#3 of The Streets of New York

The third installment in the series, sorry for the long delay but I've been sidetracked with work and writer's block and all that fun stuff. As always please vote and leave comments, I like to have lots of reader input. I have quite a few good ideas as where to take this story, so expect a few new installments over the next few weeks.

Â

Tory awoke in bed with a start, faintly aware that the wolf he had fallen asleep with in his arms was no longer there. He gazed across his bedroom, rubbing his eyes and searching for the black form among the shadows of the darkened room.

Â

He sat up in a panic, hoping that the wolf wouldn't hadn't repeated himself and walked out like last time. The fox climbed quickly out of bed, the pads of his feet landing silently on the thin carpet below.

Â

He first looked towards the bathroom, and seeing no light from under the door jam, left the bedroom and walked into the living room. Looking into the kitchen he didn't see the wolf at the table either.

Â

"Hey..." a voice called softly to him from behind, making him jump. He turned around quickly and saw Stef sitting back on the couch, obviously pleased that he had startled the fox.

Â

"You thought I left you again?" the wolf asked him with a smile. He looked strikingly different than the previous night, the dark green dress traded for a pair of white and blue striped boxers that Tory recognized as his own.

Â

Tory gaped at the slender wolf sitting back on his couch, his obsidian fur slightly ruffled, muscles visible through the fur. His bright amber eyes stared deeply at him, and Tory suddenly felt very confused. He couldn't quite figure out what part of Stef was truly appealing to him, the female wolf that had the dirty secret or the male now in front of him.

Â

"Just checking to see where you went," Tory finally answered after a pause, hoping the wolf hadn't noticed him staring.

Â

"I just woke up a little while ago; I came out here so I wouldn't bother you. Hope you don't mind that I borrowed some clothes, that dress really isn't an everyday outfit for me," Stef answered back, traces of a smile across his muzzle. Clearly he had seen Tory staring at him and didn't care; rather his eyes almost conveyed a sense of flattery.

Â

Standing and talking to the wolf so nonchalantly was making Tory slightly uneasy. Part of him wanted to pick up where they had left off last night, but at the moment he wasn't at all comfortable with it. He had felt a connection with the wolf, he was sure of that, but he wasn't sure if it was the female or the male he was feeling connected to.

Â

On the other paw he knew he wasn't gay, and his brain tried to convince him to get out, that it was just a harmless experiment. After all the only reason he was interested in the wolf to begin with was because he thought Stef was a female.

Â

But that line of thinking made the fox feel like he was lying to himself and being unfair to Stef, and he couldn't figure out why he felt that way. He could have stopped Stef when he found out the truth last night, right?

Â

But he hadn't stopped him, and Tory felt like that decision was holding more weight than the fox wanted to think about at the moment.

Â

"Something wrong?" a voice called softly to him, breaking his conversation. Tory blinked slowly and looked down at the wolf, who was peering up at him with an inquisitive look on his face.

Â

Tory realized he had faded into his thoughts and drifted off, and was looking rather stupidly at the jet black form in front of him.

Â

"Just...thinking I guess," he said after a moment, for some reason not wanting to tell him what was wrong.

Â

"Well try thinking about what you wanna do for breakfast, cause I'm starving," the wolf said playfully, rubbing his stomach.

Â

Tory shook off the lingering confusion and decided he could ponder the situation later. He had a feeling sorting his sexuality out in his brain would take longer than he wanted, and at the moment he didn't want to begin to think about it.

Â

"Let's just go get some breakfast somewhere; I don't usually eat anything in the mornings so there's not much here."

Â

"Sounds good to me," the wolf quipped as Tory made his way to the bathroom and closed the door. He felt the sudden need for a shower and reached down to turn on the faucet. As the faucet came to life he remembered Stef didn't have anything to where, so he poked his muzzle out the door.

Â

"Hey you can grab some clothes from my..." he began, only stopping because he saw the wolf's black form standing right outside the door, Tory's pair of blue boxers nowhere to be found on him.

Â

"Thought I could join you stud," the wolf implored, the sparkle in his eyes begging the fox, "I gotta clean up too."

Â

A lump rose from Tory's cream-colored chest all the way into his throat. Unable to answer he just slowly nodded, a bewildered expression painted across his muzzle.

Â

The wolf reached a paw up to the side of his muzzle and pulled him into a kiss. At first Tory felt the urge to pull away, but the feeling of the Stef's lips against his shoved the feeling to the back of his mind.

Â

He felt the wolf's other paw working its way under his boxers to grab his rapidly hardening sheath, so Tory quickly returned the favor, rubbing the wolf's thick sheath, already aware that a bit of pink had worked its way out.

Â

The pair carefully backed up to the small walk in shower, taking care not to topple over onto the tile below. Stepping under the water the wolf gave a sudden yelp, and Tory backed away, not sure if he had done something wrong.

Â

"Sorry," he said sheepishly, reaching to turn the faucet near his waist. "The water's really cold."

Â

"That's my fault," Tory said quickly, oddly happy with himself that he hadn't been the cause of the outburst from the wolf. "I turned it on but never checked the temperature."

Â

"No problem," the wolf said to him with a smile as the pair stepped under the pleasantly warm water. "Now where were we?" he asked, not waiting for an answer from the fox, but instead dropping to his knees and taking the fox's length into his muzzle.

Â

Tory couldn't help but moan and lean back against the wall of the shower. Little rivulets of water ran down in trails through his fur, the tile of the shower cool against his back.

Â

The wolf's tight muzzle was making Tory pant, his mouth warm enough to make even the hot water of the shower feel ice cold.

Â

Stef seemed to be worked with fevered enthusiasm, taking Tory's rapidly engorging knot all the way into his muzzle, his paws massaging the fox's white sac.

Â

Tory slowly rubbed the top of the wolf's head, fingers massaging between his ears, as he fought the urge to grab the back of his head and pump into the jet black muzzle below him.

Â

The black muzzle moved up and down his cock, pausing slightly when he reached the tip to flick it with his tongue.

Â

The feeling was quickly overwhelming Tory and he didn't know how long he could last with the wolf working him over like this.

Â

As that thought crossed his mind Stef reached a paw around to the base of his tail and pushed an extended claw into his tailhole. Tory clenched involuntarily, the added pleasure too much for him.

Â

With a groan he pulled the wolf tight to him and drained his erection into the black muzzle. Stef sucked down greedily on his cock, drinking him down.

Â

He let Tory's cock drop from his mouth and the fox slumped back further against the shower wall, his body comfortably numb.

Â

The wolf stood back up and kissed him deeply, pushing his tongue into Tory's muzzle. The fox tasted his own musk strongly on the wolf and felt himself start to harden again.

Â

Whether it was wolf turning him on or just the feeling he got from doing something that was supposed to be so wrong he didn't know; a few minutes earlier he would have considered kicking the wolf out and pretending this whole thing hadn't happened. Tory knew he wasn't gay, but he couldn't help but feel more than just sexual gratification from the black wolf currently locking lips with him.

Â

The unmistakable connection he felt with the wolf kept coming back to him, a feeling he couldn't get rid of, thoughts he couldn't ignore.

Â

Stef quit kissing him and looked at him with the same inquiring look as earlier that morning. Tory knew what he was going to say before he even opened his muzzle, and the fox decided to silence him before the first words even left his mouth.

Â

Dropping to his knees Tory took the wolf's already hard member into his own muzzle, eliciting a pitiful moan from the canine that Tory would have smiled at if he could have.

Â

The taste wasn't as horrible as Tory had imagined. The wolf's musk was more enticing than his own, but didn't taste as strong as Tory would have imagined. He couldn't take Stef in as deep as the wolf had taken him, but from the moans and pants he heard above, the fox had a feeling Stef wasn't about to start complaining.

Â

"You know..." the wolf panted, pulling Tory off of his cock for a moment, "you don't have to do this. I know you're new to all this and I don't want to pressure you into doing anything you don't want to do."

Â

"Yeah I know," Tory replied with a wide grin across his muzzle, grabbing back onto the wolf's cock and giving it a slow lick from the base to the tip.

Â

Another low moan was all he got in response, so Tory figured he wouldn't hear anything more from the wolf.

Â

He took the tip back into his muzzle, running his wide tongue around the top and bottom, using his paws to massage the wolf's large knot and the furry black sac between his legs.

Â

The fox worked Stef's member from top to bottom, eliciting moan after moan from the wolf. He was sure he wasn't as good as Stef was, and was ready for the wolf to last considerably longer than he had.

Â

He was surprised when only a few moments later he heard another panting attempt at a sentence from above him.

Â

"I'm gonna...about to..." was all he could make out from between his labored breathing.

Â

Although Tory was feeling adventurous enough to give him a blow job, he wasn't about to see how much he could swallow his first time. He let the large member drop from his muzzle and starting stroking the entire length, helping the wolf finish.

Â

A large stream of cum coated his paw, the next one hitting him across the chest, the water causing it to run down his stomach.

Â

The wolf heaved a contented sigh as Tory stood, grabbing the fox's muzzle with a free paw and pulling him into a quick kiss.

Â

The pair managed to clean up and finish after only a few more minutes, giving each other nothing more than a few quick kisses and some playful rubs.

Â

Tory handed the wolf a towel as he turned the faucet off, and followed him out of the bathroom, steam billowing from the door as he opened it.

Â

"We can dry ourselves in the living room while if you want," he told the wolf, beckoning towards the couch.

Â

The two sat quietly on the couch, Tory flicking on the news when he sat down. Both canine and vulpine watched the female news otter run down the usual list of depressing stories. There was an update on the Black Isle break in, with no new information, Tory noted, and various reports on other burglaries, muggings and corrupt city officials.

Â

"The news is always so miserable," Stef said somberly, tracing a claw across Tory's white chest as they gazed at the screen.

Â

Tory had noticed how depressing the news had become, but kept watching every morning in the hopes there was a story relevant to something he was working on.

Â

"I know," the fox remarked in response, the end of the wolf's tail clenched in fist, his fingers rubbing the tip.

Â

"But sometimes they have useful information on there, and if it can help me at work I might as well watch," he continued.

Â

"There's always the newspaper you know," Stef suggested, letting his paw rest softly on Tory's thigh.

Â

"Yeah but who has time for the paper anymore?" Tory answered, rising from the couch.

Â

"C'mon, let's get some breakfast before I head into work," he said, grabbing the wolf's paw and pulling him up off the couch.

Â

"You can get whatever you want from my closet, I'm gonna get some coffee before I fall back asleep," he told the wolf as he headed into the kitchen.

Â

He grabbed a mug down from the cabinet, as well as the small canister he kept the coffee grounds in. The warm smell of coffee rose to his nose, instantly waking him up a little. He set his mug down on the table and walked over to the fridge to pull out a half gallon of milk.

Â

He set the milk on the table and moved over to the coffee maker filling it with water, and dumping the coffee grounds into the filter on top. He switched it on as he finished, glancing over at his bedroom door to see if the wolf had finished getting dressed.

Â

The coffee finished percolating after a few minutes and Tory poured himself a cup, adding a little milk and a spoonful of sugar from the dish he kept on the stove.

Â

He was starting to wonder what was taking Stef so long when he saw a black form appear in his doorway.

Â

Stef had chosen a pair of dark jeans that Tory noticed were slightly rolled up at the bottom, probably due to the fact that Tory was probably a good three inches taller than the wolf.

Â

He had also picked out one of Tory's favorite collared shirts to wear, a long-sleeved black one with silver buttons up the front. The shirt matched nicely with his fur, making his pitch black coat stand out even more.

Â

"Like it?" he asked as Tory took a sip from his mug.

Â

"Yeah, almost better than the dress," he replied jokingly, taking another long sip.

Â

"True, but that dress probably cost about three times more than this shirt," he answered playfully, "and I looked much better in the dress," he said in a matter-of-fact tone, touching a finger to the fox's nose as he walked into the kitchen.

Â

Tory went into his bedroom to get dressed, the once exciting ritual of donning his holster and badge now no more than a daily routine. He grabbed another collared shirt from his closet, a dark blue cut wide in the shoulder that would do a passable job of hiding the holster underneath.

Â

As he pulled on a pair of jeans he drank in the smell of the wolf's musk that lingered in the closet. He paused for a moment to enjoy the scent, then grabbed his keys and cigarettes and walked towards the kitchen, closing the bedroom door behind him.

Â

As Tory made his way into the kitchen he grabbed two Styrofoam cups and lids from a cabinet above the stove, pouring the now lukewarm coffee from his mug into one. He split the remaining coffee in the pot between the two cups, and grabbed the milk from the table.

Â

"How do you take yours?" he asked, holding the coffee cup up for the wolf to see.

Â

"A little milk and some sugar if you don't mind," Stef responded, taking the cup and lid from Tory after he mixed it.

Â

"Sorry to run out of here so fast but I wanted us to have time to eat before I have to be at work," he said fixing a lid atop his own cup.

Â

"That's fine, I have to be to work in a little bit too," Stef answered with a wave of his paw, "anywhere in particular you want to eat?"

Â

"No, I'm not picky, anywhere is good," replied nonchalantly as the pair walked out his apartment door, the fox pausing to lock the door behind him.

Â

"There's a diner a couple blocks over from here that makes great breakfast food," the wolf said as they rode down the elevator.

Â

Tory's ears perked slightly and he glanced over at the wolf next to him. "Wait, is it across from a dry cleaner about three blocks that way?" he implored, gesturing to the left with a paw.

Â

"Yeah, actually," Stef answered, looking back at him as the elevator reached the lobby with a soft ding.

Â

"That's my favorite breakfast place," he said with a smile, holding the lobby door open for the wolf as they exited the building.

Â

Tory didn't know why but he suddenly felt very pleased that Stef liked the same diner he did. He knew it was stupid; after all, hundreds of people probably eat there. But the fact that he had another common interest with the wolf gave him a feeling of approval, like something unknown to him was being justified.

Â

He pondered the thought for another moment as he took out a cigarette, digging deep in his pocket for a lighter. He became annoyed when he couldn't find one in his front pockets, and almost stopped on the sidewalk to dig deeper in his pockets when Stef handed him one.

Â

"Here," he said, thrusting the piece of red plastic into his paw, "you musta left this one in your pocket last time."

Â

"Thanks," he said holding up the lighter, "you don't mind do you?"

Â

"Not at all," he answered, shaking his head as Tory flicked the lighter, taking a long drag after he lit the cigarette hanging from his muzzle.

Â

"I don't suppose I could get you to quit by telling you it's bad for you?" he proposed, taking a long sip from his cup.

Â

"Maybe sometime, I've thought about quitting lately, I just can't seem to do it," he remarked puffing a cloud of smoke up into the air.

Â

"Well let me reiterate that it's bad for you, cancer and all that fun stuff," he explained as the two turned onto the next block.

Â

"But," he said, pausing to take another drag, exhaling slowly, "there's nothing quite as relaxing as a cigarette."

Â

"You could try yoga or meditation or something like that," Stef suggested as they neared the end of the block.

Â

"Yoga!?" he laughed at the thought of himself doing yoga, "could you see me doing yoga?"

Â

"Oh, I've seen you in some rather interesting positions before; I think you could manage it," he replied quietly, eliciting a rather shocked look from the fox at his side.

Â

They turned the corner onto the block where the diner was located, waiting for a bus to pass before they crossed the street. Tory finished his cigarette in silence, stomping it out on the curb as they neared the diner entrance.

Â

As they stepped inside Tory squinted and rubbed his eyes at the change in light, stopping for a second to let his eyes adjust. Both of them tossed their cups of coffee in the trashcan near the door, looking forward to the fresh coffee from the diner.

Â

Tory looked around the diner for an open table, noticing a corner booth open at the far end of the restaurant. He pointed at the table, Stef nodding in agreement, and the pair weaved their way through the crowd towards the table.

Â

They sat on opposite sides of the booth, the red vinyl seats squeaking slightly as they slid into the booth and sat down.

Â

Tory saw the same weasel from before was waitressing again, and she smiled as she recognized Tory and walked over to their table.

Â

"You're looking much better today officer, you sort things out with that girl?" she asked pleasantly, pouring coffee into the mugs she set on the table.

Â

"Oh yeah he did," Stef grinned, cutting Tory off before he could say anything, "he made out all right with her, got everything sorted out."

Â

"That's good hon, nice to see a nice young fox like you get past your troubles," she said, smiling back at the wolf.

Â

"The house special good for you boys?" she asked, writing down their orders as they both nodded.

Â

As she walked away to put in their orders Tory turned to look at the wolf, a bemused expression on his face.

Â

"Girl trouble?" he asked, cracking an even wider smile.

Â

"No girls," Tory grumbled, "just you."

Â

"Oh well I can understand that, I can be quite a handful sometimes," he quipped, taking a sip from his mug.

Â

The rest of breakfast was wonderful; the pair talking nonstop about Stef's work, and the kind of cases Tory worked on as they waited for their food. He told the wolf a little about the Black Isle break in, as he had a feeling he would end up involved with it at some point.

Â

Their conversation skirted the topic of the tiger Stef claimed to know, but as Tory felt the urge to press the wolf further on what he knew, their food arrived and he decided to forget asking for now.

Â

They both ate hungrily, not saying a word to each other until their plates were nearly clean. As Tory finished the last bit of his eggs he caught Stef's eye, noting an almost mischievous look on his face.

Â

"What?" he chuckled, a grin spreading on his face.

Â

"I was thinking," he paused, taking a bite of toast, "what do you think about all this, so far?"

Â

"About what?" he asked, picking up his coffee mug and swallowing the last sip of the warm, rich brew.

Â

"About what's happened over the past couple days between you and me. I never met any guys like you, that hadn't really even had gay thoughts about guys," he said quietly.

Â

Even in the low voice, Tory felt a small shock as the thoughts from the back of his mind were pulled out into the open. He wanted to look around to see if anyone had heard, but stopped himself because he knew he was being foolish.

Â

"Well," he hissed angrily under his breath, "I wasn't thinking about it until you said something."

Â

"C'mon, humor me," he said, unaffected by the fox's harsh tone.

Â

"There's nothing to tell," he huffed at the wolf, a little harsher than he had meant to.

Â

"So you are thinking about it," he said, ignoring the fox's annoyance towards him, a tinge of anger evident on his expression. "That's good to know, it'll take a while to sort it all out."

Â

Tory ignored the last comment, looking away from the wolf's gaze and down at his empty plate.

Â

"Listen," Stef said sharply, grabbing Tory's attention and making him look up into the amber eyes across from him. "I know it's a lot to take in right now, but keep thinking about it."

Â

"Right, everything will become clear, I'll just figure out what I want overnight," the fox retorted angrily, growing tired of the wolf pressing the subject with him.

Â

"No," the wolf answered slowly, struggling to stay calm, "just don't ignore your feelings altogether. You'll feel better about everything in time."

Â

Tory didn't answer, and couldn't bring himself to look anywhere but down at his plate again. He knew the wolf was probably right but he couldn't bring himself to admit that.

Â

After a few more moments of silence the black form across the table stood with a sigh.

"Now I have to get going to work," the wolf said briskly, a strained smile on his face.

Â

"Call me when you get off work if you want to grab dinner, I'm always up late," he added, taking a few bills from his pocket and tossing them on the table.

Â

"And thanks for the good time stud, see ya around," he said, turning and walking to the door without a look back.

Â

Tory wanted to get up and follow the wolf, apologize for how he was acting, but he couldn't bring himself to stand up. He secretly hoped he wouldn't figure anything out, that things would just go back to the way they were.

Â

Stef had tricked him into this; it wasn't like he consciously decided to sleep with another guy. Tory could feel the twinge of anger rising in his chest when he thought back on the first night. He felt robbed, cheated almost out of the decision.

Â

He had liked Stef when he thought he was a she; it wasn't fair that he'd been drawn in to all this with the wolf.

Â

With a frustrated growl he got up, taking out his wallet to cover his half of the bill. He left some bills on the table, and took out his cigarettes, placing one in his mouth before he even got to the door.

Â

The fox stormed out past the bar to the door, receiving disapproving looks from several annoyed customers, letting the door slam behind him.

Â

Walking down the street back towards his apartment he tried to zone out and forget everything before he headed to work. He lit the cigarette in his mouth, taking a long drag and enjoying the dizzying buzz that swarmed his head.

Â

He looked around vainly for the wolf, hoping that he would be waiting outside for him or walking ahead of him on the sidewalk. He didn't see the black canine anywhere in the crowd walking along the sidewalk, and felt a twinge of regret for not following him out of the diner.

Â

Maybe he would call the wolf tonight, and maybe he'd just forget this all happened. He didn't know why he had let this get so far, why everything seemed so out of hand at the moment.

Hopefully work would offer some respite, something to take his mind off of his current thoughts.

The russet-colored fox walked back to the parking lot outside his building chain smoking cigarettes the entire walk back. He drank in the usual din of city noise, sirens in the distance, shouts from all street corners and buildings and the usual street peddlers trying to sell him fake Rolex's for twice what they were worth.

Â

He reached his apartment building and climbed into the front seat of his car. Tory suddenly felt very sick of his life, as his paws gripped the black plastic of the steering wheel.

Â

He was tired of the same shit at work, and he was sure getting tired of thinking about his situation with Stef.

Â

He needed a break from everything, he huffed to himself, starting the engine and backing the car out of the spot. Just a break from everything.
