Project Freedom Chapter 1: One Last Saturday
In a gated community townhomes lay silently tucked away in neat yards. The blazing sun broking past the early morning clouds. Vehicle not parked in the garages, beamed rays of light off the windows of nearby homes. Sprinkles dancing with sprays of water, leaving behind a wonderland of rainbows, and cool air.
At the end of one culdesac a two story house of white siding, a wall made to appear as cobble stone, and a porch of dark wood cut off to the left. The porch covered in either ivy or flower pots make a cozy frame around the large bay window. Mid way cut into the porch was steps, perfectly aligned with the large wooden glass stain glass door. It was in this very house, that the kitchen was being used by a ginger colored, otter.
The bubbling and popping of the coffee pot, had the otter's nose bobbing. His toes curled up at the smell of the strong scent of the dark liquid honey. In a way it made him feel a little better about the day. Gingerly he pawed his crotch that was hidden behind the white briefs he wore followed by a yaw and long stretch. Reaching for a bowl, his rudder bobbed about along with his little ears. Stuffed away small head phones played away to "Whicha Say" by Jason Derulo. His hips and rump weaving without him evening thinking, as he ad libbed with the music.
QUARK!!!
Jack's eyes rolled, as he put the bowl he was reach for down, and fumbled for the digital device he had slipped into his briefs. Oddly held in place between his otter lumps.
"Hello son, you are requested to come home for dinner Sunday. Bring David and Nate with you." --Mom.
His tail dropped slapping the floor with a sigh. Nose wiggling, whiskers even dropping Jake, sat the bowl down leaning against the fridge. How was he going to tell his mom what happened?
"Something the matter, Jack?" The soft rocky voice spoke from beside the fridge.
Jack yelped looking over to see the hunk of a liger standing there, arms crossed showing off his massive cut arms, and the barrel of a chest. That long tail bouncing around, from which only Jack knew was from the romp that took place in the shower. The very idea of having to get in and small what happened made Jack's belly uneasy.
"Ah...nothing Nate." Jack's voice cracked, as he turned off the device. Returning to making his breakfast.
"Jack..." Nate huffed, his maw drew up with a hiss, calling the bluff, "I seen the message from here."
The otters shoulders dropped, his darker brown fur looked like liquid in the morning sunlight. Nate stood there, his arms crossed still watching. It was the silence that seemed to fill that moment of time, both men not know what to say or do.
"Jac..." Nate began to walk up, but stopped now hearing the small sniff. "Jack, why are you doing this to yourself!" Nate pointed out, his tone not asking.
Jack shrugged his shoulders, shifting his weight to one hip. All he could do was rub a paw over one arm looking out into space. What do I tell him that I want nothing more than to just let things go back how they used to be?
"Jack, I know how you feel right now." A white paw patted the dark ginger shoulder. It was so large that Jack's body moved forward. A soft purr rumbling out of Nate's chest, when his tail curled around Jack's own. "I get like these even when I get deployed, it never goes away."
The liger pulled Jack around to face him, it was very easy to do being as strong as he was. Jack was so small next to Nate, it was more evident when the liger pulled that board fuzzy head into his belly. Rumbling out deer purrs in hope to ease some of the pain from Jack.
"We still love you Jack, and you are still a major part of our triangle." Nate admitted, rubbing one of Jack's small little ears. "David may play it off, but deep inside I think you shouldn't have done what you did."
"I..." Jack's muffled voice chirped up, "Nate if something happened to me, I was worried it would hurt him and you more. How do you get over that?" His small arms could just barely hug into the torso of muscle.
The very fact he tried, he could feel the liger's purr shiver into his nose pad.
"You don't." Nate hissed, his ears drew back flat. Even his tail grew still, as he pushed the otter back to look at him fully. "Would you want to leave us like that?" His paw gripped under Jack's own small chin.
"I don't..." Jack was cut off.
"You are thinking about this all wrong." Nate spat, the dark mohawk raised on the nap of his neck. "You should leaving knowing when you come home, David and I will be here to love you."
Jack found himself pulled back into that embrace, his heart was hammering so hard he could feel it in his throat. All he wanted to was just stay like this; the feeling of those huge warm paws hanging over his back, the smell of David and Nate mixed in with the white fur. It wasn't long before that very white soft fur of Nate's was stained with yet tears.

Standing in the in the hallway watching a white outline of a wolf stood with a lump in the back of this thorat. Deep inside he was so anger at all this. Jack leaving, all this last week they worked to make it feel like any other week. His wolfish ears lowered as he softly whimpered, feeling the pain sink in. His otter was going to be gone for three year. Never had he and Jack been apart for more than a month or two.
The white wolf flinched when he notice that Nate seen him. He knew that liger was able to pick up almost any movement. He gave in, and walked into the small kitchen wrapping his gray furred arms around Jack from behind. If anything he hope the otter could feel how much he really still loved him.
"David?" Jack's voice was very soft, that rudder of tail brushing the wolf's foot.
"I know Jack." He swallowed the lump holding back his own tears. His nose filled with Jack's scent; it smelled of fear and loss. "But I won't give in, keep hold on. We'll make it through."
"I love you both." Jack admitted, melting into the bodies around him. His cheeks burning hot red, "Well I better get food started then."
All three sets of ears turned to the coffee pot now puffing out a vapor of water. Soft chuckles and giggles of eased minds, breakfast was made very quickly. Of which Nate and David left to Jack's paws, being as he was the better cook.
"Jack?" The smooth voice of David filled the otter's ears. "Nate and I have something for you when we are done here."
"What!?" A rudder starting swing, making that cute otter butt bouch around. Jack was on the balls of his feet turning around.
"Well, Nate and I have something special for you." A cheeky grin painted across David's muzzle.
"Oh yes we do." Nate's voice seductively rumbled out. A fleck of his tail as he reach out to grab a paw full of otter rump. "That we do."
"But, I heard you two in the shower!" Jack blabbed out. His tail raising from the touch.
"We decided to hold off until we could get you in bed for a good old fashion fuck." David bluntly put it. His ears perked up while he licked his nose.
All three fall out with a deep heartfelt laughter, even Jack had to hold his gut. But deep inside apart of him wanting nothing more than to just do it here on the floor and forget breakfast.
