Xavier POV

Xavier climbed into the driver seat of the camaro and sat down as Jamie did the same. Closing his door he plugged the key into the ignition and quickly buckled himself in, Jamie looked around the car and took in the subwoofers in the back. "Those are some really nice subs..." He quietly said, Xavier looked back to the subs then forward to the front of the car. "Hey I have to have something to rival the engine noise of this beast." He said as he revved the engine then pulled away from the sidewalk. Driving down the street Xavier again couldn't help but to notice how cute Jamie looked, his eyes seemed to sparkle even more than usual in the twilight, and his cute little muzzle looked so-"um you just ran a red light." Jamie softy said, as Xavier snapped his eyes back to the street, "oh sorry," Xavier apologized, "I was, distracted...." Jamie thought this over for a second,"does he really think I'm that cute?" Jamie's heart leapt at this thought, before it quickly fell to another thought, "or is he saying I'm a distraction...?" Jamie sank down in his seat a distraught look on his face, Xavier noticed this and quickly tried to think of something to cheer him up. "Hey I'm guessing since you admired the subs you like dubstep techno and the like?" Jamie nodded in answer to Xavier's question. "Ok well I know we're going to a club to listen to music and to dance but what do you say we listen to some now? Jamie sat back up in his seat obviously happy with the idea, "ya-yah that sounds like a great idea, what do you have?" Xavier smiled to himself, it made him extremely happy that he could cheer Jamie up, he handed him his phone and told him to choose from the music there. Jamie looked through the list for a little before selecting LRAD by knife party. Xavier reached forward and cranked the volume and the bass, after that the drive just seemed to pass right by.

Adams POV 10 min later

"Where the hell are they?" Adam asked aloud but to no one in particular. "It's past 8:00, they're probably fucking in Jamie's apartment. I knew it, I told Xavier but did he listen nnnnooooo." Georgia stood smirking at Adams behavior, "you know it sounds like someone is jealous to me." She said, Adam turned and looked at her. He tried to give her a look that would deny this but it was obviously true by his eyes. "Aaaawwww my poor little Adam is jealous." Georgia said as she walked over and hugged his stomach, it being the only thing she could reach on him. Adam had just started to return the hug when, even though they were still a few blocks away, he started to hear a loud engine and a bass beat that was rivaling even the one that was coming out of the club.

Xavier POV

Xavier pulled into the parking lot and next to a small blue car that belonged to Georgia, Jamie got out of the car as Xavier pulled the keys then followed. They walked to the front of the club where Adam and Georgia were still embracing and staring at Jamie and Xavier. "Well took you long enough, have a little more fun then you were counting on?" Adam asked sensually, "Adam, shut up." Xavier said while Jamie just stood blushing. Xavier turned to Jamie and said, "Jamie this is my asshole friend Adam, and his girlfriend Georgia." "It's a pleasure to meet you." Georgia said, "yah a pleasure..." Adam added. The four stood there awkwardly as a few people moved past them and into the club. Finally when the you could practically feel the awkward in the air Xavier said, "well what are we standing around for let's go inside." The other 3 muttered words of agreement and they all moved inside.

Inside The New Fursona

The New Fursona was set up interestingly, directly across from them on the other side of the open room was a raised platform with a DJ on it who was currently playing some softer music but hadn't started anything big yet, there was a balcony over the sides of the room and tables underneath it, then in the back right corner there were stairs leading up to, Xavier guessed, a place to get drinks. Xavier's scanning of the room was interrupted by a medium height cat walking over to them. She had a green fur with very blue yes "Hello, and welcome to The New Fursona." She spoke in a clear feminine voice. "Cover charge is $20 per person, and we have masks over here for you after you pay." Everyone was startled by this but Adam was the first to speak, "what do you mean masks?" The cat laughed at this and said, " I was assuming you knew since you chose this club, we here at The New Fursona want everyone to try being someone else, to be able to cut loose and do what you normally wouldn't. To have fun and not have to worry about being known, so everyone who comes in gets a mask of another species, it's completely random what you get, and you don't have to wear it if you have trouble breathing or start to overheat but it is recommended." The group stood there and took in the words, "Hey sounds good to me," Xavier said. "Everyone else good?" Jamie, Adam, and Georgia all nodded in the affirmative. "This may actually be better," Jamie thought. "I don't have to worry about people looking at me." Xavier pulled out his wallet and said, "I'm paying for everyone tonight." "Okay thanks bro." Adam said as he grabbed Georgia's arm and pulled her over to get their masks. "Have fun you two!" She called back over her shoulder. "You don't have to do that." Jamie said from behind him, "I have my own money." "Nah it's ok," Xavier responded. "I got plenty." With a smile he finished paying the cat then walked over with Jamie to a counter with a tired looking squirrel behind it. He looked at both Jamie and Xavier with bleary eyed, then reached behind him and pulled out a dog mask with golden colored hair and a dog mask with black and white spotted hair. Xavier thanked the man and took both of the masks, "which one do you want?" He asked Jamie, Jamie thought it over and gently took the golden mask from Xavier. Jamie watched as Xavier slipped on the spotted mask, then did the same with his. "Let's find Adam and Georgia." Xavier said from behind his mask. "But I want to hang out with just you." Jamie thought, "wait...do I really want to hang out with someone alone?" The thought seemed to shock him, he had never wanted to do that before. Instead of saying what he thought though he just nodded and followed Xavier. Even though he was wearing a mask Xavier easily spotted Adam, standing next to Georgia and towering over her. Georgia was wearing a mask of a Siamese cat, and Adam was wearing a...oh damn. "Derp derp, look at me I'm Xavier." Adam said from behind the horse mask, "haha you're so funny you made me bust a fucking gut." Xavier said as e smacked Adam playfully, but firmly, across the face. "Ow!" Adam said, as he rubbed his face in mock pain. "Stop it you two." Georgia said, "lets get out on the floor and dance." "Yes mam..." Adam and Xavier said at the same time. Jamie just stood, watching and laughing. At that moment the lights in the club went off and colored strobe lights turned on as the opening beat of Execute by Excision started to play. Xavier reached down and grabbed Jamie's hand as Georgia and Adam ran off to the floor. "Ready to dance?" Xavier asked softly and kindly. "Ye-Yes." Was all Jamie was able to say. Xavier gently led him onto the floor where they both started to jump to the rising beat, at the drop they both jumped in the air and landed hard with the rest of the club. Jamie's and Xavier's hearts were both beating a mile a minute and getting faster and faster as song after song continued to play and they started to focus on the club and other people less and less...and each other more and more. "Every time the light hits his sweaty muscles I swear my heart skips a beat." Jamie thought, "I swear if he flicks that beautiful tail of his like that again I may not be able to stop myself from jumping his bones right here and now." They slowly moved closer and closer until they were eventually dancing just about on each other. Everything seemed to be going great, better than great but it was in the middle of Sleepless - Loadstar remix. That everything fell to hell. "Hey sexy, why don't you dance with a real man!" These words invaded Xavier's mind like a parasite instantly seeming to ignite his temper, both Jamie and Xavier stopped dancing and saw a group of people standing next to them, led in the front by a very ugly looking bird. Xavier quickly took off his mask and Jamie did the same but hid behind fluffy tail. "Oh well look who it is, it's that ugly horse with the awesome car." The bird turned to look at Jamie and a look of disgust crossed his face. "Ew, and he's with that ugly fox from our building, sorry I thought you were a chick." Xavier looked over at Jamie and saw how the words obviously hurt him, his mind was cracking from sheer rage as he looked back to the bird. "Why don't you...take back those words....and I'll only hurt you a little...I promise." "Oh yah and who is going to stop us? You?" A particularly ugly pitbull said as he stepped forward and pushed Xavier in the chest. "And me!" Adams voice came from next to Xavier as a fish seemed to come from nowhere and take the dog hard in the throat. The dog dropped and that's when all hell did break loose. The group started to advance on Xavier and Adam as Georgia grabbed Jamie and pulled him away with her. "Wait no he's going to get hurt!" Jamie called as Georgia and him retreated to a watching distance. Xavier and Adam both cracked their knuckles and stood completely calm as the group walked towards them. "Let's teach these young kids some manners." Adam said, "Save the horse he's mine." The bird said, "the rest of you take the wolf." By this point everyone around the group had stepped away forming a small arena around the fight. Two dogs and what looked like a shark stepped towards Adam and the bird walked towards Xavier. The bird swung quickly and Xavier not expecting the punch took it hard in the solar plexus, the doubled over and the next punch caught him across the face. He fell onto his knees and the bird wanting to finish the fight went to bring his foot down on Xavier, who caught it and flipped him over himself backwards. Xavier stood up and said to the bird. "Get the fuck up, unlike you I don't hit guys when they're down." The bird roared in rage and launched himself at Xavier, who quickly sidestepped and kicked the bird hard in the face as he launched past him. The bird sprawled on the ground, out cold. Xavier looked over to see Adam slam the dogs heads into each other and then drop them onto the shark. "Tsk tsk tsk." He said, I got 3 you only got 1. "HEY!" Georgia yelled, Xavier turned to see the bird punch Georgia in the face trying to get to Jamie, Georgia fell and Jamie reached forward and raked his claws across the birds face, the bird screamed in pain and punched Jamie hard in the skull also dropping him. Xavier's mind snapped, if he was mad before he was some evolved form of mad now. He crossed the distance between the bird and him in seemingly one step, the light seemed to go out of the birds eyes as he saw the wrath flowing from Xavier's. hard would not begin to describe how Xavier hit the bird. He brought his fist down in an arc cracking the birds beak and shattering two of his own fingers. Ignoring the pain he grabbed the bird by the throat and picked him up off the ground then driving his elbow into the top of the birds head he dropped him again. Adam ran over to Xavier and tried to grab his arm, DUDE STOP YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM!" Adam yelled at him, Xavier turned and kicked Adam hard in the chest knocking him backwards, he grabbed the bird by the throat and started to pick him up again when he heard a voice, "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?" It loudly asked, Xavier turned to see a buff red dog with security on his shirt standing and looking at him. "Well!?!" The dog asked, Xavier looked at the broken and bleeding animal in his fist and he dropped him on the ground. "He attacked me and my boyfriend while we were dancing." Xavier said, Adam puffed out some air in agreement since he had not gotten his breath back. "Is that true?" The dog asked to the group of people standing around, they all agreed and the dog looked at the animals in a pile next to Adam, then to the bird. Adam stood up and walked over to Georgia. "JAMIE!" Xavier's mind snapped with the thought, Xavier stepped over the bird who tried to grab his ankle, but Xavier didn't notice. He walked over to Jamie and gently picked him up and cradled his body. His breath was coming out soft and even and he had a bit of blood coming down his forehead. "Oh you poor baby," Xavier whispered. "This is all my fault..." Other security guards showed up and carried away the dogs and the shark leaving just the broken bird. The nice security guard, whose name turned out to be Isaiah called an ambulance for them since they hadn't remained unscathed. Tears were running down Xavier's face as he cradled Jamie not letting anyone touch him, him being distracted he didn't notice the form slowly crawling towards him. All of a sudden the bird stood up and pulled a switchblade, "DIE YOU FUCKER!" He said as he lunged or Xavier's throat, until his arm was grabbed by Isaiah and broken backwards, stabbing the knife into the birds own chest. "STUPID FUCKER YOU SHOULD'VE STAYED DOWN!" Isaiah said as he dropped the body onto the ground. Xavier felt burned, his mind was cooked. He had just watched someone die and it didn't affect him. All that mattered was holding Jamie, and that's all he did until the ambulance arrived.
