Kyle is the Omega of the Dark Crescent Wolf Pack. However he isn't a wolf but a nine tailed fox. He has a unique mutation that allows his blood to transform into cherry blossoms made from a sentient organic metal that is bulletproof.
The Alpha is all for the traditional mating process . So what happens when Kyle finds his mate and not only is he human but a male as well?
Dedicated to my loving mate
(Kyle)
The birds of the early morning woke me from my slumber. I am the Omega of the Dark Crescent Wolf Pack. Only problem? Well I'm not a wolf not by any stretch of the imagination. Do they treat me well? Not necessarily.
The again they didn't know that I had my own little secret. My blood became cherry blossoms made of a sentient organic metal that I can use to attack or defend myself. Still It's not like I have any reason to do so just yet.
Mating season was around the corner but as the Omega I wasn't really allowed to participate in such. As with every werewolf I did have a mate but do to being a fox I wasn't exactly allowed to be at the gatherings that happened among the wolves.
The small freedoms I were allowed such as the library, going to school, and my part time job working as the janitor at one of the stores owned by the pack made my odds of finding a mate very slim at best. Let me tell you that the mating urges are hell. Even when I'm practically locked in my own room with the big bad wolves pounding hard at the door.
Well the unmated ones anyway They weren't exactly in control and I can't blame them but I refuse to let anyone touch me like that but my mate. I've never had to beat them off of me but there have been some very close calls.
I made my way to the kitchen to prepare the packs breakfast. Since It was just us were's in the house I was currently in my anthro form. Basically I was a nine tailed fox with cherry blossom tattoos that walked and was able to talk like a human.
All weres have four forms. You have the anthro form, the full were form, and the half form. As you know anthro was our animal with human abilities. The full were form was us a full animal, and our half form gave us our ears, tails, and claws but no fur. Last one is standard human we keep our enhanced senses but they are a bit a dimmer then normal.
Some of the pack trickled into the room as I cooked and almost as soon as I put down a plate it would be taken. I worked as fast as I could ignoring the insults and muttered words because I wasn't fast enough to keep up with the growing number of wolves and their ferocious appetites.
Finally I finished just as the Alpha himself walked in with his mate. I served them both with my head bowed respectfully and then going without breakfast as per usual I shifted to my human form and grabbed my bag before beginning the walk to school.
See everyone else took their cars or the bus to school. I preferred walking as it let me stay away from the rest of the pack. I mean they weren't that bad but just because I'm not a wolf doesn't mean I'm any less of a were then they are.
Anyway enough ranting about wolves. I managed to make my way to school in time to get the last of the meals from the breakfast line and I ate fast as I made my way to class. It wasn't enough food to keep me going but I was used to it.
I'd learn to ignore my stomach constantly screaming for more. Now among the school's population I did hang with the humans. While the others tended to stay with the pack I found the humans to be easier to handle and more accepting then most.
I headed to my first period class and got to work on my math problems for the day. I hate math but I'm glad I get rid of it at the start of the day. I finished the problem of the day then took notes during the lecture.
I moved to my second class Biology a class I very much enjoyed. I sat down to start class when a new student joined us. It almost instantly generated whispers along the mind link of the pack. I however couldn't stop a warm feeling emerging from within as I looked at the new kid. MINE! shouted my fox Nakishodo.
(Josh)
Being the new kid in school sucks let me tell you. As I was introduced I did notice someone starring at me like I was a cool drink of water in a burning desert. I blushed and averted my gaze. "My name is Josh. I moved here from Canada and hope to have a good time here."
After I spoke I chose to move to a seat far away from the staring guy. I took out my books and got to work on my classwork. When the bell rang I glanced at my time schedule and saw that I had computer class.
I looked it up on the school map and made my way there the guy that made me blush was headed the opposite direction. It looked like he was forcing himself to walk away from me instead of going after me.
"First he stares at me and now it looks like he is fighting the urge to tackle me What is with him?" I thought to myself as I wove through the foot traffic to the lab. Once there I got a computer and got my log information from the teacher.
I logged in and began to type on the page in the book that was do today. I was a good typer from all my hours of online gaming so it didn't take me long to complete the lesson. I decided to fool around on the internet for the rest of the class period so I opened the browser and flipped to my gamer account
The school filter service denied me access to the page stating the reason as forums content.I flipped through a few other sites or at least I tried too. The school's filter blocked most of what I tried to look at.
I could of course tried to find away around the lockout but It would take to much time and I didn't really care too. At least at this point in time.
When the bell rang I saw my next period had several choices listed.I chose study hall and moved to go find it. Once I got there I noticed the boy from before and nodded to him as I took a seat a table away.
The strange boy nodded towards me in return his eyes a deep blue as he lingered over my face for a few more minuets. There was something in his gaze that made me blush. I just couldn't help it.
(Kyle)
It took all my will power not to approach him. It was a hard battle for both Nakishodo and myself. The fact that it was mating season wasn't helping any either. I'm sure my slightly aroused scent was tipping off the pack that my libido was well and functioning.
Just not for the reason they probably thought. See the pack assumes I'm straight and they couldn't be more wrong but why should I do anything to break that perception? Let them believe what they wish. However with my mate being so close to us my body was demanding I go after him.
But it would have just been lust and I didn't want my mate's first impression of me to be a horny fox. So I excused myself to go to the restroom. Once there I went inside a stall and locked it. Then I eased down my pants and sat on the commode.
"A quick paw should do me good" I thought or rather I hoped as I didn't want to be consumed by my hormones all day. But then I stopped myself as I heard someone come into the restroom and just hit the toilet to flush it got up and zipped up. I moved to the sink and splashed my face several times and the shock of cold water helped to wake me up some from my haze.
I knew his name and I also knew that I had made him blush. "Josh" I said softly in my head with Nakishodo murring in happiness at knowing our mate's name. I returned back to study hall and paused by his table. "I'm Kyle. I hope your finding the school to your liking."
He jumped lightly as it seemed like i had scared him. I mentally cursed myself but kept a gentle smile on my face. "I-it's good so far" he replied blushing once more. "Are you OK?" I asked with some concern.
"I-I'm f-fine." he replied with a deeper blush. I felt sorry for him and made myself walk away so I wouldn't embarrass him further. "Have a good rest of your day Josh." I said making my voice warm as I turned away even though it felt like it physically hurt myself to do so.
Thankfully though the bell rang then and I was able to go to Lunch. It's pure torture making myself sit in the far corner away from Josh so I don't do or say anything I'll regret. Some of the pack pass by and it's a mixed bag of smirks and looks of concern. The dim buzzing of the pack link doesn't even register anymore as I erect as much of a mental barrier around it as I can, it wouldn't stop the alpha but it would let me be alone in my own head.
I thought about Josh as I got up to get in the lunch line my nose telling me that Jared one of my few friends was close by. I looked up and saw that he was a few spots ahead of me in line. I waved to him and he nodded to me in return before turning his focus to the line and moving up. Behind me just happened to be one of my fellow outcasts though for different reasons. Her name was Miranda and she had her head shaved bald to prove that a girl just doesn't have to look pretty.
She is the smartest person at the school and very little escaped her notice. She could have readily taught some of the subjects better than the teachers themselves and she knew it too. However she wasn't all high and mighty and she was willing to help other less gifted students out. Thanks to her most of our school was performing above average on their state administered tests. She also had one secret that anyone outside of the pack would never know. She was the pack doctor and of course her nose already told her about my problem. However she had one advantage over the rest of the pack, She knew I was gay so unlike everyone else in the pack who was wondering what girl caught my attention she knew it was a guy.
As the line moved forward she said so quietly that even I had to strain to hear her "Who is it?" I didn't have to ask what she meant her tone was indicator enough. "Josh the new kid." I told her just as quietly. As we talked the line moved forwards and looking at the menu by the door I decided to go for the taco salad instead of the mystery meat they were calling hamburgers. As the line moved further forwards she asked "Is he your mate?" I sigh lightly not caring that it's audible and I nod worry evident on my face. She gives me a look that promises to continue this conversation later when we have more privacy and then I collect my food and she gets hers and we go our separate ways.
As I move to my lonely corner I watch Josh as he enters the cafeteria with a packed lunch. He looks around as if searching for a familiar face. Someone calls him over, perhaps a friend he made during one of the classes from this morning and he sits with them. At least he looks to be adjusting alright I think to my self and Nakishodo makes a sound of agreement. I turn my attention to my meal and manage to eat half of it before taking the rest to the trash. Normally I would never waste food but my mind is elsewhere today.
So much elsewhere in fact that I don't take the normal detour that would prevent me from coming within ten feet of the alpha, his mate and the other high ranking members of the pack. I hear mental growls down the pack link and I look up realizing where I am and I move away from the spot hurriedly.
Thankfully the bell rings then and the great tide of humanity rises and separates us. I'm sure I'll pay for my little transgression later but for now I am safe. I think I will have just enough time to prepare supper before my punishment comes. As I head to my History class next a subject I very much enjoyed. The teacher was amazing and made the class really fun.
The lesson for today covered the second battle of the Civil War so I sat down to read the chapter and do the questions at the end of it.The work doesn't take me long and so for the rest of the class after turning in my assignment I laid my head on the desk and just rested my mind. Nakishodo seemed to be resting himself and the sounds of his breathing were soothing.
The rest of the day passed by in a blur and if you asked me what happened during the last two classes I couldn't tell you. My mind was on my mate and though I did my best to focus I still found it difficult. Once home I moved to the kitchen to cook up some chilly humming softly as I did so. I didn't hear the rest of the pack enter.
By this time I was already serving the meal and once I finished that the other's began to take their seats. However one of them thought it would be interesting to strike at me. Even distracted my reflexes kicked in. I grabbed their arm and promptly flipped them over my shoulder and had them crash to the ground and my foot on their throat before realizing what I had done. By this point it was to late to rectify so I pressed my foot down a bit more firmly.
"It wouldn't be wise to fuck with me today. I don't care what your position is." The wolf beneath me growled dangerously as I removed my foot and stepped back."If you two are going to kill each other take it outside." the said and I realize it was Brian that I just made hit the dirt. Well this should be fun. I think as I move to go towards the back door.
Once outside I move to the sparring ring that was set up to allow the wolves to get out their aggressions. As I move I shift to my anthro form.I don't quite understand what's gotten in me but I feel dangerous and I like it. Brian had moved across from me and a group of fellow pack members join us. They are all in Brian's corner of course but I'm so tired of being controlled and put down. I make my challenge. "I Kyle the Omega of the Dark Cresent Moon Pack Here by Challenge Brian for his Beta Position."
Now Brian has no choice. He will lose face if he doesn't accept my challenge and that is the one thing he will not allow to happen. His image is oh so important to him. "You don't have a chance Fox." It's time to play my Ace. On my back twin wounds open and flowers flow from the rich red blood entwining themselves around my body as the stream continues. I let it go on for several more moments and then I make the wound close. By this point I am wrapped in my flowers from head to toe and I smile wickedly at him. "I have more of a chance than you might think." My flowers remove my kimono as I speak leaving only the lower part of my robe still on my body.
Brian laughs and the sound irritates me. "You think flowers are going to stop me?" he said hardly able to stand from his laughter. "Oh they won't stop you Brian." My voice is so cold it could freeze the very ground itself. "They are going to kill you and I'm going to enjoy ever little sound of pain you make." That turned him sober and he extends his claws now in his anthro form as well. "Just try it Fox." "Oh I will. For those of you watching you might want to write him a last will and testament."
As I finish speaking every muttered word and attack that ever came from Brian floods to the fore front of my vision as as it plays in a continuous loop I felt myself begin to shake with rage. I'm not seeing red yet but i will be soon if I don't temper my anger. A silver line of calm plays it's way through my mind and I slip it around my anger like a controlling cord.
During this Brian thought it would be a good time to rush me as my gaze appeared to be distant and far off. as he moved to attack me with a slash I met the slash with my flowers and smiled as I saw one of his claws severed down to the root before he drew his hand back and looked at the now cut claw. "What you needed a trim." I say with a grin.
Brian took a step back more cautious now as he moved to circle me. I don't turn to track his movements. I have my ears for that and he will be withing striking range of my flowers no matter what he does. As if to prove my point as he lashes out with a slash my flowers on their own accord wrap firmly around his arm and squeeze
At first Brian just tries to pull his hand back but he can't not even if he pulled with all his strength and a few moments later he must have as he yelled in pain as his arm was pulled from his shoulder. "You can surrender now you know. I don't care." I said softly looking bored. His friends that had before laughed at me are now dead silent.
I don't flinch when Brian lunges at me and I sidestepped He goes flying by and almost slams into one of his friends and on his dislocated shoulder an animal sound of rage and pain is made as he struggled to get to his feet his friend moving to get out of the way. I walked towards him steadily my flowers with drawing as he finally managed to get back up. I Kicked at his back leg to take him down and my kick connected. "Consider this your lesson. Just because I'm omega doesn't mean I can't kick your ass if I want too." I turn to go and the gathered crowd parts like the red sea.
I ignore the rest of the pack as I start dinner choosing to do a simple comfort food of chicken and dumplings as well as making some cornbread to go with it as well. I hear Brian and his friends going bye as I do so to head to the pack doctor to be patched up. I didn't kill him like I said but I proved my point well enough I think.
Respect for me has risen among his friends I'm sure and that is quite the valuable investment within this pack. I finish dinner and then slip from the kitchen and head outside the full moon playing against my fur as I shift to my full fox form after getting naked and my tattoos and dark blue fur dance within the rays of the moon. I go for a run and as I do I find myself wondering were exactly my mate stays. Despite my sensitive nose I couldn't trace him if I wanted too I would need something of his in order to track him like say a lock of hair.
I began to slow down as I was approaching one of my favorite spots within the pack lands more so when there was a full moon outside. I stretched out on the grass and let the moonlight play along my fur in hypnotizing patterns. If anyone was to come this way tonight they would think me as a wraith of the night.
I soak in the silence finding comfort in the total lack of sound. I don't even react when I hear a branch snap nearby. Due to the foot falls it could only be one of the pack and for that reason I have no reason to worry. Under the light of the full moon my flowers get a boost in strength.
I thought I might find you here. Came Miranda's slightly amused voice and the grey wolfess settled down beside me. Are they looking for me?" I asked curiously. If they were they would never find you. You choose your spots well. If I didn't know you liked the moonlight against your fur I wouldn't have chosen to come here. She replied via the mind link.
I fell silent for a few moments before hearing her laugh quietly. "Your thinking of him aren't you?" _ _"Yes" I admitted. "He's not a were is he?" No he isn't which has me worried." "Your strong Kyle. You would never let anyone harm him. But you better be careful in approaching him." "I will." I promised before moving to stand up and shaking myself to get the dirt and the like out of my fur before turning to head back. Miranda followed me and we moved at a slow easy pace.
It took us awhile to get back and we didn't talk during that time as we didn't feel the need too. Just respected one another's silence. Once back at the house I ducked behind some trees to shift back and dress and I assumed that she had done the same because when I rounded the corner to head in she was fully dressed.
"Goodnight Kyle, Goodnight Naki." she said before heading to her shack off to the side of the pack house. "Goodnight Miranda, Goodnight Nadine." I called to her as she left and she waved her hand in acknowledgement. I headed inside and made my way to my bedroom to rest for the next morning.
