Shere Kahn's Revenge: The Wrath of Kahn
....This story takes place in the jungle but the title character is not a panther or his mate a lovely brown wolf. But rather a tiger, a huge ravenous tiger who was covertly stalking a human boy:
_Carefully and patiently the tiger followed the boy at a distance watching his prey's every move. Just enough to know what direction the boy was walking- traveling and being very careful not to be seen. _
The boy seemed to be about eleven years old. He was cooper skinned and thin with a small frame. His hair was black and he wore nothing save for a yellow loin cloth that covered his unmentionables. He was strolling through the jungle looking for fruit from near by trees- it appeared he wanted a quick snack before returning to his playmates- he was completely unawares that someone else was stalking him, intent on making him a snack.
_The boy sat at the base of a tall tree to eat a few mangos he had found. Unaware that high above him in that tree a large cat loomed over him ready to make his move. _
_The tiger leaped from the tree landing right smack onto the boy. The boy went from a sitting position to lying face down on the jungle ground with the full weight of the hungry tiger on his back! _
_"At last I have you Mowgli! You are mine!" the tiger growled at the frightened jungle boy who screamed. _
_The jungle boy attempted to yell out for help. But the tiger was quicker. He knew he had to silence the boy or his meal would be interrupted by the boy's protectors. As the boy attempted to open his mouth, the tiger did the same. He clamped down on the boy's neck, lurched it and then broke it. Mowgli was dead. _
_Raising his head triumphantly the tiger began to feed on his snack- his meal of jungle boy which he had longed for, for some time. _
As the tiger started to gorge himself crazy, a small jackal approached. It sat down beside the fierce tiger patiently awaiting its turn for maybe a scrap of meat or bone. The creature suddenly turned its attention back to the tiger who started swearing.
"What the hell is this?! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Son of a bitch!!" The tiger growled.
"Something wrong master?!" The jackal asked.
"The world is quite unfair Tabaqui! I have spent years hunting this man-cub- stalking him and tracking him. It took considerable time and planning to lure him away from his wolf family, that fool panther and his bear friend. It all lead up to today and my magnificent ambush! I finally killed Mowgli the wolfboy! I finally got him after all this time! The world is so damn unfair!"
"Master what are you getting at?" The jackal asked confused.
"Tabaqui- he tastes awful! Like something you vomited!" The tiger said as he stormed off disgusted.
After the tiger had walked off, the Jackal approached the remains of the jungle boy and started feeding. "It's not so bad master." The jackal called out to the tiger. "He tastes like chicken!"
