jay!" Exclaimed the yote as the horse gave his first real thrust, the sound of his leathery orbs smacking off the canine's taint surprisingly loud in the tiny tent. The horse lightly bit down on the yote's shoulder, rocking his hips faster and faster, his paw stroking faster. The two lost themselves in each other, their bodies becoming one in the night, their gasps and moans of pleasure music to each others ears. Their enthusiasm growing with each passing moment, the horse rutting faster and harder, the yote pushing back, moaning and begging for more.

Jay grasped him tightly and stroked his cock faster and faster, he lost control and lifted his head back, howling out into the night as his cock throbbed. He soaked the blanket beneath him with jet after jet of canine seed. The horse couldn't control himself as the yote's ass milked his cock powerfully he whinnied out into the night, lending his voice to the canines howl as he pumped the boy full of his potent equine seed.'

Tears streamed down his face as he walked over to a tree, the hanging tree. It was here that it had all ended, his life had been taken here. This is where Jay had left him alone in the cold world. He turned away from it and started making his way towards the sheriff's office. There had been a lynching and maybe it was ten years late but someone had finally come to report it.

He walked up to the office and knocked on the door, a few seconds later it opened and he looked into the eyes of an old enemy. A rhino, even heavier than he had been back then, his dumb eyes holding no small trace of malice, his deputy badge covered in grime told of many meals without a polish. "What'd you want?"

"I've come to see the Sherriff, I'm here to report a crime." The yote replied calmly, noting that his old school chum hadn't noticed who he was.

"He's in the saloon, but ya could tell me." The rhino rumbled waving him into the office.

"No, this is for the Sheriff, it's a murder." The yote replied evenly and then added, "Why don't you lead the way?"

They walked back past the tree, the hanging tree and he couldn't stop the tears as he remembered that night.

'"String them up!" Jonas had squealed in pleasure, he'd caught them kissing in the stables and had told everyone. The lynch mob had formed within minutes as everyone heard of the devil in their midst. The panda Reverend Smitts working the crowd up into a heated frenzy. The two unarmed unprepared young men hadn't had a chance. They had been beaten tied up and dragged through the streets. Jay and he had screamed, kicked and fought trying to get away. The mob had kicked and beaten them into submission.

Blood filled the yote's mouth as he felt a rope going around his neck. He had stopped struggling, he turned his head to see Jay, tears in his eyes. For a moment their eyes locked and he knew that neither of them would take it back. If this was the price of their love he would pay it gladly and if the lord himself offered him heaven to turn away from Jay. He would spit in Jesus' eye and walk gladly into hell. Reaching out his paw he tried desperately to take the hand of his lover.

A cry had ran out, his mother a weeping mess crawling at the Reverend's feet begging for her son's life. He was a good boy, he had been lead astray by the stranger. He shook his head, he screamed it wasn't true. However, the Panda decided to show pity and he felt the rope around his neck being removed. He was dragged away and held down, where he watched. He watched the pony as he dropped, as he kicked and struggled, until he hung limp and lifeless.

++

The Rhino walked in front of him and over to the saloon. Inside he found Sheriff Jonas standing at the bar with a drink in his paw. The yote smiled for the first time that day as he saw the Panda reverend, enjoying his retirement with a little sin, sitting at a table nearby with a whiskey in his paw. That would save him the trouble of hunting him down.

"Hey Jonas, this guy say's he needs to report a murder." The rhino shouted and every eye turned to the yote. He took off his hat and he heard the Jackal gasp. He was quick of mind enough to guess what was going to happen but not quick enough on the draw to beat the yote. The barmaids screamed as the sheriff's chest exploded with crimson fluids.

The panda didn't even get halfway out of his chair before a bullet gave his closed mind a much needed breath of fresh air.

The rhino managed to get off a shot catching the yote in the stomach, before he took a bullet to the chest and went crashing out of the doors. The gun drooping out of the yote's paw, suddenly too weak to hold it. The yote slipped to his knees, he heard a gun being cocked and glanced up to see a bull with a rifle and a deputy badge advancing on him. He looked into the bull's eyes and grinned, for a moment, then slumped forward lifeless. The bull walked over and carefully poked his corpse rifle at the ready just in case.

However, life had gone from the coyote, he was buried in a grave with no name, marked only in the minds of those that knew him. No-one in town wanted to remember him. Some for what he had done, others for what they had let happen.

You know your days are numbered, count them one by one

Like knotches in the handle of an outlaws gun You can out run the devil if you try But you'll never outrun the hands of time And in time there shirly comes a day And in time all things shall pass away And in time you'll come back, some say To live once more Or die once more But in time your time will be no more I can hear what your thinking
