Scales of Colour
A short poem I wrote out during a nice lazy Wednesday. Enjoy folks!
Dragons
of every colour and scale
Unto
I say to thee
Spread
your wing, cry out a hail
And
listen to my decree
Copper
scales from distant isles
Show
wisdom and resolve
For
their knowledge travels miles
And
makes dragon-kind evolve
Silver
scales I speak now to
As
they are true and just
For
they not care on what or who
And
are ones you can always trust
Red,
O red. The glorious reds.
Proud
and playful are thee
Their
joyful demeanour tends to spread
Giving
all around them much glee
Of
all the scales that cover our world
The
most wise tend to be green.
Every
problem by their thought, is unfurled
And
always improve the scene
The
mysterious and elusive kind
I
refer to of course the blue
Quiet,
curious but bear in mind
They
are a mischievous few
Whenever
you need a healing lick
You
need not look astray
If
you need a helpful paw quick
Look
no further than a Gray.
All
dragons however are the same
and
through our trouble and strife
We
all chant while we still have flame;
Hail
Fire, Hail Scales, Hail Life!
