Jonko and Axel sang along in almost a subconscious trance as Jonko drove the five of us down the dirt road. I sat down beside my master in the back of the van with both him and Lucy listening to the duet the brothers had going on up front.

" Alpha." I looked up to the Lucario who was accompanying us.

" *Yes Lucy?" * Axel called from the passenger seat.

" *What is this mission you have for me?" * Lucy asked the giant Lucario.

" *Simple, I need you to be on the lookout for Diyablo." * I darted my head towards the front seat.

"What in the world do you expect her to do if he shows up?" Jonko snorted.

" *Alert me so I can get everyone out of the shit storm that will occur when you and him try to kill one another again." * Lucy and I both gasped and looked towards Jonko.

"...Yes, that may be a wise thing then." Jonko said as he silenced the radio.

" *So, the rumor that you and Diyablo are planning to kill each other is true." * I snapped my head to my master's as he crossed his arms and leaned back into the seat.

"Diyablo and I cannot both live Darkrai." I looked back to my friend. He sagged in his seat slightly and seemed as though he lost all his strength.

" Says who? You have managed a peaceful coexistence for this long-" Jonko suddenly laughed, interrupting Darkrai.

"Peaceful? Darkrai, you know nothing of my pain." I saw his eyes flash in the mirror, "We'll discuss this later in my nightmares." An uncomfortable silence filled the van for the next few minutes as Jonko navigated the rough road.

" *Um Alpha," * Lucy called out. Axel, rather than respond, moved from his seat and sat next to her and smiled. *"So all I am here for is as a look out?" * Axel let out a bark like laugh.

" And for some special training." ** Axel nodded his head to the cab, **"You can give me a run for my money when you decide to go all out, and Jonko up there is the only one who has bested Diyablo."

" *What?!" * I asked shocked. Jonko laughed as Axel grinned madly at me.

" What part surprised you?" Axel turned back to Lucy before I could respond, "So, depending on what happens, you going to be training with him and Miss Flo."

" *Flo?" * My master asked, mild surprise in his voice.

"She is traveling with me Darkrai, I fully intend to help her be a match for your champions at the very least." I looked over to Jonko, "After all, I did agree to help her evolve in return for her help in beating the Elite Four, and if she's to stand a chance against them," Jonko stopped the large van then looked back to me with a smile, "Then you're going to be sparing with me sometimes."

" *Then when can we start?" * Lucy asked, standing up and rubbing her paws together. Jonko laughed.

"Ready to beat a trainer's ass then I take it?" Jonko popped his door open. Lucy quickly darted to the ambulance doors and threw them open. As she jumped out and started towards the middle of the dirt trail, I quickly followed her out and stood by the doors.

" If what Alpha says about you is true, then defeating you will help me in my quest." She said as we watched him stand facing down the way we were going.

" Something wrong Jonko?" I heard Darkrai ask as he stepped up behind me.

====JONKO====

"_There it is again." _I frowned.

"Brother?" I looked back slightly as Axel called me.

"It's nothing, everyone back in, were moving out." I slid back into my seat, ignoring the odd pull I felt.

=====TIME=====

" And no one ever found out that Lucifer was to one who smashed Prime Minister Lance's car" Axel laughed.

"I still wonder who was behind that assassination attempt." I chuckled as I pulled out onto the East Nine-O-Six before mashing the gas.

" It had to have been the third incarnation of Team Rocket. They were on a mission to eliminate all connections to the previous two." ** Axel said, **"And he hasn't been too popular in Kanto since he came out of the closet with his Dragonite boyfriend."

"While that's all true," I nodded, "it doesn't explain the methods they used. The Third focused almost solely on subtle plans that lead up to massive destruction. That attempt was too direct and small for them."

"Bah, you're still not on that idea it was THEM that attacked an aggressive fighter for our rights in Kanto." Axel switched back to the Regamas' dialect as he scolded me. Before I could respond to him however,

" *Lucy and Flo are asleep now." * Darkrai announced. *"Now explain how you two intend to complete your mission." * I glanced at him standing in the rear view mirror and smirked.

"I don't have a damned clue how I'm going to find the source of their power."

" Don't bother asking what I'm goanna do, I won't say anything apart from I hope my girl still has that tank." I looked at Axel as his lips curled up in his deadly smile I knew all too well.

" You mean you two-"

"The mission you gave me is NOT the mission Axel is on." I said annoyed.

" *And never will I work for the Council or any of your pets." * Axel growled.

"On top of that we are both professionals Darkrai, as much as I want to change it is what we are."

" *We answer only to one another, and the dead." * Axel finished for us, as we both fell silent. Darkrai sighed heavily, but let the subject drop. I glanced up to see him sitting down by Flo, the cute little Zorua seemed to almost gravitate to her 'Master' in her sleep.

"So, how long has Flo served you?" I asked, honestly curious to know how such a youngling was connected to a council member.

" Flo's parents were part of the Shadow Reapers. Her mother a tenth generation loyalist, her father a companion for one of those traitors." ** Darkrai sighed, **"The trainer tried to convince her mother to join them... she refused and fought back."

" *I take it Flo's mother won?" * Axel asked.

" Kind of." ** I glanced up at the mirror as I heard Flo's voice. She still laid curled up besides Darkrai, but was no longer asleep. **"Momma didn't want to hurt Shade or Maxwell, my dad and his trainer." She sniffed.

"Flo, dry your tears and hold your tongue." I slowed the van for the turn up ahead. "If it hurts you to talk about it, then don't."

" *Aye, if there's one thing we understand, its pain." * Axel sighed sadly. As we turned onto the Nine-O-Five I stopped the van at the scene before us.

Several dozen vehicles sat parked in a haphazard array around the edge of the road. A few humans and Pokémon wandered between them, some stumbling and others supporting them. Rolling down the window, we were able to hear the faint sound of music coming from roughly the center of where the cars were parked.

"Sisilia's auto shop is still at the Five E Six junction right?" I turned my head to Axel. He leaned forward with his ears up and twitching like a radar dish.

"Oh yeah," he smiled, "Lucy! On your feet! Hey Flo, ever been to a concert?"

" *No." * I responded as Lucy jerked awake.

" *Alpha!" * The Lucario started to get to her feet when Jonko began to move the van forward again. Axel chuckled lightly.

" Then you're in for a treat, come up here right quick,' Axel pointed to a spot between two cars as I made my way to his side, *"Lucy, stay with Jonko for a bit." * I hopped up to the center console and started to sit back down when Axel grabbed me and pulled me to his stomach. All I could see was the black vest he wore as I heard a door open.

"Don't hurt my partner now!" I heard Jonko laugh as Axel's body made several sudden sharp movements as though we...

" Did you just jump out of the van WITH ME?!" I shouted as I fell away from Axel and on to dirt.

" How else do you expect to get a good seat?" ** Axel laughed, **"Come on, sooner we get to Sisilia the better." Axel rolled to his feet and began to walk towards the music. Giving up the argument, for now, I chose to follow after him. As we got closer, the song ended but was quickly replaced by another. The song started up slowly, the guitars sounding almost like they were trying to imitate bagpipes at first, then they switched to a heavier rhythm as the drum kicked in. after a few seconds of the new rhythm, the singer jumped in.

The singer's voice sounded dry and horse, not quite like his throat was sore from the probably hours of singing, but like he was forcing himself to sound that way.

I stumbled at how deep and dark the singer's voice became at those last four lines. Axel turned back and looked down at me.

" *You good there?" * He smirked, I just nodded and picked up speed, listening to the music.

"One, two, buckle my shoe

Three, four, shut the door

Five, six, pick up sticks

Seven, eight, lay them straight"

Combined with the heavy instrumental and the harsh voice the spin on the old nursery rhymes was very well done. We reached the crowd swarming the stage as a Pikachu leaned back and relaxed up by the mic.

" *Gotta say, that Pikachu sure can sing." * I looked up to Axel as he gestured to the Pikachu as it leaned forward and violently grabbed the mic.

They Pikachu sang aggressively as a human guitarist sang the chorus with a cold, harsh voice. The two were almost incomprehensible, but seemed to know who was saying what.

The guitarist suddenly shut up as the Pikachu suddenly sang in a calmer tone, but still harsh enough for the song.

"Ring around the roses

The Pikachu suddenly leaned the mic forward and sang aggressively once again.

"Nick knack paddy whack, give a dog a bone

The singer suddenly released the mic and backed up, its arms raising up and out to the sides. As it did so the crowd roared and cheered, I almost couldn't help but add my voice to theirs. However, it was at that point that I realized Axel was no longer in front of me. I looked at the crowd before me, hoping to spot Axel's legs due to my height, but I quickly realized that there were several other Lucario's in the group. I started to whimper and back up until I felt my hind left leg bump into someone's boot.

"Get distracted by the music Flo?" I heard the familiar voice of Jonko, and turned to see who I backed into. Sure enough, he stood over me with his smirk lighting up his face, behind him stood Lucy. "Come on, Sis will want to meet at the shop." Without asking, Jonko reached down and gently gripped the scruff of my neck before lifting me to his shoulder.

"Thank you all!" A soft masculine voice far from the previous singer's called out from the speakers. Looking back to the stage, I was surprised to see the same Pikachu at the mic once more. "We have time to do one more song and since the boss lady requested this one personally..."

"No way..." I looked at Jonko's face to see his whole face light up.

" *What song are they going to play?" * Lucy asked, her tone making it clear she wasn't as excited as Jonko or Axel were. Before he could answer,

"I give you... Drowning Pool's BODIES!" The crowd roared as the band the band started to play.

=====TIME=====

Jonko sang along with the band as he led the way to the back of the stage. When we arrived to the front of the crowd by the stage we found Axel standing next to the stage. Jonko tapped the base of his skull and Axel mealy turned to the back of the stage and motion for us to follow. By the time the song ended, we reached the large warehouse that sat behind a short distance from the stage.

"Welcome to the Dragon's Garage!" We were greeted by a young man as we entered. I ignored him in favor for the unique decor.

Hanging from the cross beams by sturdy looking chains where several parts from various vehicles and even an actual tow truck that hung over the main desk. Much of the room we were in was taken up by low shelves with a collection of small parts and specialty tools. Jonko and Axel walked next to one another on the way to the main desk while I continued to look over the room.

"Hello, me Lulu." I looked towards the main desk where a female Scrafty looked climbed up onto a stool in front of us. "How help?"

" *We're looking for your boss, Sisilia." * The Scarfty, Lulu, tilted her head and looked uncomfortable, *"Just tell her the swordsman and marksman are here, she'll forgive any intrusion." * Lulu frowned but slowly got out of her seat and headed towards a door behind her. As soon as she opened the door, various sounds of an auto shop with a vast amount of work being done. Once the door closed again, the noise vanished and Jonko spoke.

"She's going to beat the crap out of us, isn't she?" I looked over at Jonko's face.

" *Yep." * Axel said before the door opened again and a slightly nervous Lulu looked through the doorway.

" She wants to see you back here... now." She swallowed.
